Day 2. Visiting Greenland

24 August 2022

One reason for Crown Princess Mary's visit in Greenland, was to attend the conference "Together about Grief". The conference focuses on how important the conversation in fact is for people, when they loose someone. It is essentail for people to talk about their grief. Crown Princess Mary gave a speech at the event (here). She included her own experience with grief from when she lost her mother in the 90's.

A visit at the UNLEASH Regional Innovation Lab Geenland 2022 followed her attendance at the Together about Grief conference. It took place at Ilisimatusarfik - the University of Greenland in Nuuk. More than 200 young people were gathered to participate the UNLEASH Regional Innovation Lab Geenland 2022 - an event that made a ground for an open conversation about innovative solutions to create a more sustainable future.

A small video was posted on social media as a sum-up of her trip with some of Crown Princess Mary's private photos from the visit (here). She also made a small interview with Billed Bladet's journalist and a couple of photos were taken (here).

Mary wore a super chic outfit on her second day in Nuuk, Greenland. A very professional-looking Crown Princess we have. She had chosen a complete reused set of clothes. The fine navy blue blazer is an Imperial Fashion design. Mary first wore both blazer and trousers, when visiting the "Boss Ladies" in June 2022 (here). The identity of the trousers were discussed. To me, they are still unidentified. It is no the thing with the blouse. It is an old one from JOSEPH. She wore it - among others - in 2015 (here).

She accessorized the beautiful look with a few pieces of jewellery as well. The two golden necklaces and the 'M' pendants are all creations by the talented brand Dulong Fine Jewelry. If you take a closer look, you will see that Mary also embraced the outfit by wearing a golden bangle featuring multicoloured stones and a very delicate ring. Both pieces are unknown in identity.

We get a glimpse of a pair og navy blue suede boots. I have not been about to find them (yet), but they look new to me. The same is similar to other pair of shoes in her wardrobe, but these look brand new. The shape is really amazing.

Day 1. Visiting Greenland

23 August 2022

Crown Princess Mary has visited Greenland on a number of occasions. Also quite a few times along with the Mary Foundation. Among others in 2016, when she traveled to Greenland to attend the conference "Domestic Violence - a shared responsibility".

On Tuesday August 23rd, she took the trip from Copenhagen to Nuuk to participate several events focusing on some of the issues Greenland is facing - like plastic polluting the environment.

The visit last for only two days. On her first day, she first visited Aqqaluk - a home for children to spend their spare time. Here they can engage themselves in several activities. Crown Princess Mary and the children participated in activities arranged by WWF World Wide Fund for Nature. The Crown Princess has been patron for WWF World Wide Fund for Nature for a couple of years now. Since 2020.

Later that day, she visited Mælkebøtten. The institution work to improve better well-being amongst children and young people in Greenland. It is done through courage, tolerance and responsibility. She made her visit to Mælkebøtten along with the Mary Foundation.

When arriving to Nuuk, Mary was beautiful dressed in a very casual outfit. I really like that she had chosen something this simple. In genereal, I love when she is wearing these casual outfits. Makes her more "one of us". The beautiful coat is an Massimo Dutti design. Princess Isabella as even borrowed her mothers coat (here). Mary matched it with a reused Ralph Lauren knitted sweater in a very lovely light brown colour. Underneath, we get a glimpse of a plain white button-down shirt. The cool jeans has been identified by UFO No More (here) as Hugo Boss. A silhouette that is a personal favourite of mine.

When visiting Aqqaluk, she participated gathering trash outside in wind and rain, which is (probably) why she chose to add a Mackage cape. I learned about this new addition to her wardrobe at Royal Fashion Police (here) as well. Both the tweed cape and brown knitted scarf are reused pieces. Actually, the cape was first seen worn by Crown Prince Frederik in 2018 (here). It has never been identified. The scarf is a gift from when she first visited Greenland in 2004.

Mary also embraced the look with a few pieces of jewellery - and a hair-tie from Kknekki. Both yellow diamond studs and the elegant diamond ring are still to be found. She has worn them before, but we still need some more information. The golden necklace is from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

We was lucky to see two pairs of shoes during the day. At the arrival, we get a pip of an old pair of ankle boots from Prada. She first wore them in 2020, when attending the 50th anniversary of the Lillebælts Bridge (here). The other pair is brand new boots from Penelope Chilvers.

SailGP 2022

19 August 2022

This weekend, ni nations are gathered in the Ocean Harbor in Copenhagen to participate the global sailing championship, SailGP. The most prestiges sailing event. On Friday, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary met the Danish team, who are participating the team. They had a little chat with the participants and posed for a photo with the team.

Mary was simply dressed in a pair of dark blue shorts, a matching t-shirt and a black windbreaker. I guess, it could be a promotion jacket for the race. The same goes with the cap. It is a Sail Racing promotion cap for the Danish team. We also get a glimpse of her wearing her beloved white sneakers from Veja and brand new sunglasses from SunGod. I learned about the shades at Royal Fashion Police (here). Somehow, the perfect match for the rest of Mary's outfit, when visiting the Danish participants of SailGP 2022.

20 August 2022

The previous day, the Crown Prince Couple paid a visit to the Danish Team participating SailGP 2022  the Ocean Habor in Copenhagen. The following day, the couple came back for a test race. Crown Prince Frederik represented the Danish team and Crown Princess Mary raced with the Australian team.

... the Australian team won. Watch this video and see how the Crown Princess actually participated the race (here).

For the race, both Crown Prince Frederik and Mary were dressed in "traditional" sailing clothes - a wet suit, a vest, helmet and some security gear. We get a glimpse of Mary wearing one of her golden bangles as well.

I guess, a pair of sunglasses are favorable, when participating a sailing race due to the wind. Mary wore some new blue shades. They have been found at SunGod. A closer look also revealed that she stunned in Asics sneakers.

Odense Flower Festival 2022

18 August 2022

The last ten years, Crown Princess Mary has been patron of Odense Flower Festival taking place in Odense. The Crown Princess was surprised with one flower for each year as patron during a little ceremony. She was given the ten flowers by ballet school students from The Royal Theater Ballet School Odense.

Odense Flower Festival celebrated the "adventures garden" this year with the theme "The Adventures Garden". A wonderful theme due to the fact that Odense Flower Festival is also part of the H.C. Andersen Festivals. Denmark's most famous writer of adventures.

Crown Princess Mary gave the opening speech. Usually, the Crown Princess also name a new rose with christening it in champagne. This years rose was created by Mayte Garcia. She was married with the famous singer Prince. He dedicated a song to her ("The Most Beautiful Girl in the World"). Therefor the rose was given the name "The Most Beautiful".

Mary has been patron for Odense Flower Festival for 10 years. During the ten years, she has worn the most incredible outfits. I gathered a few:

Every year is all exciting. What will she wear for this magical event? On Thursday, Mary had chosen to wear a reused dress from Erdem. Last month, when Denmark guested Tour de France, a reception was planned on board Dannebrog. Due to an awful shooting, the royal family decided to cancel the reception. This was when Mary first wore the Erdem dress.

At the festival, she embraced the style with simple golden jewellery and brand new brown heeled sandals from Michel Vivien. I learned about the shoes from Heaven and UFO No More. They truly deserve another look. They are so delicate and fine. Her jewellery are a mix of Rebekka Notkin and Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Usually, I think Mary's outfit are a bit more "laud" at the opening of the flower festival, but I sincerely like the simplicity of this years look.
