Wedding in Northern Ireland

Sunday, August 31st

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were among the guests when Søren Jessen married Flora Montgomery. The wedding took place in Northern Ireland.

Friends are worth more than gold. On a big day like when you are getting married, all you want is to celebrate the day with friends and family. So when one of Frederik's good old friend was getting married, he is of course invited with his lovely wife which is why the Crown Prince couple had traveled to Northern Ireland; to attend the wedding of Søren Jessen and Flora Montgomery. The location was ideal for a wedding! Attending a wedding is always so special, two loved ones are finally getting each other. Must bring back memories for both of them during the ceremony. At least I had the eager to review pictures from the couple's wedding back in 2004. Bring back some wonderful memories of Mary arriving to Vor Frue church wearing her huge wedding gown featuring a meters long train and the hundred year old lace veil. I really want to wish the newlyweds congratulations on behalf of their wedding.

Mary was stunning in her new pink lace dress from Valentino. A magnificent dress. Looks even better with the white Prada coat. The pink feather hairpiece beautifully framed her face and the wonderful hairstyle! When I first saw this, it made me think of the creation she wore during the couple's stay in Poland, here, which then made me think of the Danish milliner Susanne Juul -in my opinion one of the best. It's important for me to say that I have absolutely no proof that she is the designer of Mary's headpiece. Only thoughts. She accessorized her look with golden jewellery, among others a necklace from Orit Elhanati and a Shamballa Jewels bracelet. For sure you also noticed the earrings she was wearing. I strongly believe it is the same earrings from when Mary attended the Brain Prize 2014. However, just shorter. The Prada clutch was a perfect match to the dress, the hair piece and of course the shoes. Talking about her shoes there has been many suggestions. Some believe they are pink, others white. Looking at them I am convinced they are pink and from Gianvito Rossi. My last words has to be; outstanding outfit for a (royal) wedding guest!

Visiting The Mother's Help

Tuesday, August 26th

Unofficially, Crown Princess Mary visited, as Chairwoman of the Mary Foundation, the Mother's Help in Copenhagen on occasion of the project Advice for Life. The Crown Princess was accompanied by CEO of the Mary Foundation Helle Østergaard.

And then it happened again; another unofficial visit. Two in one month. That is really unusual. The reason why I found out about her meeting with the Mother's Help, was because some pictures showed up on the Mary Foundation's Facebook page from the visit. The purpose of her visit was to meet some of the vulnerable women who have received help from the Mary Foundation's project called Advice for Life. During her visit she met a couple of advisors and professionals working with Advice for Life. It was CEO of the Mother's Help Mads Roke Clausen who gave the Crown Princess a tour around their facilities. She was also given the opportunity to meet one of the many women who have been helped by the Advice for Life project. A more than one occasion, Mary has expressed that these meetings are very important for her and it gives her a good view of how a project like this works in reality.

Personally I am a huge fan of any shade of blue; everything from pastel blue to this lovely navy blue colour which is why I get thrilled when we see Mary wears the colour. Visiting the Mother's Help in Copenhagen she wore a beautiful new navy blue blouse and with help from Kate I now know that it's from Hugo Boss. According to Princesses Watchers her new capri trousers are also from Hugo Boss. Spanish Queen Letizia has previously been seen wearing exactly the same pair. We are in August and no coat is needed. Keeping everything in complementary colours, she wore a pair of new Jewlscph earrings featuring three different coloured stones which matched the blue color in the blouse and pants. Great choice! With a golden Orit Elhanati necklace, a Shamballa Jewels bracelet and a stunning brown leather bag from Ralph Lauren, Mary really amazed me with her outfit. For sure I'm going to try the combo myself. Arn't you? I can't forget mentioning that her shoes are a pair of navy blue suede wedges, not yet identified.

Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in Tivoli

Monday, August 25th

Crown Princess Mary attended a concert with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in Tivoli's concert hall, Copenhagen.

It was in a really great mood the Crown Princess arrived to Tivoli yesterday evening, pretty sure it was because she was about to attend a very special concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, who are in Denmark to play this concert. Mary went for a short walk from the entrance of Tivoli to the concert hall. Here people had the chance to greet Denmark's future Queen and some even got pictures. One of them is Agnés Colbert. Luckily she shared her pictures with me and even gave me permission to share some of them with you right here in this blog post! And please, if you have any interest in sharing her pictures as well ask her for permission. Thank you. Mary enjoyed the evening along with Music Director Henrik Engelbrecht and Australia's ambassador in Denmark, Damien Miller. Unfortunately Frederik wasn't able to attend with her because he is, as you know, in the Untied States. To me it seems like she had a great evening with some beautiful music!

Mary stunned everyone with her beautiful navy blue outfit! I first thought it was a dress, but the more I looked at it looked like a coat because at some pictures you can see that she has a dress or skirt underneath. Finding it at Oscar de la Renta I am able to confirm that it is indeed a coat. What exactly makes this look so elegant? First, Mary's amazing figure. Second, the length that goes straight to the knees which makes it young and sophisticated. The blue colour is a symbol of royalty and the then of course the beaded neckline which is another reason why this new piece won my heart. It has taken me quite some time to figure out where her new blue clutch is from, but with some help from Pernille I am able to tell you that it is from Quidam. First I was suggested to be a Carlend Copenhagen design, it's not. Yet another new item she was wearing is those killer suede pumps, perfectly matching the rest of her outfit. After a loooong time I can tell that they are not from Gianvito Rossi, but Pura Lopez who makes these great shoes! If you take a look at one of the pictures which shows her face, you’ll see that her eye makeup also is navy blue colours – perfect detail! On her right hand she wore a new ring with two colors, purple and black/navy. Her earrings are from Hartmanns and one of her many bracelets is a Shamballa Jewels.

Meeting at the Danish Parliament

Friday, August 21st

Unofficially, Crown Princess Mary attended a meeting along with Minister Mogens Jensen on the Parliament Intergroup Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

I always think it's great when the Crown Princess show up somewhere unexpected and that is exactly what she did yesterday. Here she unofficially attended a meeting at Christiansborg -also the Danish Parliament- with among others Minister Mogens Jensen. The meeting took place on occasion of the Parliament's Intergroup Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

Although it was an unofficial work, Mary was differently not badly dressed. But isn't it really why we love Mary's sense of style so much? Always look your bet no matter where you are or where you are going. She attended the meeting wearing a brand new dress by Danish designer Signe Bøgelund-Jensen (SS14), a designer we have seen her wear clothes from more than once that last couple of years. The dress is so new that it first hit stores in September. The dress has been identified my sweet reader Pernille, thanks! Unfortunately, I have not been able to find the exact same model, but the only difference on the dress Mary is wearing and the model I have linked to, is the colour of the detail 'hugging' her waist. She embrace a simple, yet polished style by wearing white pearl earrings from Marianne Dulong and what I tend to believe is her golden Cartier watch on her left arm.

Goodby to Ove Ullerup

Wednesday, August 20th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Prince Mary attended a farewell reception for Ove Ullerup, now the previous Lord Chamberlain, which took place at the Alexander Hall at Christiansborg castle. Other than the Crown Prince couple, also Prince Joachim, Princess Marie, Countess Alexandra, Prince Nikolai and his brother Prince Felix attended.

Bt.dk

In 2003, about the same time Mary came to Denmark, Ove Ullerup became the new Lord Chamberlain for the Danish royal family. This is now 11 years ago and Mr. Ullerup has decided to retire and leave the job for someone else. Because of his retirement a reception was held at the Alexander Hall at Christiansborg castle where several guests were invited. From the royal family Prince Joachim, Princess Mary, Countess Alexandra, Prince Nikolai, his brother Prince Felix and of course the Crown Prince couple attended the reception. I'm pretty sure it must have been great to see so many people for Ove and his wife, but also a sad day when he has to say goodbye to many of the people he has shared every day with the last 11 years. I wish Ove Ullerup and his wife all the best in the future. He has been doing a great job and I think he will be missed.

Wauw, much is going on with this outfit! For us to see her wear pink really does not happen very often. As a huge fan of pink (and Mary) I love this new SAND Copenhagen blouse. The floral print is so feminine and elegant and with the pink hemline, the blouse makes a great statement piece. I like how she matched this new blouse with a plain black JOSEPH skirt and of course the fact that she's also wearing bright pink pumps! The first time we saw these pink pointed pumps was when Mary visited Germany, here, along with Princess Benedikte. At that time I was not able to ID them. I suggested either Christian Louboutin or Prada. Seeing them once again I tend to say Prada, but I still do not have any proof. Then I noticed a pair of white and golden floral earrings, not new nor identified, but I have always been completely in love with them! Unfortunately I think they... vanish because of the printed blouse. Am I the only one having that thought? Embracing the style she also wore a golden ring from I'm Jewel and one of her black clutches, this one is from Carlend Copenhagen. So what do you think? I can't wait to hear what you think about her outfit.

Women Deliver Conference 2016 comes to Denmark!

Monday, August 18th

Crown Princess Mary visited the Danish Parliament to attend the event Invest in Girls and Women – Everybody Wins. The Crown Princess attended along with Minister of Commerce and Development Minister Mogens Jensen.

Bt.dk 1

Early monday morning the Crown Princess arrived to Christiansborg castle, also the Danish Parliament, where she was warmly welcomed by Minister Mogens Jensen and CEO of Women Deliver Katja Inversen. It was to attend Invest in Girls and Women – Everybody Wins that Mary payed a visit to Christiansborg. With great excitement she shared the good news in front of 160 participants that the international Women Deliver conference will be held in Denmark in 2016! Such good news. I know it is something Mary has worked for in a long time along with Mogens Jensen and now it is really happening. According to Royalista she expressed how proud she is that Denmark will host the conference. It is a global conference on women and girls health, rights and well-being. This is really something I look forward to.

For a whole week we have seen Mary almost only wearing turtleneck sweaters, jackets and heavy boots, so it's great to see she still takes every opportunity to wear a skirt and sheer blouse. She had chosen a new white blouse from Hugo Boss and a fantastic new skirt. Thanks to Kate for finding the blouse! Back to the skirt; I was no doubt that it had to be from Chanel, but my fantastic reader Pernille have found out that in fact it is from Dolce & Gabbana. After quite some time I have also been able to find the right model and not just as a dress, as I first shared with you. She had chosen some very exclusive jewellery among other things, a pair of golden earrings from Marianne Dulong, a new long necklace by Georg Jensen and her other golden necklace from Orit Elhanati. Although it was not what grabbed everybody's attention, that was her new leather handbag from Prada. A  perfect fit to the colours. On her feet she wore a pair of stunning Gianvito Rossi python pumps! Does not get any better.

The Hans Christian Andersen Literature Award 2014

Sunday, August 17th

Crown Princess Mary was present at the Hans Christian Andersen Literature Award 2014 where she handed over the prize.

B.dk

The Crown Prince couple and their four children are back from a week in Greenland. The Crown Princess is already back on duty. Here only a couple of days after they arrived to Denmark again she attended the Hans Christian Andersen Literature Award 2014 where she was invited to hand over the prize to this years winner. It rarely happens, but actually Mary arrived a little too late compared to what was planned and they had to start without her. But she showed up and everything else went smoothly. A few speeches were given and along with a couple of other the Crown Princess entered the stage to hand over the award to Sir Salman Rushdie. He was given both a beautiful statuette and a diploma. Imagine to be rewarded and how special it is that it's given to you by the Crown Princess, future Queen of Denmark.

These days Danes do not see the sun very much and it rains most of the time. Despite the bad weather and a short delay, Mary showed up in a sunny yellow Prada dress. Back in 2012 when she and Frederik visited South Korea, she wore the exact same dress along with a little hat, a pair of white gloves and a pair of nude pumps. I was pretty sure we would see her wear something a bit more... 'everyday-like'. Maybe a pair of black tights, a pencil skirt, some kind of blouse and maybe a jacket or coat, but differently not this. So I was very surprised and impressed when I saw her in that yellow dress -without a jacket! She accessorized the outfit with a large pearl bracelet and earrings from Marianne Dulong, a Shamballa Jewels bracelet and a nude clutch. I can't tell exactly who designed her clutch because I have only been able to find a single picture showing only a glimpse of it. Matching the clutch she wore nude mid pumps from Christian Louboutin featuring an almond shaped toe.

The family arrived by boat to the capital Nuuk through the morning fog. Through the fog you could see beautiful colors appear from their Greenlandic national costumes. Everyone of them seemed to be in a great mood, ready for the last day of their trip. All four children joined their mother and father during the day in Nuuk from early morning to late afternoon. I know I mentioned it before, but I really love to see all of them together like this. Think it is a very special experience for both children and parents to attend the same events. Sure there are much to talk about in the evening. So this is their last day which is quite a shame. I really enjoyed every single moment since they arrived a week ago. No time has been waisted, every hour was well planned and they managed to spend seven hours visiting, among others, at least 10 different institutes and centers. Denmark's Radio has made a interview with the couple about their trip to Greenland. It is in Danish, so for you who do not understand this difficult language, just enjoy a couple of minutes with our lovely couple! Watch it here

Of course Mary wore her wonderful national costume with the big pearl collar, the long white boots and a nice little bag made of colored beads. Some of you may admired Mary's hair as much as I do. I can tell you it is the most easy hairdo you have every tried. I love to do it and it’s the perfect way of making no-heat curls. I have found a clip on Youtube for you who would like to try it!

Later the same day, Mary changed her clothes to a more something a bit more casual. If we take it from the top, then she wore a pair black pearl earrings from Marianne Dulong and a bracelet made of the same pearls. In addition, she wore her twisted golden Orit Elhanati necklace. The stunning red, white and black knitted jacket is from Isabel Marant Etoile. One we have seen at a few occasions before this one. It's one of these pieces I never would purchase myself, but after having seen Mary wear it I really want one. The shape is outstanding and it really looks great with a pair of black trousers or, as she did this time, with a black A-line skirt. According to Princesses Watchers the skirt is from Hugo Boss and I have no reason to doubt that at all. Perfectly matching the rest of the outfit she embrace the style by wearing a black Bottega Veneta bag and her pointed leather pumps from SAND Copenhagen.

Thanks for following their trip with me. It has been a true pleasure!

Knr.gl

Now the family has arrived to Greenland's capital Nuuk, with only three days left of their trip. So far I think we have had some splendid days following the royal couple and all four children on their first trip to Greenland and Mary's first trip visiting South of Greenland. In Nuuk the couple only had one event and that was an official dinner on occasion of their visit. The couple arrived in a splendid mood with a huge smile on their faces. They were warmly welcomed at the arrival. With around six people around each table, the dinner was began with a a couple of speeches one of them given by the Crown Prince. Judging by her smile I am sure Mary was so proud of her husband, who expressed his joy of visiting Greenland and all those nice people they had met.

What a dress Mary was wearing at the dinner! This new lace gown beautifully embraced Mary's amazing figure. Notice who golden beads is shaped as a belt and around the cuff and neckline. It looks magnificent on the soft pink lace dress. What makes this gown suitable is differently the length and train. I still do not know if this dream of a dress is custom made or from a sure designers collection, but what I know is that the brown shawl she wore over her shoulders is a gift from previous visit to Greenland in 2004. She also uses it frequently on this trip. If we take a look at the jewellery then her earrings is from Figaros Bryllup. Right above the neckline of the dress you see a beautiful gold necklace which is from Orit Elhanati and the black pearl bracelet is a Marianne Dulong creation as the other bracelet is from Shamballa Jewels. Two pieces we have seen plenty of times before at all kind of occasions. The snake clutch is from Judith Leiber and the metallic pointed pumps I have been told is from Manolo Blahnik. I am truly impressed by her makeup; polished, elegant and so natural.

Bt.dk

This has to be the shortest visit so far on this trip to South Greenland. Frederik and Mary visited, along with all four children, Qeqertarsuatsiaat but only for about three hours. The greatest experience on their fifth day has to be when the family walked from Dannebrog to Telehuset. To see how the children handled all those in attendance was just lovely. Especially the twins were quite popular. Around 10:00 am. local time visited the Crown Prince couple a child care center Amauligaq followed by a visit at a children's club. Precious when we got to see Mary and the children participate in a song game. Just before leaving Qeqertarsuatsiaat the couple payed a visit to Amitsialak workroom.

Maybe not the most colourful outfit we have seen so far, but it looks amazing. Actually it does not happen very often we get to see Mary in black and grey as the only colour. Today we did. Think it looks both comfortable and chic. I wouldn't mind wearing this on a cold October day. She shone in a simple black turtleneck, black tight jeans and a brand new jacket almost sleeveless. Not sure I would have chosen it myself because of the pattern, but oversize vs. tight is just great. I haven't been able to find out where it is from, though I have tried for hours to figure out who designed it. So who do we know that tend to create kinda bohemian clothes like this piece? Again she wore the black ankle boots which she had on when she visited Nanortalikon the second day of their visit. I am really interested in finding out where these ankle boots are from, so if you know anything please let me know. Maybe then I will be able to identify their designer. I have Gianvito Rossi in mind, but nothing to prove it. She also wore Prada sunglasses and a golden Shamballa Jewels bracelet.

Day four is here and the royal family arrived to Paamiut around noon. No doubt that Frederik and Mary really seem to enjoy the time in Greenland especially because all four children are there with them. I have never visited Greenland, but I think it is a marvelous experience. Something that can impress everyone. Another great thing about this visit, is that we get to see the kids much more than usually. For instance, all four attended along with their parents the visit at the Family Centre Tiloq. One cute moment to notice is when shy Princess Josephine asked to give one of the babies a little kiss on his cheek. So sweet! Later on the Crown Prince couple were present at a Children's Relay event, followed by the traditional Greenlandic kaffemik in Taqqissuut. Right before the family left Paamiut, the couple went for a walk at the harbor. Greenland is just a place of beautiful nature.

I was really excited when I first noticed her wearing a printed silk blouse, which by the way is from Heartmade. Mary always wears printed clothes perfectly and this print is just lovely and the wool poncho matched great with the print and colours of the blouse. A really good combination. The colour-combo looks splendid. Don't you think? I wonder if the poncho is a present or one she purchased on her own before the trip? Especially because she embrace the style wearing brown leather boots. I simply love then. Always wanted something like these, but I have never come to find anything (affordable) that suits me as good as these do her. Maybe one day. So far I haven't been able to find out where her boots are from, though I am pretty sure we have seen them before. Another details I noticed is how we get a peak of her long woolen socks. Now I can't wait to try this myself when winter arrives to Denmark. At a few pictures we get to see her wearing a pair of sunglasses and I strongly believe they are from Prada. Except from her blouse and sunglasses I only know the identify of the golden bracelet which is a Shamballa Jewels design.

The royal family arriving to Qaqortoq

We are already on day 3. Days go by quickly when the family is on overseas visits like this one. Usually there is nothing special about them arriving; they are welcomed by a small committee, music is played and the royal lady receives a bouquet of flowers. The same happened when Frederik and Mary arrived to Qaqortoq along with their four lovely children, but two things were a bit different. If you have seen the pictures, you know what I'm talking about. All six were dressed in traditional Greenlandic costumes featuring the most beautiful colours and embroidery and they all received bouquets.
Before Frederik and Mary visited Campus Kujalleq and the fish factory Avataq, all six of them planted a tree and were photographed next to it. Simply wonderful to see the children running around and having fun and greeting everyone on their way. Think their parents really enjoy sharing these experiences with their kids.

As I mentioned before all royal family members were dressed in Greenlandic national costumes. Similar costumes are seen in Norway, Sweden, the Faroe Islands and in Denmark. Back in the old days the suit were made of the fur from seals, polar bears and foxes. Since the Greenlandic people came in contact with the world outside, they came in possession of beads and the national costume changes to what we see today. The suit also change appearance depending on what part of Greenland you are coming from. The suit Mary wears are traditional for the western part; recognized because of all the colors used. The long boots is white which, symbolizing her as a younger woman. Compared to Queen Margrethes costume -her boots are red indicating that she's a bit older. She added a pair of round purple earrings matching the wonderful colors in the suit! The same earrings as in 2004 when they visited Greenland. Talking about jewellery, her bracelet is from Shamballa Jewels

Bracelet: Shamballa Jewels Royal Bracelet w. Argyle White Diamond Pavé

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary during their day in Qaqortoq

For a couple of hour or so, the Crown Prince couple visited the school Sulisartut Højskoliat, the drop-in center Neriusaaq, the nursery Inneriilat and the disability institution Ivaaraq. I was a true pleasure watching pictures from all visits, because of the residents happy faces and big laughs. Sincere happiness. And I am sure the royal couple enjoyed it as much. The atmosphere was all relaxed and though people were facing the future King and Queen of Denmark, everybody were so... relaxed. Something I have heard many say after having met the couple, is that they are always down on earth. Oh... and not to forget, Prince Christian joined them on and off during their day in Qaqortoq.

Later she changed to a bit more practical outfit. I have no idea about where it's from, but I really like the colour combination -white and brown. Do not think we have ever seen any of the pieces before, have we? Well, she had matched a pair of brown striped trousers, flat boots, a white turtleneck blouse and of course that brown fur vest. Love how her hair looks more than perfect next to what she was wearing. Think I see a pair of large diamond earrings, such as a diamond ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and her golden Shamballa Jewels bracelet featuring a pink diamond ball. Though it is a rather simple outfit I like everything about it.

End of day 3.

The royal family in Aalluitsup Paa

When the royal couple and their oldest son Prince Christian arrived to Aalluitsup Paa it was pouring down. Despite rain all three seemed to be in a splendid mood. Not much time for outside fun, still they were warmly welcomed and Mary was given a beautiful bouquet of flowers. In Aalluitsup Paa they both visited their new church, a local nursery Muka where they were met by a handfull of a bit shy children and along with Christian the couple attended kaffemik. Kaffemik is a Greenlandic tradition where people gather for a chat and cop of coffee or two. Well I have to say that I simply love to see Frederik and Mary on an official job with Christian. It was all relaxed and to me it looks like he had a great day with his parents. After a couple of hours it was time to leave Aalluitsup Paa -and yes it was still raining.

No doubt that the weather was the reason why all three royal family members were dressed, from head to toe, in rainproof outwear and warm boots. This was how they arrived by boat to the city Aalluitsup Paa in South of Greenland which by the way is Mary's first time in that part of Greenland -and of course Prince Christian too. Frederik and Mary both wore black rainwear from 66North and Christian wore a green and navy blue set from North face. Inside, and away from rain, Mary and her oldest son showed up in the same dark blue down jacket which could be from Moncler. I haven been able to find a picture that shows a logo which is why I am not completely sure, but it looks a lot like something Moncler would have in their assortment. I also suggest Moncler because previous we have seen Mary in their down jackets. Oh.. and not to forget Mary was also wearing a light grey knitted hat that reminds me a lot of her wool hats from Susanne Juul.

The royal faily in Nanortalik

Luckily the weather was way better in Nanortalik than in Aalluitsup Paa when the Crown Prince couple and their four lovely children arrived with Dannebrog. Prince Christian and Princess Isabella were the first two off board closely followed by their parents and younger siblings. Prince Vincent did not leave his father at any moment, not did Princess Josephine leave her mother one second at the arrival. Understandable. But Christian and Isabella went, on their own, straight to shake hands and say hi to the attendance who'd showed up. I'm sure the royal couple were very proud of their children -all of them. Both Mary and Isabella was given a bouquet of flowers which Josephine found very interesting. For three hours the Danish royal family stayed in Nanortalik, then boarded Dannebrog again to proceed to Qaqortoq where they were supposed to be the following day. This was already end of day two; a day with lots of smiles, a museum visit, a guided tour in Nanortalik and of course also the traditional 'kaffemik'.

I completely lost my breath when Mary on their second day was more than perfectly dressed in everything from green to black. Simply stunning. I am totally in love with her outfit; the match of materials and colours are magnificent. Really lovely how she combined a new moss green blazer, a cosy darker green turtleneck with a pair of black trousers. A classy, stylish and warm outfit for another day in Greenland. It was suggested at Princesses76 that her new blazer could be from Ralph Lauren (Blue Label collection) and with help from another sweet reader I can confirm that Cécile was absolutely right about the blazer! Later I found out that Catherine, Duchess of Cambrige has the exact same one. Two women, same taste in blazers. I still do not know a thing about the turtleneck, maybe you do? What I know is that the heeled ankle boots was worn by her at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Not that I know where they are from, because I don't but I'm still looking. This is the first time we see her wear high heels since she arrived to Greenland. Her outfit really impressed my and even more when I noticed the diamond studs from Hartmann's and Shamballa Jewels bracelet. As Marilyn Monroe said diamond are a girl's best friend. For sure they are! I wasn't disappointed at all. And of course her makeup and hair was flawless as usual.

The royal family's arrival to Dannebrog

The last few days have been very busy and I know I'm way behind keeping up with the updates from their visit to Greenland, something I hope to rectify now. We have to start somewhere, so I think I will be when the royal family arrived to Dannebrog in Copenhagen. They are traveling by ship to visit Greenland something Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik have been during for many years, such as the Queen and her mother and father did back in the old day. Now the tradition has pasted on and it is time for the future King and Queen to make the tradition their own. This is also the first time the Crown Prince couple's four children are visiting Greenland, which I believe they have all been looking forward to with great pleasure.

Arriving to Dannebrog Mary was dressed perfectly in an outfit I would love to wear myself! I am a huge fan of navy blue, sprites and brown leather, exactly what she was wearing. Navy blue and brown always makes a great match. The first thing I noticed was her blue Zara (2012 collection) blazer seen for the first time when Frederik and her visited London to attend the Olympic games. I'm very pleased to see her in it again and with that black and white striped blouse, well nothing could be any better. I strongly believe she's wearing black trousers and not blue as some of you suggested. No matter what colour they are, they look gorgeous with the rest of the outfit especially because of the navy blue suede wedges from L.K. Bennett. Who wouldn't want a pair on their own? I assure you they would look good on my too. Then I mentioned something about brown as well; that's her handmade Ralph Lauren bag I was talking about. Think I see a pair of diamond studs too and possibly also her Shamballa Jewels bracelet. Oh... and of course, that baby blue scarf I still do not know a thing about. A rather simple outfit to try on your own and very inspirational if you need that too for your next look. To me she really nailed it!

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary in Igaliko

First of all I have to say; it is simply wonderful to see of all of them together on this trip! I think it's great they let the kids come with them and they really seem to enjoy themselves already -the kids I mean. At the arrival all four children were given presents which were quickly unpacked. Inside were warm and cosy wool sweaters in brown colours. By brining the kids the atmosphere was also another, more relaxed. Everyone who would like to say hi and shake hands with the royals just did. Especially Mary took plenty of time to talk with everyone she met. And of course there was time for Christian and his siblings to run around and enjoy themselves -they climbed on the rocks, was laughing and had lots of fun with each other. Meanwhile, Frederik and Mary payed attention to... well almost everything else from journalists to kids and the beautiful mountains surround them in Igaliko. I have never been to Greenland myself, but I think it is one of the most beautiful experiences you can have if you enjoy nature.

A bit more nature and a bit more South Greenland means it's time for a quick change of clothes. That is exactly what Mary did. No more striped blouse or heeled wedges, but still something navy blue. What she had changed to was a lovely blue cosy turtleneck blouse seen a other occasions (among others this here from 2012 on occasion of Mary's 40th birthday), a pair of black tight jeans and warm winter jacket featuring a fur collar. I am pretty sure the jacket is a yet another reuse, but I simply can't remember when and where we have seen it. Do you? So far I haven't been able to tell you anything about where her clothes are from and I still can't, but with some help from sweet Cécile from Princessesblog76 I can tell you that her new suede ankle boots are from designer Etolie Isabel Marant. Not a pair of boots I even would have believed to see Mary wear, though I have to admit they match her style quite well actually. They do great with the trousers she had chosen. Shamballa Jewels is the designer of her pink diamond ball bracelet. Love the way her hair turned out. Am I the only one who think hair, makeup and clothes makes her look all... clear and fresh?

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary in Narsaq

It was a lovely sight when the royal family members arrived by ship to Narsaq. People from near and far was there to welcome the family. Both Mary and her two daughters Isabella and Josephine were given small bouquets of flowers at the arrival. Then it was time for them to meet some of the attendances. The wonderful welcoming ceremony was followed by a visit at the local cultural center A21, at an art workshop, a retirement home such as the museum in Narsaq. These visits was without any children. From what I see on the pictures I believe both Frederik and Mary and everyone they met during their first day in Narsaq enjoyed their day. We saw lots of smiles and many laughs that day right from the second they arrived to Greenland in the morning.

Not much had changed when Mary and her sweet family later that day arrived to Narsaq; she was stil keeping warm in a blue turtleneck blouse, black tight trousers and her new Etolie Isabel Marant boots. Though much of it had not changed, a few things had. Instead of a black winter coat featuring a fur collar she looked dazzling in an old Ralph Lauren (POLO collection) cape featuring black leather details and a couple buckles. It was back in 2010 at the time of the Queens 70th birthday, Mary wore the cape in the morning when family and friends woke her up with a birthday song, which by the way is another lovely tradition the family has. She added a pair of aquamarine blue earrings and a black pearl necklace both from Marianne Dulong. Looking a bit closer at the pictures I think I see a pair of Prada sunglasses to. What I love most about this outfit then it has to be the combination of the blue turtleneck blouse and black wool cape. Everyone should have such a cape!

Billund: A Day in Legoland

Friday, July 25th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary enjoyed a day in Legoland along with their four children such as Prince Nikolai and his younger brother Prince Felix.

It has become a tradition for Frederik and Mary to bring their chilren to Legoland, Billund, when they are visiting the Queen and her husband during the holiday at Gråsten castle. The couple spend the day in Legoland this years as well along with Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. Their two older counsins Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix joined them for a fun day in Legoland, which I really belive it was. The kids were running around having fun, trying all kinds of rides enjoying themselves along with their parents. The atmosphere is always very relaxed, as seen when for instance Mary walks around with a cop a coffee in one hand and her youngest daugther in the other hand. I'm sure these days makes great memories for all of them.

Both in public and private has Mary proven how fashionable she is, even for a day in Legoland when the weather is perfect for a summer dress and a casual hairstyle. I would love to have her sense of style on "boring" everydays -so watch and learn from the best if you need a little inspiration. The Crown Princess were dressed in a lovely black lace dress which is differenetly new to me. It really has been a nightmare to figure out where this new dress is from and I still do not have the answer. One of my fabulous readers from Tesouras & Tiaras mentioned a model from a band called SEA. I see the similarities, but I'm not sure it's quite the same. Do you have any ideas where it's from? Maybe you are the one to help me ID it. To match the casual style she wore a pair of beautiful brown sandals from Prada such as a Ralph Lauren leather bag. Two pretty amazing accessories I'd love to add to my wardrobe. Then she was wearing a pair of relatively new Dolce & Gabbana cat eye shades such as a golden Orit Elhanati necklace and her Shamballa Jewels bracelet. Last but not least Mary added a her new turquoise ring to make the outfit even more stylish. Now I know how to wear my black lace dress the next time!
