Reception for Lene Balleby

30 January 2025

Lene Balleby has worked as the royal family's communications director for 17 years. An era is about to end. On February 1st the royal court has a new communications director - former editor and tv hostess Nina Z. Munch-Perrin.

On January 30th people gathered at a farewell reception for Lene Balleby. The reception took place at Christian VIII's Palace at Amalienborg. Lene Balleby was honored with a new title as chambermaid.

The King and Queen attended the reception and they were in a splendid mood. Princess Benedikte were also present at the reception.

Honestly I have never really been a big fan of that The Fold London blouse. Mainly the color was nagging me. It is so pale and boring but today I changed my mind. I absolutely love the combination with the grey structured Celine trousers. The two colors are brilliant in pair! It took way too long for those two to find each other. The fine grey patent leather belt is a great detail.

I also really like how she accessorized the outfit with a reused diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co and shiny diamond rings. Makes the look a bit more glamorous. Think I spotted a pair of grey suede ankle boots. Quite sure she has worn them before but I have no ID.

"Mary Elizabeth's Hospital - Riget for Children, Adolescents and Pregnant Women"

01 February

The Crown Princess welcomed February and her 50th birthday with an early surprise. It was announced that a new hospital will be named after the Crown Princess - "Mary Elizabeth's Hospital - Riget for Children, Adolescents and Pregnant Women". The new children's hospital will ready for inauguration in 2025.

The hospital is directed at children, young people and pregnant women and will include 179 single rooms, 87 outpatient rooms and 13 operating rooms. They will be incorporating play as a central part of the hospital and the patients everyday, when staying there.

Crown Princess Mary's hopes is that new way of adding play to the sentence will inspire others to do the same.

Mary dazzled in her stunning red silk blouse from Hugo Boss. I love it when she is wearing these bright and warm colours. They look so good on her. This red colour and her fair skin and dark brown are simply a perfect match. We get a tiny glimpse of a belt and what looks like trousers. I think she was wearing plan black trousers.

She accessorized her outfit with the most beautiful diamond jewellery. The exclusive flower necklace features studded clear diamonds are from Tiffany & Co. It looks amazing as a pair with the rather large diamond ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry. This is such a classic "Mary outfit". Polished, elegant, simple and super easy to wear for both day events and in evenings. Would your wear colours like this?

The European Australian Business Council 2019

27 June

According to the official calendar this is the last event for Crown Princess Mary before going on vacation. Not that I know when or where the family are going on vacation, but no more official events for now.

Then, on Thursday noon the Crown Princess arrived to Børsen in Copenhagen to attend The European Australian Business Council. She was kindly welcomed with all it takes to welcome a Crown Princess - flowers, handshakes and lots of friendly smiles. The event was organized and hosted by Dansk Erhverv, a business organization in the field of employment counseling and political interest representation. It was all about stregenthing the relations between Australia and Denmark. Especially, since the marriage between Crown Prince Frederik and the, then Mary Donaldson, Denmark and Australia have built up a strong relationship. It continues. The European Australian Business Council has worked since 1999 to encourage a relationship between the two countries focusing on on trade and investment.

Crown Princess Mary also attended the following reception on behalf gathering at Børsen.

What a stunning showstopper. Mary looked wonderfully beautiful in her bright pink dress from No 21. The color and silhouette are simply outstanding. Makes her skin look vivid and figure look its best. Mary first wore this dress last year when celebrating her husband, Crown Prince Frederik's 50th birthday, here. It was when the couple and four children revealed a new portrait of themselves. Back then I also adored her pink dress.

This time she accessorized the outfit with expensive diamond earrings shaped as flowers. She has worn them on several different occasions, among others when visiting the Faroe Islands in 2018, here. Beautiful piece of work, as with the necklace. It was found at Tiffany & Co. It is part of their Paper Flower Collection, inspired by the flowers of nature. A third diamond pieces worn at The European Australian Business Council 2019, is her Dulong Fine Jewelry ring.

She also embraced the style by wearing an old pink Carlend Copenhagen clutch. This is made of crocodile. It also comes in pink python - I have one myself. A lovely bag. The nude pointed pumps are from Prada. Loved them since we first saw them in 2016. A really well-chosen outfit I think. For sure one I will remember.
