Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a concert followed by a dinner with representatives from the health sector which was held at Fredensborg Palace hosted by Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik.

The Danish royal family were gathered for a wonderful evening when they attended both a concert and a dinner at Fredensborg Castle. The concert was held in recognition of the great efforts the healthcare in Denmark provide to the benefit of the Danish population's health and wellbeing. Suit-dressed men and evening-dressed women form the healthcare attended a evening with classical music performed by students from the Academy of Music (Syddansk Musikkonservatorium) and the acting school (Skuespillerskolen). The concert followed by a dinner were hosted by Queen Margrethe and her husband Prince Henrik. Along with the Crown Prince Couple and Prince Joachim they enjoyed a evening together with representatives from healthcare in Denmark. After the concert they aloe attended the dinner which also took place at Fredensborg Castle, in Copenhagen, in the magnificent Kuppesal with the stunning white and black patterned floor. The attended representatives were sitting at round tables on golden chairs. Eaten from royal porcelain and green crystal glass. What a night! As you might know, the royal family always arrives after rank - Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary and last Prince Joachim and Princess Marie who did not participate at last nights dinner. The lightning wasn't that good, I'm sure it gave the perfect atmosphere with the almost non-exciting light, so no all pictures from the evening are pretty good. Kongethuset.dk has published a little video clip from when they royal family enter Kuppelsalen to attend the dinner and as I just told you the light isn't that good but still I think it's worth watching it. Watch it down below. I think there is something special when they enter a dinner like this, it's kinda magical. Am I right? As a royalist I'm sure you know the feeling.

Because of the lack of light when Frederik arrived to Fredensborg with his stunning wife I think she was looking even more beautiful -Queen of the night! I was so happy to see 'that' midnight blue skirt again after all these years. Do you remember the skirt? Well, it was also a long time ago really. We are back in 2006 when the Bulgarian President H.E Georgi Parvanov and his wife Mrs. Zorka Parvanov. A time when Mary dressed completely different than what we see her wear now a days. As the first time, she chose to wear the skirt with black clothes with the skirt in the center. Our eyes lays on the skirt and its dazzling sequin details and tulle underneath, sparkling in the light of the photographers camera light. At the arrival she wore a Prada coat such as pumps from the same designer and was carrying a black cardigan I assume till later. The satin clutch featuring pearl fringes is seen a several occasions before. A item we have seen not that long ago, to be more exact her blouse. I recognized it from when they were on the state visit in Australia about a month ago on the second day. Perfectly to show how to wear the same basic blouse twice at two very different occasions. I have not been able to identify who the designer is. That little extra 'thing' Mary always manage to mix into her outfit has to be the purple jewellery; ring and earrings. I think these to pieces are inherited or something like that. I do not know the exact story. So what do you think, is this outfit a winner or what? I really think it is.

UNFPA: The State of World Population 2013 Report

November, 5th

Crown Princess Mary attended, as patron of the UNFPA - United Nations Population Fund, the launch of the Fund's State of World Population report and was presence at the opening of the photo exhibition Too Young to Wed at University of Copenhagen.

Whats is the UNFPA?
UNFPA stands for United Nations Population Fund and is the lead UN agency for a world where every pregnancy is wanted and every birth is safe for mother and child. They also work to fulfill every young person's potential. Impressively the death of women dying from complications of a pregnancy or childbirth has been halved since they started working in 1969. Read more about UNFPA here.

The Too Young to Wed photo exhibition has arrived to Denmark, travelled all the way to be exhibited at the University of Copenhagen. During the day Mary attended the launch of this years UN's State of World Population report, UNFPA's flagship publication. Which was hosted by the University of Copenhagen, UNFPA Nordic Office and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ralf Hemmingsen, the Rector of the University of Copenhagen, expressed in his opening address how global issues as development, health, social progress and child marriage have become a part of the research and educational agenda at the University. To mention; the photo exhibition has also been, in a abridged version, in Morocco to focus on child marriage is a main topic to discussion. This exhibition will begin in the beginning of November as well. If you wonder, as I did, what the Too Young to Wed photo exhibit is actually about, it shows poignant photos of the third world. Global issues affecting among others girls and women, child marriage and how to give young girls a better way to handle a early pregnancy. Pernille Fenger, Chief of UNFPA Nordic Office -one of this events hosts, highlighted that 5,000 under the age of 14 give birth every day in developing countries. It's choking. Because we live in a society where kids are not allowed to be a kids for very long, I think these children are entitled to have a safe and happy childhood, where they are allowed to play and develop. These girls don't even get the chance. Pernille Fenger also expressed her concern that around 40,000 girls at the age or younger than 17 are getting married every day. To hear this before you really take the time to watch the exhibition must get your mind going. I think it's remarkable who these girls even live like this. I don't think it is possible for us to tell how difficult it must be. If you just have to see all this for yourself, you find the exhibition till December 14th 2013. Afterwards it is relocated in the UN City.

Not overdressed wearing nothing new, Mary attended the exhibition such as the launch of the State of World Population 2013. In the beginning of this year, she visited the University of Southern Denmark in Odense as patron of the Australian and Danish twin registry. In addition her and Frederik visited the Australian register on their official visit about a week ago. Here they met several twins registered in the registry. Sure you remember the sweet pictures of the couple spending some time with the children. Not much have changed since then. I like that she wears her clothes over and over again even is she wears it in the exact same way as previously. Of course it confuses me when to find out when and where she wore it earlier. Mary chose calm colours consisting of black trousers and a short jacket I assume is from Prada. With her natural hair and makeup she did caught too much attention at the opening. Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen designed the beautiful earrings shaped as leaves featuring drop pendants. Such as the earrings we know all about the Bottega Veneta hobo bag. Right away I noticed her shoes featuring a buckle on the toe, I got help to ID. them by an wonderful woman who told me she was the lucky owner of these Max Mara shoes (approx. Fall/Winter 2012).

Interviews from The Crown Prince Couple’s Prizes 2013

As a tradition was shown, this time two, interviews with the royal couple that was shown during The Crown Prince Couple’s Prizes 2013 award show held in Australia for the first time abroad Denmark. It was a magnificent evening with dazzling dresses and happy faces. Now I have been able to find these two interviews and I just have to share them with you! They are in Danish, so to those of you who can't understand Danish, which I assume many of you don't, lean back and watch amazing memories with Frederik and Mary and all four royal children! In the first interview the couple are filmed in their home at Amalienborg in Copenhagen. In the middle of the interview all four children attends. In the second interview the couple is sailing around the harbor in Copenhagen talking about architecture among others. Oh... I just love these interviews. Happy watching!

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary during their last day in Australia

So this was the last day the couple was in Australia. Their last day was to me as amazing as all the other four. But we still have one day left to talk about and I think it has to be one of the best of course because of the award show in the evening. It was a special show and unique it took place abroad Denmark. Before we can talk about the award show I think we should take a look at how they send their last day. In the morning Frederik and Mary attended the presentation of the Export Association diploma and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik's Medal of Honour. It was the Crown Prince who handed over the medallion to General Manager at ECCO Shoes Pacific Pty, Morten Lauge. With the Crown Prince couple and the politician Marianne Jelved a picture was taken which you see above. Around 45 minutes after the presentation they were headed to attend  a business lunch hosted by Danish Industry (Dansk Industri) which took place in the Sydney Opera House. What a place to have lunch, right? I wouldn't mind trying that. Well, maybe one day.

You know I love to talk about Mary's outfits, she is always a source of inspiration to me which I think she is to you as well. It is not easy for me to describe why I like her style so much but I think it's because of her confidence, the sense of quality of her clothes and how she always 'plays' with her style. Sometimes it's classic and sometimes it's more minimalistic and edgy. No doubt that the day before yesterdays outfit was the perfect business-look. Simple and elegant in a brand new WILLOW dress identified by by Sarah. Thank you so much for your help with the dress! I just found out that Mary actually bought this dress at a shopping trip the same day in a WILLOW store in Sydney. And why wait? I love that she wears her newly purchased jacquard stretch dress. Styled with Marianne Dulong jewellery and Christian Louboutin pumps she could wear this any time, at any event. I wonder if the curry cardigan is the same as she wore last year at the gathering at Gråsten Castle? Worn with the colourful Free People maxi dress. And of course she wore her Carlend Copenhagen clutch matching the cardigan beautifully!

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary: The Crown Prince Couple’s Prizes 2013

Finally the time has arrived when Frederik and Mary attended The Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2013! Something I have been looking forward to since the last one, last year.  The Crown Princes Couple's Prizes was established in 2004 as a wedding gift to Frederik and Mary and was first presented in 2005. This was a gift from the Bikuben Foundation (Bikubenfonden). Until 2009 the award had another name: The Crown Prince Couple's Cultur Prize and then it was changed to the current name. At the same time, in 2009, the numbers of prizes was expanded from one to four, three different categories. The award show is always broadcasted live on the Australian TV station SBS 1 and the Danish DR1, which means both nationalities had the chance to watch the show -I did. But 2013 isn't just a normal year because this year it's the first time the show take place abroad Denmark. The award show is a window into a world of art, music and artistic work. Creative artists from a wide range of work. The purpose of the Royal Couple Pricing is to highlight and recognize the extraordinary
performance in the Danish culture and social work. During the evening over DKK 1,1 million were handed over to new talents on the stage in front of 1,000 evening-dressed guests. Four prizes were were presented by the royal couple on the stage. You see them all down below. I don't know if you watched the show last night but I was overwhelmed by the entertainment as well as the presentations, and the winners speeches. Such a wonderful show. One little funny thing to mention what happened during the evening: Mary was about the give her speech to one of the winners in English of course when she switched to Danish. Like everybody else Mary just laughed at switched to English again. This was a brilliant moment from the evening, watch it if you can find it.

I think I am in love with her look from the award show! I was so happy to see her in that stunning Ole Yde gown again. Makes me happy just to look at it. Frederik was looking very handsome in his classic black and white suit wearing a black bow tie. The perfect evening dress coat for a man and with Mary next to him, they balanced beautifully. Mary was so feminine in the layered dress featuring only one shoulder. I'm sure you remember this isn't the first time we have seen it because back in 2009, five years ago, when Frederik and Mary visited Vietnam accompanied by Queen Margrehte and Prince Henrik she wore her Ole Yde creation for the first time at a return dinner. At that time she wore it with a black sequin clutch, a side chignon done by the Queens hairdresser and white pearl earrings. The only thing similar was the clutch and the black Prada pumps. At this years award show Mary wore the gorgeous Ole Lynggaard earrings as well as other jewelry's from the same designer, here I need to mention that her new black bracelet was identified by What Crown Princess Mary Wore and Pernille. Thanks to both of you! Her hair was done beautifully in a low chignon with a twist on top. There are so many wonderful details to look at. She is like a real princess!

Well, this was the last event on the last day. Frederik and Mary have spend five days in Australia which we have followed closely. I really enjoyed the visit. They have experienced everything from gala events, business dinners, exhibitions and destroyed houses. Hope I was able to give you the best and most interesting news from the trip. Take care and have fun till next time!
