The Berlingske Foundation Honorary Award

Tuesday, January 10th

Crown Princess Mary received The Berlingske Foundation Honorary Award. The ceremony took place at Det Berlingske Hus in Copenhagen.

No doubt that Mary has shown her commitment to the Danish people right from the beginning. Shortly after her marriage with Frederik in 2014, she got engaged in social work, among other things resulted in the Mary Foundation's establishment in 2007. Since then she has become the patron of several international and national organizations as well as foundation's all working to provide, those who need it, a second chance in life. Now her work with as patron of disadvantaged and vulnerable groups in society is rewarded with the Berlingske Foundation Honorary Award! The award is given to someone who has done something unusual for the benefit of the Danish society and has been handed over since 1975. For sure Mary should be proud of herself and what she has achieved! She works hard and that should indeed be rewarded in my opinion. It is not strange at all Mary was in such great mood when she arrived at 3:00 pm local time to the award ceremony. In a well-spoken speech, here, she did not try to hide how honored she was. It was clear to me that the Crown Princess was very grateful to receive the award. A huge and laud congratulations to Mary on behalf of this prestigious honorary award.

It's worth mentioning that the Crown Prince couple attended dinner on occasion of the Mary's new award. According to Billed Bladet, here, the dinner took place at restaurant Le Sommelier near Amalienborg castle. The couple arrived around 7:00 pm. local time. From what I see Mary was dressed in a pair of black velvet trousers, a sparkly turtleneck blouse, metallic cap toe pumps from Gianvito Rossi and a pink Carlend Copenhagen clutch -perfectly matching her Annikat earrings! And the of course we have the black Prada coat, here.

What made this outfit outstanding is indeed the huge smile on her face! Which was beautifully framed by a berry lipgloss. Keeping the style sophisticated and classy she was wearing a brand new figure hugging Etro dress. Kate informed about the identity of the dress, thanks. Usually not something I would have chosen myself because of the pattern, but because the is black I think it works really well. Especially I'm in love with its length and 3/4 sleeves. The rather long dress makes a perfect match with the bit shorter black Prada coat. Very feminine. Maybe you did not notice it, but actually the dress features a belt too. Pretty sure this is not the last time we are going to see her in that specific dress. Both leather gloves, the Quidam clutch and her Gianvito Rossi pumps are black and looks super chic with the printed dress. Mary embraced the style by wearing her Cartier and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen bracelets, three diamond rings and a pair of reused Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings featuring lovely blue pendants.
