Christening of Prince Gustav Albrecht zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg

26 August 2023

Within a few months, Prince Christian turns 18. Now he can also celebrate being godfather of the beautiful little Prince Gustav Albrecht zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg. Prince Gustav is the son of Prince Gustav (son of Princess Benedikte) and Princess Carina zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg

The christening took place in the chapel at Berleburg Castle. Prince Christian was accompanied by his parents Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary.

Prince Gustav's other godparents are: Princess Theodora of Greece, Ellen Hillingsø, Arabella Gaggero, Prince Franz-Albrecht and Prince Carl-Anton.

Wish we had more photos from the christening because Mary really wore an interesting outfit! She dazzled in a brand new belted Zimmermann dress. Think the belt can also be worn as a necklace because "originally" the dress comes with a ribbon as belt. Love that Mary chose the "necklace" instead. Makes the outfit a bit more elegant.

Mary embraced the style with an old wide-brimmed hat. She first wore it back in 2004 (!!) at an official reception at Christiansborg on occasion of the couple's wedding (here). Mary has worn it once again in 2006. Since then, we haven't seen the masterpiece. Till now. I am very excited.

The huge shiny diamond earrings are purchased some years ago at Bruun Rasmussen auctions.

Inauguration of new National Bereavement Center

22 August 2023

Crown Princess Mary attended the grand opening of the new bereavement center in Vejle. She attended the inauguration as patron of The National Bereavement Center (here).

This new bereavement center makes children, young people and other citizens the opportunity to share their grief with others. Especially children and young people fall down into solitude when a parent becomes seriously ill or die.

One initiative to create a dialogue about this heavy grief, is the centers "memory tree". Crown Princess Mary also wrote a small note in memory of her mother, Henrietta.

Since 2019, Mary has worn this incredible Morten Ussing dress three times now. She first wore it at an official visit to Paria (here). Mary then wore the beautiful dress in 2021, when attending the opening of Lolland Business School (here). When visiting Lolland, she embraced the style of the dress with the same brown leather belt from MaxMara. Makes a great look!

She matched her outfit with old Gucci tortoise-like glasses, her smashing brown leather bag from Ralph Lauren and the most amazing (!) new Salvatore Ferragamo. I could talk about these heeled sandals for days. They are so magnificent. Do you like that kinda heel?

Mary was also wearing plenty of smashing pieces of jewellery. Like her custom-made white pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau and rings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

Look closer and you'll see that she also styled a rather new MaRe bracelet with an oooooold golden Cartier watch.

Day 2. Presidential visit from Ukraine

21 August 2023

The previous day, Crown Princess Mary and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen welcomed the Presidential couple from Ukraine - President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Volodymyrivna Zelenska in Skrydstrup. The Crown Princess and First Lady Olene then attended a church service in Haderslev (here).

The following day, Queen Margrethe officially welcomed the couple at Christiansborg Castle in Copenhagen. She also hosted a lunch at Christiansborg (here).

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary both attended the welcoming ceremony and the following lunch.

Mary had chosen one of her old Prada dresses for the official welcoming ceremony. She first wore the stunning polka dotted dress at the opening of "Generation Equality Forum" in 2021 (here). Mary was also wearing the dress at a business promotion visit in Norway in 2022 (here).

At the lunch at Christiansborg, Mary embraced the style with a beautiful half updo and classy white pearl earrings. Think they are old ones. She also accessorized her look with a lovely golden bracelet from Rebekka Notkin, Dulong Fine Jewelry and a rather new one from MaRe.

She topped of the magnificent outfit with a quality Quidam leather clutch and reuse beige python pumps from Gianvito Rossi. A personal favorite of mine. Those heels are simply incredible!

Day 1. Presidential visit from Ukraine

20 August 2023

In the afternoon, Crown Princess Mary warmly welcomed Ukraine's Presidential couple Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the First Lady Olena Volodymyrivna Zelenska at the airport in Skrydstrup (here).

She was accompanied by Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

Later on, the Crown Princess and Frist Lady Olena Volodymyrivna Zelenska visited Haderslev to attend a Danish-Ukrainian church service in Haderslev Cathedral.

Several Ukrainian's have moved to Haderslev the last couple of years and the two of them had time to meet and speak to some of them who started a life in Denmark.

The white and brown combo are such a wonderful match. I really adore how she style her plain soft white Mark Kenly Domino Tan blouse with lovely brown linen MaxMara trousers. The textures are magical! This time she embraced the style with a reused brown leather belt from MaxMara. This belt has such a great shape. Looks so good.

She had chosen not to wear a bag or clutch, which is a bit unusual. Instead, Mary matched the outfit with beautiful brown suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi. This means that she also repeated an old look from 2022 (here). Which one do you favor?

As accessorized, Mary was wearing diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe. Much beloved earrings. The same goes with that massive gold bracelet from Rebekka Notkin and an old diamond bangle from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Her white beaded MaRe bracelet is rather new.

Let us not forget to mention that incredible (!) custom-made golden ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Inauguration of "Skudestien"

18 August 2023

"Skudestien" is a new hiking trail in Tornby in Northern Jutland. To be more precise: in Hirtshals. Crown Princess Mary inaugurated the trail as tradition prescribes by cutting the red ribbon before hiking the new trail herself (here).

"Skudestien" takes you through the forest, over fields and dunes. It shows nature as it is and it embraces the region's cultural history. The hiking trail have been laid out in collaboration between citizens of Tornby and the Danish national Nature Agency.

Crown Princess Mary was accompanied by several hundreds of people while walking the 14 kilometer route.

Love when Mary is wearing casual outfits. Somehow, I think they represent her personal style way better. Do you know what mean? When inauguration "Skudestien" in Tornby, she wore a brand new brownish linen button-down blouse and a matching t-shirt. So far, I have no been able to identify these two blouses. That is not the case with her new trousers. They have been found at Arc'teryx.

Mary styled her lovely hiking outfit with new shades from Gucci and a practical OSPREY backpack. Her ankle walking boots are also from Arc'teryx.

A closer look revealed plenty of stunning jewellery. Necklaces from Halberstadt, Julie Sandlau and a rather new from MaRe. She matched it with a MaRe beaded bracelet and one from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The fine and delicate diamond ring is a Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen creation.

Inauguration of Jetsmark School Center

18 August 2023

Crown Princess Mary took all the way to Northern Jutland to attended the grand inauguration of Jetsmark School Center in Pandrup (here).

Students, teachers and citizens showed up to welcome the Crown Princess at the arrival and to make her day even more wonderful. She was indeed warmly welcomed with smiles, handshakes and flowers.

With the help of students and teachers, she counted down and cut the tradition red ribbon to officially inaugurate the new school center. She was then given a guided your around the facilities which will now form a modern framework for the community in Jetsmark.

Seems like Mary has added quite a few things to her wardrobe during the summer. Maybe she was inspired when on vacation. I like that idea. I say that because her style is so vibrant and casual. Almost bohemian. Think that also describes her outfit pretty well when visiting Pandrup to attend the inauguration of Jetsmark's new school center.

Mary had chosen a brand new white and blue striped POLO Ralph Lauren set. A matching blazer and trousers. Love the silhouette of the trousers. Very sleek. Can't wait to see how she is going to style both pieces in the future.

Her outfit was indeed casual and simple. This is why I love that she accessorized it with plenty of jewellery. Like golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, her rather new green beaded MaRe necklace and matching bracelet, rings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Maybe a bit messy combo, but I like it!

We get a glimpse of her wearing reused brown leather sandals from Gianvito Rossi.

Packing important backpacks

14 August 2023

For quite some years, the Mary Foundation has worked along with the Ole Kirk's Foundation and LOKK - the National Organization of Women's Crisis Centers to help children in crisis centers. Many of them often arrived with their mother and siblings with very little or nothing.

The three of them have developed a special backpack in collaboration with LEGO. This is why the Crown Princess visited LEGO in Billund on August 14th. To give a helping hand packing some backpacks (here).

A backpack contain things like toothbrushes, postcards, toys. Thing that makes it a little easier for the children to adapt to the revolutionary situation. And give the children the opportunity to talk about the feelings they have inside during the turbulent time.

I'm not sure I am the biggest fan of Mary's latest outfit when packing backpacks in Billund. I cannot pinpoint what it is about the outfit that I am not crazy about. Maybe the denim blouse. It makes her look a bit "too casual" to me. What was your first impression?

In Billund, Mary styled a reused denim blouse from Polo Ralph Lauren and brand new Closed trousers. Those, I kinda like. Think they are pretty cool with the rather large pockets and the BOSS Hugo Boss belt makes it even more edgy.

She embraced the casual style with quite a few pieces of jewellery. I spotted a new green beads necklace matched with her beloved Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces. As other jewellery, she wore bracelets from Rebekka Notkin and Dulong Fine Jewelry. A closer look revealed that Mary also was wearing rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and Dulong Fine Jewelry.

The new beige suede loafers are from Hermés and her tortoise-like glasses are from Gucci.

Christiansfeld's 250th anniversary

13 August 2023

How many cities can enjoy of being on the UNESCO World Heritage List? Christiansfeld can. Christiansfeld also enjoyed celebrating its 250th anniversary. It was celebrated with a wonderful party and the Crown Prince Couple were invited (here).

Count Ingolf and his wife Countess Sussie of Rosenborg also attended the festivities.

The Crown Prince Coupe were warmly welcomed when arriving to Christiansfeld. People had gathered around the city to get a glimpse, a smile and a handshake.

To mark the anniversary, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary both attended official lunch, a guided tour around the city and a beautiful church service. What a day.

Mary truly looked like a dream when visiting Christiansfeld in her bright red Raquel Diniz dress. She wore it for the fifth time (here, here, here, here). My personal favorite was in 2012, when she attended the official opening of "Copenhagen 2021".

Celebrating Christiansfeld's 250th anniversary, Mary had chosen to accessorize her stunning dress with a reused hat by Jane Taylor. First worn in 2011 at the wedding of Prince Albert of Monaco and Carlene Wittstock (here).

As jewellery, she wore creations by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, Halberstadt, Julie Sandlau, Rebekka Notkin and Dulong Fine Jewelry. Mary was also wearing her new white beaded bracelet. It was ID'd as MaRe. What are you favorites? I am in love with how she matched two pairs of earrings. Silver and gold.

Her fine beige clutch has never been identify. One day, I hope to be able to write a name on it. Wish she would have worn matching shoes. Instead, Mary completely her outfit with midi brown sandals from Gianvito Rossi. If you now a little able Christiansfeld, then that is to wear practical shoes. The city is covered with cobblestones. Not good for high heels.

A very special greeting

09 August 2023

More than 2,000 children are following their mothers to crisis centers in Denmark. Often they have left their homes from one moment to another. This means that they now and then arrived to the crisis center without anything else but themselves.

The Mary Foundation has work along with the Ole Kirk Foundation and LOKK for years now and handed over very special backpacks to the children. The backpack contains everything from toys, toothbrushes, books, etc.

The backpacks also comes with the opportunity to write or draw a postcard. Crown Princess shared some of the postcards they have received from children at crisis centers in a little video posted on social media.

Denmark vs Australia

07 August, 2023

The Crown Prince family are back home after a wonderful vacation on Ibiza. This post is the first one seen in a very long time. The family posted a little something on occasion of the World Cup in women's football. Denmark played a match in Sydney against Australia's national team.

Crown Princess Mary enjoyed a lovely moment with the family's furry friends wearing a lovely new denim shirt from Polo Ralph Lauren and matching trousers.
