Packing important backpacks

14 August 2023

For quite some years, the Mary Foundation has worked along with the Ole Kirk's Foundation and LOKK - the National Organization of Women's Crisis Centers to help children in crisis centers. Many of them often arrived with their mother and siblings with very little or nothing.

The three of them have developed a special backpack in collaboration with LEGO. This is why the Crown Princess visited LEGO in Billund on August 14th. To give a helping hand packing some backpacks (here).

A backpack contain things like toothbrushes, postcards, toys. Thing that makes it a little easier for the children to adapt to the revolutionary situation. And give the children the opportunity to talk about the feelings they have inside during the turbulent time.

I'm not sure I am the biggest fan of Mary's latest outfit when packing backpacks in Billund. I cannot pinpoint what it is about the outfit that I am not crazy about. Maybe the denim blouse. It makes her look a bit "too casual" to me. What was your first impression?

In Billund, Mary styled a reused denim blouse from Polo Ralph Lauren and brand new Closed trousers. Those, I kinda like. Think they are pretty cool with the rather large pockets and the BOSS Hugo Boss belt makes it even more edgy.

She embraced the casual style with quite a few pieces of jewellery. I spotted a new green beads necklace matched with her beloved Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces. As other jewellery, she wore bracelets from Rebekka Notkin and Dulong Fine Jewelry. A closer look revealed that Mary also was wearing rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and Dulong Fine Jewelry.

The new beige suede loafers are from Hermés and her tortoise-like glasses are from Gucci.

Christiansfeld's 250th anniversary

13 August 2023

How many cities can enjoy of being on the UNESCO World Heritage List? Christiansfeld can. Christiansfeld also enjoyed celebrating its 250th anniversary. It was celebrated with a wonderful party and the Crown Prince Couple were invited (here).

Count Ingolf and his wife Countess Sussie of Rosenborg also attended the festivities.

The Crown Prince Coupe were warmly welcomed when arriving to Christiansfeld. People had gathered around the city to get a glimpse, a smile and a handshake.

To mark the anniversary, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary both attended official lunch, a guided tour around the city and a beautiful church service. What a day.

Mary truly looked like a dream when visiting Christiansfeld in her bright red Birgit Hallstein dress. She wore it for the fifth time (here, here, here, here). My personal favorite was in 2012, when she attended the official opening of "Copenhagen 2021".

Celebrating Christiansfeld's 250th anniversary, Mary had chosen to accessorize her stunning dress with a reused hat by Jane Taylor. First worn in 2011 at the wedding of Prince Albert of Monaco and Carlene Wittstock (here).

As jewellery, she wore creations by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, Halberstadt, Julie Sandlau, Rebekka Notkin and Dulong Fine Jewelry. Mary was also wearing her new white beaded bracelet. It was ID'd as MaRe. What are you favorites? I am in love with how she matched two pairs of earrings. Silver and gold.

Her fine beige clutch has never been identify. One day, I hope to be able to write a name on it. Wish she would have worn matching shoes. Instead, Mary completely her outfit with midi brown sandals from Gianvito Rossi. If you now a little able Christiansfeld, then that is to wear practical shoes. The city is covered with cobblestones. Not good for high heels.

A very special greeting

09 August 2023

More than 2,000 children are following their mothers to crisis centers in Denmark. Often they have left their homes from one moment to another. This means that they now and then arrived to the crisis center without anything else but themselves.

The Mary Foundation has work along with the Ole Kirk Foundation and LOKK for years now and handed over very special backpacks to the children. The backpack contains everything from toys, toothbrushes, books, etc.

The backpacks also comes with the opportunity to write or draw a postcard. Crown Princess shared some of the postcards they have received from children at crisis centers in a little video posted on social media.

World Cup

Denmark vs Australia

07 August, 2023

The Crown Prince family are back home after a wonderful vacation on Ibiza. This post is the first one seen in a very long time. The family posted a little something on occasion of the World Cup in women's football. Denmark played a match in Sydney against Australia's national team.

Crown Princess Mary enjoyed a lovely moment with the family's furry friends wearing a lovely new denim shirt from Polo Ralph Lauren and matching trousers.
