Official state visit to Finland

King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived a day early for a two-days official state visit to Finland. The visit will take place on March 4th and 5th.

The royal couple joined the President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb and hos wife Suxanne Innes-Stubb for a visit in Saariselkä in Inari, in the Finnish Lapland.



Have the feeling that it is going to be a wonderful state visit. Love that the couple arrived a bit early and enjoyed some time in the snow with the Presidential couple. Imagine if stats visits were like this?

Mary is know to wear quite exclusive outdoor brands especially when skiing. When visiting Lapland she kept warm in a pair of brand new Arc'Teryx trousers and a reused navy blue down jacket from Patagonia. Perfectly matched with a knitted beanie, gloves and ski boots.

Gala dinner for arts and culture at Christiansborg

Friday evening King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted their very first gala dinner for arts and culture at Christiansborg. People representing different arts and members of the cultural life in Denmark were invited to the dinner such as representatives from the Ministry of Culture and the court. Queen Margrethe also attended the gala dinner.

The gala dinner for arts and culture was first held by Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik in 1976 and has been a tradition ever since.

Dinner was served, music was played and lancer was danced. Lancer is a favorit of Queen Margrethe.



Well, well, well. Rais your hand if you ever though Mary would wear this Jenny Peckham gown for an event like this? It never crossed my mind but I love it! Mary first wore the incredible sparkly gown at an interview with Financial Times in 2022 with photos taken by photographer Hasse Nielsen. Really beautiful choice.

Mary accessorized the stunning gown with a tiara purchased at a Bruun Rasmussen auction around 2015 when she first wore it at a gala concert on occasion of Queen Margrethe's 75th birthday. She wore earrings similar in style and a HUGE diamond ring. One I would really like to learn more about.

The elegant dusty pink satin pumps are reused from Gianvito Rossi. A fine match to the gown and the pumps. It is from Prada.
