Meeting at Amalienborg

Wednesday, January 31st

Yet another unofficial meeting for the Crown Princess on Wednesday. She met with the General Secretary Christian Friis Bach and Stig Glent Madsen Chairman of Danish Refugee Council. It is as patron of the Danish Refugee Council the Crown Princess hosted this meeting taking place at Frederik VIIIs Palace. During the meeting the three of them talked about, among other things, the global refugee situation in general. Danish Refugee Council's activities were also a main topic such as future plans were discussed.

At the meeting, Mary was dressed in a black suit. I believe she matched her reused Zara blazer with a pencil skirt. But it is a little hard to tell. Not as when she wore it back in 2017 at the world premiere of the international documentary Jaha's Promise at Grand Theatre in Copenhagen, here. A pair of black trousers would be more likely. What do you think? She amazed me by wearing a brand new powder pink silk blouse. Heaven managed to identify it as Hugo Boss. It is one of their basic blouses. Works perfectly with the black blazer and skirt. In the same dusty pink colour, she embraced the style wearing beautiful drop earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. I am not quite sure when we saw them for the first time, but they are pretty old by now. Still, she makes them look brand new.

A black trouser suit is such a versatile piece to have in one's closet. How many times have we seen the crown princess style a black trouser suit and it always comes out as being well-put-together and, perfect for the occasion, whatever it might be!. What is great is that in today's world, one does not have to stick necessarily with the same pant--we have so many styles from which to chose, be it slim-fit, wide leg, palazzo and, recently I saw a rather stunting suit with a crop pant! One can and will never go wrong by building a wardrobe of classic pieces which can later be worn interchangeably.

By the wait, here is another of my question which has nothing to do with fashion. Who is the gentleman to the right of the crown princess in the photo of them standing at the foot of the staircase. He looks familiar--was he in the Danish parliament or did he work with the Queen, previously?

    Have a great weekend!

    Kind regards,

    RW

    1. All kind of questions are always welcome.

I believe you refer to the man on her right wearing a blue/grey shirt, right? His name is Christian Friis Bach. He act as General Secretary for the Danish Refugee Council. Previously, he worked for UN and has been member of the Danish Parliament from 2011 to 2013.

The Crown Princess and Christian Friis Bach have visited both Jordan and Mozambique. I believe that was in around 2012 when he worked as Minister of Development for the Danish Parliament.

I hope this enlightened you, a least just a bit :)
