The Carlsberg Foundation Research Awards 2016

Sunday, September 25th

Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of The Carlsberg Foundation Research Awards 2016 followed by a dinner which both took place at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Copenhagen.

This is not the first time Mary has attended the presentation of The Carlsberg Foundation Research Awards -and hopefully not the last. She was welcomed with flowers and handshakes. Shortly after the arrival she attended a dinner on occasion of the ceremony followed by the presentation of two awards which are given to a scientific and a social science researcher. Along with the honor, the winners are given DKK 1 million for further research. Tobias Holck and Morten Broberg are this years winner of the Carlsberg Foundation Research Awards. Congratulations to the two winners! 2016 was a bit more special because the presentation actually took place on Carlsberg Foundation's 140th anniversary. All of this celebration took place at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Copenhagen, as previously. So this is how Mary spend her Sunday afternoon, as guest of honor at a award ceremony.

... and she strikes again! In a floral vintage inspired Marc Jacobs dress. Yellow rose is not some of my favourite but I think I have to rethink that state of mind, at least when it comes to yellow roses as print on a dress. Lately, Mary surprised me quite a lot with what she has been wearing and this one was no excuse. Smashing shape that embraces her body beautifully! But it is the print that hits you first. It was B., Heaven and Kate who told me about her new dress. Thanks to all of you! The black details on the skirt makes me think of a cartoon (nothing bad). What was your first impression? Matching the yellow "theme" the Crown Princess had chosen a pair of new Jewlscph earrings, here, found by Kate, and her Børge Niels Knudsen vintage cuff featuring that huge, diamond shaped, yellow citrine. And of course the golden Cartier bracelet. Paring the outfit with shiny black Gianvito Rossi pumps and a black unidentified clutch. Really love how dramatic her eye makeup is. She looks like a summer sunset. I wonder how this dress would look with a pair of golden or maybe even silver glitter pumps?

Design Awards 2016

Thursday, September 22nd

Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of Design Awards 2016 where the Crown Princess handed over the awards to this years winners which took place at People's Theatre in Copenhagen. 1 2 3 4

When I first discovered Mary's attendance at the Design Awards 2016 I have really been looking forward to the 22nd of September. Now, working with design almost everyday this award show has been so interesting to watch. Great to see who would win and the nominated designs. For Mary to attend the show is making it even better. Two of my favourite things gathered at one event. It is the interior magazines BO BEDRE, Bolig Magasinet and Costume Living who hosted the show in People's Theatre, in downtown Copenhagen. At the arrival, as guest of honor, she was warmly welcomed and guided to her seat from where she later entered the stage presenting Designer of the Year. The award was then given to the company Norm Architects. Congratulations from me to Norm Architects and all the other winners, here! By the way this is the first time Mary is present at this award show. Seems like they all had a wonderful evening with much to celebrate.

These days Mary keeps impressing, and surprising, me with her outfits! First thing I noticed is that it seems like she enjoys wearing lots of prints lately. Am I the only one noticed that? Nothing bad, I love it. Think it's great she teaches us to wear prints and patterns more often. More important how to wear them. This new black printed maxi dress can only be described with one word: elegant. Without looking overdressed she accessorized the new Alice + Olivia maxi dress with golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry featuring plenty of diamonds and a brand new Georg Jensen collier. It was a Royals & Fashion I found the ID on her dress, just to make sure then I wasn't the one identifying it. Actually I think it's the first time we see Mary in their design. I often wondered if we would ever see her in one of their creations and now we have. Reminds me a lot of her Etro gown, especially because of the print. Do you like it? Perfectly matching the dress she had chosen a bright blue Prada clutch and a few bracelets from among others Cartier. She also dazzled in a pair of new black sandals which was, also, identified by Royals & Fashion as Aquarzzura. I'd never heard of Aquarzzura before but I have already fallen in love with their shoes. This model was made in collaboration by Aquarzzura and Poppy Delevingne -therefor Aquarzzura (x Poppy Delevingne). I also noticed her wearing some kind of dusty lilac nail polish.  Even though I had hoped for some kind of glamours updo, this will do. Lovely curls!

Day 3. United Nations' General Assembly in New York

Wednesday, September 21st

As member of the United Nations Population Fund is Crown Princess Mary in New York from September 19-21st to attend the United Nations' General Assembly (UNGA).

Program: New York
  • 8:15 am. Crown Princess Mary spoke at Deliver for Good: Investments in Girls and Women to Achieve the SGSs.
  • 11:30 am. The Crown Princess attended a guided tour in the Great Northern Food Hall

This her third, and last, day in New York. Since Monday 19th Mary has been in New York. As member of the UN's Population Fund has she attended United Nations' General Assembly or abbreviated to UNGA. From early morning Mary was on the go. First she attended Deliver for Good: Investments in Girls and Women to Achieve the SGSs where she gave a speech and was highly committed to the panel discussion. The meeting was followed by a visit to the Great Northern Food Hall couple of hours later. The Great Northern Food Hall opened in June 2016, aiming to promote northern food in New York and comes as idea from chef Claus Meyer. She attended the Great Northern Food Hall along with Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen and Claus Meyer himself. Judging from their faces and smiles, seems like it was a great experience for all of them.

Two pieces of clothes I never get tired of! The white v-neck blouse and full floral skirt embraces her figure beautifully. We have seen both the Hugo Boss blouse and Dolce & Gabbana skirt before, even together at a visit to Africa, I believe in 2015. Sure you remember it more precise than I do. I have never been good at floral printed skirt but since Mary wore this the first time, I've been in love with them. Can't get enough of them now. So I'm thrilled she's wearing it again. Her outfit was styled with a new necklace and a pair of golden hoop earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry featuring lots of sparkly diamonds. About the necklace, then I haven't been able to get a good view because the lack a good pictures. Doesn't look like something she usually wears. Think I see a ring on her right hand but I can't identify which one. Of course she was wearing shoes as well but I only get a short glimpse. According to Royal & Fashion Mary wore a pair of new Gianvito Rossi pumps and I think she has found exactly the pair she was wearing. But take a closer look and let me know what you think. You do not hear me complain, still I would love to have seen her hair in some kind of updo or maybe some curls. Anything actually.

...and Mary is now back in Denmark after three great days in New York.

Day 2. United Nations' General Assembly in New York

Tuesday, September 20th

Crown Princess Mary is in New York from September 19-21st to attend the United Nations' General Assembly (UNGA).

Program: New York
  • 7:15 am. Crown Princess Mary attended the meeting World Leaders x Young Leaders side event along with among others Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen.
  • 8:30 am. Crown Princess Mary was present, as member, at a meeting with High Level Task Force for ICPD.
  • 11:00 am. The Crown Princess attended the meeting Girl, Uninterrupted: Increasing Opportunity During Adolescence.
  • 1:15 pm. Crown Princess Mary spoke at Stakeholder Commitments to Safeguard Maternal Helath During Humanitarin Crises: Presentation of the 'Safe Birth Even Here' Campaign as patron of UNFPA.
  • 5:30 pm. The Crown Princess Mary attended the reception Celebrating progress toward ending child marriage.

Along with both young leaders, representatives from among others governments, the private sector and academia, the Crown Princess attended morning meal at 7:15 am local time that gave all of them the opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge which was the main reason why they were all gathered over a common meal. With paper and pen she, very committed, attended a meeting with High Level Task Force for ICPD which she is also member of and has been since 2012. In the afternoon it was time for her to participate the Stakeholder Commitments to Safeguard Maternal Helath During Humanitarin Crises: Presentation of the 'Safe Birth Even Here' Campaign as patron of UNFPA where she gave a speech. At this meeting she was sitting next to the Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund, Dr. Babatunde Osotimehin, whom she met with after the meeting. It was at a reception at 5:30 pm local time she attended Tuesday's final event. I bet such conferences is worth a lot for attendances as Mary and of course all the other representatives taking part in some of the events in New York.

I doubt I have to say that of course the cause of matter is way more important than Mary's new dress. But to make sure, I want you to know that her committment is worth much more than what she's wearing. End of story. Most were dressed in classy black blazers, white and grey. Simple, minimalistic colours, much use by Scandinavian women. Not Mary. The Crown Princess radiated in a brand new, bright red dress! Featuring a print I had a hard time figuring out what it should look like. First I thought about exotic birds. What was your first thought? It was at Royals & Fashion that I learned it is from ba&sh. A brand she has worn once before. Really interesting print. The more I look at it, I think it looks like flowers. What a strong dress to wear at a conference like this. Would love to see what shoes she wore but I have not been able to find a photo that shows them. It was with jewellery from Dulong Fine Jewelry and Cartier she styled her outfit. Oh... and of course the stunning beige (maybe even nude) leather bag from Prada. A strong, though quite casual look on her second day in New York.

Day 1. United Nations' General Assembly in New York

Monday, September 19th
From September 19-21st is Crown Princess Mary present at the United Nations' General Assembly (UNGAin New York.

Program: New York
  • 7:00 pm. Crown Princess Mary attended the reception Celebrating Solutions. Keeping up momentum for girls & women organized by Women Deliver. 1

Three busy days were ahead of Mary when she on monday arrived to New York to attend UNGA - United Nations' General Assembly. She is accompanied by Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen. They were both guests of honor to attend a reception with Women Deliver in the evening. Here they attended the launch of a new campaign entitled Deliver for Good focusing on girls and women's rights and health. According to Billed Bladet, hundred ideas and solutions from the Women Deliver conference, hosted by Denmark couple of months ago, were presented at the reception. Mary is present at several meeting and other activities during the three days in New York. The Crown Princess is not the only royal family member attending, also Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine of Sweden, King Abdullah and Queen Rania of Jordan, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain are attending UNGA. So, as you see, our Crown Princess is not the only one committed to make a difference.

It was more of a private reception she attended in the evening. Only a few picture have been published which makes it way more complicated to identify what she actually was wearing representing Denmark in New York. What I see is a brand new striped skirt and a sleeveless black blouse. Heaven shared her thoughts with me on this new skirt and I decided to mail Designers Remix to ask if Mary's new skirt could be one of their designs -as Heaven had suggested. And you know what? It was indeed a Designers Remix skirt, although not from a current season where it's pink and metallic blue, here, here. Think she is wearing a thin black belt to embrace her waistline. About the blouse. Well I have no ID, yet, but I am pretty sure it is the same as the one she wore attending the INDEX: Award 2015, here. What do you say? -Is it the same. To me they look quite similar. No photos showing her feet, so unfortunately I can't tell you anything about her shoes. My guess would we a pair of black pointed pumps, maybe from SAND Copenhagen or Gianvito Rossi. This time I'm only able to ID two bracelets which are from Dulong Fine Jewelry and Cartier. Am I just the only one or would you love to have you own Love Bracelet from Cartier? When looking at her earrings I think it could be a pair of golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Great way to start a three days visit.

Inauguration of a New School in Aabybro

Thursday, September 15th

Crown Princess Mary attended the inauguration of a new school in Aabybro, near Aalborg. 1 2 3 4 5

It's not every day a new school is about to be inaugurated (and then we have had two the last month!), so of course it has to be celebrated in a special way which was done by inviting none other than the Crown Princess of Denmark. Truly a day of celebration. Arriving to Aabybro school, Mary was welcomed by among others the city mayor, school director and the flower girl was a flower boy -the student council president. On her way to visit the different departments at the new school she said hi to some of all the attendees children, who seemed very happy to meet the Crown Princess. She officially opened the new school with a fine speech and by revealing a painting, made on occasion of the inauguration. Her speech was followed by meeting some of the children who, from now on, are spending their everyday at Aabybro school. The greatest congratulations from me to Aabybro with their new school!

Seems like Mary got some kind of "dress-code" when attending inaugurations of new schools because what she was wearing at the inauguration in Aabybro was very -very- similar to what the Crown Princess wore on September 3rd while attending the inauguration of Frederiksberg school, here. You see the similarity? Always been a fan of these full midi skirts and she always wear them so beautifully! This time she wore one featuring the most wonderful birds print from Andiata (AW2015). I know about the skirt from sweet and helpful reader who also told me that it is also available as a dress, here.  But the skirt isn't the only new thing because the white blouse featuring those lovely ruffle sleeves is also new. I haven't been able to find out where it's from but this kind of blouse is pretty trendy right now. So to you who would like a similar blouse, you have the opportunity no matter how much money you want to spend on it. Makes a great outfit! Especially matched with the Gianvito Rossi pumps. Love how shoes and the print on her skirt colour matches. Elegance; is the word crossing my mind when looking at her outfit, also how she styled it with bracelets from Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry, Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen rings and a pair of Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings. Looking splendid, Mary had chosen a rather simple hairstyle. A ponytail. But really, Mary rock any kind of hairstyle no matter how simple it is.

50th Anniversary in Copenhagen

Wednesday, September 14th

Crown Princess Mary attended the 50th anniversary celebration of the Day Centre Strødammens in Copenhagen.

It was a very special day, a day of celebration Mary attended when she arrived to the Strødammen Day Centre  in Copenhagen. They were celebrating their 50th anniversary and Mary was attending as the very special guest of honor. The Strødammen's Day Centre is for adults with brain injuries as a result of for instance a stroke or heart attack. She arrived in a great mood and was welcomed with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. She was then given a guided tour around the facility where the Crown Princess took plenty of time to meet the people living there, who proudly showed her what they had created as one of their daily activities. These photos, from her visit, melted my heart like a piece of ice on a hot summer day. Instantly. Not hard to imagine how much a visit like this means to everyone attending. If the smile on Mary's face was reciprocated by just a few, I think the missions is accomplished. I get the impression that Mary really enjoyed her day at the Stødammen's Day Centre.

She was radiating in the most dazzling new dress featuring a mint blue colour! Fabulous! Really; less is more. At Daily Mail I read that her new, Signe Bøgelund-Jensen, dress is pale grey but to me it looks nothing but grey. What do you think? No matter what colour is it, I am crazy in love with the dress. Every feature looks splendid. Embraces her figure beautifully. Don'y you think? So amazing how she styled her outfit with a pair of pointed from Gianvito Rossi which seems to be one of her favourite shoes these days. Think it's third or fourth time we have seen them the last couple of weeks. But you do not hear me complain, Gianvito Rossi has won my heart with his incredible classy designs. As the pumps have we seen her wear those green earrings before such as the couple of bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry and Cartier. Adore the contrast between her dark hair and pale colours of her outfit. Makes her look so summery. One of the last things I want you to notice is the ring on her right hand. It features a rather large aquamarine blue square stone, well to me it looks new. Smashing. What always overwhelms me about Mary's outfits, is how every little detail makes the outfit complete and at the same time stuns on its own. Every piece of jewellery is exquisite. Flawless makeup -what else do I have to say.

Day 2. The 66th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe

Tuesday, September 13th

Crown Princess Mary attended a reception in the Opera House on occasion of The 66th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe in Copenhagen from September 12-13th. The Crown Princess was attending as patron of the WHO Regional Office for Europe.

Representatives from 53 different countries around the world have been gathered in Copenhagen to participate in The 66th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe meeting. Crown Princess Mary has, as patron of WHO Regional Office for Europe, also been present on September 12th among others she was the one to officially open the conference with a speech. A proper way to end two great days with lots on the agenda, everybody were invited to a reception taking place in the Opera located at Holmens channel. On the other side of the channel we have Amalienborg castle where the Crown Prince couple and their four children live in Frederik VIII's palace, right next to the Queen and her husband -something you already know. The location of the two gave Mary an opportunity to arrive by boat. As anywhere else Mary goes, she caught everybody's attention on each side of the channel. Glamorously she both entered and got off the boat again. No doubt that it was a great evening. Leaving later in the evening Mary captured the atmosphere from the Opera house in the photo you see below. Just love that we get these photos taken by and of the royal family members!

Et billede slået op af DET DANSKE KONGEHUS (@detdanskekongehus) den

I truly understand why she caught so much attention, not only because she is Mary (Crown Princess of Denmark) but because of what she was wearing. Something I wish I lived near by to get a glimpse of her. Unfortunately I don't. Back to her insane incredible outfit! Not to boast but the first time she wore this beauty of a dress I was actually able to identify it, although she had never worn anything (I know of) from Zimmermann. Had the impression that it was adored by almost everyone. The dress still amazes me! Love how it moves when she walks. Think she was wearing the same thin belt as the first time, a thing I haven't been able to ID but I do not believe the dress comes with a belt. Dressed up with a pair of powder pink Gianvito Rossi pointed pumps and a few other jewellery from among others Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen I find her look very nice. Great how she manages to wear something like snake print this classy. She knows hot to make it look chic and elegant without looking over dressed at all. Lovely detail with the blue pendant in the earrings. Would really like to hear what you have to say about this one; go or no go? Because I think it's either an outfit you really like or just dislike. As always, I'm a fan!

Day 1. The 66th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe

Monday, September 12th

Crown Princess Mary attended The 66th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe from September 12-13th in the UN office, Copenhagen and a reception in the evening at Louisiana Art Museum.

Program: Copenhagen
  • Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of The 66th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe taking place in Copenhagen.
  • 7:00 pm. Crown Princess Mary was present at the Health- and elderly Ministry reception in occasion of the WHO Europe's 66th regional committee meeting at Louisiana Art Museum.

Crown Princess Mary attending the 66th session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe

It was a patron of the WHO Regional Office for Europe who arrived, in a great mood, to attend the 66th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe taking place in the UN office in Copenhagen. Of course I'm talking about Mary. Finding her spot on the stage she gave a 10 minutes long speech, here, an impressing speech about the importance of girls and women's health and gender equality. A debate she has for quite some years now has participated in. With her speech she was able to point out the important work of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the group of people who were gathered -all to achieve good health for all, at all ages as Mary expressed herself. The Crown Princess was present at series of meeting and events, among others she met with representatives from the 53 Member States of the WHO European Region.

So, I think we have seen quite a few, pretty impressive, work-wear outfits the last couple of days. I know what she has attended required some sort of "business" - "lady-like" - "work-wear" outfit, especially on Monday at the 66th Regional Committee for Europe. Nothing ordinary about her outfit, though it was classy look similar to something we have seen before. If that even make sense to you. It was after reading Daily Mails article, here, I learned about her Hugo Boss outfit. Knowing what to search for I immediately found the skirt but was really troubled trying to ID the new white blouse. Then I found a similar one at Hugo Boss, still not exactly the one Mary was wearing. Suddenly a picture showed up of a dress! So the conclusion is that Mary is in fact wearing a dress (if I had read Daily Mails article better I would have know right away). They only provided their readers with the skirt, my readers get the real deal -her dress. Do doubt that we'll see this again. Seems like she likes styling her outfits with beige or nude bags these days which looks great! This one is from Prada. Both bag and Gianvito Rossi pumps have been seen before. Is is just me or does her hair look darker? Never mind. Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and I believe the earrings is Hartmann's, is the designers who accessorized Mary at her day in the UN office.

Crown Princess Mary attedning a reception at Louisiana Art Museum

Really a shame I haven't been able to find out much about her attendance at the Health- and elderly Ministries reception at Louisiana Art Museum in Hulmebæk, north of Copenhagen. What I know is that the reception was held on occasion of the World Health Organizations (WHO) regional committee meeting taking place on September 12-13th once again in Copenhagen. At the arrival she was warmly welcomed by Health- and Elderly Minister Sophie Løhde. The two of them have met before a several occasions, this was differently not the first time. Sophie Løhde seemed honored to meet the Crown Princess again and of course to welcome her. Mary wasn't the only one attending. Representatives from all over the world participating the meeting of the Regional Committee of WHO during the two days conference also had found their way to Humlebæk.

What is art and what is design? -and what is actually the difference? The last two weeks this is the questions I've been asked most frequently because I, as you know, has started at the University to take a degree in Design culture and Economic. I will not talk that much about it, only if you want me to tell you a bit more about it. But as a student in Design culture and Economic we right now work with the term: what is design? Which actually is way more complex than I first anticipated. The reason why I mention this is because of Mary's Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti dress. An incredible design and its pattern very artistic. Nothing new about it but it's always great to see an old dress again. Tend to think that it is the perfect artistic dress for a reception at an art museum. Don't think we have seen it with such neutral accessories before as the pink patent Gianvito Rossi pumps and satin clutch from Bottega Veneta. Still I admire how on earth she is capable of walking, without falling, in such high heels on cobbles. Unbelievable. Really takes some practice. Now you might think I have forgot all about her jewellery, of course I haven't but I simply do not know a thing about them only that nor bracelet or earrings are new. Both make a great combo with the colourful dress. Really nice outfit!

FSR: Denmark's Best CSR Reporting 2016

Friday, September 9th

Crown Princess Mary was present at the presentation of FSR -Danish Auditors' awards within Denmark's best CSR reporting taking place at Børsen, Copenhagen. 1 2 3 1

In a splendid mood the Crown Princess arrived to Børsen in Copenhagen to attend the presentation of FSR's Denmark's best CSR reporting 2016, something she has attended a couple of times before. The award is given to highlight Danish companies who are working professionally to communicate about their social responsibility (CSR -Corporate Social Responsibility) in their annual report. From first raw the Crown Princess listened to a couple of speeches. Before she announced this years two winners Mary entered the stage and gave a with some very important points. With flowers and congratulations A.P. Møller-Mærks won the CSR Award 2016 for larger companies and Danske Spil won the award as a medium-sized company. Looking at their faces and reaction I think it was a great honor for both companies to win. And of course; congratulations from me as well! CSR has become a very important strategy for many companies and with this award they are rewarded for their hard work which differently pays off.

Like a shining start Mary was dressed in a powder pink Prada dress I've wanted to see in years. Think the last time we "saw" it was when Prince Nikolai was confirmed in 2013 and at the time we really didn't got to see much of it, only a glimpse. So it's quite an old dress featuring the most incredible details. If you haven't already noticed it then take a look at the white lace detail in the hemline. A really lovely dress! And the way she accessorized her outfit with rose quartz Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings and a pair of pink patent leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi I have to say that this truly impressed me. Really an outstanding outfit. I have alway loved when clothes and accessories are matching in colour -here we have a perfect example. The powder pink colour looks looks beautiful next to Mary's dark brown hair. For a moment I want you to notice her gorgeous makeup! Fair skin, glossy lips and dark brown eye makeup, here. Complimenting the rest of look beautifully. Styled with a beige Naledi Copenhagen clutch, the (rather) expensive golden Cartier bracelet such as a couple of other Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelets I'm sure you can't be anything else than impressed. A delicate way of dressing for an afternoon in company with some of Denmark's top businesses. Maybe a bit too much for a usual day a work, but of course this wasn't a usual day at work -at least not for us.

Charity Performance in Bellahøj

Thursday, September 8th

Crown Princess Mary attended as patron charity performance to help the Kidney Association in Bellahøj.

This is one of these visits that seems more like a private event or am I just the only one having that in mind? The way she interact with the children and is all relaxed. Even her outfit radiates "casual". More about that a little later. Surrounded by elephants, clowns and lots of kids she attended a charity performance to help the Kidney Association, which she is patron of, with help from circus Dannebrog in Bellahøj. From the pictures I have seen the Crown Princess really seems to enjoy herself, so did the kids. Lots of fun, colourful costumes and impressive tricks was on the agenda -all with the kids in focus. For sure I'm not the only one who have seen the incredibly sweet photos of Mary and the three year old boy feeding the elephants. It really does not get any better. Seems like they all had a wonderful day in favor of Kidney Association.

I simply adore her quite casual look! A great way to match a bell-shaped blouse with slim trousers, which by the way is an old pair from Hugo Boss. If I'm correct Mary share these with Queen Letizia of Spain, right? Really like the texture of these trousers. So we already knew about the trousers but the blouse is brand new. Trying to identify it; I came across brands like Zara and a reader even suggested Ganni. Non of them seemed to be the right one. Now it has been found at Étoile Isabel Marant (thanks to Kate). Don't you just love it? The laser cut details, neckline and cuffs. A really nice blouse I'm sure we will see again, maybe with a pencil skirt? Going for blue accessories she had chosen both navy blue wedges (we also have seen before but a pair I have never really been able to ID) and of course her bluish Jerome Dreyfuss clutch which I'm very pleased to see again, here. Looks great along with the rest of her outfit. Like the mix between several designers style in this one look. What makes it look a bit more casual is all the bracelets from among others Dulong Fine Jewelry and Cartier. Very impressed of the way of wearing a pair of "business" looking trousers with a more casual -I tend to say bohemian- blouse. What makes this outfit brilliant is the way she wears it with confidence.

10th Anniversary for SRHR

Crown Princess Mary attended, as guest of honor, the 10th anniversary of the Parliamentary Intergroup Network for SRHR -Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. 1

It was as guest of honor the Crown Princess attended the 10th anniversary celebration of the Parliamentary Intergroup Network for SRHR -Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights which took place at Snapstinget at Christiansborg castle, CopenhagenThe network was established, in 2006, to ensure a continuous and nonpartisan focus on sexual and reproductive health and rights both in Denmark and abroad. Both current and former members gathered for the reception. After a couple of speeches, a little to both drink and eat the anniversary was celebrated in a very innovative way (if you ask me) with a quiz on intergroup network and human rights. The winning team was given a bouquet of flowers -and no, Mary wasn't on that team. Seems like the quiz was a great way to talk about the essence; the work of SRHR.

Usually September is the time when we start wearing trousers, light sweaters and tights because of the weather but from one second to another the late summer returned to Denmark and it's just amazing! Summer and sun means a few more days with floral printed dresses and shorts. For sure I'm not the only Dane who welcome one more week of summer. The splendid weather may be the reason why Mary was dressed in white from head to toe. I have always loved how she manages to wear regular legged trousers, makes her look taller and matched with the rather bohemian blouse it just looks really great! The blouse reminds me a lot of a Isabel Marant blouse of hers, but this is really the only suggestion I have about where it could be from. Do you have any ideas? A very beautiful blouse featuring lots of incredible embroidery. Embracing the bohemian look she wore a few bracelets on each wrist from both Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry -the same who created the rose quartz earrings. A great way Mary chose to style her plain white outfit was with a pair of snake print pointed pumps I think could be from Gianvito Rossi. We have seen them a couple of times before but I haven't been able to ID them yet because I have got no quality photo showing them clearly. Sadly I can't tell you anything more than this. Hopefully, with a little help from you, I will be able to tell you some more. Don't know if you noticed it but at the arrival she wore some kind of clutch and I believe it could be her Naledi Copenhagen clutch. Let me know what you think. How would I describe her look? -calm, delicate and casual yet polished.

Dinner at Amalienborg

Tuesday, September 6th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary hosted a dinner at Frederik VIIIs palace, Amalienborg, for the Mary Foundation's presidium.

This was actually something I had been looking forward to since I discovered the Crown Prince couple was hosing a dinner for the Mary Foundation's presidium. What I hadn't discovered was the fact that the dinner was taking place at Frederik VIIIs palace which means that the chances is very little that we will actually get any pictures. I was right. The dinner took place behind closed doors. Fair enough, they need privacy as we all do. And then, suddenly a photo appeared on my screen (the one you see above). A beautiful photo of a beautiful decorated tabled, taken by the Crown Princess.

About six or seven years ago Frederik VIIIs place was renovated and right before the couple and their at that time, two children moved in in 2010, it was open for public visitors -I was one of them! I've probably already told you this but the reason why I tell you this now is because I've seen the Royal Dining Hall in real life and it is simply magnificent! Mirrors covering the walls, huge chandeliers hanging down from the ceiling and golden details wherever you look. A wonderful room for dinner. We were not allowed to take pictures, unfortunately, but I remember it as if it was yesterday.

The Official Flag Day 2016

Monday, September 5th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were present at the Flag Day ceremony for international deployed military personnel, veterans and those lost in action in Copenhagen. 1

September 5th was an emotional day for both the Crown Prince couple and all attending. It was a day filled with lots of memories and thoughts to those who deployed military personnel, veterans and those lost in action. Both the parade at the Parliament Square, the church service in Holmen's church and wreaths presentation at the monument at Kastellet was moving for everyone. It has become a tradition for the Crown Prince couple to attend this memorable day to show their sympathy and respect to families as well as deployed military personnel. Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, as well as many other politicians, also showed their respect by attending the official Flag Day 2016. The official Flag Day was held across the country.

Paying his respect on such as special day the Crown Prince was dressed in a black uniform and Mary was wearing matching colours; a black and white, reused, Ralph Lauren dress along with an old black belted jacket which I have never been able to identify. The belt is an old classics I've found a fashion designer Céline quite a long time ago. Styling the black/white outfits with beige accessories she had created a very classic and polished look. Both dress, shoes and straw hat so much reminds me of a late 50s outfit. I do not know if I ever managed to confirmed that her hat is a Susanne Juul creation but the design is very much like hers. Everything, except from the clutch, has been seen at previous events. Talking about the clutch then I'm stilling trying to find out more about it. The first name that crossed my mine (and yours as well) was Anya Hindmarch. Let me know what you have found or your ideas where I should take a look. Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen is the creator of two of her diamond bands beautifully decorating her right hand. Indicated by the red soles you already know that the pumps are coming from Christian Louboutin. Non of you need further information on those. Only changing gloves, from beige to black, Mary spend her day along with Frederik honoring the hero's of Denmark.

Day 2: With the Mary Foundation to Greenland

Tuesday, August 30th

Crown Princess Mary traveled to Greenland with Mary Foundation, from August 29-31st, on occasion of the conference Domestic violence - a shared responsibility

  • 8:55 am. Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of the conference Domestic violence - a shared responsibility
  • 1:30 pm. Crown Princess Mary was present at several work meeting with among others NAKUUSAs Children's Council
  • 4:30 pm. Crown Princess Mary attended the closing of the conference Domestic violence - a shared responsibility

The main reason why the Crown Princess visited Greenland along with the Mary Foundation was to attend the conference entitled Domestic violence - a shared responsibility on domestic violence taking place in Nuuk. The conference is an outcome of a collaboration between the Mary Foundation and Kattunneq. 62% of adult women in Greenland have at some point been exposed to violence and more than a quarter of the Greenlandic children have experienced their mother being exposed to violence, here, which makes it an important problem trying to take of. Opening the conference on Greenlandic, she immediately caught everybody's attention. You find her speech here. Spending her day in Nuuk speaking to some who have experienced domestic violence in their own body. More than once Mary expressed how impressed she was of all those who choose to come clean and tell their stories on a topic that otherwise is regarded a taboo. Break the silence -is an essential part of the Mary Foundations work. I'm sure this was an great experience for all of the participants including Mary herself. She shared a little piece of her trip, here, with the rest of the world.

Well, I do not have to mention that I think the conference and its message is way more important the what she was wearing, though it is a part of who she is. We have had this discussion quite a few times before and you already know my point of view. So. In a classic and simple navy blue Hugo Boss dress featuring a little peplum, I think this was the perfect to wear for a conference with such on important message -lets do something to end domestic violence. I learned about the dress at Royals and Fashion, thanks. At the arrival she was kept warm in her new Jesper Høvring coat from his Great Greenland AW2016 collection. Her outfit was styled with a couple of favourite bracelets (Dulong Fine Jewelry and Cartier), white pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, the dazzling Ralph Lauren bag and, of course, a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps. A beautiful way of dressing when you need something a little more sophisticated but still looking chic.

...and this was end of her Greenland-trip.
