Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary during their third day in the United States
The royal couple spend most of the day together. First at the National Museum of American History Smithsonian Institution in Washington where they attended the exhibition 'On the Water', which was followed by a visited the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Veterans Health Administration is the largest integrated health care system in the US which treats about 9 million veterans annually. Here the couple was accompanied by the business delegation from Denmark.
During the visit at the veteran hospital located in Washington both of them were given a special honorary coin. Three or four hours later the couple appeared in Boston where they visited Guldmann Inc. Crown Prince Frederik payed a visit to Cities as Drivers for Sustainability at the University of Boston followed by a meeting with the Mayor of Boston, Marty Walsh. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find that many articles nor photos from the couple's third day.
Simply gorgeous we get to see so many of her old things. You do remember the blue and greenish signe Bøgelund-Jensen, right? Amazing how well she manages to get this dress styled in a whole new way every time we see it. She has worn it a quite many occasions in many different ways but I do not recall we have ever seen her wear this dress featuring the most incredible pattern with a cardigan before. But it looks really great, especially when Mary wears it as a cape over her shoulders. Clever. Anyone you knows something about the cardigan?
One thing I have learned from her is how well darker colours are matched with lighter ones. This outfit is a great example: a dark blue cardigan and rose patent leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Always a winner. To match the rest of her outfit she was wearing Cenius & Bach earrings and a navy blue Quidam clutch. Mary also accessorized her look with a two diamond bracelets (one of them probably from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, here) and a couple of diamond bands from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen paired with a large diamond ring in the middle. So, though a cardigan is part of every women's basic wardrobe I think it's what changed her outfit to a winner outfit.
Around dinner time the Crown Prince Couple arrived to attend a dinner accompanied by the business delegation and other collaborators. It all took place in State Room in Boston. Both showed a sincere pleasure attending the dinner. It was in a brilliant mood they arrived last as gusts of honor. Both Danish and American guests attended the dinner, which provided a good opportunity for both of them to exchange ideas and opportunities with their own country's experience.
Several speeches were given during the evening and one of them was given by the Crown Princess herself. Proudly she talked about Denmark and the Danes in general with her husband in the front row. Crown Princess Mary captured everybody's attention with her charismatic smile and gentle voice.
The day started in Washington with a visit at the National Museum of American History Smithsonian Institution and ended with a dinner in Boston.
I'm stunned by her creativity. Mixing and matching colours, prints, patterns and fabrics recently. Think we have seen some pieces I'd never thought we would see Mary wear. This new dress is one of them. It took my many attempts to identify her new olive green dress, even though I didn't. But with help from Heaven and Kate I am able to tell that her dress is from Tory Burch.
Mary embraced her wonderful outfit with a drop earrings from Danish Jewlscph. It is not the first time we see them, but they caused me great trouble. But not any longer. I can't say the same thing about her golden filigree bracelet. She has worn it before and several ideas have been suggested. I haven't found it yet.
On a photo we see a glimpse of her shoes. Snake skin pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Hate to say so, but not the best match with the embroidered dress. What do you think? Mary was also wearing two more bracelets - one from Cartier and one I believe is from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, here. She is also wearing a square shaped ring. I still have no idea where it is from, nor if she has worn it before. Sergio Rossi is the creator of her incredible clutch bag.
