It is 40 years since the Greenlandic flag was raised for the first time. That special day was celebrated on Greenland's National Day.
The King and Queen share a little note on social media on occasion of the National Day:
"We send our warmest greetings to all the Greenlandic people and wish everyone a good day – in town, village and wherever else you mark the day." - King Frederik & Queen Mary
