"Reach Out" with the Psychiatry Foundation

Thursday, May 27th

As patron of the Psychiatry Foundation, the Crown Princess visited one of their projects called Reach Out and attended teaching for a school class about mental health and well-being. It took place at the Ruds Vedby school, Ruds Vedby.

Since 2005 the Crown Princess has been patron of the Psychiatry Foundation and yesterday she visited Ruds Vedby school to hear more about the foundation's project Reach Out. The project is all about informing and learning teachers to strengthen pupils mental health from 5th to 9th grade. The pupils parents are also a part of the process. Arriving to Ruds Vedby school she was welcomed by hundreds of thrilled children, who all would like a handshake and glimpse of the Crown Princess. To a journalist she expressed how excited the Mary Foundation is about the project and how it's created to help the pupils in the right direction. When she attended the school lesson, as part of the project, she was sitting among the pupils and as the children she showed great interest in learning more about metal health and its issues. The Crown Princess took plenty of time chatting with as many as possible during her visit at the school in Ruds Vedby.

In Ruds Vedby she was dressed beautifully in a white peplum blouse featuring a Peter Pan collar. Think we have seen it before, but I can't figure out when or where? Nevertheless, it is still unidentified. The reused capri trousers is from Hugo Boss seen several times before at different occasions for instance last year, on August 26th she visited the Mothers Help, here. Talking about her trousers, it is worth mentioning that the Spanish Queen Letizia has been seen in the same model, here. I suggest that her jacket could be Prada with idea from Reines & Princesses. With a little more help and a good memory, I can tell that the jacket is in fact from Prada and has been before, like in 2014 when she attended the Children's Relay, here. I have been so confused about wedges. Since she wore them for the first time years ago I have been looking everywhere to find them. When I finally found the a navy blue model from L.K. Bennett I convinced myself about their identity. Trying to get a better picture of her shoes, I realized that she was also wearing her square aquamarine blue earrings from Marianne Dulong. They go years back but still looks magnificent.

Meeting with "Brothers for Life" & "Dialogue Against Violence"

Wednesday, May 26th

Unofficially, Crown Princess Mary attended a meeting with the South African association Brothers for Life and the Danish association Dialogue Against Violence, as the patron of the Mary Foundation

More than once during the past couple of years have I expressed my thoughts about the Crown Princess and her importance for work like Brothers for Life and Dialogue Against Violence do. Personally and as chairwoman of the Mary Foundation the Crown Princess is able to make a difference for violated women and children. Working with Brothers for Life, she reach another group than she is use to: men. They do need as much help as women and children does. Not always the same kind of help, but they have related problems which has become focus for Brothers for Life. As Crown Princess of Denmark, she has chosen to help those who need it. I am still impressed by the work that she does. Just think about everything she and her partners have achieved so far? I truly hope the Crown Princess and the two associations will be able to work together in the future and create more good results.

At the meeting Mary was dressed in a bright blue peplum, seen on a few times before, but never identified. For some time I have had Hugo Boss in mind or maybe even Prada. She matched the peplum with black trousers and what I believe is a new necklace with no clue where it's from.

Birthday party in Dragør

Saturday, May 23rd

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the birthday party of Søren Hedegaard. He celebrated his 60th years birthday at Dragør.

Not much has been published from their attendance of Søren Hedegaard's 60th birthday party in Dragør because it was a private event. Still, a few pictures have appeared. Søren Hedegaard is friend of the couple as well as the Crown Princess's hair- and makeup dresser since her arrival to Denmark in 2003. Seems like the Crown Prince couple were in a great mood when they were on their way to attend the birthday.

Mary was super chic in her black outfit at the birthday. I am so thrilled we got a glimpse of her because her outfit was just magnificent. Gabriele is the one who told me about the identity of Mary's new black blouse which is from Prada (SS2015). She matched the blouse with skinny black trousers and metallic pumps. To me they look golden, but it is hard to tell because of the light. Metallic accessories, especially shoes, are really fashionable right now. You find them everywhere on the national and international catwalk. Love how Mary turned a simple black outfit into a polished and classy evening outfit with a pair of metallic heels. I think she was also wearing some kind of golden necklace and matching clutch. Even outside the official spotlight, Mary is dressed to perfection. Even her husband was beautifully dressed in a classy suit with a white button-down skirt and chic sunglasses. This is how to wear a classic suit the casual way.

The Crown Princess Mary obsession #5

Sarah's favourite family photo from Verbiér 2015.

Once again it is time to get to know one of you. As previously, I am thrilled to share this post with you because they are so important to me. You -my readers, have become a big part of my life and I'm having so much fun getting to know you better. You should know that I am very grateful for the opportunity to share your stories. This time I have the honor to present Sarah to all of you. Think I have been in touch with Sarah for a few years and it is a pleasure.

Actually Sarah didn't knew anything about the Danish royal family and only followed Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. She saw the style of our Crown Princess and fell in love with it (just like all of us did). Since Sarah realized how amazing Mary's style was, she started categorize it. each and every year. Now, make her fell welcome.

So Sarah, what made you initially to follow Crown Princess Mary?

"In 2011 I started following Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and came across a blog called 'Kate and Mary' which features both ladies." Next Sarah tells that she only knew very little about the Royal family from Denmark: "I didn't know anything about the Danish Royal Family (in fact I didn't even know there was one!) but I liked what I saw of Mary's style and started follow both of them." This sentence made me smile. In fact we have one of the oldest monarchies in the world with a hundreds year old history. To you who have interest in history, Denmark have a pretty exciting one even though we are a small country. I just mention it if any of you have an interest.

Sarah's favourite evening dress worn at the BAMBI Award

Could you tell more about your addiction/obsession? How did it all start?

"I soon discovered that Mary had married Frederik in 2004 and that there were more than 7 years of her outfits to look at! I think we all know the felling when we find a new blog or if you are completely new in the royal-blog-world; there are so much to look at and in the beginning it seems overwhelming! She goes on like this: "It was very interesting to see how her style developed and I started to keep pictures of her outfits (I have them in a Word-document, one for each year) and information on the designers of the clothes, accessories etc." Having seen this document, I can tell the rest of you that I rarely get to see anything as well-organized as what Sarah has shared with me. I am truly impressed by her dedication.

This beautiful hairstyle is absolute loved by Sarah!

Please, tell us why this collection of pictures and information about Crown Princess Mary clothes and accessories have became such an addiction (or inspiration?) to you?

"I really love Mary's style! She's not afraid to experiment with colours and pattern (I don't like clothes with a log of plain colours) and reuses many of her outfits in different and interesting ways. I think she almost always looks appropriate for the occasion she's dressing for and can look good in anything from jeans to a fabulous evening gown."

" She's always well-groomed and accessorizes so well - I love her jewellery and shoes as much as her clothes! There is always something to look forward to when she has en engagement.

A funny question: does you loved ones think you're a little crazy with all the royal stuff?

Quickly and short she answers: "My loved ones don't really know the extant of my obsession but they would probably think I'm crazy if they did!"

Here you have Sarah's favourite party dress from when Frederik turned 40 years old in 2008

Sarah, I have one last question left to ask you. Do you have any plans for what you will do next with your obsession?

" I shall just continue with my obsession as it is. I would never be able to afford any of the clothes she wears - and probably wouldn't be able to get them where I live - but I do get inspiration for my own outfits from what Mary wears and think she's a fantastic example of how to dress as you get older without looking too young or too old!" Something I completely understand. The Crown Princess really knows how to dress appropriate in every stage of life. From normal woman to princess, then from princess to Crown Princess and last but not least, from being a mother and at the same time being the Crown Princess of Denmark.

I hope you enjoyed reading Sarah's post as much as I did working with it. Thank you very much Sarah for sharing your story with the rest of us. It has been a pleasure getting to know you better.

Unbelievable, how fast three days go by when you are having fun. The Crown Prince couple just ended their official visit to Germany. They arrived to Hamburg on Tuesday and now it's all over. But let us enjoy one more day accompanied by the Danish royal couple. Early in the morning the couple attended the grand opening of a business delegation event in Munich. All along they have been accompanied by a business delegation of 75 different Danish companies, all working with healthcare, sustainability and lifestyle. Most of the day, the couple enjoyed in each others company such as when they visited the Fraumhofer Institue, attended the opening of the Fritz Hansen exhibition and attended a seminar on Healthy Living. From what I see they were having a great time in Munich during their last day of the official visit to Germany.

Even though her lack of colourful clothes during the trip to Germany, I think it's great to see her in this lovely reused JOSEPH dress. What I like most about her outfit compared with the first time she wore the dress, is the hairstyle. This updo really makes a different. It was in 2014, when she attended the FSR Award, Mary wore the dress for the first time, here. She beautifully embrace the style by wearing a beige rivet belt, which I strongly believe is from Valentino, though I still haven't got anything to prove it. What is your ideas? Keeping everything stylish and polished at the same time, Mary accessorized her dreamy outfit with freshwater pearl earrings from Marianne Dulong, diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, a beige suede clutch from Hugo Boss and of course the patent pumps from Christian Louboutin. I wouldn't mind for a second to wear this outfit with every accessory myself. When would you wear something like this?

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary during their day in Munich

I was thrilled when I found out the couple were spending all day together while staying in Munich. Often the Crown Prince couple split up and attend event by themselves, but today we got them together all day. I really enjoyed yesterday and so far, everything I have seen from today has been just great. Yesterday, at the official welcoming at City Hall in Hamburg, the Crown Princess received several large bouquets of flowers and has some trouble handling all of them at once. Well, today was not that much different but at least she did not drop any of the bouquets, when attending the reopening of the ECCO Flagship Store in Munich. Really think the German people have been looking forward to welcome the Crown Prince couple to their country as much as they have been looking forward to visit Germany. Maybe even as much as we have?

I know I was a bit too quick earlier today sharing only half a post from the couple's second day in Germany. It's just that I think it is so interesting and exciting to follow the couple on these official visits that I can't help myself. So, finally you get a complete post with the latest pictures and information from their day in Munich, Germany. Cannot say that I am disappointed from what Mary was wearing in Munich, but I would have loved to see a bit more colours or maybe a little more printed fabric. Most of the outfit is a reuse from when the Royal couple visited Canada in 2014, here.

Although it is a rather simple look, the basic of her outfit will do any time - a silk blouse, an A-line skirt and a pair of pumps. The white silk blouse is from Elise Gug and is one we have seen on multiple occasions, such as with the Signe Bøgelund-Jensen pleated skirt. As in 2014 Mary had chosen to wear her Christian Louboutin python pumps which perfectly matched the tiny braided Balenciaga belt. She embrace the style by wearing white pearl earrings and ring from Marianne Dulong, a black Carlend Copenhagen clutch (the same as the pink one from yesterdays event) and a white Prada coat to keep warm during the day. The weather is so unpredictable these days and it changes from sunny to rainy in no time. A really lovely and classy look!

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attending dinner at Residenz Castle

Around 7:30 pm local time, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mar arrived to attend an evening dinner at the Residenz Castle. The royal couple attended the dinner as guests of honors accompanied by the Danish business delegation of 75 different companies. This business delegation has joined the couple to promote Danish businesses in Germany. According to several medias, both of them were in an excellent mood when they arrived. It had started raining short before the couple arrived, which is why they were followed by several people with large umbrellas. To me it seems like neither Frederik or Mary were bothered by the rain. Before attended the dinner, it was time for the Danish royal couple to welcomed each and every one also attending the event.

I was just about to go to bed, when I saw the first pictures of the couple arriving to the dinner at the Residenz Castle. When I realized Mary was wearing a new jumpsuit, my heart skipped a beat more than once. We rarely get to see her in jumpsuits and personally I love them. Think we have only seen her, "officially", wear a jumpsuit was at her friend Amber Petty's 40th birthday party in 2010, here. And then the pattern. Still, everything looks just amazing. After all the excitement, I could not sleep and began the search to see if I could identify this new creation. Believe it or not, I actually identified it. Her new jumpsuit is from the Danish designer YDE Copenhagen (RTW Spring 2015). Once again he has proven how great a designer he is with this beautiful creation. She created an even more amazing outfit with splendid accessories. Mary wore stunning Ole lynggaard Copenhagen earrings and a brand new golden bracelet. This has been identified by Pernille who recognized the Georg Jensen (SS2015) style. Maybe it was a gift given to her earlier in the day, attending the reopening of a store? The bracelet is available in several different colours and I think Mary's could be rose gold or gold. When it comes to clutch and belt, I can't say much other than both are black. I wonder if we have seen the belt before? Does it remind you of anything? Kate is the one making me aware of her black Gianvito Rossi pumps. The light wavy hair gave her a feminine touch and the makeup was a bit more dramatic than usual -just like the new jumpsuit.

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary during the first day in Hamburg

Finally, what we all have been waiting for in a very long time. When this official visit to Germany was announced, I have really been looking forward to the time where the couple were actually going to Germany and now it's time. The visit focus on Danish Living, everything from design and fashion to health and cooking. Early in the morning the Crown Prince couple were officially welcomed by hundreds of people at a ceremony at the City Hall in Hamburg. All day the royal couple were in a splendid mood with a huge smile on each their faces. Seems like they really enjoyed the first day in Germany. Most of the day, they spend together at visiting among others seminar's on sustainability, style and living. Around noon the Crown Prince visited a hospital in Barmbek and attended a conference on sustainable living. Meanwhile, the Crown Princess attended the opening of a Danish design exhibition and visited the supermarket Edeka in Rindermarkthalle. Mary also got her chance to prepare food on 23rd floor. A great way to begin an official visit -with lost of smiles, laughs and happy faces.

Another reason why I always look forward to these official visits is, of course, to get another glimpse of what she's wearing. Don't think we have ever seen Mary dressed inappropriate abroad Denmark. I rarely gets disappointed and nor did I this time. Today I think we are start with her shoes. On her feet she wore black patent leather pumps from SAND Copenhagen that matched the black dress-pants. Mary had chosen to focus on the upper-part of her body wearing a white blouse and a brand new white jacket featuring the most incredible beadwork I have seen in a long time! It is so pretty, don't you think so? With help from Tesouras & Tiaras (which reminds me to mention that she has an amazing blog you just need to visit, if you not already is a fan!) the white jacket has already been identified as Tory BurchIt has the wonderful name Isabella just like her own little princess. No outfit without accessories. Mary has chosen to bring the lovely Carlend Copenhagen clutch with her to Germany. I am sure will see it again soon, during this trip. Then she wore a long golden necklace with pendants from Ole Lynggard Copenhagen. Her gold and silver rings are also from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Then we only have the Marianne Dulong earrings left. They have been identified by KateDiana identified her new bracelet as Anni Lu. Thanks to both of you! I really can't get enough of her outfit from today. What do you think? Anything you would like to wear?

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary attending dinner in Handelskammer Hamburg

After a rather long day, starting with an official welcoming ceremony at the City Hall in Hamburg, it was time for the Crown Prince couple to attend a dinner in Handelskammer Hamburg. Guest from near and far were invited to the dinner with Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary as guests of honor. They arrived last and was warmly welcomed. Not many pictures, nor articles have been published from the dinner at Handelskammer Hamburg, but from what I see the couple were having a great time in the evening.

As a Crown Princess you can't wear the same outfit as during the day, so of course Mary changed to a reused white fitted dress. The upper-part of the dress features pleated fabric. With some help from Kate, I can tell that she wore the dress last year at a dinner at Amalienborg, here. According to Royalista the white dress is custom-made by Danish designer David Andersen. As the first time, she wore it with golden Manolo Blahnik pumps. She added a pink Carlend Copenhagen clutch and a pink scarf from the same designer as the dress according to Billed Bladet, here. So chic! As jewellery she was wearing a pair of earrings in the same pink colour as the clutch, which I first thought was new, when they are in fact old. We saw them in 2014 when the Danish school system celebrated its 100th anniversary, hereand later at a gala show was made. Mary attended the show and as you have already guessed by now - this is when she wore the earrings identified as Annikat. I think they are so beautiful and makes a great match to the white dress and all the other accessories. Her gold ring is from Marianne Dulong.

11 years of marriage!

11 years ago on May 14th 2004, Prince Frederik married the 32-year old Mary Elizabeth Donaldson from Australia after a meeting a few years before on the pub Slip Inn in Sydney. Well you all know the story. The big wedding, followed by millions all over the world, was a sensation and most of us remember when Mary stepped out of the car wearing her unbelievable huge wedding dress designed by Uffe Frank in collaboration with Mary and sawn by Birgit Hallstein. And then the old lace veil with the amazing history. In a new book, I have just received, I found out that they lace sitting on the skirt has been recycled from Queen Margrethe's wedding dress which was taken off after the wedding day just like on Mary's dress. You'll soon hear much more about my new book.

I'm pretty sure it's not always easy to be the Crown Prince Couple of Denmark with four children, but so far they made it work. To you who want to experience the wedding once more, here. Now, there is only left to congratulate the couple on behalf of their 11th anniversary!

Advice for Life & Klubfidusen

Thursday, May 12th

As patron of the Mary Foundation, Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of Advice for Life (Råd til Livet) taking place in Aalborg. Later in the afternoon the Crown Princess attended an event with the project Klubfidusen.

Frederiketmary.centerblog.net 1

Around noon the Crown Princess arrived to Aalborg to attend the opening of Advice for Life (Råd til Livet). A project developed by the Mary Foundation to combat social isolation. The project was inaugurated at the Mother's Help in Aalborg who work with Advice for Life. The Mother's Help offer legal and financial help is needed and helps pregnant women and families with children in vulnerable situations. Help is also given to young people and battered women. All these and many more areas of action are some Mary and the foundation works with, so it is ideal for Crown Princess to attend the event in Aalborg. She was in a really good mood when she arrived. With flowers and handshakes she was welcomed for attending the opening of Advice for Life. Mary took plenty of time talking to as many attendances as possible. People gladly shared their story and experiences with the Crown Princess who, with great interest, listened to everything she was told.

Arriving to Aalborg to attend the opening of Advice for Life at the Mother's Help, Mary stepped out of the car dressed in a lovely outfit. She was wearing matching black trousers and a turtleneck. Am I the only one who noticed that Mary has been wearing black a lot lately? Never mind. I am really glad to see that Julie Fagerholt Hartmade jacket again. It is not the first time she wear it, but the jackets looks new every time. Even Princess Madeleine of Sweden has been seen wearing the exact same jacket. I can't seem to find a picture right now, but if I do, I will share it with you. Though I think the rest of her outfit is a bit too plain, then the jacket really makes the difference. And of course her amazing snake pumps from Christian Louboutin! Overwhelming who much a pair of shoes can do for an outfit. A pair of heels can change everything. Any black outfit should be worn with such shoes! As other accessories she wore diamond earrings from Hartmann's, rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and not the forget, a thin bracelet from Anni Lu. Love all these little details. Last but not least, she was wearing her black Carlend Copenhagen clutch. Think this outfit would do good at any time a day. With another hairstyle I would not hesitate to wear it during a dinner.

About two hours later the Crown Princess attended another event in Aalborg with one of the Mary Foundation's project called Klubfidusen. The project is made in collaboration of the Mary Foundation, Save the Children, DBU and TrygFonden to strengthen the community and prevent bullying in football clubs in Denmark. When the Crown Princess arrived it was pouring down, but nothing seemed to stop her. Very relaxed and down on earth she blended in with the rest of the attendances. She attended the event along with CEO of the Mary Foundation, Helle Østergaard. Both of them were warmly welcomed at the arrival. Klubfidusen is all about football, which of course means that Mary joined a game even though it was still raining. Mary just put on a jacket and joined the game. Everybody were having so much fun!

Not even pouring rain can stop Mary when she's on duty. A few hours later when she arrived to the football club AaB in Aalborg, she had changed clothes to something a bit more practical. Understandable, because who on earth can play football in heeled Louboutin shoes? No, right? She favourised a pair of blue and green New Balance sneakers and a navy blue Moncler jacket with knitted sleeves. When it started raining, she added a blue Nike jacket to the look. She was also still wearing her diamond earrings from Hartmann's and rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Both kids and Mary had a great time playing football, despite then bad weather. Before leaving, she received a gift to her son Christian which was his own football T-shirt with his name on.

Bridgewalking in Denmark

Sunday, May 10th

Crown Princess Mary attended the inauguration of bridgewalking aross the old Lillebælt bridge between Middelfart and Fredericia. The Crown Princess also opened a new tourist attraction in Fredericia.

B.dk

It was a very windy day when the Crown Princess arrived to Middelfart to attend the inauguration of bridgewalking across the old Lillebælt bridge between the two Danish cities Middelfart and Fredericia. It has taken about four years to make the bridge ready for the bridgewakling attraction. She was warmly welcomed with flags, handshakes, flowers and hundreds of smiles. She was one big smile herself. The Crown Princess began the walk across the bridge from Middelfart and ended up in Frederica. The walk took place over 60 meters above the ground. I am so afraid of hight's and can't understand why anyone would do this by them self. But Mary seemed to enjoy the wind in her face and sight across the sea. While walking on the bridge, she was told all about the two cities by Mayer Stten Dahlstrøm and Mayer Jacob Bjerregaard. In Frederica she also attended the opening of a new tourist attraction. Afterwards she was suppose to be driven back to her hotel Trinity in an old vintage car. By accident she is the one sitting behind the wheel and end up driven back the car herself to the hotel! What a lovely story.

When visiting Middelfart she was dressed in one of her white turtleneck's, a pair of black trousers and her checkered Massimo Dutti coat -you remember, the reversible one. A great outfit for a sunny and windy day. Her hairstyle was all natural as with the makeup. The diamond earrings are from Hartmann's and seen multiple times before. I wouldn't mind adding them to my jewellery box, but I am pretty sure I will never be able to afford such diamonds. Still, you are allowed to dream, right? Arriving to Middelfart she was wearing a reused pair of navy blue, suede wedges. Since the first time we saw then, I have been looking everywhere to identify them. Though Mary was worn them several times, I still do not have a quality close-up picture. L.K. Bennett has been suggested several times and the main reason why I haven't recognized this as the right answer to the question of where they are from, is because they haven't been found in the right colour -and the fact that we have no close-up. Now I'm convinced because I found a model in navy blue as the one Mary is wearing. Walking across the bridge she changed to a pair of New Balance sneakers.

Inauguration of a sensory garden

Friday, May 8th

Crown Princess Mary attended the inauguration of a sensory garden at Ringsted Women's Crisis Centre (Ringsted Krisecenter).

For sure this is not the first time the Crown Princess has attended a inauguration, but I think it is the first time she is attending the inauguration of a sensory garden, which took place in Ringsted. The idea of sensory garden started two years ago to bring together the latest knowledge of sensory therapy and use this knowledge at Ringsted Women's Crisis Centre. The end of a project like this takes the right person to official inaugurate the garden and who else can it be than the Crown Princess of Denmark? Right? Everything was kept very casual and calm, maybe because of the children living at the centre. Many of them have a hard time and I think it is with respect the atmosphere was this relaxed. The Crown Princess was in a great mood and quickly she was to be found among the kids. She was playing around with the kids and all of them seemed to have a great time. The Crown Princess took plenty of time talking and listening with everyone. On occasion of the inauguration a tree was planted to mark the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage.

Finally, spring has arrived to Denmark -flowers are blooming, trees and bushes are soon green with leaves. This also means we need to welcome pastel colours, dresses without tights and lots of summer prints. That's what Mary did at the inauguration. She was wearing a short dusty pink jacket, seen at least three times before one of them was on a visit to Germany in 2010 when she was pregnant with the twins, here. At the time, it was ID'd as Prada and that's something I still believe in. Everything about it reminds me of Prada. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the jacket yet. Chris shared a model with me of a Prada (Fall RTW 2010) jacket that looks similar to the one she was wearing. Take a look and let me hear what you see. In the same colour she wore a comfortable blouse and a pair of black trousers. Her lovely black ankle boots I managed to identify as Gianvito Rossi, the first time she wore them at the Queen's 75th birthday. Beautifully, Mary accessorized her look with earrings and a bracelet featuring black pearls both from Marianne Dulong. Last seen when she attended the 14th World Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care, here.

The World Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care

Friday, May 8th

As patron, Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of the 14th World Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) which took place in the Bella Centre, Copenhagen.

On a rather windy Friday the Crown Princess arrived to the Bella Centre in Copenhagen to attend the opening of the 14th World Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care or abbreviated to EAPC. The association aim to increase focus on promoting palliative care in Europe. We do not have that many pictures from the opening, but just enough to see that she seemed to enjoy herself at the congress.

She was kindly welcomed with a beautiful bouquet of lilies of the valley -a stunning flower, but poisonous. Nevertheless, I am sure for someone like she it is very exciting and inspiring to attend an event like this. The Crown Princess was not the only one to attend; more than 3000 people are gathered the next few days to participate in the congress on palliative care.

All eyes were on Mary when she arrived to the Bella Centre in Copenhagen at the opening and I am pretty sure it's because of her grey BOSS Hugo Boss dress. A well-fitted, figure hugging dress identified by Kate. I'm so fascinated about the texture of the fabric. Though her outfit was rather simple. I loved the fact how she managed to accessorize with eye-catching accessories without looking overdressed. Let's admit it: she never looks overdressed and I really admire that.

Mary embrace the style by wearing her snake pumps from Christian Louboutin and even a matching reused snakeskin belt from Balenciaga. When I first saw the dress, I started wondering if the belt was a part of it. Quickly, I changed my mind because it reminded me of a belt worn a few years back when the couple visited Australia, here. Similar, right? I never really thought how great grey and purple looks next to each other, but now thanks to Mary. Because she had chosen a dark purple suede clutch which I do not think we have seen before. Nevertheless, it is from the same designer as the dress. Her eyes were gloving as diamonds in the sun as the Marianne Dulong jewellery made of shone even more.

Crown Princess Mary Scholarship 2015

Thursday, May 7th

Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation the Crown Princess Mary Scholarship which took place at University of Copenhagen.

The scholarship was a gift to the Crown Prince couple from University of Copenhagen on occasion of their wedding in 2004. Each year DKK 10,000 are given to two students who study in Denmark. This year is even a little more special because it is the 10th time the Crown Princess Mary Scholarships are handed over. As always she was in a really great mood when she arrived to University of Copenhagen in Copenhagen. The Crown Princess was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers and handshakes. As mentioned before, this was kinda a 10th anniversary. From what I am aware of, Mary has only missed very few years of this annual event. But not this year. In a great spirit she took plenty of time talking to the two students who just received each their scholarship. These students are Australian born Morgan Lean Foulsham and Cameron Hunter. Congratulations to both of them. As usual, pictures were taken of the Crown Princess and the two students in front of the university.

Something I noticed lately as a trend among many women is bright coloured shoes -as in really bright coloured shoes. I even considered purchasing a pair myself and now I am fully convinced. After seeing Mary in her new burgundy pumps at the scholarship presentation, I am no longer in any doubt. The one she was wearing is from Gianvito Rossi and brand new. With one of the latest trend on her feet and a matching suede belt, Mary's outfit was really nice.

I think, somehow, her style changed a bit the last few years which is not, bad but something changed. Maybe it's the way she mix and match colours and clothes. The same thing sort of happened after the birth of Princess Isabella. Through the pregnancy and shortly after, her style was very feminine. Then her hair grew and her style become a bit more modern and simple. Now we really see a match of all this. Do you see the same as I do? Which bring me to the rest of her outfit. In a dark grey colour she wore a blouse with some interesting details about the shoulder and neck. To you who think: this is new, my answer will be: "no it's not". It's right that we haven't seen her wear it at an official event yet, but several times throughout the years she has worn it -at a swimming event, at a private dinner with Frederik and as one of you made me aware of in an interview to the broadcast Inside the Royal House. She wore the exact same blouse with the flower brooch on the shoulder. Her trousers I can't tell a thing about. White earrings and ring are both custom-made by Marianne Dulong.

Commemorating the Liberation of Denmark

Tuesday, May 5th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the commemoration to mark the 70 anniversary of Denmark's liberation after World War II.

First a little history: On 9 April 1940 the Germans took over Denmark during World War II. The night between 4th and 5th of May 1945 the Germans surrendered and after five years, Denmark were once again governed by Danes. On the 4th of May it's a tradition to light candles in the windows to mark the liberation. This year the liberations have 70th years of anniversary.
On this occasion Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a church service in Vor Frue Church in Copenhagen at 10:00 am local time. Hundreds of people were gathered in the church to honor those who were lost, died or were injured during World War II. Both Frederik and Mary were moved at the commemoration and did not hide it a lot. Think about it, after 70 years people still get affected and moved, it's notable. We have to remember that our past makes our future. Someway or another we all have relatives or living family members who have fought for something as World War II. Some paid with their life and they deserve a minute of silence. Earlier in the morning the Crown Prince also participated in a wreath ceremony in Nyhavn, Copenhagen, on occasion of the commemorating.

On a day like this it takes not to be over-dressed. In my opinion Mary was dressed perfectly in a simple black a white outfit. She was wearing a floral printed Elise Gug dress and a reused black Prada coat. The coat has been worn at several occasions, even when she was pregnant with the twins. Keeping everything polished and sophisticated Mary was wearing a Susanne Juul hat, white pearl earrings, black gloves and her SAND Copenhagen pointed pumps. It does not get more appropriate according to Danish traditions.
