2014 is the year where Denmark celebrate 200 years with schools, a 200th anniversary which of course is worth celebrating. This is a day we celebrate that Danish children have had the right and duty to receive education in 200 years. All over Denmark is the anniversary celebrate by children as well as adults who can attend numbers of activities in their local city and/or one of the more than 40 bigger projects. Throughout the year several exhibitions, school parties and theaters will be a part of the anniversary. As the celebrations patron, did Mary arrived at 10:00 am local time to attend the nationwide The Schools Song Day in Denmark's Radio's concert hall in Copenhagen. The red carpet was rolled out, ready to shine when Mary, Denmark's future Queen, arrived. She was warmly welcomed by hundreds of happy children. Mary simply radiated the concert hall the second she entered the room. Not afraid to show a few dance moves, she danced to the music and singing children. I really think she was amused by watching how happy the children were of all the singing and dancing. I clearly remember my own time in public school; every morning we began the day with a song or two and it was such a lovely way to start a day.

Mary is use to a warm welcome wherever she goes but when she arrived to Sønderbro school in Copenhagen, at 11:30 am local time,  it was way more than the usual. Everybody was screaming to get her attention, taking pictures and just did this arrival remarkable. Like a hour before, she was accompanied by Education Minister Christine Antorini. After the fantastic welcoming ceremony, she visited a classroom and its pupils, followed by a music party in the gym. For about an hour, Mary enjoyed the day with lots of wonderful and sweet children. This was one great way to celebrate such an important anniversary.

Her amazing smile wasn't the only thing that caught my attention when she attended the big celebration in Copenhagen. I am so impressed by this outfit! Have you seen that dazzling Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti (SS09) skirt with that new burgundy blouse?! I lost my breath for a moment. Not the usual way she has worn that skirt, tough we have seen several times before since 2009. Here, here and here. I could talk hours about every little details of this outfits, I'm so amazed by her. Am I the only one who just love her look with the burgundy accessories? I can't get enough of it. Look at her smile, she seems so happy. Mary accessorized her outfit with a pair of leather pumps from Prada and a Rika clutch in the same colour as the rest of it; a dazzling burgundy colour. I am in love with everything from head to toe. When we talk about head, take a look at her fantastic hairdo. I do not know how, but I have to try that myself. So feminine and elegant, also in the every day's. Hairdresser Søren Hedegaard did a damn good job! With her makeup too. Her fair skin and berry lips is a wonderful combo. When she arrived to DR's concert hall in Copenhagen she wore a black Prada coat featuring long sleeves and push buttons. A classic item, always trendy. Mary topped of this incredible outfit with a pair of flower earrings from Jewlscph worn at previous events, two bracelets -one from Shamballa Jewels and one from Marianne Dulong. Both really talented jewellery designers. We saw this bracelet-combination when she attended the opening of The World in the Viking Age in Roskilde the day before. So, I would really like to hear if you are as thrilled as I am. I wouldn't hesitate for a second if someone asked me to wear her outfit, that's for sure!

Opening of Hospital+Innovation Congress

September, 30

As patron of Healthcare DENMARK, Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of Hospital+Innovation Congress in Odense.

What is Hospital+Innovation Congress all about?
Well over the next ten year Denmark are about to invest in 16 new hospital projects which included greenfield projects and expansion of the already existing capacity. The congress invites international healthcare communities to join the discussion on innovative solutions. This year more than 350 participants attended from all over the world. Read much more about it here.

In the shiny black car Mary arrived to Odense on Funen to attend the opening of Hospital+Innovation Congress. Mary is the patron of Healthcare DENMARK who organized the opening. To officially open the congress she gave a wide smile and cut the traditional red ribbon with a large golden scissors standing next to regional council chairman at South Denmark (Region Syd Danmark) Carl Holst and President of Healthcare DENMARK Mariann Fischer Boel. At the opening she also held a speech which aims was to allow cooperation between stakeholders from the public and private sectors in order to create innovative and sustainable health solutions. She also had the chance to talk to some of the 350 participants at the congress which also had a chance to talk to the other participants, to share solutions and knowledge in the area they work. I really think this is a great way to share knowledge we have on certain subjects. We get smarter when we work together. Denmark is a country that uses a lot of time and efforts to develop and improve our hospital system, but we still have much to learn. With the congress that is possible. It is important we keep developing and find the best solutions because it's all about saving lives.

In a really great mood Mary attended the opening wearing a plain navy blue suit. Paying attention to all she was shown, Mary was guided on a little tour to see some of the possible future solutions to improve the healthcare system in among others Denmark. We have at a few occasions seen her wear actually both the short jacket and dress at the same time. They do a great outfit! You might remember the designer Danish SAND Copenhagen. On the left side of her chest she placed a little floral diamond brooch. Well I can't prove a thing to you but once, and only once, I read it was a gift given to her by her father-in-law Prince Henrik which apparently belonged to his mother. I haven't been able to confirm this information any where. So maybe the brooch is inherited or maybe it's not. I kinda like the story and I do not understand why no one can tell me but that's the fact. Sorry. A thing I can identify is her pointed shoes. They are from Lanvin. A lovely pair of shoes! She topped of the look with a Ivory Bogota and Shamballa Jewels bracelets. And of course the magnificent Rika clutch in the most wonderful bordeaux colours!

Can you believe it, Mary is in New York to inaugurate the Trusteeship Council Chamber in the United Nation's building. I think it's pretty cool we have a Crown Princess that are invited to New York to take part in a inauguration of such an important building like this. Maybe I'm just a bit crazy. The reason for her presence is that the chamber was originally in 1952 by renowned Finn Juhl and he's a famous Danish architect. To have such a great architect as him is a thing to be proud of which Mary might also be.

Elegant as usal Mary was in some reused pieces yesterday in the most wonderful dark bordeaux colour. Very sophisticated with the wool-blend A-line Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti skirt and a V-neck jacket/top. The skirt was identified years ago but non have been lucky to find any pictures of it until now, Royal Regal on Facebook found it! Back in 2012 when her and Frederik attended the wedding in Luxembourg she wore the jacket with a pencil skirt. Mary added simple (but expensive) jewellery from Marianne Dulong to her bordeaux look and a Rika clutch. Mary is a woman who like things to match therefor it's obvious that she would wear her bordeaux leather Prada pumps.

Day 2: Official Visit to China

November, 7

Program: Hong Kong
  • 10:30 am. Index Award 2011 exhibition
  • 12:00 pm. Attending a food event
  • 2:00 pm. Visiting B&O (Danish electronic companiy)

On such a trip like this to China I'm ready 24/7 to see all the latest pictures and read several articles from their visits and follow them to see what they are doing (not in a stalker way!). Wait, that's what I almost do every times she's somewhere. Today in Hong Kong both Frederik and Mary were in a really good mood, think they had a great time together visiting one of the world biggest cities. The beautiful Mary was dress wonderful as always in a navy blue fitted SAND (Fall 2012) dress! If was identified by Charlotte, Kate and Lurdes. Thanks to all of you. I think the dress is nice and gives the opportunity to mix and match it will every colour she fancy. From the same designer she wore a navy blue jacket. Her clutch, Rika, and pumps, Prada, featured the same bordeaux colour and was a great choice to the dress and jacket.

I imagen that she picked all of her Georg Jensen jewellery and packed them into her bag before leaving to China because both earrings, brooch, bracelet and ring on her finger come from Georg Jensen. One of my personal favourite jewellery designers we have in Denmark. Earrings and the beautiful handmade brooch are from the Moonlight Blossom collection and are both new. The ring is a part of the Moonlight Grapes collection.

Can't wait till tomorrow to see what she'll be wearing!
