60 years of anniversary for 'Granbohus'

Tuesday, May 29th

After a week of celebration for her husband, who just turned 50 on May 26th, the Crown Princess is back at work. She began her week with an anniversary visit in Fredensborg. Here the Crown Princess visited Granbohus that celebrated 60 years of anniversary. Ten years ago she visited the institution on its 50th anniversary, here. It was a happy reunion, when she arrived to Granbohus which is a vacation and relief institution for home-grown children, adolescents and adults with physical and/or mental disabilities. At the arrival she was warmly welcomed by mayor of Fredensborg Municipality Thomas Lykke Pedersen and leader of Granbohus Thor Simony. Such as all the young people and children who welcomed the Crown Princess. It was a wonderful and sincere sight. Music was played, speeches were held and everybody seemed to have a brilliant time.

Visiting Granbohus, Mary was wearing a brand new dress. Heaven managed to find it at Paul & Joe, which seems to be a new favourite of hers. The dress features sheer sleeves with floral applications matching the rest of the dress. She embraced the style by also wearing reused wedges from Tod's. We have already seen these shoes quite many times before, here, here, here. I really use to like them, but somehow they looks a bit odd with this dress. I would love to have seen a pair of colorful pumps or even ballet flats would do. Am I the only one with this thought? What I do like is the fact that she has chosen to wear light blue jewellery from Pomellato and a golden necklace from Orit Elhanati. Guess she could have been wearing her golden Cartier bracelet as well. What really made my day about this outfit is her spirit. Her sincere commitment and warmhearted behaviour is wonderful to see.

-7:00 am-
Already in the morning on May 26th, the royal house posted a few new photos of the Crown Prince and his family. The new official photo of Crown Prince Frederik you find to your right. What you see above is the second photo posted. Both moments are captured by talented photographer Franne Voigt. It is not the first he has taken wonderful photos of the Crown Prince couple, here.

During the day, it was also announced that a brand new book was published on occasion of the Crown Prince's birthday, here. It shows photos of the Crown Prince from his life. The book is a gift from his wife, who, together with four different photographers, have found and collected memories in this new book. Some of them are also from their private collection. The book comes in a limited edition. I already purchased myself a copy of the book.

-12:00 pm-
It was around noon when the Crown Prince stepped out on the balcony at Amalienborg. Just like his mother has done a million times before. With a huge smile on his face, he seemed overwhelmed by all the Danes attending this little moment of history. Shortly after, the Crown Prince was surrounded by his wife, all four children and his mother the Queen. 'Happiness' is probably the best word to describe how the Crown Prince couple looked standing on the balcony. While Crown Prince Frederik and his two sons looked handsome in each their fitting suit; the Crown Princess and the two daughters  stunned in beautiful dresses. Crown Princess Mary met the Danes wearing a reused Vilshenko dress and paired it with drop earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Love the detail that all three "girls" embraced the same beautiful hairstyle.

Queen Margrethe hosted a gala dinner on occasion of Crown Prince Frederik's 50th birthday on May 26th. Family and friends for near and far, were invited to celebrate the Crown Prince. The dinner took place at Christiansborg Castle in Copenhagen in the room with all the amazing tapestries and checkered floor. Normally, the Queen arrive last but this time, the Crown Prince couple took that honor. They arrive to Christiansborg by carriage. The couple drove from Amalienborg, across the city to Christiansborg. Drivning in carriage across the city, gave the couple the opportunity to share another moment with the Danes. Thousands of Danes showed up to get a glimpse of the beautiful couple.

-8:00 pm-
Arriving to Christiansborg, the Crown Prince couple were warmly welcomed by Queen Margrethe, here, -and a handfull of journalists and photographers. It was a true pleasure to see the three of them together. Then all 400 guests were welcomed with a handshake, before dinner was served in the Banquet hall. The Queen welcomed all with the first of three speeches. Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen also gave a great speech in honor of the Crown Prince's birthday. Then, in her new beaded lace gown from Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen and shiny jewelry with soft pink Prada pumps, the Crown Princess gave her outstanding speech. She is indeed an amazing speaker and this speech was the best I have ever heard. Warm, sincere, perfect in public but still personal. It had everything a speech need to become a succes. Around midnight, dancing was declared and the music played while the guests enjoyed a dance with their loved ones.

The official celebration of Crown Prince Frederik ended on Saturday evening with a gala show broadcasted live on Danish television. So around 8:00 pm local time, the Crown Prince couple arrived to Royal Arena in Copenhagen along with all four children. More than 12,500 people were gathered in the arena, ready to celebrate the Crown Prince and enjoy a great show, which lasted over two hours. I watched the show and all family members seemed to sincerely enjoy themselves. Prince Christian and his three sibiling's were interviewed and told the most sweet things about their father -like he always laughs about his own jokes, that he is very much loved by his children and they think their father would like a travel with his family as present for his birthday. All of it made him smile and laugh. Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and Prince Felix also attended the show, such as Countess Alexandra did. Crown Princess Mary's sister also attended, as at the gala dinner the day earlier.
At the show, the Crown Princess dazzled in a bright pink creation from Etro. Heaven manages to identify it. Beautifully she accessorized it with a matching pink Carlend Copenhagen clutch, Aquazzura lace-up pumps and new earrings. She embraced the style with curly hair and modest makeup.

-May, 20th-
A brand new documentary called My Way was broadcasted on TV2 in Danish television Sunday evening. A TV crew has followed the Crown Prince family for a couple of years, showing the Crown Prince and his family at official event and on more private occasions. From my personal point of view, this is indeed a remarkable portrait of His Royal Highness. Even the filming techniques are outstanding. I sincerely hope you had the chance to watch the documentary or at least some of these few clips published, here.

Early Monday morning the Crown Prince share the first of many pictures from him participating Royal Run, herehereherehere. The event took place in five different Danish cities (Aalborg, Aarhus, Esbjerg, Odense, Copenhagen) across the country. And what a massive support the event had from more than 70,000 Danes participating the run. It was simply impressive. The Crown Prince expressed how sincere he was for the support. He was also supported by his wife, who also happen to run 10 km in Odense, here. The Crown Princess and their four children joined a mile run in Copenhagen before she went to Odense, here.

They day was all about celebrating the Crown Prince. Among other places, they visited Njord Gin and Film City Aarhushere. The Crown Princess dazzled wearing an old Temperley London lace dress with a pair of nude Prada pumps and matching Naledi Copenhagen clutch. Think her new Susanne Juul fascinator amazed most of us. She embraced the style of her new hairpiece with earrings from the Ruby Parure, an Orit Elhanati necklace and Cartier bracelet.

On their way home from Aarhus, a picture was taken of the couple on board Dannebrog, here. To me it shows a happy couple enjoying themselves. I'm not quite sure why they are all dressed up, but nevertheless the Crown Prince looks smashing in his black uniform next to the Crown Princess in her floral dream from Giambattista Valli, here, white trousers and beautiful Annikat earrings, here.

The 25th anniversary of Crown Prince Frederik Fund

Friday, May 18th

It was on occasion of Crown Prince Frederik's 50th birthday and the 25th anniversary of Crown Prince Frederik Fund that the royal couple hosted a dinner at Frederik VIIIs palace, here. Earlier, the Crown Prince attended the presentation of scholarships which were handed over at Christiansborg Castle in Copenhagen. The Crown Prince Frederik Fund was a gift from Danish-Americans on occasion of his 25th birthday during while studying at Harvard University. He was also given the opportunity to meet previous recipients of the scholarship, which by the way, aim to support students of social sciences for one year study at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in Boston.

At first I was sure the dinner took place in private behind closed doors. But then suddenly a few pictures showed up after all. They were published on the Danish royal house. It indicates that, more or less, it was a private event. Nevertheless, Mary was beautifully dressed in one of her reused Temperley London evening gowns. She first wore this magnificent gown at a dinner at Christiansborg Castle in 2016, here. At that she matched it with her auction-bought tiara and black accessories. This time she paired the gown with chandelier earrings featuring Aquamarine blue stones and diamonds. They go way back till when she first arrived to Denmark. Since then, she has worn them numerous times, here, here, here & here. They are told to be a creation by Dulong Fine Jewelry, former Marianne Dulong. But I have never been able to confirm that information. The earrings have always stunned me. She embraced the style by wearing a couple of bracelets from among others Cartier and black pumps I think. It is worth noticing her beautiful hairstyle. Personally I am completely in love with this hairstyle and she makes it look even more beautiful with her amazing personality.

A media competition & the Crown Princess Scholarship

Thursday, May 17th

On Thursday morning, the Crown Princess arrived to Politikens House and was in a splendid mood. She was about to attend the presentation of the project Media Competition 2018 and its winners. More than 500 school classes participated the competition and have all created storied with the theme 'Love yourself -body and ideals'. The participants both focused on bullying, gender, eating disorders etc. Music was played and everybody had a great time -even the Crown Princess made a few moves to the music. Following, eight school classes were announced winners of the competition and the Crown Princess later entered the stage to congratulate all of them with a symbolic speech.

Attending the presentation of winner of the Media Competition 2018 was not the only event in her calendar that day. The Crown Princess also handed over her Crown Princess Mary Scholarship at University of Copenhagen. These scholarships are each year given to two exchange students from University of Copenhagen's Australian collaborators on occasion of these students stay in Denmark. Since the royal couples wedding, her scholarship has been handed over to two students each year. This year Tennille Louise Vitagliano from Sydney University and Max Kausman from Monash University were given the prestigious scholarships, personally handed over by the Crown Princess herself.

Seems like summer has finally arrived to Denmark and it is about time we get to see some real spring outfits. Like the one she wore presenting The Crown Princess Mary Scholarship and congratulations the winners of Media Competition 2018. She had chosen a brand new white blouse and reused beige trousers. From Royals & Fashion I learned that her new blouse is from Reiss. Think this is the first time we get to see her in their designs. Right? Mary then matched the Reiss-creation with old Massimo Dutti trousers. These are originally part of a suit. So the trousers comes with a matching blazer as seen in Japan on the 5th day, here. Kate is the one who made me aware of the identity of the trousers. A first I thought they were dusty pink. I was completely wrong. She embraced the style of a really chic spring look with jewellery from among others Dulong Fine Jewelry, Cartier and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Then we also got to see that Pico hairclip again as worn during the first day of Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2018, here. Love the idea of hairaccessories. Personally, I have come to love bows and hairclips like Mary's. Her pointed python pumps are from Gianvito Rossi. The new clutch bag is more a mystery to me. Can't seem to find out where it is from. Any ideas?

-Official opening-
Copenhagen Fashion Summit has been an annual event since 2009. Now the Crown Princess is patron of the summit. As front promoter of the event she attended the summit on its official opening day last Wednesday. When she arrived to DR's concert house in Copenhagen, CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Summit Eva Kruse welcomed her with a great smile. From what I know, the two of them has become quite good friends. The Crown Princess also attended a pre-event the day before, here. At the official opening ceremony she entered the stage and gave the opening speech. A great speech, here. According to the royal house website, Crown Princess Mary watched the presentation of Taking the pulse of the fashion industry and the following dialog Digitization and the future of fashion.

What an outfit. Somehow I do not know how she manages to surprise me after all these years. I know we can expect almost anything from her and still I am overwhelmed and surprised. I absolutely love what Mary wore during the official opening of Copenhagen Fashion Summit. The combination of colour and textures are just great. She had matched a plain white button-down with a brand new jacquard skirt in green. Actually, the skirt is originally a dress and it comes from Hennes & Mauritz (collection: H&M Conscious Exclusive). A clever way to transform your old dresses into something new. I feel in love with this match so much that I had to tried myself. I paired a green pleated skirt with a v-neck button-down and black oxfords -and pink glitter socks. That works beautifully as well. Mary then accessorized her summit-outfit with green Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings, a Orit Elhanati necklace and Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelets. She was also wearing her ostrich clutch from Naledi Copenhagen and nude Prada pumps. Note that the earrings are not new. She has worn them before a several different occasions, among other things in 2014 at the annual Day of Research, here.

-Dinner-
As part of the official opening of Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2018, a dinner was held in the evening. This took place at the prestigious and beautiful Hotel D'Angleterre in Copenhagen. It was as guest of honor that Crown Princess Mary attended the dinner. COO in Nike Eric Sprunk and CEO of Global Fashion Agenda Eva Kruse welcomed the Crown Princess at the arrival. The pictures shows a Crown Princess in a great spirit, really enjoying herself during the evening.

We have already seen the most incredible outfits the last two days and that has amazed me so much. The look she presented to us at the dinner is also so beautiful. Mary dazzled in a reused white creation made by David Andersen -a very talented Danish designer. Do you remember having seen the dress before? First time was when she attended dinner on occasion of Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2014, here. Then a year later she wore it once again on a trip to Germany, here. For years this has been a personal favourite. Loves how the shape looks on her and the match of different fabrics. It has so many interesting details. As seen before, Mary embraced the style with earrings from Annikat and a matching pink Carlend Copenhagen clutch. White and pink is just a wonderful combo, don't you think? Her other jewellery are from Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry. She also wore a pair of new shoes -patent leather peep toe pumps with an ankle strap. They have been found at Prada.

Day 1. Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2018

Tuesday, May 15th

Tuesday morning the Crown Princess arrived to DR Concert House in Copenhagen to attend the opening of Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2018. The summit is an international conference focusing on sustainable fashion and has the Crown Princess as patron. It first took place back in 2009. At the arrival she was warmly welcomed by Eva Kruse and given flowers from the sweetest flower girl. As part of the opening, EU Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager gave the speech. Usually the Crown Princess herself use to address the opening speech, but not this time. She listened to Margrethe Vestager's words from first raw. The Crown Princess also payed a visit to the Innovation Forum exhibition, where companies presented different sustainable fashion solutions.

It is not the first time Mary has attended Copenhagen Fashion Summit wearing stunning and magnificent outfits. These ones from 2012, here, are some of my personal favourites.  And this one, here, from 2017 is also incredible. We never really know what to expect from her because every time we get surprised but her choices when it comes to clothes and accessories. This year she dazzled in a reused creation from Designers Remix. It goes back to the fashion summit in 2014, here. The dress is sustainably made of 100 % recycled polyester from plastic bottles, here. Personally, I am convinced that the dress from 2014 has been altered into a skirt because she's wearing a reused black blouse from Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. To me an alteration is the only possibility on how to wear it with that black blouse. I requested the designers and are still waiting for an answer. What do you think? As accessories she had chosen earrings (and a ring) from Pomellato, an Orit Elhanati necklace, bracelets from Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry. A really beautiful combination. She also embraced the style by wearing a reused suede clutch from Hugo Boss, first worn at a swimming event, here, and baby blue Gianvito Rossi pumps. These was worn during the second day in Japan, here. I am sure you remember them. Another thing I want you to notice is her hairstyle. I missed these updo's for so long. She even added a little hairclip from Pico.

Annual meeting with the Mary Foundation

Wednesday, May 9th

For years it has been a tradition for the Crown Princess and her foundation, to gather all collaborators and partners for an annual meeting. As last year, the meeting took place at Frederik VIIIs palace at Amalienborg in Copenhagen. The gathering makes it possible to talk about the Mary Foundations results from the previous year and discuss future plans. So around noon, the Crown Princess took  a stand and initiated the meeting with a few words as chairwoman of the foundation.

At the meeting Mary had chosen to embrace a summer chic outfit. Kinds relaxed but classy at the same time. Only very few photos from the meeting have been released, which makes it a little difficult to tell for sure what she was wearing. First glimpse of the new blue blouse made me think of Hugo Boss -so did a friend of mine. Shortly after, Heaven managed to identify Mary's new blouse as a Victoria Beckham design. We agreed that it is the first time she has ever worn anything from this particular designer. I really fancy its sleeves and experimenting neckline. When it comes to the bottom part it becomes a bit more troubled. Still I am sure to have identified what she is wearing to match the blue blouse. In my opinion Mary wore her reused creamy skirt from DAY Birger Et Mikkelsen from the launch of Loving Spoken, here, and at Day of Research 2016, here. Then I am a hundred procent sure she embraced the style by wearing a new raffia belt from Prada. As other accessories she had chosen jewellery from both Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry.

'Splendour of Power' at Koldinghus

On occasion of the 750th anniversary of Koldinghus, here, a new exhibition was opened officially by Queen Margrethe, Princess Benedikte and Queen Anne-Marie. The three sisters attended the opening on May 5th and it was celebrated with great joy, here. The exhibition is called 'Splendour of Power' and tells the story of Denmarks power and riches from 1268 till today by showing royal jewellery, medals and orders. Pieces have been borrowed from among others the Danish, Swedish and British royal houses. The exhibition counts both tiaras, medals, crowns, rings and much more. Pictures of a few pieces from the collection have been published by the Danish royal house, hereBefore the opening on May 5th, pictures have been shared on the royal family's Instagram. Those are the pictures seen below. Hypnotic, right? The Midnight Tiara worn by the Crown Princess is among the exhibited pieces and its creators have proudly shared the news, herehere & here.

The exhibition can be seen from May 6th to September 30th 2018 at the Museum at Koldinghus, here. I plan to visit it myself very soon and I can't wait. I'll keep you posted.

Day 3. Business promotion in Seattle

Saturday, May 5th

The Crown Princess has been visiting Seattle from May 3rd on occasion of the launch of a Danish art- and culture business promotion. She has been accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Anders Samuelsen all along. While visiting Seattle, the Crown Princess has both attended an opening ceremony at the National Museum, here, visited the University of Washington and stepped by the Novo Nordisk Research Center, here. On evening of the second day she also attended a gala dinner, here. During the last day in Seattle she had just one official event left -to attend the official opening of a new building at the Nordic Museum. She arrived in a great mood with a large smile on her face. Still in a cheerful the Crown Princess entered the stage and gave a speech as part of the official opening.

On her last day, Mary amazed the world in a navy blue dress. It goes back to a previous event about a year ago when she attended the European Emergency Medical Services 2017 (EMS2017), here. Do you remember her wearing the dress before? At the time I was not able to identify. A similar model was found at Stella McCarntey. It turns out completely wrong. Vionnet (collection: 2016) is the designer of Mary's incredible blue dress. Think this is the only dress, what we know of, that Mary's has from that designer. Hope it will not be the last time because Vionnet has some incredible designs.

where it came from. Nor do I now. But a similar dress has been found at Stella McCartney, here. I can't tell if McCartney is in fact the designer of Mary's navy blue dream of a dress. I just know they look very much alike. As back in 2017 she embraced the style wearing a rather large brooch, white pearl jewellery from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a golden Orit Elhanati necklace. She also wore her stunning Cartier bracelet, which probably is a gift from her husband on occasion of their anniversary a few years ago. At least I like the thought. Mary wore a pair of beige Prada pumps as the day earlier. Perfectly dressed as she is, she styled the outfit with a matching ostrich clutch from Naledi Copenhagen. What made this outfit so beautiful and special to me, is her amazing smile and confidence.

The Crown Princess has already spend her first day in Seattle as part of an art- and culture business promotion. While traveling the Crown Princess is accompanied with Minister of Foreign Affairs Anders Samuelsen. She arrived to Seattle in the afternoon on Thursday. Around noon on Friday the Crown Princess arrived to University of Washington, here, to participate a debate about empowerment of women and economic constraints. The debate is made in collaboration with University of Washington, the International Center of Research for Women and the Danish Embassy. While visiting the university, She was in a splendid mood as the evening before, where she attended the official opening of the business promotion at the Nordic Museum, here. The Crown Princess was given the opportunity to say a few words at the arrangement and she did. With a humble "good morning" she spoke about empowerment of women for the other attendances.

A few hours later, she payed a visit to the Novo Nordisk Research Center, here. At the research center she was warmly welcomed with flowers, smiles and handshakes. Especially, the little flower girl seemed to have had the best day of her life meeting the Danish Crown Princess. During her visit, she was given a guided tour around the facilities and told about everything she was shown. Among other things, the Crown Princess was informed about the company's efforts to combat overweight.

On the second day in Seattle, Mary dazzled wearing an amazing blue outfit. She showed up in a brand new printed dress identified by Kate as Diane Von Furstenberg. It is so beautiful and classy. She matched the new dress with a reused blue coat. The coat was first worn in 2017, while visiting 'Værket' in Copenhagen, here. Think it works a bit better with this outfit. What do you think?  Kate shared a Prada coat with me that looks pretty much alike the one Mary was wearing. Take a look and tell me what you think. She embraced the chic Seattle-style with Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen rings, a golden Cartier bracelet, even a few bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry. As other accessories Mary wore a pair of beige pointed pumps from Prada worn on several occasions before such as the Prada handbag. I have always loved when she wears darker and lighter colours as a match. Just like she did this second day in Seattle.

The day before she had also visited the museum, where she attended the opening of the art- and culture business promotion, here. The Crown Princess arrived in a splendid mood on this magnificent sunny evening. Along with representatives from all other nordic countries, she was given a guided tour around the museums exhibitions. The exhibitions shows nordic countries history and culture and their influence on the United States. As part of the event the Crown Princess also gave a applaud.

Mary has already shown us so many beautiful and breathtaking outfits during this trip to Seattle. At the gala dinner at Nordic Museum we got one more. She was glowing in a brand new black and white dress. This has been identified by Heaven as a Preen creation. Looks like the white part is removable. A perfect dress for someone like Mary who loves to play with her clothes. I simply can't wait to see how she's going to wear the dress next time we see it. She had chosen very little and simple accessories to match her outfit -a golden Cartier bracelet, white pearl ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry and of course, as you all recognize, her wedding earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. I am thrilled to see her wearing these again. Seems like a long time ago since we have seen these stunning earrings. You missed them too? Mary also embraced the style with glitter pumps from Pure Lopez and a Sergio Rossi clutch. She wore this combo just a few weeks ago, when attending the Danish Rainbow Award -AXGIL, herein Copenhagen. Love how she kept everything polished to makes the dress stand out with such elegance. A classy look that will never go wrong.
