Presentation of the EliteForsk Prizes

24 February

The EliteForsk Prizes were first presented in 2007 and is a handed over by the Minister of Education and Research. Since 2007, the Crown Princess has attended the event for several years. It was also the case this year.

Crown Princess Mary was accompanied by Minister of Education and Research Jester Petersen, when the prizes were handed over at Moltkes Palace in Copenhagen.

The EliteForsk Prizes are presented each year to create as much awareness as possible on leading scientist from each their field of experience. This year, Crown Princess Mary presented five winning scientists: Professor Anne Ladegaard Skov, Professor Anton PottegÄrd, Professor Felix Riede, Professor Naja Hulvej Rod and Professor Sune Lehmann. They are given 200,000 Danish kroner as a personal honorary award and 1 million Danish kroner to support their research.

Traveling scholarships were also handed over to 20 ph.d. students valued 200,000 Danish kroner. The money are given to support a long-term study stays in an international research environment. Congratulations to all of them and thanks for all their hard (and important) work.

When arriving to Moltkes Palace, Mary showed how to wear a many year old coat. It is a Prada design. Over the years, it has become one of her most beloved coats. Both for more private occasions and officials events. She matched it with simple black trousers and a brand new printed blouse. With some help from one of you my beloved readers, I am now able to tell that Mary's new blouse is from Britt Sisseck. Apparently, it is from a late 2021 collection.

Mary accessorized her lovely outfit with diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe - her cool go-to earrings. She also flashed a magnificent golden ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry. A closer look at the ring revealed her, very unusual, nail polish. This is differently the first time she wears such an imaginative nail design.

She created a beautiful silhouette by wearing a black Isabel Marant leather belt. It made her look super chic! Paired with an exclusive Quidam clutch and black pointed Gianvito Rossi pumps, Mary made this look work very well.

A visit from Cambridge

23 February

Something I know many of you have been waiting for with great excitement took place this Wednesday. The Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine, paid a visit to Copenhagen. She was friendly welcomed by Queen Margrethe and Crown Princess Mary around noon with an official welcoming ceremony at Christian IX's Palace at Amalienborg. The three of them already had a lovely time, when meeting the journalists and photographers.

After the welcoming ceremony, the Duchess enjoyed lunch at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg with Crown Princess Mary as hostess. They surprised people at the Amalieborg Square, because they took the walk from Christian IX's Palace to Frederik VIII's Palace by foot. I guess the two of them had a great lunch with smalltalk and wonderful food.

Afterwards, the Duchess and the Crown Princess accompanied each other and visited Danner Crisis Center along with the Mary Foundation. The Duchess of Cambridge was introduced to the Mary Foundations program and projects for children at crisis centers. As part of the introductions, she was also getting to know about the Mary Foundations special backpacks. The contain "everything" a child would need arriving to a crisis center and are given to more than 2,000 children every year. These children often arrive to the centers without the most basic things like toothbrushes, school stuff, etc.

I was not disappointed, when I saw that Mary was wearing and copy-cat-outfit - if that is even a word, but it covers what she was wearing. Because the outfit was indeed reused. More than once, did Mary wear this lovely white tweed coat matched with a simple black dress. It looks so comfortable, right? Wish I had a coat like that. It goes way back and has even changed over time. Unfortunately, I have never been able to identify where it is from, but with the knowledge that she added it to her wardrobe early on, I guess it could be tailored. Much of clothes was back then. The black dress is also a mystery.

Mary accessorized her fine look with white pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. These has to be her all-time favourite earrings of them all. The matching ring was added later, but is from the same talented creator. A close look reveal that she was also wearing an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond band along with her engagement ring.

The black leather clutch from Diane von Furstenberg was a beautiful addition to the rest of the outfit. Although, I would have loved a more colourfull bag or clutch. She stunned wearing black tights, Gianvito Rossy pointed pumps and a black scarf.

"Mary 50 years - we celebrate Denmark's Crown Princess"

06 February

Last but not least, Crown Princess Mary was celebrated with a tv-show called "Mary 50 years - we celebrate Denmark's Crown Princess" by TV2 on Sunday evening. She was accompanied by her husband and all four children. It was lovely to see the whole family together. But of course, we all want to celebrate her - including family and friends.

The showed gathered people, music, video clips, etc from her time as Crown Princess. From her 20 years in Denmark. The show included a little surprise, because her four children had been interviewed about their mother (here). They shared glimpses of how their mother is, how dedicated she is and the fact that her accent is sometimes a bit troubled. Apparently, the Crown Princess thinks she speaks perfectly even though her children try to teach their mother.

Crown Princess Mary was truly honoured and very emotional - we get it right?

Mary looked absolutely great in a black and red outfit. That red colour is simply wonderful on her. The blouse and matching skirt are custom-made by Danish designer Claes Iversen. Its details are exquisite! At the arrival, she wore her beloved black Prada coat. The curls made the outfit complete. Even without any other accessorized, the hair and clothes would do to me.

The golden diamond ring is created by the talented designer Rebekka Notkin. She is also the master behind the rather large golden bangle. A stunning combo. Looked great with the diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and her Cartier bracelet.

I do not quite get it: Mary had chosen dark red suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi. But the colour is a bit off. She has bright red pumps that would match the outfit much better, but instead she wore these darker coloured pumps. Do you get it? But I really like the patent leather clutch from Sergio Rossi with the rest of the look.

"Mary 50 years - You can only be yourself"

05 February

Saturday evening, the Danish tv-channel Denmark's Radio broadcasted "Mary 50 years - You can only be yourself". One of the most honest and impressive tv interviews I have ever seen. She is so truly emotional. The Crown Princess and a journalist walked down back memory lane and watched footage from iconic evens of her life. Like the wedding in 2004.

Denmark's Radio also had a surprised for Crown Princess Mary - they celebrated her with a song. A song preformed by DR's girls choir, which Crown Princess Mary is patron for. The surprise touched her deeply. I understand why. It was warm butter for the sole. I cried a tear myself.

Mary looked like any other day: stunning and beautiful, when she was interview by journalist Johannes Langkilde at Denmark's Radio in Copenhagen. Denmark's Radio is a Danish tv-station also known as DR. I really like how relaxed she was. Both her attitude and her outfit. She embraced a lovely outfit by wearing an old purple, Chinese-inspired, blouse and simple black trousers. The blouse is still a true mystery to me. I do not even know where to begin. Any ideas? At the arrival, we got a glimpse of her wearing a black Prada coat. An old one too - and very loved by Mary.

She accessorized her outfit with golden diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe. These has to be one of her favourite pair of earrings of all time. Mary added them to her jewellery box some years ago and has worn them so many times already. The same goes with the golden Cartier bangle and the magnificent black pearl bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry. She matched it with a ring featuring the same dark pearl.

Beginning of the interview, when she arrived to Denmark's Radio in Copenhagen, we see that Mary was wearing a beloved pair of Gianvito Rossi ankle boots. They seems to be a favourite of hers too. The amazing leather handbag is a Ralph Lauren creation. Wish that was in my wardrobe. Maybe one day.

Exclusive birthday interview with Jyllands-Posten

05 February

We have already had the chance of reading plenty of personal and exclusive birthday interview in Billed Bladet (here), Financial Times (here) and now Jyllands-Posten (here). She was interview about her role as mother, what it is like to have teenagers in the house, what she has achieved so far and her work as Crown Princess.

Stine Bidstrup captured some wonderful photos of the Crown Princess at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg (here). The light in those photos are absolutely outstanding. Once I wanted to be a professional photographer and this is exactly why. To make beautiful photos like these.

Mary really stunned in these new photos by Stine Bidstrup! She was wearing one of her old Victoria Beckham blouses and a rather new Mark Kenly Domino Tan full skirt in midi length. We first saw the skirt at the preparations of her Koldinghus exhibition (here). The blouse was seen at, among others, the inauguration of Herlev's new Emergency Room and Woman-Child Center (here).

She accessorized this amazing outfit with several golden jewellery. Like the golden diamond earrings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Their designs are always incredible. Just look at them. They are small leaves covered in diamonds! Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen is also the talented master behind Mary's new large ring. I hope to get a better look at it one day. A third diamond band is also from the Copenhagen based designer. Another one of her bracelets are Cartier and a second one, Dulong Fine Jewelry. I see one more, but at the moment, I do not recognize it.

Congratulations to Crown Princess Mary!

05 February

Today, Crown Princess Mary celebrate her 50th birthday. Let us congratulate her with this big day! For quite some time, we have had the pleasure of celebrating her and it continues.

This morning, the royal court shared a new portrait of the Crown Princess. Such a stunning photo. Photographer Hasse Nielsen is the one who captured this glimpse of her. She looks so beautiful and dreamy. I would have this in a frame on my wall.

The Crown Princess also surprised all of us because she showed up in front of Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg to greet all of the Danes, who wanted to congratulate her (here). Prince Christian, Princess Isabella and Prince Vincent accompanied their mother and thanked all of them with huge smiles.

Mary gave a number of exclusive interviews on occasion of her birthday. Hasse Nielsen is the photographer of many of the new photos published along with the interviews. The gorgeous outfit she was wearing in the new official portrait has also been seen before. Her stunning sequin gown is a creation by Jenny Peckham. Just look at that colour. It is really magnificent next to her fair skin and dark brown hair. She embraced the style with a couple of diamond rings - one of them is from Dulong Fine Jewelry - and her beloved golden Cartier bangle. Her love bracelet.

The outfit she wore at the greeting in from of Amalienborg was lovely. This is truly wonderful to see her in these relaxed and cosy outfits. Without makeup and all natural. I guess this is why we love her. Heaven managed to identify Mary's brand new trousers as Britt Sisseck. I hope she will wear them on a more official occasion with some heels. The navy blue turtleneck is also new. It is not identified yet, but the style is so close to Ralph Lauren that I strongly believe they could be the designer. She wore a Kknekki hairband and her Cartier bracelet as a match. The glasses are from Gucci.

New family photos

04 February

Hasse Nielsen captured the new family photos of the Crown Prince family (here). The photos were taken on occasion of the Crown Princesses 50th birthday, which she will celebrate tomorrow, at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg - their beloved home.

Now we know that she will celebrate her birthday privately with family and friends at Frederik VIII's Palace. The plan were to celebrate her with a grand dinner on February 4th at Rosenborg Castle, but due to the current situation with the pandemic it has been cancelled.

I love that the whole family were wearing (almost) the exact same outfits. White button-downs and loose jeans. Mary was the only one wearing other trousers, but really, it is also her birthday and "her" photos. Heaven managed to identify these brand new caramel coloured trousers as Cholé. What a find! She also matched it with a white button-down.

The golden diamond earrings are a design by Sophie Bille Brahe. A pair of very cool and chic earrings. Still not my favourite design, but Mary seems to love them very much. The beautiful golden "medalion" necklace is from talented Rebekka Notkin. She also wore a few golden bracelet. One from Cartier and another one from Dulong Fine Jewelry. I really like when Mary wears multiple bracelets like these. The third diamond ring on her right hand is an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen ring. I like that she wears it with her engagement ring and that other diamond band. Looks good, right?

It was a clever match with the Gianvito Rossi light brown suede pumps. Wearing same-colour outfits is what Mary does best. She match colours like no one else.

A new postal stamp

04 February

Photographer Stine Heilmann is the women behind two new photo of the Crown Princess (here). One of the photos cover a new postal stamp in Greenland published by the Greenlandic the Greenlandic telecommunications and postal company, Tusass. The background of the photos were created by Lise Trampedach. She also created other backgrounds for Stine Heilmann (here).

Crown Princess Mary asked for the money that are gathered from selling the stamps goes to MĂŠlkebĂžttecentret in Nuuk. MĂŠlkebĂžttecentret is an activity center for children and young people and a crisis center. It also works as a 24-hour ward for acute placement of socially disadvantaged children and young people from the age of 3 to 11 years.

On the new postal stamps, Mary was wearing the traditional Greenlandic National Costume. A stunning colourful costume. It looks absolutely great with her fair skin and dark brown hair. The colours are strong and powerful. Just like Mary.

The delicate Rosen Quartz earrings are from Dulong Fine Jewelry. They go way back in time from around the time she first appeared in public before even marring Frederik. One time, she wore the earrings at the presentation of the Kidney Research Award in 2007, when she was pregnant med Isabella (here). Mary also wore them at the reopening of the royal house stables at Christiansborg in 2009 (here).

Exclusive birthday interview with How to spend it

04 February

How to spend it made an article too about the Crown Princess with many of the same photos as in Financial Times (here). They photos were taken by photographer Hasse Nielsen. Crown Princess Mary was interview to How to spend it by journalist Anders Christian Madsen. The interview took place at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg. Hasse Nielsen also share a few photos from the How to spend it interview (here).

The Crown Princess was wearing almost the exact same outfit as when she was interview for Billed Bladet (here). She only added a rather large white pearl necklace. I like this outfit so much that I tried it myself. It differently works. You should try it.

The opening of "H.R.H. Crown Princess Mary 1972 – 2022"

03 February

On January 31st, Crown Princess Mary opened her first birthday-exhibition celebrating her 50th birthday at Koldinghus in Kolding (here). I was there when the royal couple arrived. It was such a pleasure. A couple of days later, she was accompanied by her family, when she was about to open "H.R.H. Crown Princess Mary 1972 - 2022" at the The National History Museum at Frederiksborg Castle.

The exhibition tells the story about her life. Portraits, galla dresses, her wedding gown and personal objects are on exhibition. Everything that makes Mary to the Crown Princess we know are exhibited at Frederikborg.

A new portrait of the Crown Princess was also revealed by the crown Princess herself. The portrait is absolutely stunning. The man behind the portrait is the spanishborn artist JesĂșs Herrera MartĂnez. It was staged in her private workspace at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg. Princess Josephines helped her mother, when revealing the beautiful painting.

The family were also given a tours around the exhibition. I guess it was a great pleasure for all of them. Some of her most "iconic" outfits were on display. Some of them are: hereherehereherehereherehereherehere.

I am stunned like never before. What a look. Look at those details! Impressive work. The curved edges, the full skirt and long sleeves. I cannot wait to see her wear this in the future. She wears the colour with such pride and elegance. It looks great on her, don't you think? It was designed by YDE Copenhagen and tailored by Birgit Hallstein.

The magnificent earrings and outstanding golden leaf brooch are created by talented Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The pieces are from my favourite collections of theirs. They are truly masters of this craftsmanship - working with metals and stones. She has worn both earrings and brooch before. I must say that the brooch looks perfect with her new dress. We get a glimpse of her Cartier bracelets as well.

She also embraced the style by wearing a navy blue leather clutch from Quidam and the exclusive python pumps are by Prada. I have never been able to find the same model, but a golden Prada logo proves that they are in fact the designer.

Birthday article in ALT for damerne

03 February

It was with great pleasure that I discovered that ALT for damerne made an article about Crown Princess Mary on occasion of her 50th birthday (here). ALT for damerne is a women's magazine. The article praise the Crown Princess for who she is and what she has achieved as both mother, woman, wife and the future Queen of Denmark. How she managed to give 50 a new positive reputation.

Franne Voigt is the master of the beautiful photo covering the February edition of ALT for damerne. The stunning light blue beaded gown is created by the Danish designer Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen. This has to be what we will remember as her "50th birthday look". It is simple incredible! She matched the gown with flower-shaped diamond earrings purchased on Bruun Rasmussen Auction and her HUGE blue Aquamarine ring. I think it was a gift from her husband years ago. We also get a glimpse of a diamond bracelet.

The opening of "Crown Princess Mary Center – solving problems through research and partnerships"

02 February

The "Crown Princess Mary Center - solving problems through research and partnerships" is the name of a new science center at University of Copenhagen. On February 2nd, the Crown Princess was accompanied by her husband Crown Prince Frederik, when attending the grand opening of the new center.

The Crown Princess Mary Center aims to build an interdisciplinary knowledge environment. To focus on new solutions to current societal challenges where people are at the center. The Crown Princess will also be part of the Advisory Committee connected to the center.

After the couple arrived to the University of Copenhagen, Crown Princess Mary gave a speech on occasion of the opening. Among others, she included the Danish tradition of partnerships and how this will be a central part of the new Crown Princess Mary Center.

Kongehuset ● PPE Agency ● Billed Bladet ● Billed Bladet ● Royal Portraits Gallery ● UFO No More

I do like Mary's outfit from the opening, but in my opinion, it was a bit clumsy. Maybe too many layers? She was wearing a brand new black "vest-dress". The details are so sharp and well-made. Danish designer SĂžren Le Schmidt is the master behind her new dress. The simple white blouse is a Briit Sisseck design. Worn before at, among others, the opening of the "Fashion Fair 2021" (here). The black coat looks old, but I cannot figure out when or where we have seen it. Do you recognize it?

Mary embraced the style with a lovely golden brooch featuring the most amazing purple stones. We have seen it before, but I have never been able to identify it. I think it could be purchased on an auction. The diamond studs are still mystery to me. They are so beautiful, but I do not know where they are from. Her rather large golden ring is by Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Last but not least. She accessorized her outfit with Tom Ford glasses and an exclusive black leather clutch from Quidam. A loved pieces in her wardrobe. Once again, Mary wore her purple Aquazzura boots. The colour is absolutely outstanding. One day I would really like to see them in full length. Without anything covering them. "Mary's Australian Garden"

 02 February

She has already been celebrated like a truly Queen. But the celebration is far from over. On February 2nd, the Crown Princess arrived to Copenhagen Zoo to attended an event marking the future "Mary's Australian Garden". The garden is for Australian animals. So soon, the Crown Prince family can enjoy a day in the Zoo looking at animals from Crown Princess Mary's home country.

The Crown Princess was accompanied by her two youngest, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. It came as a surprise to everyone that the twins arrived along with their mother at Copenhagen Zoo. They helped the Crown Princess plant the first tree.

The three of them was given a tour around the facilities and they fed the zoo's penguins.

Both the twins and Mary were dressed in warm clothes. Mary stunned in a reused navy blue Hoobs coat. She wore it back in December 2021 at a church service event at Christmas time. She matched the lovely coat with a brand new chunky turtleneck. I love the blue and burgundy colour as a combo. Looks absolutely smashing! The turtleneck is still unidentified. She also wore black trousers.

She accessorized the outfit with a magnificent new fedora. Mary often wear hats, but rarely at these events. This one is from Bonpoint. We get a glimpse of her beloved golden Cartier bangle and some white and yellow diamond earrings. The fine golden brooch is also a reuse. She wore it, among others, when visiting Melbourne in 2011 (here).

The heeled wedges boots are an old pair from Angulas. The characteristic brown rubber sole revealed their identity. They look so comfortable! Don't you think? The black leather gloves are a great match with the rest of the outfit.

Exclusive birthday interview with the Financial Times

02 February

Celebrating ones 50th birthday and being Crown Princess of Denmark makes the world curious. Crown Princess Mary has given quite a few interviews to several Danish medias, but she was also interviewed by the international Financial Times (here).

With the interview comes brand new photos as well. They were taken by photographer Hasse Nielsen. He is also the master behind many of the other new photos revealed on occasion of her birthday. He is indeed at very talented man.

The new photos also included brand new (outstanding!!) outfits. Look at that purple velvet suit from Temperley London. That is by definition one of my all-time favourite outfits. She looks like the most cool business women. Love how she matched it with a simple white blouse and those inherited ruby jewellery. We get a glimpse of her shoes as well. They are black suede studded Gianvito Rossi pumps.

Heaven managed to identify her impressive new rose golden gown. I do not think we have ever seen Mary in a dress like this. Somehow, it is very unusual to see her in such a design. The dress is from Jenny Peckham - one of Duchess Catherine's most beloved designers. She embraced the style with her golden Cartier bangle. I think the pink and white diamond earrings could be inherited or perhaps purchased on auction. The nude pointed pumps are her reused Prada shoes.

Her third outfit is way more a mystery to me than the first two. It could be the same outfit as the one she wore in her interview with Billed Bladet. The blouse looks new. A wonderful way of wearing a monochrome outfit. White is such a majestic colour. Cartier is the creator of her golden bracelet and the nude pumps are from Gianvito Rossi.

"Mary Elizabeth's Hospital - Riget for Children, Adolescents and Pregnant Women"

01 February

The Crown Princess welcomed February and her 50th birthday with an early surprise. It was announced that a new hospital will be named after the Crown Princess - "Mary Elizabeth's Hospital - Riget for Children, Adolescents and Pregnant Women". The new children's hospital will ready for inauguration in 2025.

The hospital is directed at children, young people and pregnant women and will include 179 single rooms, 87 outpatient rooms and 13 operating rooms. They will be incorporating play as a central part of the hospital and the patients everyday, when staying there.

Crown Princess Mary's hopes is that new way of adding play to the sentence will inspire others to do the same.

Mary dazzled in her stunning red silk blouse from Hugo Boss. I love it when she is wearing these bright and warm colours. They look so good on her. This red colour and her fair skin and dark brown are simply a perfect match. We get a tiny glimpse of a belt and what looks like trousers. I think she was wearing plan black trousers.

She accessorized her outfit with the most beautiful diamond jewellery. The exclusive flower necklace features studded clear diamonds are from Tiffany & Co. It looks amazing as a pair with the rather large diamond ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry. This is such a classic "Mary outfit". Polished, elegant, simple and super easy to wear for both day events and in evenings. Would your wear colours like this?

"Mary H.K.H."

31 January

On January 31st, a new book will be published on occasion of the Crown Princess' 50th birthday. It is called "Mary. H.K.H". The book includes many new unseen photos. Both private and more official photos. Some of them are taken by photographer Franne Voigt (here). Many more photos have been published and I think we will see plenty the next couple of days (herehereherehereherehereherehereherehereherehere). Have any of you purchased the book? I would really like to hear what you think about it. I guess it is worth purchasing.

Identifications of the clothes are almost impossible with all the new photos. So, if you have any questions for a specific outfit or pieces of jewellery/accessory, then please let me know! I will try to answer all your requests.

Opening of "Mary og Kronprinsesserne" at Koldinghus

31 January

It was truly a day many of us had been waiting for, when Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik arrived to Koldinghus in Kolding to attend the official opening of "Mary og Kronprinsesserne". A brand new exhibition about her life and the former Crown Princesses of Denmark. The exhibition takes place on occasion of her 50th birthday.

I had the pleasure to witness their arrival myself. Over ten years ago, I saw the couple for the first time. My second time was just as wonderful. The couple is indeed lovely!

As part of the official opening, Cabinet Secretary and Director of the Royal Collection Henning Fode, and Museum Director Thomas Thulstrup, gave each their speech. The Crown Princess gave the opening speech herself. They were all given a guided tour around the exhibition. Part of the exhibition is a small "video" of the Crown Princess (here). Here she mentions that many have had the privilege to call themself 'Crown Princess', but only few have had the privilege as long as her.

Count Ingolf and Countess Sussie of Rosenborg, and Princess Benedikte also attended the opening. Princess Benedikte is patron for Koldinghus.

Mary looked absolutely splendid at the opening in Kolding. She wore her beautiful pink custom-made Claes Iversen coat. We have seen her wear this stunning piece before, but one more time does not hurt - at all! We get a little glimpse of her wearing a powder pink dress or skirt underneath. This is all I can tell. I love when she wears coats as "dresses".

She embraced the style by wearing rosy patent leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi. She must be very pleased with these pumps, because she has worn them many time before. And really, they match almost anything. The magnificent braided Bottega Veneta box clutch is also a beloved pieces of accessory in her wardrobe. It goes way back in time.

Because of her outstanding hairstyle, we get a really get look at her pink and white diamond earrings. These can be adjusted in length. So far, I have not been able to identify them, but I think they could be purchased on auction. Last but not least, Mary wore her golden Cartier bracelet.

Crown Princess Mary celebrate her 50th birthday on February 5th - on Saturday. On that occasion we have already seen multiple new photos of her. We have been spoiled with a brand new book and several exclusive interviews.

I am already satisfied, but we are spoiled one more time. Photographer Hasse Nielsen had the pleasure of taking new official gala portraits of the Crown Prince Couple. All on occasion of Crown Princess Mary's 50th birthday. The photo series includes both photos of the couple and the two of them separately. They are gorgeous, don't you think?

Even though we have already seen her in this stunning Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen creation, I am overwhelmed one more time. The details are exquisite and very well-chosen. Every single bead is cared for. The new gala portraits also revealed that the babyblue gown is sprinkled with rosy pearls. It gives the dress a magnificent glow. Yes, I really like it!

Both tiara, earrings, brooch and bracelet are part of Queen Ingrid's Ruby Parure. The matching ring is later added to the parure by Mary. It was mastered by Dulong Fine Jewelry's talented goldsmith's. She also wore the elephant order, a diamond bracelet (it looks new) and some diamond rings. One of them are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Another one is her engagement ring.

Exclusive birthday interview with The Australian Women's Weekly

31 January

Photographer Franne Voigt captured some new photos of the Crown Princess for a new book, which will be published on January 31st. It is called "H.K.H. Mary". One of the photos from the book is now on the cover of the latest edition of The Australian Women's Weekly". Franne Voigt is the photographer (here). The interview also included photos by Jester Sunesen, Steen Evald, Tine Harden and some of the family's private photos (here).

Mary wore so many beautiful in the latest edition of The Australian Women's Weekly. Most of the photos and outfits are brand new for us. Like the one on the cover. I made identifications of each outfit in chronological order from this post here. Hopefully, it is clear who, what, where and when. Photos like these really inspire me. Especially, her more private looks are a great inspiration for me. They are often easy to wear and easy to copy. Any of the new outfits you want to try out yourself? Or many a pieces of jewellery you would like to add to your wardrobe?

Danmarks Indsamling 2022

29 January

Since 2007, "Danmarks Indsamling" has been an annual event with the aim of raising money to help people in some of the world's poorest countries and hereby achieve the UN's Development Goals (here). "Danmarks Indsamling" is a joint collaboration between 12 of the largest humanitarian organizations in Denmark and Danmarks Radio - a Danish television channel. They raise money to developing countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia.

For many years, the Royal Couple and the Crown Prince Couple have supported the gatering. This year, the Queen Margrethe's and Prince Henrik's Foundation have donated 500,000 Danish Kroner and the Crown Prince Frederik's and Crown Princess Mary's Foundation donated 300,000 Danish Kroner. Total 800,000 Danish Kroner.

All the money gathered at "Danmarks Indsamling 2022" will this year help children living with consequences of the pandemic in some of the world's poorest countries. The help will include development projects to ensure that children have access to clean drinking water, make sure they receive an education and have access to medial care.

An interview with the Crown Princess was broadcasted as part of the show. The interview was taped, when she was on a more private visit to Burkina Faso a few months ago.

Exclusive birthday interview with EUROWOMAN

27 January

Last, but not least Crown Princess Mary gave an exclusive interview in the Danish magazine EUROWOMAN. It was released on January 27 (hereherehere). New photos were taken at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg for the interview. The photographer is Sarah Stenfeldt. The Crown Princess talked to EUROWOMAN about, among others, her role as Crown Princes, how to be the voice for those who need it and her love for nature.

More new outfits! What a treat. We are truly being spoiled these days. Thanks for her Turing 50 this year. This is exactly what we need right now. In the photos for EUROWOMAN, Mary dazzled in a brand new gorgeous white blouse from Mark Kenly Domino Tan and a black midi skirt from the same designer. I learned about these to identifications from Heaven. She embraced the style with ruby red jewellery inherited from Queen Ingrid - Crown Prince Frederik's grandmother. The heeled boots are by Aquazzura and her beloved Cartier bangle.

A black and white photo was also included in the series of photos. She could be wearing a reused blue or burgundy blouse by Jesper HĂžvring and grey trousers. The grey suede belt is from Ralph Lauren.

Exclusive birthday interview with Billed Bladet

26 January

Billed Bladet has made an exclusive interview with the Crown Princess on behalf of her 50th birthday in February (here, hereherehere). The interview includes new photos of the Crown Princess as well taken in her home at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg (hereherehere). She talks about her life before moving to Denmark and her way to become Crown Princess of Denmark. The future also played a role in the interview with Billed Bladet. The beautiful photos are taken by photographer Hanne Juul.

Mary dazzled in a brand new white blouse and probably also new matching trousers. She looks so elegant. Impressing how monochrome outfits always makes me gasp for air. Makes such a polisk outfit. Mary rock these simple same-coloured clothes. It looks even more smashing with the golden jewellery. I see pieces from both Sophie Bille Brahe, Rebekka Notkin and Cartier. White and gold are really made for each other. Don't you think? The soft curls and brownish makeup are a stunning addition to her interview-look.
