"Danner - A Countess of the People"

She is one busy woman, who arrived home from a long vacation only a couple of weeks ago. On Wednesday Crown Princess Mary arrived to the Danner House in Copenhagen to watch 'DANNER - A Countess of the People'. A play that shows life as a woman during the 19th century. The play is based on the life of Countess Danner, who was married to King Frederik 7.

Countess Danner was born Louise Christine Rasmussen in 1815. She later married Frederik 7 as his "second wife" which means that if the couple had any children they would not inherit the throne. But that is a completely other story. In 1873, Countess Danner decided to set up a foundation and built a house for vulnerable women. In the end there were no more money left and the house where sold. The new owner wanted to demolish the building, but it never happened. In 1979, women took over the house and bought it back as a women's house. Danner House has served as a women's and crisis center and today Danner is a private organization that works nationally and internationally to stop violence against women and children in close relationships, here.

Crown Princess Mary attended the event as chairwomen and founder of the Mary Foundation, who shared the post below on Facebook. She was in a splendid mood despite tropic weather. From first raw the Crown Princess watched the play that portray Countess Danner and her life as Countess of the people.

The weather was unbelievably warm that day, when Mary attended the play in Danner House. Despite that she had chosen a black dress featuring length and 3/4 sleeves. Hopefully it is not as warm as it look. I am a fan of black, but during summer time black is banned from any outfit. How do you feel about black?

Well the dress is a reuse. It goes back to 2017 when she first wore it at Copenhagen TV-Festival 2017, here. Maybe you remember the outfit because it looks almost exactly like her outfit worn on August 28th. Mary embraced the style of the dress with an unidentified turquoise necklace and matching ring. Even the clutch and heeled sandals matched with perfection. I am still not sure where both necklace, ring and clutch are from so if you happen to know more than me let me hear from you.

Mary also styled her look with Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings and a golden bracelet. I also see one bracelet from Cartier. The others I do not recognize at the moment. What made me most excited is her shoes - Alexandre Birman heeled sandals. I adore the design. She first wore them in 2013 at Copenhagen International Fashion Fair, here. Since then I had a dream that one day they would be part of my personal shoe collection. Anything from Mary's closet you wish were yours? (I have quit a list myself).

"Behind the Community Survey" and "The World Hour"

Crown Princess Mary started her day by participating the conference "Behind the Community Survey" in Copenhagen. She arrived in a wonderful mood and was welcomed with as much smile and kindness as she brought with her. CEO of the Mary Foundation, Helle Østergaard was one of the people welcoming the Crown Princess.

'Behind the Community Survey' is a survey that goes behind the report "Community Survey" from 2017. This year the survey was developed and carried out by TrygFonden, the Mary Foundation and VIVE with 78 participants. The conference aimed to focused on social exclusion in relation to the survey and its findings.

As Crown Princess and front woman for the Mary Foundation, the Crown Princess entered the stage and gave a speech - a speech that (apparently) caught everybody's attention. Both press and other participants were astonished by her words. The Mary Foundation shared her speech for your to read it, here. They also shared pictures from the event as embedded below.

A couple of hours later Crown Princess Mary attended another event at the City Hall in Copenhagen. Here she attended the launch of the annual event 'The World Hour'. It works with getting children and young people to learn about UN's world goals. More specifically, about sustainable development.

Along with two school classes from Randersgades School the Crown Princess watched a number of speeches etc. on how to spread the word about the 17 world goals in both primary and secondary schools all over Denmark. Both the Crown Princess and all the attending children really seemed to enjoy themselves during the event at Copenhagen City Hall. The day ended with singing and pancakes.

During the day, Mary was beautifully dressed in one of her reused Hennes & Mauritz dresses. When she first wore it at the opening of Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2019, here, I was not really into the dress. The color is difficult to wear and it did not really look at good on her. I do not what what you had thought when she first wore the dress, but I was not a huge fan. Somehow Mary managed to change my mind when wearing the Hennes & Mauritz dress a second time. It looks all different without the (heavy looking) black blazer.

She embraced the style with pointed python pumps from Gianvito Rossi. A pair of shoes she has worn on several different occasions. My personal favorite outfit matched with these python pumps, is when she was interviewed for Eurowoman in 2016, here. That was one **** of a look.

As other accessories Mary wore a couple of bracelets from both Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry. Among others she showed up wearing a brand new golden bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry and from that same designer, an old diamond ring. The other ring is from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen's Love Bands Collection, but I can not tell for sure which one she wore. Its stones confuses me. I was able to get confirmed that her rather new earrings are from Danish Sophie Bille Brahe. The necklace is from Nadia Shelbaya. The bag is from Prada and goes way back as part of her wardrobe.

Meeting with Rasmus Prehn

On Thursday, Crown Princess Mary payed a visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Here she met with the Minister of Development, Rasmus Prehn. He has previously been spokesperson of science and research (in 2006) and later on spokesperson for transportation (in 2011).

The Royal House informs that the Minister of Development use the opportunity to tell her royal highness about what is priorities in the field of development. There was also time to discuss a future collaboration between the two of them.

Meeting with the Minister of Development, Mary was dressed in one of her old blouses from JOSEPH. The blouse was last worn back in 2015, when she attended the opening of 'Danish Fashion Now' at Brandts in Odense, here. Back then she embraced the style by wearing it with a matching navy blue skirt. Guess she did the same this time. The beautiful earrings are from Sophie Bille Brahe. Seems like they are a personal favorite of hers right now.

European Championships in dressage

Crown Princess Mary was on a private mission when she arrived to Rotterdam in the Netherlands (probably) earlier this week. She had traveled to the Netherlands to support the Danish teams participating the European Championships in dressage - also know as the Longines FEI European Championships. 

When staying in Rotterdam she met with, among others, Helle Krasnik Trolle who shared a photo of the Crown Princess in a barn with rider Cathrine Dufour and one of the winning horses. Because the Danish team actually did qualify to compete next year in the Olympics in Tokyo. 

She was also spotted later on closely following the Danish teams participating the championship. Also Princess Nathalie attended the exiting days in the Netherlands. She herself has been one of those top riders. Now she work as coach for the dressage team.

When she was first spotted in Rotterdam with rider Cathrine Dufour and her horse, the Crown Princess was dressed in simple black fitted jeans, a white shirt, a bluish blazer with a rather interesting pocket from SANDRO and what looks like light brown suede shoes. Heaven identified her new blazer. With glasses keeping her hair from falling gown into her eyes Mary looked all comfortable and chic. Am I the only one who noticed how long her hair has grown? Wish my hair reached that length, but not quite yet.

The following day Mary looked super hot in a casual button-down shirt, a pullover and a reused black skirt from Apiece Apart. I absolutely love this combo. Instead of the "traditional" black fitted trousers most of us would wear with that top Mary dazzled in a midi skirt. Clever. She topped off the outfit with Ray Ban sunglasses, a Tod's leather handbag and brand new Nike sneakers. Nor shades or tote are new, but the sneakers are. Heaven managed to identify the model, here. I am going to try this outfit myself - that is for sure.
