The Children's Relay 2017

Saturday, June 10th

Crown Princess Mary attended the annual Children's Relay 2017 in Fælledparken, Copenhagen, organized by the Mary Foundation.

Since 2008 the Children's Relay has been taking place, alternately in Aarhus and Copenhagen. The relay is organized Red Barnet and the Mary Foundation as part of the Free of Bullying project, working to prevent and combat bullying among children. The Children's Relay aim to focus on attention to bullying and well-being. The Crown Princess has been a regular visitor every year in which she has awarded medals to a lot of participating children. This year over 1800 children attended the race. It is simply a wonderful sight to see Mary around the children. She seems to have so much fun and really enjoy herself. I've always had the feeling that she could blend in as any other parent any time. A few years ago that actually happened -well, almost. Her oldest son Prince Christian participated the relay and it was a very proud mother who handed over a golden medal to her son. This year was just as perfect!

As relaxed as the atmosphere, Mary was dressed casual in a pair of brand new trousers, sneakers and a blue button-down shirt. I am very surprised to see her outfit, because it's kinda atypically for her to wear anything near this. But I actually like it, especially all the little details. Just look at her new pink (!) sneakers from Bottega Veneta (identified by Kate) and the details on the new trousers. Since the first pictures of her at the relay, I have ben trying to ID her new beige trousers. Now I learned, at Royals & Fashion, that they are found at Ralph Lauren (Polo collection)! At the arrival she was wearing a new beige sweater, which I unfortunately haven't found either. It got these incredible open shoulders! Underneath she wore a blue button-down skirt which I think we may have seen before, here. If it is the same then the designer has been ID'd as Fonnesbech. Let me know if you think I'm on to something here. She embrace a chic outfit by wearing Prada sunglasses, a Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelet, a Cartier bracelet and what I believe is a new golden diamond ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. In some way, I think this outfit is very inspiring for many occasions.
