Reception for the Mary Elizabeths Hospital
07 June 2023
Did you know that Mary has a bridge named after her? Also a rose, a tulip, a geranium, a bench and now a hospital: The Mary Elizabeths Hospital (here).
On June 7th, she attended a reception to celebrate the new hospital. The Crown Princess was accompanied by architects, partners of the project and the craftsmen working on the new hospital.
After she had been given a guided tour around the construction site, she met with children from the SMIL Foundation's creative workshop at Rigshospitalet.
The SMIL Foundation is a safehaven for children and young people up to 18 years of age associated with Rigshospitalet. The SMIL will also be part of the new Mary Elizabeths Hospital.
Honestly, I had my hopes high for her outfit at the reception and she was indeed good-looking, but I had hoped for something more. Maybe a dress, some colors, etc. Something a bit more glamorous. Instead, Mary had chosen a reused white Polo Ralph Lauren blouse/jacket and matching soft brown trousers from the same designer. Both pieces have been seen before.
She embraced the style with beautiful white south sea pearl earrings custom-made by Dulong Fine Jewelry. These earrings have to be her most beloved earrings. They go way back.
Her delicate necklaces are from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. With these necklaces, she has her family nearby all the time with initials of her loved ones.
We also get a glimpse of her shoes. A pair of brown suede Gianvito Rossi pumps. Midi high heels.
