Prince Henrik's confirmation

18 May 2023

To get confirmated is truly something memorable. I imagine that Count Henrik has been looking forward to this day with such excitement.

Family and friends were gathered in Frederik Church - the Danish Church in Paris to celebrate the day with Count Henrik and his family.

The ceremony was conducted by confessional bishop Henrik Wigh-Poulsen and assisted by Frederikskirken's priest Malene Bendtsen.

The Crown Prince Couple attended with all four children. All in a wonderful mood. Ready to celebrate their beloved cousin. Crown Princess Mary is one of Count Henrik's godmother's.

That a treat! Both Princess Isabella and Princess Josephine wore their mother's old clothes. Imagine the fact that you have access to Mary's wardrobe. Gosh.

Mary herself also wore a reused dress from Zimmermann. It is the first time we see it in public. She first wore it for a family photo from 2022 (here). A really beautiful dress. Even though it is a bit pale in color, it looks stunning on her.

She matched the magnificent with even more magnificent accessories. Like those brand new peach pink Gianvito Rossi slingback pumps. Gosh! I wouldn't mind wearing them with any outfit. Impressive how well they looked with the reused MaxMara handbag and golden jewellery. The two necklaces are from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau.

The delicate coral earrings are from Dulong Fine Jewelry. They come with changeable pendants. She has worn the combo a few times before. Like in South Korea 2019 (here) and when visiting Mexico in 2013 (here).

Reopening of Museum Ovartaci

17 May 2023

Crown Princess Mary attended the reopening of Museum Ovartaci in Aarhus on May 17th around noon.

Museum Ovartaci has a very unique history. It is build on two exhibitions: a psychiatry historical exhibition and an internationally recognized art collection of works created by people with psychiatric diagnoses. The museum is named after the artist Ovartaci (Louis Marcussen). He was hospitalized at Psychiatric Hospital in Risskov for 56 years. During his time, he created numerous masterpieces - also on display.

This is truly the outfit I needed to spike my spring vibe. She looked absolutely stunning at the reopening in her reused ba&sh printed blouse and Chloe caramel colored trousers. I really love this outfit. She wore the blouse when meeting a new board member of the Mary Foundation in 2020 (here) and the trousers in new family photos from 2022 (here).

Mary accessorized her beautiful look with golden necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. I also see golden earrings but I can't figure if they are new or old. Ideas? We get a glimpse of a matching diamond bangle from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen as well.

The smashing brown suede pointed pumps are old ones from Gianvito Rossi. Mary also wore them with another one of my most beloved outfits at the launch of the 2022 UNFPA "State of World Population Report" (here).

Visiting nature gift project with WWF

17 May 2023

It was as patron for the WWF World Wild Fund for Nature that Crown Princess Mary visited Geding-Kasted swamp to fight for biodiversity.

The World Wild Fund for Nature has established a new home in Geding-Kasted swamp to house the small frog - the tree frog. Crown Princess Mary took part of inaugurate their new home.

She was accompanied by Jacob Bundgaard - Mayor in Aarhus, when setting free frogs and tadpoles. To create the perfect livingspace for the tree frog, she also helped plant trees.

It was a magical moment when Mary visited Geding-Kasted swamp. She was in a wonderful mood all dressed in comfortable and practical clothes. The lovely Härlika jacket is new, but I imagine she has worn it on private occasions. It is great for outdoor workings. The Seeland vest is a reuse worn on a number of different occasions. Like, when attending the Hubertus Hunt in 2022 (here). Mary matched her look with a light brown knitted blouse and greenish trousers. The fine cable-knit sweater is from Ralph Lauren.

What better than wearing new black rubber boots from Le Chameau.

If you take a close look, you will see that Mary actually wore quite a few pieces of jewellery as well. The fine diamond studded earrings are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The same designer also created her diamond bangle and matching rings.

I think she was wearing a golden bracelet are two as well, but I need more photos to confirm.

Girls Choir concert "DR Girls Choir +"

14 May 2023

Crown Princess Mary has acted as patron for DR Girls Choir since 2018. The 50 girls share wonderful musical moments in Denmark and abroad.

Artistic leader for the girls choir Anne Karine Prip, singer Amanda Baasch Andersen and cultural Director of DR (Denmark's Radio) Henrik Bo Nielsen welcomed the Crown Princess when she arrived to DR Concert Hall in Copenhagen.

After the concert, she had the honor of meeting the choir for a little chat.

Mary looked absolutely stunning at the concert. I also loved that No 21 dress. The color is outstanding and its silhouette is wonderful on her. She has worn the dress before. Among others, when celebrating Crown Prince Frederik, when he turned 50 a few year back (here).

At the concert, she embraced the style by wearing magical earrings created by Annikat. Amazing how they matched the dress. We also get a glimpse of the 'F'-necklace from Halberstadt and her initials necklace from Julie Sandlau.

The beautiful mesh pumps are also a reuse. They are from Gianvito Rossi. She has worn them at the christening of Prince Oscar of Sweden in 2016 (here), when visiting Japan in 2017 (here), at Milan Design Week in 2021 (here). The list goes on. The black box clutch is a Sergio Rossi design.

Happy 19th anniversary!

Today, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary! Imagine it being 19 years since this wonderful couple got married. Can't believe it.

This year, they share their wedding anniversary with Mother's Day. Crown Prince Frederik made a special post on social media congratulating his wife and the mother of his children.

"My wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary today. A very special day for the both of us. One we both like to celebrate - also with our four children. This year, it is also Mother's Day. Therefore, a special greeting to you, Mary, as wife and mother. I also want to wish every mother around the country a happy Mother's Day"

- Crown Prince Frederik

Mary looked beautiful next to sweet little Princess Josephine. When enjoying ice cream with her family (probably during summer time), Mary looked stunning in her white Style Butler blouse and jewellery from Dulong Fine Jewelry, Orit Elhanati and Anni Lu. This combo makes me believe that the photo is a few years old from one of their vacations. The sunglasses? They are masterpieces from Dolce & Gabbana.

A Mary Foundation conference

11 May 2023

Crown Princess Mary attended as President of the Mary Foundation the "Photos of Loneliness" conference in Odense. The conference pictures loneliness and unhappiness among young people.

She was warmly welcomed by CEO of the Mary Foundation Helle Østergaard, CEO of the Ebbefos Foundation Illa Westrup Stephensen and two members of the Mary Foundation's Young panel Sebastian Heller and Noa Morris.

The Crown Princess gave the opening speech as guest of honor.

At the conference, Mary had chosen a really beautiful bright green reused suit from ZARA. A match made in heaven! I adore the green color on her and she wears a suit with such elegance. She matched it with a simple white blouse. It almost looks like a t-shirt. Mary has worn the blazer once before, when attending a Presidium meeting with WWF World Wild Fund for Nature in 2022 (here).

Mary accessorized her outfit with brown tortoise-like glasses from Gucci. They have become favorites of hers since she started wearing glasses. And we like them, right? She has also become very fond of those two necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. Their bear the initials of her loved ones - Frederik, Christian, Isabella, Vincent and Josephine.

I am pretty sure she was wearing a brand new golden ring studded with diamonds. I think it could be from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen (here).

Mary also embraced the style with incredible green leather pumps from Valentino. True classics such as the stunning Ralph Lauren bag.

Opening of "Children Need Arts - Global Summit"

&

Visiting Daycare Center Christianehøj

09 May 2023

Crown Princess Mary was warmly welcomed by children and young people from both Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Island, when she arrived to attend the opening of the international children's culture summit "Children Need Arts - Global Summit".

The summit acknowledges the importance of arts and its cultural meaning for children and young people and its impact on their self worth, potential and opportunities.

Around noon, the Crown Princess attended the 50th anniversary of Daycare Center Christianehøj. It was celebrated with songs, lots of balloons and some speeches.

For 50 years, Christianehøj has taken care of citizens with a late brain injury in Gladsaxe Municipality. Part of the citizens everyday is among others yoga, musicquizzes, sining, etc.

At the opening of "Children Need Arts - Global Summit"

When visiting Daycare Center Christianehøj

Dressed to impress! Mary dazzled wearing her bright red Dolce & Gabbana dress. Wonderful for celebrating both the opening of "Children Need Arts - Global Summit" and the 50th anniversary of Daycare Center Christianehøj.

She matched the beautiful dress with magnificent suedes red reused pumps from Gianvito Rossi. One time, she wore them on a business trip in Vietnam (here).

The delicate and elegant necklaces are from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. Necklaces I imagine means of great deal to her. She has worn them a lot lately.

Maybe you saw her brooch? The stunning piece was identified as Marni. I truly hope for a close-up one day. At first I thought her brooch was new, but somehow I think she has worn it before at a Christmas church service in 2016 (here) and when visiting the Jorn Museum in 2017 (here). Love when she is wearing brooches. They are my favorite piece of jewellery. That is why I really adore, when Mary is wearing brooches because it (hopefully) inspire more of us to wear these fine pieces.

Day 2. Coronation in Great Britain

06 May 2023

Royals from all over the world were gathered in London to attend the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Royals from both Sweden, Spain, Monaco, the Netherlands, Jordan, Norway, etc. were invited to Westminister Abby to attend the historical ceremony.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary represented Denmark at the coronation.

Seems like I am not the only one, who fell in love with Mary's stunning outfit at the coronation in London! She is mentioned anywhere and everywhere as one of the best dressed ladies at the ceremony. "10 point goes to Mary". I really also adore Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden's outfit (here). Like the 50s/60s vibe.

Mary's brand new coat-like-dress is created by Danish designer Søren Le Schmidt. I get it. Why she chose him to make her dress for the coronation. He did well! The details are exquisite.

Milliner Jane Taylor custom-made her hairband to match the color of her dress. Because the colors are so even, it looks like the hairpiece and dress were made of the exact same fabric.

She styled the outfit with smashing bright jewellery once worn by Queen Margrethe. The Queen gifted Mary with the earrings and brooch on her 50th birthday. She wore the earrings, when Princess Isabella was confirmated last year (here), but we have never seen her wear the brooch - and not both.

Her delicate necklaces are from Halberstadt and the medalion is Julie Sandlau.

I was thrilled to see the purple croco clutch from Carlend Copenhagen. Mary was worn it a few times before. The color is just amazing and it is very inspirational to see her wear these bright accessories. Her beautiful purple suede pumps are reused ones from Gianvito Rossi.

Day 1. Coronation in Great Britain

05 May 2023

Both celebreties, friends, family and royals from all over the world have been invited to the grand coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Former, Prince of Wales became King after his belated mother, Queen Elizabeth in September 2022.

Crown Princes Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will be attending the coronation.

Prior to the coronation on May 6th, the King and Queen had invited their guests to attend a reception at Westminister Abby in London.

Mary looked dreamy and outstanding at the reception at Westminister Abby! I love the color on her next to her fair skin and stunning dark brown hair. Do you remember when she first wore the Andrew GN dress? Exactly. At Princess Isabella's confirmation in April 2022 (here).

In London, she had chosen simple diamond earrings once purchased on an Bruun Rasmussen auction. Mary has worn them before on several different occasions (here, here, here). Again, she was wearing her Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces.

I was thrilled, when I realized Mary had styled the outfit with an old Prada clutch. It goes back to 2011, when Prince Albert of Monaco married Charlene Wittstock (here). The nude leather pumps from Prada looked amazing with the rest of the outfit.

DINNER

Apparently, the Crown Prince Couple also attended a dinner after the reception on occasion of the Coronation. It took place at Mayfair Club Oswald (here, here).

Mary was wearing a brand new printed dress for the dinner. It was identified as Etro. I really like the combination of a simple black dress with a little "sparkle of colors". The print and colors are very modest which makes it a wonderful dress to wear at so many different occasions.

She styled it with necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. The black glitter clutch goes way back. Think she wore it first in 2008 (here). Her black sling-backs are also old ones from Arteana.

The Home Guard's May 4th parade

04 May 2023

Crown Princess Mary participated the Home Guard's May 4th parade at Kastellet in Copenhagen Thursday evening.

May 4th is a very special day in Denmark. On May 4th 1945, Denmark was liberated from the germans. It is celebrated every year, among others, with candle lights in the windows. The day is also celebrated in other ways. In Copenhagen they do a parade (the one Crown Princess Mary participated). Where I come from, we honor the day with a candle light parade through the city and a huge light show and fireworks.

Another thing also happened. Crown Princess Mary was appointed Mayor á la suite. This means that she has the right to wear the uniform without serving in the position.

... and that is exactly what she did. Mary was beautifully dressed in her Home Guard uniform at the May 4th parade at Kastellet.

Instead of commenting on her outfit, I decided to focus a bit more on her medals and medals of honor. She wore three different medals.

(from left to right)

The Home Guard Medal of Merit goes back to 1959. It is awarded by royal decree on the recommendation of the Ministry of Defence. The medal is given to a person who has made a particularly meritorious effort for the benefit of the Home Guard as well as impeccable character in the service and in private life.

Queen Margrethe's Ruby Jubilee Commemorative Medal was rewarded to the royal family, the Court's employees and a few others on occasion of the Queen's 50th jubilee in 2022.

The main organization of Personnel of the Reserve Medal of Honor was instituted on 27 April 1950 after having obtained His Majesty King Frederik IX's approval on 22 February 1950. It is award to persons who have made a special effort for the Reserve and The main organization for Personnel of the Reserve in Denmark in particular. Crown Princess Mary received the medal in 2022.

Order of the Elephant also comes with a medal shaped as a star and not "just" the elephant attached to a blue ribbon. It goes back to 15th century and is the most prestigious order in Denmark. Crown Princess Mary received the medal on May 8th 2004.

Meeting with the Mary Foundation's Presidium

04 May 2023

Since 2007, the Mary Foundation has help so many people both in Denmark and abroad with project taking care of and preventing partner violence, bullying amongst children, solitude amongst young people.

The foundation work together with many different partners to make it all happen. On May 4th, Crown Princess Mary met with the Presidum on partners to thank them for their hard work and collaboration.

Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg was the location of the meeting.

Mary dazzled in a reused polka dotted dress from Carolina Herrera. She first wore it at opening of "Golden Festival Days" in 2019 (here) and later in Milan at "Milan Design Week 2021" (here). I like it both with and without the belt. What do you favor?

She accessorized the dress with Tom Ford glasses and stunning diamond studs. They have never been identified. Halberstadt is master of the small 'F' necklace and Julie Sandlau created the initials medalion.

We get a glimpse of her golden Rebekka Notkin bangle and diamond band rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

Presenting the Crown Princess Mary Scholarships 2023

03 May 2023

Every year, two exchange students from the University of Copenhagen's Australian partner universities are awarded with The Crown Princess Mary Scholarship in connection with their stay in Denmark.

The 10,000 Danish Kroner scholarship is always handed over by the Crown Princess herself and University of Copenhagen. It gives a helping hand to the Australian students, who chose Denmark as their study city.

The Australian ambassador Kerin Ayyalaraju and Principal at University of Copenhagen Henrik Wegner accompanied Crown Princess Mary at this years ceremony. The two scholarship were given to Joel Finn Wills and Eliya Neely.

Somehow, I always looked forward to her presenting the winners of the Crown Princess Mary Scholarship. She always seems to delighted and proud of the students. And she wears the most beautiful outfits.

This year, Mary wore the most stunning new Zimmermann blouse. I simply adore the colours on her. Light, summery and fresh. She matched it with wide-legged black trousers. Usually, she does not wear trousers with that width, but she nailed it! The thin belt gave her a lovely silhouette.

When visiting Vanuatu, Fiji and later Sydney, she became fund of wearing many of the same pieces of jewellery. She wore many of the same pieces at the presentation. A golden Rebekka Notkin bangle and matching ring. The curvy bangle is from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Mary also embarked the style with an old Quidam clutch a blue suede (ankle?) boots.

"Womenomics Nordic DE&I Conference"

02 May 2023

Crown Princess Mary was guest of honor and keynote speaker at the opening of "The Womenomics Nordic DE&I Conference" on May 2nd. The conference took place at Østre Gasværk's Teatre in Copenhagen.

"The Womenomics Nordic DE&I Conference" is the largest conference of its kind in the nordic countries. This year it focused on sustainable labor market of the future.

The Crown Princess spoke in front of business leaders, scientists and artists. She included equality and inclusion in difficult times as the overall theme of her speech (here).

Classy suits are an all-time winner. Easy to go to and it looks good every time. Mary wore her dark navy suit from Imperial Fashion at the opening of "The Womenomics Nordic DE&I Conference". I am not sure, it is my favourite suits of hers but she seems comfortable wearing it - which makes it perfect! The lovely bright red silk blouse is from BOSS Hugo Boss.

Mary wore some incredible pieces of jewellery with her suit. Stunning white and yellow diamond earrings and her beloved Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces. For many years, I wanted to identify the earrings but I haven't still succeeded.

The quality leather clutch from Quidam and those navy blue suede Jimmy Choo pumps makes a great match with the rest of her outfit. Mary always mastered the "colour-matching game" with such elegance.

75th anniversary of the ordination of women to the priesthood

30 April 2023

I imagine it was a big day for many, when Crown Princess Mary attended the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the ordination of women to the priesthood.

The anniversary was celebrated with a church service in Vor Frue Church in Copenhagen. The Crown Prince Couple were married in Vor Frue back in 2004.

In 1948, Johanne Andersen, Ruth Vermehren and Edith Brennende was the first women to the priesthood in Denmark. Since then, many more have followed their example. Today, more than half of the parish priests today are women.

Spring has officially arrived with that gorgeous outfit! Mary wore a wonderful KITX by Kit Willow coat. It is almost a dreamy design. I always loved the details and the soft white colour. Looks like she matched it with a lace dress. Probably the same as in 2016 (here).

With only the clothes Mary won my heart, but with the chosen accessories, I am even more thrilled. Love it when she wears her hair up and that new Cara Couture hairband makes it even more beautiful. It is a winner, right?

Her outstanding jewellery are from Sophie Bille Brahe, Halberstadt, Julie Sandlau and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Also favourites on her trip to Vanuatu, Fiji and Australia.

The old raffia clutch was a perfect match to the new hairband. It is still unidentified. Her nude python pointed pumps are old ones from Gianvito Rossi. What a look!

Day 6. Visiting Vanuatu, Fiji and Australia

28 April 2023

On her last day, Crown Princess Mary started her day with a small bike ride on one of Sydney's bicycle trail. They are inspired by Copenhagen Bike Lanes. Denmark, especially Copenhagen, is known for riding a bike to everything instead of taking the car, which makes it a more sustainable city.

She was introduced to Gehl Architects (a Danish architectural and urban planning company) involvement in "Sustainable Sydney 2030" - a stategi to make Sydney more friendly to bikes.

When she first wore the Harris Wharf London blazer, I was not that big of a fan (here). That changed in a second, when she wore it once again on her bike ride through Sydney! It looked great with a simple white blouse and those bright green linen trousers. Both pieces are still to be identified.

Once again, she dazzled wearing golden necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. The solide Rebekka Notkin bangle matched with more delicate and fine Dulong Fine Jewelry and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen bracelets are wonderful.

The diamond ring from Rebekka Notkin also seems to be a trip-favourite of hers. Lovely with the diamond earrings crafted by Sophie Bille Brahe.

It is always a winner, when Mary wears sneakers. It was also a success this time with her white and dusty pink NIKE sneakers.

Her hair tie is from Knekki.

ROUNDTABLE MEETING AND A VISIT TO QUAY QUARTER TOWER

After a little bike ride through Sydney, the Crown Princess attended a roundtable meeting with Danish business representatives about the green transition in Australia.

She attended the meeting accompanied by her traveling buddy, the Danish Minister for Development corporation's and Global climate politics Dan Jørgensen.

Following after the roundtable meeting, was a guided tour around the sustainably skyscraper Quay Quarter Tower. It was designed by the Danish architectural company 3XN.

I am a bit more in to her outfits worn in Sydney. They are a bit more "Mary-like". Nevertheless, it was also lovely to see her out of her comfort zone, when it comes to classy outfits.

When attending the roundtable meeting and a the guided tour, Mary had changed from casual trousers and sneakers to a chic Scanlan & Theodore suit. She matched the soft green coloured suit with a simple white BOSS Hugo Boss blouse. This combination was last seen, when celebrating Queen Margrethe on her 83rd birthday in April (here).

The white pearl earrings are custom-made by Dulong Fine Jewelry many years ago. Probably, her most worn pair of earrings. She has also become very fund of her Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces, such as the diamond ring from Rebekka Notkin.

Mary also styled her outfit with a brown leather bag from Ralph Lauren and snakeskin pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

Day 5. Visiting Vanuatu, Fiji and Australia

27 April 2023

Crown Princess Mary and Minster for Development corporation's and Global Climate politics Dan Jørgensen have accompanied each other every day both in Vanuatu and here in Fiji.

They also spend the fifth day together, when visiting Blackrock Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Camp. Blackrock is a training camp for those send on peacekeeping missions for UN. Blackrock also helps in others ways in relations to humanitarian crisis.

The Crown Princess and Dan Jørgensen were given inside in Blackrock's efforts and hard work.

Before leaving Fiji (and going to Australia), the two of them and the rest of the Danish delegation made just one more stop to a local village near the sea. The Crown Princess helped to plant a mangrove - trees and bushes which has adapted to grow in saltwater in tropics.

Honestly, I have mixed emotions about her outfits when visiting Vanuatu and Fiji. Some were good. Others... I like the idea of this outfit. Cooling linen, soft materials, something new, something old. Still, I think the new Polo Ralph Lauren jacket and that reused By Malene Birger midi skirt are not the best match. Primarily, because of the long lengths. Nevertheless, I love both pieces very much.

I am impressed how many pieces of jewellery she was wearing WITHOUT being overdressed. I see custom-made Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings (here, here), necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. Bracelets from both Dulong Fine Jewelry, Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and Rebekka Notkin. Love some colours for this very soft outfit.

Once again, she loved wearing her brown leather sandals from Gianvito Rossi and Thiery Lasry sunglasses.

FLYING TO SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Fiji's Government thanked the Crown Princess for a wonderful visit and shared their little moment on social media. This was just before leaving Fiji and going to Sydney, Australia, where she will be spending her last day before going back to Denmark.

Somehow, I wish she would have worn this outfit during the day. I really like the way she belted that old creamy white linen blazer with her MaxMara leather belt and wore simple black trousers. The silhouette is better. More flattering.

She even matched the belt with her beloved luxurious leather bag from Ralph Lauren and tortoise-like Gucci glasses. Love it, when she wear colour-matching outfits. Mary wore the same custom-made earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and her necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. Such as an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond bracelet.

With a few more photos, I now know that Mary embraced the look with sling-back flats from Chanel.
