Presentation of the Carlsberg Foundation's Research Awards 2025
September 03, 2025
Queen Mary attended the presentation of this years Carlsberg Foundation's Research Awards taking place at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen. She also attended the following dinner.
Chairperson of the Carlsberg Foundation, Majken Schultz was accompanied by Danish Minister of Education and Research Christina Egelund and the chairperson of the award committee Mette Birkedal Bruun welcomed the Queen when she arrived at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek.
Professor at the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen Klaus Mølme and Claes Holger de Vreese, professor and head of the Digital Democracy Centre at the University of Southern Denmark, were this year's recipients of the Carlsberg Foundation's Research Awards.
They are rewarded with 1.5 million Danish Kroner to their research and 500,000 Danish Kroner as a personal reward.
Mary first wore this set back in 2017 when visiting Japan. Either you like it or you don't. What team are you on? I always liked the vibe but I see why somebody confused it with nightwear. The floral printed set is from Etro. She styled it with black mesh pumps from Gianvito Rossi and a reused glitter clutch from Sergio Rossi. Simply beautiful!
I'm pretty sure many of you noticed the stunning opal necklace. Magnificent, right? I'm 99.9% sure it is a gift from the JAA Opal Sector in 2006. This is its very first public appearance. Mary was gifted a pendant and Frederik received opal cufflinks.
As other jewellery Mary wore a colorful Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelet, a golden Rebekka Notkin cuff and a Cartier watch.
