The Psychiatry Foundation’s Conference & Foundation meeting

Wednesday, September 10th

Crown Princess Mary attended, as patron, the Psychiatry Foundation’s Conference on psychologically vulnerable young people. The conference took place at Crowne Plaza, Copenhagen.

Crown Princess Mary also attended a meeting with the Mary Foundation taking place at Frederik VIIIs palace, Amalienborg.

Crown Princess Mary at the Psychiatry Foundation’s Conference

With a huge smile on her face, Mary arrived to Hotel Crowne Plaza in Copenhagen to attend the opening of Psychiatry Foundation’s Conference focusing on psychologically vulnerable young people. Mary attended as one of many. She was there as patron of the Psychiatry Foundation, a role she has had for quite many years so far. Being committed to the Psychiatry Foundation work, I think Mary has been able to learn much, especially for her work with the Mary Foundation. No doubt that her presents at the conference created a very special and warm atmosphere. Something I have heard people say over and over again, is that Mary has a unique way of letting everybody feel welcome and relaxed.

These meetings are annual and what I know of, we have been invited inside to get a few glimpse, every year. The Mary Foundation's Presidium are gathered to share experiences and of course results from the past year. Plans for the next were presented by both the Crown Princess herself and CEO of the Mary Foundation Helle Østergaard, later to be discussed at the meeting. Sitting on golden chairs in a room where the lamps are huge chandeliers and the walls are covered by tapestries, was the meeting taking place. On this occasion a large screen was place in the other end of the room, so that everybody could see it.

As well as I completely feel in love with her smile, that new two tone Baum und Pferdgarten (High Summer 2014) dress impressed me! The dress really features some magnificent details. It was quite windy when she arrived to Hotel Crowne Plaza, still she had chosen not to wear any coat. Not that it's unusual at all. Actually the only new thing we saw was the dress. Everything else are reused. It is great to see our fashionable Crown Princess reuse her clothes and accessories. Mary proves with this outfit that reused fashion is never outdated. It only becomes better and better, just like old whine, over time. Once again she was dressed in navy blue. Both dress, Quidam clutch and Pura Lopez pumps are in that incredible colour. Mary embraced the classy style by wearing white pearl earrings from Marianne Dulong, a golden Shamballa Jewels bracelet and her golden Cartier watch -seen multiple times before. I can't hide how overwhelmed I am of this outfit, nor how dazzling her hair looks. Love how it's all wavy and gorgeous. That brown colour makes her look young and fresh! Because the meeting at Frederik VIIIs place took place following the conference at Crowne Plaza, there was no time to change clothes. Oh... can't wait to hear what you have to say about her outfit.

The Carlsberg Foundation's Research Award 2014

Tuesday, September 9th

Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of the Carlsberg Foundation's Research Awards 2014 at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Copenhagen.

To receive an award is one thing, but to receive it from the Crown Princess of Denmark herself has to be one big honor. Don't know if I will ever get the change, maybe one day it is me you see on the stage next to Mary. Well, that's not what this is all about, though it has something to do with an award because Mary attended the presentation of Carlsberg Foundation's Research Awards 2014. In a great mood the Crown Princess arrived to Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen. One day I have to see the place on my own, the building i just beautiful. Almost magical. A few speeches were given and then it was time for Mary and Carlsberg Foundation Chairman Flemming Besenbacher to enter the stage and hand over the awards. The winner were found: Professor Gitte Mood Knudsen, from Copenhagen University Hospital and Professor, Doctor of Philosophy Jesper Ryberg from Roskilde University. Congratulations to them both! After the presentation, some more speeches and a few pictures a dinner took place which Mary also attended. Music was played during the dinner. Certainly a day to remember.

Seems like blue is her favourite colours these days, but I love it. Always adored that navy blue colour and it looks so beautiful with her porcelain skin and dark brown hair. A trendy colour used by almost every designer right now. At the presentation she was dressed in a brilliant floral printed dress from Erdem, first seen in 2013. At that time worn with blue earrings and blue pumps, just like this time. She matched her outfit with stunning aquamarine earrings from Annitkat. The navy Rupert Sanderson pumps completed the look in a great way. In their own stylish way because of the classic design and shape. A match made in heaven with that red Carlend Copenhagen clutch! Immediately my eyes were drawn to the clutch when I first noticed it. Somehow Mary always manages to surprise me, one way or another and she certainly did with this outfit. She is never afraid of trying something new, wear colours and prints. Really, who does not love that clutch with that dress? I also love how the dress is all figure hugging and then her hair looks so voluminous and curly. Looks just great!

Within fourteen days the Crown Prince couple are going to Canada on an official visit. On occasion os this visit Frederik and Mary hosted a reception at Frederik VIIIs palace, Amalienborg, along with Canadian ambassador H.E. André Francois Giroux. The royal couple welcomed all the special invited guest in the Fanegemakket. To it seems like they all were in a really great mood at the welcoming ceremony. The actual reception took place behind closed doors, so we only have some pictures from the arrival.

The first thing I noticed right away, is the fact that Mary was dressed in the exact same colour as the colour on the walls. That's style! For quite some years I have been waiting to see her in that specific dress again because it's not new. You remember it, right? The first time we saw her wearing the blue Hugo Boss (BOSS Black) dress was in 2010, here. At that time she styled with a stunning updo and a pair of earrings featuring coral pendants. Then in 2012, here, we saw it again now with curly hair and burgundy accessories. Now two years has pasted, again, and here we have her in the dress one more time. Dazzling as the first time Mary embrace the style wearing her Marianne Dulong earrings featuring the coral drop pendants. What's great about these earrings, then it's the fact that the pendants are changeable. She has been wearing the golden Shamballa Jewels bracelet quite a lot lately, and it is indeed magnificent, which she also did at the reception along with a couple of other golden bracelets. The diamond rings are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. When she attended a concert in Tivoli, here, a few weeks ago she wore the exact same navy blue suede pumps as yesterday. At first I was sure they were designed by Gianvito Rossi, but with much extra research they have been found at Pura Lopez.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attending Flag Day 2014

The national Flag Day goes back to 2004. The initiative comes from constable Kim Eg Thygesen. But since 2009, September 5th has been devoted to Flag Day. The day is held to honor those lost in battle, those who died during war and for those soldiers who are stationed. Think almost every year since have Frederik and Mary attended the ceremony and placed a wreath in honor to the soldiers. So they did this year. Side by side did the couple arrive to Kastellet in Copenhagen. This ceremony was only one of three held that day. The couple also attended a church service in Holmen's church and a parade on occasion of the Flag Day 2014. On a day like this, the atmosphere is slightly depressed and it was clear how everybody attending were having the same feelings. I think it is very strong to see the royal couple there; showing their support and sympathy. Both Frederik and Mary have at several occasions payed a visit to the Danish soldiers stationed and are also familiar with the military -Frederik as every from Captain of the reserve army and Captain of the Air Force Reserve and Mary as lieutenant in the Homeguard. Because of that they both know what it takes to serve their duty.

Crown Princess Mary attending How to House! -architecture, welfare and innovation in Bella Centre

Between the first and third and fourth event on occasion of the national Flag Day, the Crown princess had somewhere else to go. Here she attended the opening of How to House! -architecture, welfare and innovation which is a part of the conference entitled Almindelige Boligdage 2014 taking place in Bella Centre, Copenhagen. Mary was warmly welcomed by the sweetest flower girl who handed over a beautiful bouquet of flowers to her. Of course Mary gave a speech as part of the opening ceremony which was followed by a guided tour around the exhibition.

Mary's always well-dressed no matter where she is going, but it takes a real woman to find an outfit that shows elegance, modernity and at the same time is respectable for a task like this. I'm sure many of you noticed the beautiful floral skirt from Hennes & Mauritz (Conscious Collection Fall 2011) worn a few times before. Mary matched her midi skirt with a black Hugo Boss peplum. Very classy she had chosen a Susanne Juul creation, which we have seen at several occasions for instance when the couple visited the United States back in 2010, here. The enamel earrings shaped as flowers is differently new, unfortunately I have not been able to find out about anything. What I do know, is that the black pearl bracelet is from Marianne Dulong. As many times before it is her brown Carlend Copenhagen clutch she had chosen to wear with today's outfit. A lovely match with both the beige gloves, hat and shoes of course -a pair of old goodies from Christian Louboutin. The beige leather gloves hid the fact that she was also wearing her golden Cartier watch. Nothing other than a gorgeous look.
