Reopening of Museum Ovartaci
17 May 2023
Crown Princess Mary attended the reopening of Museum Ovartaci in Aarhus on May 17th around noon.
Museum Ovartaci has a very unique history. It is build on two exhibitions: a psychiatry historical exhibition and an internationally recognized art collection of works created by people with psychiatric diagnoses. The museum is named after the artist Ovartaci (Louis Marcussen). He was hospitalized at Psychiatric Hospital in Risskov for 56 years. During his time, he created numerous masterpieces - also on display.
This is truly the outfit I needed to spike my spring vibe. She looked absolutely stunning at the reopening in her reused ba&sh printed blouse and Chloe caramel colored trousers. I really love this outfit. She wore the blouse when meeting a new board member of the Mary Foundation in 2020 (here) and the trousers in new family photos from 2022 (here).
Mary accessorized her beautiful look with golden necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. I also see golden earrings but I can't figure if they are new or old. Ideas? We get a glimpse of a matching diamond bangle from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen as well.
The smashing brown suede pointed pumps are old ones from Gianvito Rossi. Mary also wore them with another one of my most beloved outfits at the launch of the 2022 UNFPA "State of World Population Report" (here).
