31 March 2025

King Frederik and Queen Mary have arrived in Paris, France to attend a three-days official state visit.

The couple arrived at the Paris-Orly Airport and were then welcomed by the France Presidential Couple at the Court d'Honneur at Hôtel National des Invalide - also known as Les Invalides.

They were escorted from Les Invalides to the Élysée Pakace for the official welcoming ceremony. The Danish business delegation accompanied the King and Queen.

Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen and the Danish Ambassador in France and Monaco Hanne Fugl Eskjær also attend the visit.

NO outfit will ever surpass this outfit! Nothing. I have many favorite outfits but her outfit at the arrival in Paris earlier today will surpass all of them. Probably also in the future. Mary's new Christian Dior set is marvelous! The style of it is so 1950's. I adore it.

It dosen't end with that because Mary perfectly matched the style with a reused black Jane Taylor hat and smashing sky-high Gianvito Rossi pumps. Not quite sure I would have chosen those heels but it looks great. The Mulberry handbag was such a clever move.

I am sure you noticed her choice in jewellery as well. The stunning white pearl earrings and the matching brooch are both pieces part of the Danish Pearl Poiré Parure. The elegant ring is a custom-made creation from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

We are treated like King's and Queen's at this state visit. Mary's shows all the best of her style. 1950's inspired Dior suits and now this! Her beautiful new blouse has been found at CLEA - a brand new designer in her wardrobe. Mary styled it with a smashing floral silk skirt from Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen. Imagine your design worn at an event like this?! Must be such an honor.

She embraced the outfit with huge golden diamond earrings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen designed by Charlotte Lynggaard - daughter of Lynggaard's founder, Ole Lynggaard. The blue Aquamarine ring goes way back in time but has never been identified. Maybe from an auction?

Her amazing pearl embroidered clutch is from Anya Hindmarch and the fine beige satin pumps are from Gianvito Rossi.

Børsen's 400th anniversary

26 September 2024

Director of Danish Businesses Brian Mikkelsen and Chairman of Danish Business Jens Mathiesen arrived along with the King and Queen to attend Børsen's 400th anniversary.

On April 16th of this year, the iconic building suffered from a massive fire and due to this fire, the anniversary was held at Moltke´s Palace at Amalienborg.

Earlier that day, King Frederik attended the marking of restoring the destroyed Børsen

Børsen was build from around 1619-1640 and worked as a trade building at the time of King Christian IV. The architecture is by Lorenz van Steenwinckel and Hans van Steenwinckel. The building is known for its magnificent spire, which was also destroyed in the fire in April.

What to wear for an 400th anniversary celebration? - a bespoke Lasse Spangenberg creation of course! Mary looked like a movie star celebrating Børsen. She first wore the dress at the 10th anniversary of the Mary Foundation in 2017. Think the dress could have been made for the occasion. Mary also wore it at a gala dinner in 2018 and in 2023 at King Carl Gustaf's Golden Jubilee.

Mary beautifully styled the dress with a black embellished belt. It is not the first time we see this belt (201520182019, 2022). Love this detail!

Investigating her outfit, I find that she was wearing her beloved 'F'-necklace and a huge diamond ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Mary's is customized from the orignial available to purchase. I like how she matched the dress with Amethyst earrings, a bracelet and elegant find. Think it could be from an auction or presents from her husband.

The fine satin box clutch is a reuse from Prada such as the mesh/suede pumps are old ones from Gianvito Rossi. Overall opinion? - ADORABLE

Day 1.

Official state visit from Spain

06 November 2023

Arrival and official welcoming

By invitation from Queen Margrethe, the Spanish King and Queen visited Denmark on November 06-08th. The royal family welcomed the couple at Vilhelm Lauritzen's Terminal at Copenhagen Airport on Monday (here).

Queen Margrethe was accompanied by Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary and Princess Benedikte, when welcoming the King Felipe and Queen Letizia.

The official welcoming ceremony took place at Christiansborg. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen also attended the ceremony.

Prior to the welcoming ceremony at Christiansborg, the Danish and Spanish royals visited Kastellet and later on they were escorted by carriage to Christians VII's Palace at Amalienborg.

Even though we have seen pretty much every single piece of her outfit before, then I think her style was a bit different than we are use to see. I can't really explain it. Think it is the combination of colors and that hat. Would really like to see her wear that new hat with another outfit. Any idea were it is from?

Mary matched a brand new Scanlan Theodore dress with a reused dark green The Fold London wool-blend coat. The color is outstanding. Elegant and delicate. She style it with her amazing studded Valentino pumps. Imagine those in our wardrobe. Sight!

As other accessories, Mary had chosen a beloved Quidam clutch.

A closer look revealed that she was in fact wearing huge diamond earrings once purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction and a stunning brooch from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The combo is a bit odd but both pieces are magnificent. The same goes with the Dulong Fine Jewelry black South Sea pearl bracelet.

Gala dinner at Christiansborg

In the evening, Queen Margrethe hosted a gala dinner at Christiansborg on occasion of King Felipe and Queen Letizia's official visit in Denmark.

Representatives from both Danish and Spanish businesses, culture and sports, the Spanish business delegation and representatives from the court, etc. were invited to the prestiges dinner.

Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary and Princess Benedikte attended from the Danish royal family.

Mary looked smashing in her reused bespoke Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen evening gown. I learned that her gown is in fact dusty green. I aways thought it was soft blue. Now I like it even more. She first wore it in 2022 on occasion of her 50th birthday (here).

She embraced the magical gala outfit with her beautiful tiara once purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction. It can also be worn as a necklace. For the first time, I think the tiara suited her outfit with such perfection it is scary. The earrings are also an auction purchase.

We get a glimpse of her beloved Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces as well as an old Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond bangle. She has also worn both the silver rhinestone clutch and glitter Gianvito Rossi pumps before.

I like what I see.

Day 2. King Carl Gustaf's Golden Jubilee

15 September 2023

Kungl. Slottet, Stockholm

Queen Margrethe, Princess Anne-Marie and the Crown Prince Couple arrived in Stockholm the previous day to attend the grand celebration of Kin Carl Gustaf's Golden Jubilee. The Swedish king celebrate his 50th anniversary.

On Friday, they all accompanied that Swedish royal family and visited King Gustaf 6. Adolf of Sweden's memorial side in Hagaparken (here).

Later on, the Queen, Princess Anne-Marie and the Crown Prince Couple attended a church service in Te Deum. The service was then followed by changing of the guards. The royal family watched the changing from the balcony of the royal palace.

Wauw. Mary looked soooooo beautiful when attending activities on occasion of King Carl Gustaf's Golden Jubilee on September 15th. It is the second time she wears this amazing blue printed Erdem dress. First, was when Denmark hosted an official visit from Norway earlier this year (here). Mary embraced the delicate style of the dress with a matching fascinator.

I have never been able to identify it, but hopefully I will some day. It goes back to the coronation in the Netherlands in 2013 (here). Love its simple and elegant design.

As jewellery, Mary had chosen stunning diamond earrings once purchased at a Bruun Rasmussen auction back in 2022.

She matched the dress and fascinator with a beloved Quidam clutch, Gianvito Rossi leather pumps and what looks like a lovely blue cardigan.

Gala dinner

In the evening, friends and family were invited to attend a gala dinner at Riksalen at Kungl. Slottet (here). Both Queen Margrethe, Princess Anne-Marie, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the dinner.

King Carl Gustaf gave a welcome speech before the dinner, where he embraced his role a King of Sweden. How much it means to him to represent Sweden, his family and the Swedish people. He also took the opportunity to thank his beloved wife, Queen Silvia for spending her life with him.

If the midnight blue evening gown in fact is a reuse with alterations, I have not confirmed, but it looks a lot like another one of her gown (here). Nevertheless, her gown worn at the gala dinner in Stockholm is mastered by Danish designer Lasse Spangenberg. About now, he has created quite a few dresses for her.

Mary styled her evening look with a very special tiara. Her wedding tiara. It was given to her by Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik. Her new parents-in-law. The story goes that her aquamarine earrings are a gift from Crown Prince Frederik. But I do not know for sure. The story is the same with the HUGE ring.

The two diamond cuffs are made by Annikat. Love that she wore both of them. We get a glimpse of her wearing a diamond hairpin - which I believe is a brooch. I think it could be this one.

She also matched the outfit with a blue satin box clutch from Prada and satin pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

Day 1. King Carl Gustaf's Golden Jubilee

14 September 2023

Arrival

On September 14th, the Crown Prince Couple arrived in Stockholm, Sweden to attend King Carl Gustaf's Golden Jubilee (here). He celebrate his 50 years anniversary with family and friends.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary flew to Stockholm and are staying at the Royal Yacht Dannebrog along with Queen Margrethe and Princess Anne-Marie. The couple arrived around noon - a little after the Queen and her sister.

Mary looked amazing in what I believe is a brand new light brown (linen?) suit paired with an old Athé by Vanessa Bruno blouse. She first wore the blouse in Rio de Janeiro in 2026 (here). Mary styled the rather casual outfit with a brown leather belt, Gucci sunglasses, a beloved Ralph Lauren bag, Gianvito Rossi sandals and golden Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings.

In the evening, Queen Margrethe was accompanied by sister Princess Anne-Marie, son Crown Prince Frederik and daughter-in-law Crown Princess Mary at a gala performance at Drottningsholm Slottsteater in Stockholm (here).

After followed a dinner at Drottningsholm Slott.

To mention some who also attended the magical evening: Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. Princess Madeleine and husband Christopher. Prince Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson and wife Birgitta Kristersson. Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia. Queen Sonja and Prince Haakon of Norway. Presidential couples from both Finland and Iceland. And the l

Mary stunned in her custom-made Lasse Spangenberg evening gown. This is the third time she is wearing it. We first saw it at the celebration the Mary Foundations 10th anniversary in 2017 (here). Worn plain and simple. Mary repeated the success a year later, when Denmark hosted an official state visit from France (here). The gown was then added a fine black silk "sleeve". So far, my personal favorite version is from the gala performance in Stockholm.

She accessorized the magnificent outfit with a beloved birthday present from Queen Margrethe. The precious earrings. Matched with a turquoise ring. Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau are creators of her fine necklaces and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen mastered the diamond rings.

Look closer and you will see her reused black glitter clutch from Sergio Rossi and mesh pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

New Year's reception at Christiansborg

04 January 2023

Queen Margrethe arrived with style for todays second day with celebrating a New Years coming with yet another reception. She arrived in a golden couch.

The 4th of January reception gathered officers from the Armed Forces and the Emergency Management Agency, I., II., and III. rank as well as representatives of major national organizations and royal patronages.

The Queen hosted the New Year's reception at Christiansborg. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary also attended the reception. They arrived shortly before Queen Margrethe.

The Crown Prince Couple arriving to the New Year's reception

Even thought I would have loved something else for the second New Year's reception, I still adored Mary in her custom-made Lasse Spangenberg gown with matching cape. It is not up for discussion: the gown looks perfect on her. Only a talented designer/tailor are able to make something this beautiful.

Mary also wore this outfit in 2017 (here), 2018 (here) and 2020 (here). Do you favor one of them? My favourite has to be this year. She looks so majestic with that hairdo and fine details.

The accessories were so well-chosen. Her inherited ruby earrings are a perfect match with the colour of the gown and bordeaux suede BOSS Hugo Boss clutch. Even her new leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi matched with such elegance. The black pearl bracelet is a creation from Dulong Fine Jewelry. We also get a glimpse of her beloved diamond 'F' necklace from Halberstadt.

The New Year Banquet 2023

01 January 2023

We have had to live without the magical New Year Banquet for some time now. The worldwide pandemic changed much - including the annual celebration of welcoming a new year.

With a pandemic more or less under control, the Queen once again hosted the prestiges Banquet at Christian VII's Palace at Amalienborg in Copenhagen. She celebrated the evening along with members of the Danish Parliament, Folketinget's Chairman and special invited guests.

Of course members of the royal family also attended the banquet. First Princess Benedikte arrived. Prince Joachim followed without Princess Marie. She had to stay home a take care of Prince Henrik, who got sick. Then the Crown Prince Couple arrived - with style! What a couple. Last, but not least Queen Margrethe made her entrance.

Mary truly looked beautiful. Like Princess Aurora from Disney's "Sleeping Beauty". That sparkly soft blue evening gown was created by Danish designer Lasse Spangenberg. This is actually the first time Mary wears the gown for an event. We have seen it before, but that was on occasion of her 50th birthday in February (here, here, here). And then later for an official gala portrait photographed by Hasse Nielsen (here) - also on occasion of her birthday.

We get a small glimpse of soft grey suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Actually, shoes were custom-made by Joseph Azagury in the same fabric as the gown (here). But I like that she wore something a bit more simple for the banquet.

Impressively, Mary matched her lovely gown with the beloved Ruby Parure inherited from Queen Ingrid - Crown Prince Frederik's grandmother. Not that many years ago, Dulong Fine Jewelry's talented goldsmiths crafted a matching ruby ring. They also made the changes of the rest of the parure. For instance, for the earrings to be worn with other pendants like for the banquet.

I love that she also wore her beautiful diamond necklace from Halberstadt.

The beautiful silver flap rhinestone clutch was a wonderful choice. It completed the outfit.

Queen Margrethe's 50th anniversary: gala performance

10 September 2022

On Januar 14th 2022, Queen Margrethe could celebrate her 50 years as Queen of Denmark. It has been celebrated already with a number of events, but due to the pandemic, many of the following events were either cancelled or given a new date. This is why several events are happening over the next few days.

Saturday evening, friends and family were gathered at the Royal Theatre to attend a gala performance on occasion of the Queen's 50th anniversary.

She was accompanied by her sisters, the Crown Prince Couple and their two oldest children, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie with Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix and guest from both the Swedish and Norwegian royal family.

At first, I have to say that Queen Anne-Marie truly won the fashion competition in my eyes. That burgundy evening gown pairs with those stunning jewellery. I am all over the top about her outfit. She looks so beautiful.

Of course, it does not mean that I dislike Mary's look at the gala performance. Because I don't. Mary also looked fantastic in her bespoke Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen. She first wore the magnificent gown, when celebrating Crown Prince Frederik's 50th birthday a few years back (here).

Mary embraced the magnificent gala outfit with a tiara - that also works as a necklace. It was purchased on a Bruun Rasmussen auction. The earrings could be added to her jewellery box the same way. From an auction. All her others jewellery, I have not been able to identify.

I learned about her new shiny clutch from UFO No More. Apparently, it is from Serpui. A rather new designer in her wardrobe. Mary's powder pink satin pumps are also new. I am sure they are from Gianvito Rossi.

Birthday article in ALT for damerne

03 February

It was with great pleasure that I discovered that ALT for damerne made an article about Crown Princess Mary on occasion of her 50th birthday (here). ALT for damerne is a women's magazine. The article praise the Crown Princess for who she is and what she has achieved as both mother, woman, wife and the future Queen of Denmark. How she managed to give 50 a new positive reputation.

Franne Voigt is the master of the beautiful photo covering the February edition of ALT for damerne. The stunning light blue beaded gown is created by the Danish designer Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen. This has to be what we will remember as her "50th birthday look". It is simple incredible! She matched the gown with flower-shaped diamond earrings purchased on Bruun Rasmussen Auction and her HUGE blue Aquamarine ring. I think it was a gift from her husband years ago. We also get a glimpse of a diamond bracelet.

New official photos of the Crown Prince Couple

31 January

Crown Princess Mary celebrate her 50th birthday on February 5th - on Saturday. On that occasion we have already seen multiple new photos of her. We have been spoiled with a brand new book and several exclusive interviews.

I am already satisfied, but we are spoiled one more time. Photographer Hasse Nielsen had the pleasure of taking new official gala portraits of the Crown Prince Couple. All on occasion of Crown Princess Mary's 50th birthday. The photo series includes both photos of the couple and the two of them separately. They are gorgeous, don't you think?

Even though we have already seen her in this stunning Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen creation, I am overwhelmed one more time. The details are exquisite and very well-chosen. Every single bead is cared for. The new gala portraits also revealed that the babyblue gown is sprinkled with rosy pearls. It gives the dress a magnificent glow. Yes, I really like it!

Both tiara, earrings, brooch and bracelet are part of Queen Ingrid's Ruby Parure. The matching ring is later added to the parure by Mary. It was mastered by Dulong Fine Jewelry's talented goldsmith's. She also wore the elephant order, a diamond bracelet (it looks new) and some diamond rings. One of them are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Another one is her engagement ring.

Exclusive birthday interview with The Australian Women's Weekly

31 January

Photographer Franne Voigt captured some new photos of the Crown Princess for a new book, which will be published on January 31st. It is called "H.K.H. Mary". One of the photos from the book is now on the cover of the latest edition of The Australian Women's Weekly". Franne Voigt is the photographer (here). The interview also included photos by Jester Sunesen, Steen Evald, Tine Harden and some of the family's private photos (here).

Mary wore so many beautiful in the latest edition of The Australian Women's Weekly. Most of the photos and outfits are brand new for us. Like the one on the cover. I made identifications of each outfit in chronological order from this post here. Hopefully, it is clear who, what, where and when. Photos like these really inspire me. Especially, her more private looks are a great inspiration for me. They are often easy to wear and easy to copy. Any of the new outfits you want to try out yourself? Or many a pieces of jewellery you would like to add to your wardrobe?

Second New Year Reception

03 January

For two days the Queen and the Crown Prince Couple have honoured and celebrated the arrival of a new year. First at Amalienborg for, among others, the Danish Government, here. The following day they accompanied each other once again at both Amalienborg and Christiansborg. Here representatives from both the Supreme Court Judges, Royal Officers' Guard and the Guard Hussar Regiment and later the Diplomatic Corps were gathered to celebrate New Year with the royal family, here.

On January 3rd, Queen Margrethe hosted her last New Year reception. Officers from the Armed Forces and the Emergency Management Agency, I., II., and III. rank as well as representatives of major national organizations and royal protections were invited to Christiansborg where the reception took place. It is a tradition for the Queen to arrive to Christansborg, on this very last day of reception, by gold coach. A wonderful way of welcoming a new year.

Beautiful, beautiful Mary. She looked like a shining star. This warm bordeaux colour looks great next to her fair skin and dark brown hair. Apparently, Mary's favourite colour is purple and this colour comes as close to purple as any colour does. The floor-length gown is created by Danish designer, Lasse Spangenberg back in 2017. It comes with a matching cape as well. Both pieces of clothes have been seen on a couple of previous occasions. Among others, at two New Year receptions in 2017, here, and 2018, here. She introduced the cape to us at the New Year banquet in 2017, here.

She embraced the look with stunning earrings from the ruby parure from Queen Ingrid. She added black pearls to match the darker colour dress. The matching black pearl bracelet is from Dulong Fine Jewelry and has been part of her jewellery collection for many years now. A piece like this, never goes out of style - Mary proved that to us.

The Hugo Boss clutch and Gianvito Rossi pumps have been seen before on quite a few occasions. Both day and night. Unfortunately, gown and cape covered most of her incredible accessories worn at this year's second and last New Year reception.

Celebrating Princess Benedikte

29 April

In the morning, Crown Princess Mary visited WHO's Regional Office of Europe in the UN-City in Copenhagen. She payed a visit to the organisation as patron. As part of the visit Crown Princess Mary was briefed about WHO's ongoing activities to improve healthcare and livingstandards, here.

On occasion of Princess Benedikte's 75th birthday, a dinner was held at Amalienborg. Queen Margrethe hosted the dinner, where family and friends were invited. Among the guests were Queen Anne-Marie, Princess Alexandra, Princess Nathalie and the Crown Prince Couple.

Both Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were in a splendid mood, as the Queen and birthday girl were. They were all smiles and happy eyes.

Let us wish Princess Benedikte a happy birthday and congratulate her on behalf of her big day. On occasion of her 75th birthday Princess Benedikte also published a new book and opened an exhibition at Koldinghus in Kolding.

Princess Benedikte dazzled in an eye-catching gown with a slim silhouette. Queen Margrethe matched her sister wearing a purple gown covered in black lace. Meanwhile Mary stunned in a navy blue evening gown created by Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen back in 2018. The dress was first worn at an Honorary Dinner taking place at Fredensborg Castle, here. At that time everybody talked about her dress. So did we this time. It is a dress that impresses the eye who see it. We also did get a better look at it. That beautiful lace top still amazes me. Because of that incredible hairdo; the lace top looks its best.

Mary embraced the style by wearing matching silk pointed pumps from Gianvito Rossi and a reused Prada clutch. Both pieces are in a similar blue color as the magnificent gown. She first wore the smashing blue silk pumps at a 50th birthday party at Tranekær Castle, here. The shoes was also worn at a dinner in Japan in 2017, here.

As other accessories she had chosen earrings, a bracelet and her ring from the ruby parure - inherited from Queen Ingrid. As you know the ring was made later on by Dulong Fine Jewelry to match the rest of the parure. The golden bangle is her love bracelet from Cartier.

Day 1. Official state visit from France

August, Tuesday 28th

For four days we enjoyed an official visit to the Faroe Islands along with the entire Crown Prince family. We followed each step and enjoyed each one of them. It was a pleasure sharing all this with you. The visit was something we had been looking forward to in a very long time. Suddenly it was all over. Fortunately we did not have to wait long for another exciting event. Because on August 28th the Queen hosted an official state visit from France.

The French Presidential couple arrived to Copenhagen airport in the morning on Tuesday 28th. They were warmly welcomed by the Crown Prince couple at Kastellet in Copenhagen. Both couple's showed their respect to missing and/or lost soldiers with a wreath. Following the Presidential couple was officially welcomed by Queen Margrethe at Amalienborg. The Crown Prince couple, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte did also attend the welcoming ceremony.

Mrs Macron was then invited to attend a lunch with the Crown Princess at Frederik VIIIs Palace at Amalienborg. The two of them met earlier in 2017 to discuss equality in Denmark and a future meeting was settled. Once again the topic about equality was brought up. On this occasion the Crown Princess had specially invited four other guests to attend the lunch - four guest with the purpose to enlighten about equality issues, a status and - challenges.

Crown Princess Mary and Mrs Macron also had the pleasure to join each other for yet another visit. The two of them visited the Design School at Holmen in Copenhagen. They were given a guided tour around the facilities, was introduced to the school and their work. Especially sustainability and sustainable fashion solution are something the schools students work with in their everday's.

Meanwhile the French President met with Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, visited the Royal Library and the Black Diamond. He also joined Crown Prince Frederik for a boat trip in Copenhagen Harbor.

Apparently the Crown Princess had a meeting with Amina Mohammed, UN Deputy Secretary General on Tuesday as well, here. Amina Mohammed is former special advisor to Ban Ki-moon. UN's 17 world goals - in particular goal number five about equality, was discussed during the meeting that took place at Amalienborg in Copenhagen. The conversation between was also focused on women-and girls rights and opportunities.

Mary was shining like a red rose when welcoming the French Presidential couple at Kastellet in Copenhagen. Somehow I expected something completely else. That is what make Mary and her style so exciting - you never know what she is going to wear. She had chosen a bright red dress tailored by Birgit Hallstein.

The Danish Crown Princess was not the only one embracing a red outfit. Mrs Macron shone wearing a matching red dress and coat. Meanwhile Princess Marie wore a red long-sleeved red blouse and a black skirt.

She accessorized her new Birgit Hallstein dress with diamond earrings from Ole Lynggaard worn a several other occasion. The same goes with the beautiful leaf Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen brooch. Her two golden bracelets are from Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry. As shoes she had chosen an old pair of python pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Incredible match to the red dress, right? Another interesting accessory is the brand new bright red clutch bag. I had a Danish designer in mind when Kate share her finding with me. She managed to identify Mary's new clutch bag as LIN8. I am simply in love with this creation.

With a magnificent hairstyle, beautiful makeup and red nail polish, she managed to amaze me deeply. Mary really knows how to make a great impression.

- Gala dinner -
With Queen Margrethe as host of this official state visit from the French Presidential couple, she also hosted a gala dinner in the evening. Guests from both Danish and French public were invited to attend the dinner, which took place in the Banquet Hall at Christiansborg castle in Copenhagen. The arrival and part of the dinner was broadcasted live on Danish television. I watched only the arrival but it was an incredible sight. Princess Benedikte arrived first from the royal family, followed by Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, then the Crown Prince couple and Queen Margrethe. The French Presidential couple arrived last. Especially the arrival of the Crown Prince couple amazed me. It always look so gracious.

All guests were then greeted with a handshake and the evening was about to begin. As host the Queen gave a welcoming speech which can be watched down below. The French President followed her with his own speech. Dinner was then serviced. I imagine it being a wonderful evening for all attending the event.

By the commentators many blue dresses were predicted. That is why I hoped for anything else than a blue dress for Mary or any of the other Danish royal women. And we got... no blue gowns at all. Queen Margrethe stunned in a purple gown featuring black lace. Princess Marie wore what I think is a brand new gown with a wide neckline and little train. I hear that her tiara is new and presumably a gift from her husband on occasion of their 10th anniversary. Princess Benedikte impressed in a lovely dusty pink floral evening gown.

What's then about Mary? As the only royal woman wearing white, she showed up in a reused Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen evening gown. Yet with few altercations. A black piece of fabric has been added across her right shoulder. It then works as a short train. I will leave the commenting about this alterting to you. Mary wore this floral gown at the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Mary Foundation, here.

She embraced the evening outfit with a black Sergio Rossi box clutch and black pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Other than this I see her wearing the incredible ruby parure inherited from Queen Ingrid. She wore both tiara, earrings, bracelet and a single hairpiece. If any of you manage to find a picture of her hairstyle, please share it with me. I would really like to get a better look of her stunning hairstyle.
