Day 1. Youth Innovation Summit in Morocco

03 October

On October 3rd the Crown Princess arrived to Morocco after having visited Frydenhøj School in Hvidovre in the morning, here. From one end to another end of the world. She is in Morocco to participate the Youth Innovation Summit 2019. The summit places place in Rabat - the capital city of Morocco.

The Youth Innovation Summit gathers around a hundred young people. All the talented young people where getting together to try and solve some of Morocco's biggest social and economic challenges with innovative and creative solutions - with the support from a committed Danish Crown Princess.

Shortly after the arrived she already had her first appearance. Usually she does not attend any events till the following day, but the visit only lasted October 3rd and 4th. The Crown Princess was warmly welcomed by, among others, Rachid Talbi Alami (Morocco's Minister of Sports and Youth) and some of the participants.

Crown Princess Mary spend lot of time listening and questioning the young talents participating the summit. With great eagerness they told her about their ideas and what challenges they had to face. She was constantly surrounded by curious young people who wanted to talk to her and get a glimpse of her - we get it, right? Afterwards she attended a dinner on the occasion of the summit.

Arriving to Rabat, Mary was beautifully dressed in a perfect traveling outfit. Unfortunately one picture has been published from her arrival - at least what I know of. She was wearing a brand new Notes Du Nord tweed blazer featuring golden buttons. I already love this new piece so much. I sincerely hope we get to see her wear it soon again at a more public appearance. I learned about the blazer from Heaven. She styled the blazer with what looks like a matching blouse, black fitted trousers, nude loafers and her Prada handbag. What a look.

Attending the seminar in the evening and later on dinner, Mary was dressed in one of her old floral creations from Vilshenko. It was first seen on her at a private christening last year. And it just looks good on her. End of story. She is all comfortable in that dress.

Mary embraced the evening style by wearing several bracelets from both Cartier and Danish Dulong Fine Jewelry. There is also a diamond ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, gorgeous pendant earrings and yet another diamond rind from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Perfect of her to wear bright pink pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Two wonderful outfits, right?

The Media Competition 2019

03 October

As chairwoman and founder of the Mary Foundation, the Crown Princess arrived to Frydenhøj School in Hvidovre because the 7th grade participate in the Media Competition 2019. The schoolclass is just one of many across Denmark participating the competition. This years theme was bout death and serious disease. Because of the theme, this years competition was entitled "Death is something we talk about".

The competition takes place for the 7th time and engage young people in the age of around 13 to 16, to try out different journalistic genres and act as news editor with life and death as the focal point. The project is developed by Politiken, Ekstra Bladet and Jyllands-Poste - three Danish newspapers. This year Østifterne, Children, Youth & Grief and the Mary Foundation joined the project. Although the foundation is only an official part of the project this year, the Crown Princess also supported the Media Competition last year.

The Crown Princess later shared that she enjoyed spending time with the young people participating the competition. She expressed her commitment to the project and how impressive it had been to see that young participating were as committed as they were. She also spend time with the participants listening to their personal stories and what thoughts they had about the theme and project in general.

She also encouraged the young people to share, talk and ask more openly about life and death. To the press she expressed how she talks to her own children about the topic. She try to make it as natural as possible and uses her own experiences to make it more natural.

Frydenhøj School in Hvidovre, Mary was beautifully dressed in a reused outfit. More or less from top to toe. She dazzled in a two-one purple blouse and matching grey trousers from Sandro. First I told you that I did not know where to find her lovely blouse and therefor asked for your help. Luckily Jennifer found what I had been looking for. It turns out that Ted Baker is the designer of Marys jumper - which is a one-piece. The Sandro trousers is a just a wonderful match.

As the trousers, her heeled ankle boots from Prada, is in a lovely grey color. I never thought of wearing these two colors together. Not until Mary showed us how wonderful it looks. She kept accessorizing very simple. I see a couple of old square rose quartz earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Think they goes back to around the time she was about to become Crown Princess. So around the time when they were getting married.

The golde Cartier bangle is probably an anniversary gift - so also something connected to the two of them. Instead of wearing her engagement and wedding rings, she wore a golden Dulong Fine Jewelry ring and another diamond band from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I am simply in love with this outfit. She is so chic and good-looking in her Fall outfit.

Crown Princess Mary is writing history

02 October

It was a huge day on October 2nd for both Crown Princess Mary, her mother-in-law, her husband and for Danish history. From now on the Crown Princess can work as regent if and when Queen Margrethe is, for instance, not around. The decision of making her regent was adopted on at a state council meeting on Wednesday. During the same meeting, she gave her signature and with that she accepted to comply with the Danish Constitution (called Grundlov).

Today, Crown Prince Frederik is the first to take over his mothers duties. But Prince Joachim and Princess Benedikte (and now Crown Princess Mary) are able to take on the Queen's obligations. Crown Princess Mary you are now one step closer to learn what it takes to become Queen of Denmark. She deserves to be congratulated, right? So congratulations from all of us to the Crown Princess with her new title.

Becoming regent she had chosen to match the table cloth just like her mother-in-law. Apparently it is time for us to wear bright red clothes. Mary's dress is a long-sleeved midi dress from Dolce & Gabbana, here. She also wore stunning diamond earrings.

Opening of the Parliament 2019

01 October

As an annual tradition, the royal family were gathered at Christiansborg Castle to attend the opening of the Danish Parliament. Princess Benedikte arrived first followed by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary. Last, Queen Margrethe arrived and were welcomed with smiles, handshakes and flowers (of course). Usually, Prince Joachim and his wife Princess Marie also participate but as you know they have moved to France and were not able to be part of the opening.

The first Tuesday of October the Parliament officially comes back from vacation. It is marked with the gathering of the Parliament and Government present. And of course with the Royal family attending. This year was a bit special because Denmarks newly selected Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen held her very first speech in Folketinget.

Both Princess Benedikte, the Crown Prince Couple and Queen Margrethe watched the opening from the balcony. It is located right of the rostrum.

These annual events are personal favorites of mine. I love comparing outfit; one from each year. That is why I, primarily, look forward to the opening - to see and compare Mary's outfit with previous years. I am rarely disappointed with how she looks. Nor was I this year. Mary was beautifully dressed in one of her reused coats and matching accessories. The stunning dusty pink coat is a design by Claes Iversen. She first wore it in 2018 on an official visit to Latvia, here. Back then you were all crazy in love with the coat. I still am.

As in 2018 she accessorized the coat with a splendid matching creation from Susanne Juul. Love how the two pieces match in both color and style. Really vintage chic. Mary also dazzled with her other accessories. Especially the burgundy Sergio Rossi box clutch and those incredible suedes pointed pumps from Gianvito Rossi. One day I have to own my own pair of Rossi pumps. They have what I would call "the perfect shape". Everything about Rossi's shoes are cared for. So one day...

The diamond ring and beautiful bracelet are both created by Dulong Fine Jewelry. Also her makeup looked absolutely perfect, such as her hairstyle. I adore when she have these updos. Makes me wanna experiment. These chignon's or twisted knots comes in many different forms. This is a more simple one. Great for everyday as well as evenings. Do you have a favorite updo?
