"Find the Elephant - Experience Aarhus"
20 June 2024
Queen Mary attended the event "Find the Elephant - Experience Aarhus" in Aarhus. The project is by the Psychiatry Foundation - one of her patronages.
"Find the Elephant - Experience Aarhus" is an 'exhibition' of 30 decorated elephant sculptures located all over Aarhus to raise awareness about mental illnesses. The sculptures are designed by both Danish and international artists. End of summer 2024, the elephant sculptures will be auctioned in favor of the Psychiatry Foundation's work to ensure better treatment and terms for people with a mental illness.
During her visit in Aarhus, she met with some of the artists and residents from Enghaven in Horsens, who shared with her poems of own experiences with a mental illness.
Seems like Mary is quite fond of simple outfits these days. When attending the event in Aarhus, she had wisely chosen a blue and white pinstriped Bagutta blouse and chic navy blue Max Mara trousers. She first wore them at Queen Margrethe's 84th birthday in April. The blouse is from the couple's first day in Norway on May 14th.
Mary captured a wonderful outfit with a few (but stunning) pieces of jewellery. We all know about the initial 'F'-necklace from Halberstadt, but do you remember her beautiful Louise Grønlykke earrings? Well, we have only seen them once. In 2021, when the couple had a small chat with Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit.
Honestly, I have never really been a huge fan of her Malone Souliers heels. The design is a bit odd to me, but the more Mary wears them, I have a good eye for them. What is your opinion?
