The Australian War Memorial

17th September

As guest of honor, the Crown Princess attended the inauguration of "The Australian War Memorial" in the Churchillpark in Copenhagen. Crown Princess Mary was warmly welcomed by Australia's ambassador, Mary Ellen Miller whom which she also revealed the new war memorial and the Danish Minster of Defense, Trine Bramsen.

The atmosphere was very unique. Truly a day reserved for honoring Australian military and service staff, who took part in the liberation of Denmark during World War II as well as the fallen Australian soldiers from World War I. Standing side by side with the Australian ambassador, the Crown Princess showed her honor and support to those lost in war and for their families.

I guess it was with a special proud feeling in her heart that she attended the inauguration. After all, she is Australian born.

After the inauguration, she payed a visit to the Information Center for the Monument to Denmark's international efforts after 1948. The center is located at Kastellet in Copenhagen and offer visitors an insight into the missions that Danish envoys have participated in since 1948, here.

A couple of days ago we learned that the Crown Princess is now part of the United Nations Population Fund's newly established ICPD25 High Level Commission. This commission is all about fulfilling what was discussed at Nairobi Summit in 2019. These goals focuses on making any pregnancy desired, making every birth safe and to give all young people the opportunity to reach their full potential. On Thursday, she participated the very first (virtual) meeting with the commission (second embedded picture). She commented in her own words that she very much look forward to get started.

Mary was beautifully dressed, when she attended the inauguration and later on participated in a meeting with the newly established ICPD25 High Level Commission. Somehow, I think she looks different this time even though all of her clothes have been worn before. She looks older and somehow more mature (if that is even possible).

I really like how she style her floral printed Ralph Lauren dress with that black Max Mara jacket. Did you know that Mary first wore this jacket back in 2004 at Queen Margrethe's 64th birthday, here? That is how old it is. At the inauguration she paired her old goodie with a stunning Ralph Lauren dress. Think it is the first time she wears the dress with a jacket and this time a year. Lovely dress. The thin belt is also a reuse from Céline.

She embraced the outfit with golden jewellery from Dulong Fine Jewelry and Cartier. The wonderful golden ring featuring diamonds, is an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen design. For sure you also noticed the white pearl earrings and the little brooch. The story goes that the brooch is made by Dulong Fine Jewelry, but I have never been able to confirm it and the style is like their usual design.

As other accessories she wore nude pointed pumps from Gianvito Rossi and a matching (unidentified) clutch. With gloves and a hairstyle do die for, Mary impressed me greatly.

RC70: WHO Regional Committee for Europe

14th September

Crown Princess Mary spend her weekend well before attending the WHO Regional Committee for Europe (RC70), because the Crown Princess took part in her very first dressage in Frederiksværk, here. She was accompanied by her oldest daughter, Princess Isabella. The Crown Princess paired with both Edelman and Wasabi for the event - two beautiful horses. She took the stand as number four. Pretty good, don't you think? Maybe this is not the last time we see her at such competitions?

Today, she arrived to the UN City in Copenhagen to attend RC70 - the WHO Regional Committee for Europe. Crown Princess Mary takes title as patron for the event. She has taken part in the conference for quite a few years now and often gives a speech. This year was a little different. Because of the current situation with COVID-19, the conference was all virtual.

The conference now takes place for the 70th time. It gathers representatives from all 53 countries, who are members of WHO Regional Committee of Europe to discuss healthcare related questions. Crown Princess Mary was part of all that on todays meeting.

She was accompanied by several other members in the UN City in Copenhagen. Among others, Dr Hans Kluge, Minster of Healthcare and Elderly, Magnus Heunicke and CEO of the National Board of Health, Søren Brostrøm.

The Crown Princess also gave a speech at the opening ceremony. Her 10th speech. She is quoted to have said that: "There can be no healthcare without the health workforce", here. True. The pandemic was her main focus and how the european healthcare workers have made a remarkable effort to handle the situation with great care and professionalism. But hear her speech and be inspired by her words.

Personally, I think finding the right outfit can be very difficult. Should I wear a skirt, trousers, a dress, with or without a blazer, you name it. I cannot be the only one asking myself these questions daily. Somehow, Mary always manage to find exactly that outfit that makes the day. I know she has a personal stylish assisting her, but over the years she has become more and more secure and independent in her style.

For the conference she had this year chosen a brand new dark orange/brown blouse and matched it with simple black trousers. Wish I could find trousers that suits me as well as those trousers suits Mary. Maybe my legs are just too short. I have still not been able to identify her new blouse, but take a look at it. Isn't it gorgeous? Love all the details. The puffed sleeves, the close neckline and the perfect sown front. Any ideas about where it is from? I need your help with this one.

She embraced the look by wearing golden earrings (and matching pendants) from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. A current favorite of hers. So is the Cartier bangle and the other golden bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry. I am sure you always have your own favorites.

A fullbody picture showed us that Mary also wore old goodies from Valentino. Black pointed pumps embellished with rivets. An iconic model. The picture also enlightened us whether or not she was wearing a belt. She was. A beautiful Etro belt.

"A decade of action - 10 years left"

9th September

Time for Crown Princess Mary to attend yet another international conference. It took place at Christiansborg in Copenhagen. She arrived to take part in "A Decade of Action - 10 Years Left" and give a speech on that behalf.

The conference was organized by the 2030-Network, which is the Danish Governments cross-policy networks for the UN World Goals, the Finance Committee's Parliamentary Working Group on the World Goals and the 2030 Panel. It was all about what actions to take to meet the UN's 17 World Goals by 2030. With that in mind, Crown Princess Mary gave a speech on how to achieve such goals with only ten years left.

She has been committed to the project right since the begning and now she showed her support once again. Among other things, the UN's 17 world goals work to ensure gender equality (something the Crown Princess also works for) and how to face climate changes. You can read more about all 17 goals right here.

No doubt that the Crown Princess Mary in a great mood, when she attended the conference. This is exactly what she made her titles purpose. In an Instagram post she enhanced a few highlights from the day at Christiansborg. Among other things, she wrote that it takes both innovative solutions, creativity and partnerships like we have never seen before, to achieve all 17 goals right in time. She was not the only one, who shared her statement at the conference. Crown Princess Mary also highlighted a few other keynote speakers, which caught her attention. Among others, Chairman of the 2030 Panel, Steen Hildebrandt and World Goals Ambassador, Signe Wulff Kelstrup impressed the Crown Princess. ⁣

What is the right outfit to wear at a conference? Exactly what Mary wore. I have never attended a conference like this, but I would be inspired to copy her outfit any time if so. Even though it was quite simple and all reuse, I think she captured the essence of why they were all gathered with just one outfit.

She reused one of jer beloved jackets from Scanlan Theodore. I have seen it mentioned both as a jacket and a blouse. I get it why people are confused. The wrapped piece is more a blouse on Mary because she always wears it as a blouse, but the official name of this piece is "Crepe Knit Wrap Jacket". Scanlan Theodore's own name. Her conference-look makes it the fourth time we see it. The jacket goes back to 2016, when she attended the Women Deliver Conference in Copenhagen, here. She matched it was a simple pair of black (our navy blue) trousers. A really lovely combo.

For her outfit she had chosen golden Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen earrings. They come in two pieces her earrings - a stud and a pendant. Both decorated with small white diamonds. Stunning, right? The rather simple-looking necklace is a creation by Dulong Fine Jewelry. They make so many unique and custom-made jewellery, but this one is actually available online for you who cannot live without. Of course, you also noticed that rather large ring on her finger. So far, I still do not know where it is from. The ring features a large moonstone and quite a lot of diamonds.

To match the rest of her outfit, Mary was wearing her old navy blue Prada bag and same-colored pumps. I have a hard time identifying her shoes. They look similar to her suede ones from Pura Lopez, but I have not enough evidence to prove it. The shape also reminds me of Gianvito Rossi. What is your opinion?

The backpack project

8th September

Since 2008, the Mary Foundation have handed over more than 2,000 backpack to children, who live at shelters with their mother. The foundation is collaborative joined by LOKK (The National Organization of Women's Shelters) and Ole Kirk's Foundation for this project. LEGO also takes part in the project. Former LEGO employees pack the bags once a year - often with a helloing hand from the Crown Princess herself. The project has been introduced in both Denmark, Greenland and the Faro Islands - an has become a huge success. Each bag comes with gender- and age specific things. All the basic things these children often don't have, when they come to the shelters. Like school things, toothbrushes, a teddybear for the younger ones and a diary for the older ones.

A recent study, made for the Mary Foundation by Epinion, shows that 2/3 of all children arrive to shelters without any of their belongings. In a new video, the Crown Princess spoke about the ComfortPacks project on behalf of the Mary Foundation, Ole Kirk's Foundation and LOKK. Watch the video below or here shared with us by the Mary Foundation.

A couple of days before this new video was published, on September 6th, Crown Princess Mary attended Equitour Denmark in Aalborg, here.

For this new video Mary had chosen a simple yet classy outfit. She proves, once again, what amazing outfit to make with a white button-down shirt, a little color and some jewellery. Mary has many (many) white shirts similar to this one. Almost every designer have one or more in each their collection, which makes it so hard to find the exact one she is wearing. The same goes with this. If you have any idea where to find it, then let me know. She matched the classy white skirt with a brand new orange skirt. To me it looks a bit casual and maybe a maxi length. I will let you know, when I know more about it.

She embraced the outfit with a ponytail and natural makeup. I was surprise to see that she wore no necklace or earrings. It does not happen very often. But I do see some bracelets. Three of them are made by Dulong Fine Jewelry and the last golden one, is from Cartier. Her wonderful love bracelet.

Now, let the purpose speak for itself.
