Day 2: Official Visit to Estonia

Along with the Mary Foundation and Save the Children (Red Barnet) is Crown Princess Mary on a two days visit to Estonia because of their commitment to the foundations Free of Bullying project as the first country abroad Denmark. 

Program: Estonia
  • 10:00 am. Crown Princess Mary attended a Free of Bullying conference.
  • 11:00 am. Crown Princess Mary attended the seminar about sustainable fashion.
  • 12:00 pm. She had lunch at the Danish Embassy in Estonia. 
  • 2:00 pm. Crown Princess Mary visited the school Kadrioru Saksa Gümnaasium.
  • 3:00 pm. Crown Princess Mary visited the Estonian Children's Literature Centre.
  • 4:00 pm. Crown Princess Mary attended a concert followed by a reception at the Blackheads House. 

It was such a great first day in Estonia yesterday. Mary seemed so happy and relaxed. The exact same Mary we was on her second, and last, day during her visit which was all about the Mary Foundation's Free of Bullying program which is now in Estonia as well. Half of her day was used to attending a Free of Bullying conference, visiting a school and a literature centre.

Early in the morning she arrived to attend a conference about one of her own programs that has just moved to Estonia. I really believe it was a proud woman who attended this conference because she has managed to create a foundation with solid values which can also be used abroad to make life better for more children, not only in Denmark. The Free of Bullying program is created to prevent bullying in age of kindergarten and pre school. An hour later she attended a seminar about sustainable fashion followed by a lunch at the Danish embassy in Estonia.

The next three hours she visited both the school Kadrioru Saksa Gümnaasium, the Estonian Children's Literature Centre and a concert such as an reception at the Blackheads House. It was such a pleasure receiving photos from Agnés Colbert who went to Estonia to follow Mary on her two days visit. Such lovely pictures of Mary along with the children at  Kadrioru Saksa Gümnaasium school and Children's Literature Centre. She showed a sincere interest in talking to the children. They showed her their drawing and what they had been working on till the day she came to visit.

At 4 PM she attended a concert followed by a reception which was the last events before returning home to Denmark after two great days in Estonia, what I know of was her first time there. I hope we get many more of these visits in the future.

I am not sure what you think about this new burgundy suit, but I love it! This dark red colour is one of my personal favourites and it suits Mary perfectly with her dark brown hair. I have been looking everywhere to identify the designers and finally I was able to find what I was looking for. The Danish designer Elise Gug (AW13) created her new jacket and matching pencil skirt. Just lovely! A great detail is the snakeskin belt from Balenciaga. She wore on the outside of the jacket to create the illusion of her natural waistline. Something we see often with these think belts. It's typical for Mary choosing accessories with a twist, like this one.

To match the belt she was wearing her mid snake skin pumps from Christian Louboutin. Great to see those pumps again. The link you find down below, shows almost the same model as hers. The only difference is the hight of the heel and the fact that Mary's is not made of python. In the most amazing dark black colour, she wore pearl earrings and a bracelet from Marianne Dulong. Stunning pieces, beautifully made. As beautifully does Mary wear them with pride and dignity.

The other golden bracelet you see on her wrist is her Shamballa Jewels bracelet featuring a pink diamond ball used from an old bracelet of hers. Not sure what it costs but I'm pretty sure it's way too expensive to most of us. As the suit, was the dazzling Adax bag she carried in burgundy. It has been seen a couple of times before. Her grey cashmere scarf has been identified as Carlend Copenhagen who also makes these incredible scarfs. One last thing I think you should notice, is her smashing eye makeup. Really beautiful! A wonderful way to end a visit in Estonia. One more time I want to thanks Agnés for getting the chance to share her lovely photos!

Day 1: CSW58 - Commission on the Status of Women

March, 10th

As member of the High Level Task Force for ICDP, Crown Princess Mary attends the CSW58: -Commission on the Status of Women meeting which takes place in the United Nations Headquarters in New York from March 10-11th. 

CSW58 - Commission on the Status of Women
The Commission on the Status of Women was established in 1946 by Council resolution. CSW or Commission on the Status of Women is among other exclusively dedicated to promote gender equality, documenting the reality of women's lives throughout the world and  the empowerment of women. This year is the fifty-eighth session held in New York. Read more here.

Program: New York
  • 8:20 am. Crown Princess Mary gave a speech at the "Investing in Girls and Women: Everybody Wins".
  • 10:00 am. Crown Princess Mary particiapted in the official opening of CSW58.
  • 1:15 pm. Crown Princess Mary attended the meeting on gender discrimination "Everyday sexism and hate speech - what are the consequences for women’s empowerment and equal opportunities?".
  • 3:15 pm. Crown Princess Mary met with Dr. Babatunde Osotimehin and Anne-Birgitte Albrechtsen from UNFPA.
  • 7:00 pm. Crown Princess Mary attended a dinner hosted by UN’s Ambassador Ib Petersen.

Crown Princess Mary attending the CSW58 - Commission on the Status of Women

The day before it was planned Mary should attend CSW58 in United Nations Headquarters, she arrived one day earlier and met with Ms. Chelsea Clinton, Vice Chair of the Clinton Foundation over a dinner hosted by the Consul General of Denmark in New York. The reason why Mary take part in the 58th section of the Commission on the Status of Women is because of her membership of the High Level Task Force for ICDP. Also representatives of Member States, UN entities and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organizations, known as NGO's, from all parts of the world did also attended the session along with the Danish Crown Princesses. The Commission on the Status of Women, which was established back in 1946, is the place to talk about access and participation of women and girls right to education, training, science etc. such as promote gender equality. It takes many dedicated people year to change the attitudes about women and girls and one of these is Mary. It is not the first time I mention this, but I'm proud of Mary as representative for Denmark in such situations. As royal Mary can't talk politics but still she manage to engage in political issues without ever crossing the line. She is well-spoken and has a powerful voice on the international stage at all kinds of conferences dealing with humanitarian work such as improving the conditions worldwide for women and girls. She is also a highly respected woman and is a perfect advocacy to create positive attention around her where every she goes. As a woman I hope that just some of what she works for will come true. Women deserve the same right and opportunity as men no matter where in the world they live or under which conditions. Mary was one of the keynote speakers but did also closely follow the debate surrounded by men, all trying to help women to get a better life away from oppression and with more freedom to do what they want.

It was a professional and sophisticated Crown Princess who arrived to attend the first day of the 58th session of the Commission on the Status of Women in New York. Without attraction too much attention, she was dressed in a all black suit and white silky blouse from Elise Gug. The suit is a typical workwear outfit that gives any woman a sense of power. Just what Mary need when she represent Denmark and women in general at the conference. We are in March and despite New York does not have the same miserable weather as in Denmark, a black scarf was needed softening her look a bit because of the masculine black suit. I didn't really find any pictures that shows which pair of shoes she was wearing by my guess would differently be a pair of black pumps. They would do great to the pants suit. Mary is indeed a master of style and I love she chose a burgundy ADAX handbag instead of a black one. Give some life to a all black outfit. With the burgundy back she looks chick! Despite from wearing her white pearl earrings from Marianne Dulong and wedding/engagement rings, I do not believe she more any other jewelleries. I could be wrong but no that many pictures have been published, most of them are found on social medias and are all blurred, and it's hard to see if there are any other accessories I recognize. A soft blowout and natural makeup completed her look at the first day in New York with CSW.

Crown Princess Mary attended the dinner hosted by UN’s Ambassador Ib Petersen

After a long day with meeting after meeting, she also met with met with Dr. Babatunde Osotimehin and Anne-Birgitte Albrechtsen from UNFPA, it was time for at dinner. This dinner was hosted by Ib Petersen, UN's Ambassador which whom she has met earlier. Surrounded by the dark night, Mary arrived to attend the evenings dinner with other special invited guests. It was a private dinner and no camera, as I know of, was let in. Therefor we only have a short footage from when she arrived and was welcomed outside the building. Because of the darkness it is also quite difficult to spot what she was wearing. But you know me, I do not give up that easy. I'm as interested as you are and exited to see what she will be wearing. Something it's almost impossible to get anything out of two bad quality photos and a 10 seconds footage filmed in darkness but my eyes spotted quite a few things that made we really excited! Now I have watched her arrival a couple of times and at first I did not see it but suddenly I realized what skirt she was actually wearing. I skirt I believe we haven't seen her 38th birthday. A black and silver lave wonder of a skirt from Heartmade Julie Fagerholt. It is a pencil shaped skirt featuring a significant lace. My guess would be she wore it with some kind of black top because of the black Prada coat and sheer tights. Once again we saw her with the burgundy ADAX handbag and what's better than matching ones bag with ones shoes?! No, right. Nothing. Therefor Mary matched her burgundy handbag with same coloured Prada pumps. A really lovely outfit!

Meeting at Christiansborg

Crown Princess Mary attended a meeting at Christiansborg Castle with Minister for Development Cooperation, Christian Friis Bach, The Parliamentary Intergroup Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.


Graceful as always, Mary arrived to Christiansborg Castle in the middle of Copenhagen. Christiansborg is where the Danish parliament works. Normally we only see the members of the royal family at Christiansborg when they attend the annual opening of the parliament in October, where they are all dressed beautifully in feminine coats and large hats. This time it was a bit more serious, bring up and talk about important subjects. To the meeting  Minister for Development Cooperation, Christian Friis Bach, and the Parliamentary Intergroup Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. The meeting was held behind closed doors and we only saw Mary at the arrival and a single pictures where all participants were gathered, including her looking absolutely amazing!

When I write a post about a new event and of course outfit, it's great to identify all of the items but it also makes it hard to keep all this organized in my personal folders and here in the posts. Don't worry I'll handle it as always. The reason why I mention it, is because at the meeting she was wearing quite many detailed items I can identify. Actually all of it. That's pretty amazing and that is only possible with the help from you, so thanks! The look got some great colours to the rather cold October weather we have in Denmark at the moment. Which also surprises me she's wearing bare legs and no coat, she is a tough lady. The Hugo Boss peplum is a classic design fits almost any other item she owns, Mary matched it with a pencil skirt from the same designer. In black leather she wore her SAND Copenhagen pumps which was a great balance in colours to the rest of the outfit. But a little colour are needed, the beautiful bordeaux became this one other colour. With the help from P.G., Kate and theRoyaloutfitofCrownPrincessMary I can tell you that the new bordeaux bag is from Adax. Thanks you very much girls! Am I the only one who just love it?! I have a thing with this wine red/bordeaux. With new earrings from Marianne Dulong, a golden watch from Cartier and a necklace from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen Mary showed a classic and edgy business-look!

Day 1: Copenhagen International Fashion Fair 2013

Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) 2013 which took place in Bella Centre. She was shown brands as Ganni and Savannah Wild.

What is Copenhagen International Fashion Fair - CIFF?
The Copenhagen International Fashion Fair or CIFF has since 1993 been settled in the Bella Center in Copenhagen. A cooperation between Danish Textile & Clothes and Bella Center. The fashion fair is held twice a year and is now one of the largest in Europe with thousand of men's, women's and children's collections of clothes, shoes etc. Read more about CIFF here.

Now the time is up for the yearly Copenhagen International Fashion Fair. Events like this are some Mary have been visiting for many years and every single time she get all the attention. Today she was overwhelming beautiful with her porcelain skin and dark brown hair. Because of the national and international attention she really have to look her best and she differently did! She... was glowing like a star, a movie star. She was so happy and smiling all the time that makes me happy. Amazing. 


When I first saw the new dress I was a bit surprised because of the mix of lace, dots, the satin fabric the dress is made of. But after a few minutes I had been looking at it multiple times it's actually really pretty. Usually I'm not a fan of mixing so many prints together but the designer, Signe Bøgelund-Jensen (Spring/Summer 2013), made it work! A very unique dress. I want to thank all of you who gave me information on the dress, this time you found it before me. In the same dark blue colours, she added topaz earrings from Danish Jewlscph. Beautiful to her dark brown hair. Her eye make was in the same dark brown colour which gave her eyes a intense look.  Before I'll talk about all the stunning accessories we'll take a look at the heeled sandals. I have a penchant for shoes, all kind of shoes especially the heeled once. I have the conviction that one can see a lot about a person by looking at their shoes. Maybe I'm just a bit crazy. It is a long time since we first saw these Ralph Lauren sandals, but I fell in love with them instantly. It took me and many others quite some time to identify them. Now we know!
Mary is a wonderful woman when it comes to the composition of the clothing and accessories. I think sometimes it may be difficult to get everything to fit. What I admire Mary for is that she chooses accessories at the same time fit the rest of the outfit but also stand out. That was the case today. The dark blue Signe Bøgelund-Jensen dress and pink Adax by Stine Goya coloured clutch are complimenting colours which means the two colours make each other light up. Great match! On her left ring find she wore her engagement- and wedding ring, on her other ring finger it was a golden Marianne Dulong ring. I'm pretty sure Mary has designed the ring herself when it comes to the different jewellery stones. Remarkable piece of work. Marianne Dulong is also the designer of the two upper gold bracelets and the pink ball bracelet is from Shamballa Jewels.

Day: 2 CHIO in Germany the Opening Ceremony

Crown Princess Mary and Princess Benedikte participated in the opening ceremony of CHIO Aachen in Germany. They arrived to Germany yesterday.

Before attending the opening later today Mary and Princess Benedikte spend the time walking around in Aachen to see some of the city, meet the germans and have a great time together which I think they had. The two royal women were dressed perfectly in matching blue colours; Princess Benedikte in a light blue suit featuring three large buttons and a asymmetric close sure. Of her age she's just beautiful! 

Stunning as always Mary wore her dark blue fitted SAND dress with a matching navy blue cardigan to keep her arms warm. She has been wearing the dress at several occasions with different accessories every time. I couldn't stop myself from staring at the large brooch on the right side of her chest because the exact same brooch she wore at the inauguration of the House of Industry on June 10th this months. The fact that Mary is wearing it once again makes me sure that it's her own, not one she borrowed by her mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe which was my first thought. I still would like to know just something about it but I doubt we will. Maybe some day. Jewellery are from Marianne Dulong. 

What I'm going to say now is the exact reason why I think so many women all over the world love her style so much. Her choice of accessories. I do not know any woman who would have matched a bright pink clutch AND shoes to a navy blue dress - but it is great!! Now I just need to try it myself. Thanks to Charlotte I know that her new amazing 'reversible' clutch is from a limited edition from Adax designed by Stine Goya. Isn't it lovely?! The pointed pumps I'm not still quite sure about, my guess and your's are DIOR or Prada - to me they look like Prada. They have similar models. I really find this a wonderful outfit because she chose elements from several good seasons. To complete this masterwork her hair was done in a simple and elegant half-updo.

Crown Princess Mary & Princess Benedikte at the opening ceremony of CHIO Aachen

MAGNIFICENT! STUNNING! WONDERFUL! AMAZING! BEAUTIFUL! ELEGANT!

I think you had the felling that I really like her look from earlier today, you know the SAND dress with the pink Stine Goya by Adax clutch. This is much much better. Her elegance is overwhelming to me! I love that their clothes are matching just like earlier, in shades of blue. The colour to wear this summer. I'm not sure where to start with all this... As real royals Mary and Benedikte arrived by a shiny black carriage. Waving like royals they were welcomed by all the attending people who had already found their seats and were ready to watch the exclusive horse show. Mary's smile melted my heart.

On her head she wore a baby blue hairpiece the exact same she wore at the coronation of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands on April 30 2013. I love it as much as the first time, now I also have a suggestion on who might de the designer, Jane Taylor. There are some similarities with the two. Take a look at the link below and let me know your thoughts! Ole Yde, a Danish designer, created the dazzling dress, worn at several occasions. The white coat is the same as yesterday, Prada. It gave the outfit a classic and elegant look.

Lately Mary has been wearing her Royal Bracelet made by Shamballa Jewels. In a lovely blue colour, matching the hairpiece, Mary wore her Aquamarine and diamonds earrings. My guess is that they are inherited from either Queen Margrethe or Queen Ingrid. The past years they have change a bit and I still like them very much. The earrings give the true sense of royalty! Her brown hair looked stunning to the Carlend Copenhagen clutch and then we have her Décolleté pumps from Christian Louboutin featuring the characteristic red sole. Christian Louboutin shoes are worn by women all over the world, from Hollywood ladies to fasionistas in Europe and of course our Crown Princess Mary!
