Instagram: Sunday morning

Sunday, August 20th

Since the Danish Royal family joined both Facebook and Instagram about a year ago, I sense a very positive feeling for the family's decision- without them, there would be no photos to share. Before the family decided to go viral I had high hopes that it some day would happen. And it did. I follow both their Facebook page and Instagram with great excitement. In a formal, yet informal way, we get glimpse of the royals everyday. On Sunday the Crown Princess shared two photos on Instagram showing the Crown Prince couple's new puppy Grace in Fredensborg garden and one with Prince Vincent. Lovely pictures. Grace is getting bigger each time we see her.

According to Frederik et Mary, the Crown Princess watched KMD Ironman Copenhagen 2017 during the previous weekend with all four children, here. This is really all I have been able to find about their attendance.

Inauguration of the Center for Cancer Immunotherapy

Friday, August 18th

On Friday the Crown Princess attended the inauguration of the Center for Cancer Immunotherapy taking place at Herlev Hospital in Herlev. It was a rather sunny day when the Crown Princess arrived to Herlev, where she was warmly welcomed with flowers, handshakes and smily faces. During her visit she was given a guided tour around the new facilities where she was told more about the center's work. The Crown Princess also offered her help to complete the final experiment for a new cancer vaccine. For a few moments she had the chance to work along with Doctor and PhD student at the Center for Cancer Immunotherapy, Morten Orebro Holmström. It was with great interest the Crown Princess listened to everything she was told during the experiment. A rare sight to see Crown Princess Mary wearing a white doctor coat, but I think it suits her very well.

Attending the inauguration of the new Center for Cancer  Immunotherapy in Herlev, Mary was beautifully dressed in a reused red printed dress from BA&SH. It is not the first time we see her dazzled this little wonder. In 2016 when she visited New York on occasion of the United Nations' General Assembly, here. This time she embrace a chic and sophisticated style by accessorizing the outfit with several pieces of jewellery -earrings, necklaces and bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry, Orit Elhanati and Cartier. Quality jewellery designers. Lately, we have seen her wear a lot of the same jewellery. Especially her golden Orit Elhanati necklace and bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry featuring different coloured stones. Exquisite. Other than plenty of beautiful jewellery she wore a pair of brand new suede pumps. According to Royals & Fashion these are from Gianvito Rossi and I think she is absolutely right. Can't wait to see how and at what occasion she will wear these again. Maybe with a pair of white trousers? In a matching nude colour we have her reused suede clutch from Hugo Boss seen at several previous occasions both here in the country and abroad. A really lovely outfit that goes perfect with the days event.

Odense Flower Festival 2017

Thursday, August 17th

The Crown Princess arrived to Odense on the island of Funen to attend the official opening ceremony of Odense Flower Festival 2017. She is patron of the event. An annual event taken place in Odense, lasting four days. People from near and far come to see the incredible, colourful, outstanding and inspiring flower decorations. This years festival was entitled "What A Wonderful World" and Crown Princess Mary was guest of honor to officially open the event and name a new rose. Christened in pink champagne the rose was named What A Wonderful World as the festival itself. Before the naming took place the Crown Princess was given a guided tour to see some of the beautiful flower arrangements. There was also plenty of time for her to talk with attendances of the festival. As they did, I strongly believe the Crown Princess enjoyed all the stunning flowers surrounding her in Odense.

A flower festival takes, of course, a floral printed dress and that is exactly what Mary wore during her day in Odense at the opening of the annual flower festival. The floral dress is the one and only Ralph Lauren (Blue Label) first worn back in 2010, here. Since then she has dazzled wearing the dress at three other occasions -if my calculations is correct. In 2011, here and twice in 2016, here & here. A classy dress I never get tired of. Though it is floral, it makes a great foundation for millions of ways to accessorize it. This time she embrace a very feminine and lady-like style by wearing new freshwater pearl earrings, a matching ring and bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a golden Orit Elhanati necklace. I am very fascinated by her new pearl earrings. At first I was sure it's her old ones from Dulong Fine Jewelry. A close-up proved that I was terribly wrong. These are differently new. I can't tell a thing about them, nor where they could be from. I am lost. Ideas? The some goes with her white pointed pumps. Can't recall we have seen her wear these before, but of course I could be wrong by assuming this statement. No pictures have been helpful when trying to ID them. From what I have seen, they look like either Gianvito Rossi or maybe even Jimmy Choo. Take a look at the two models I've found and tell me what you think. My feeling is: Gianvito Rossi. Other than jewellery, Susanne Juul hat and a creamy white scarf Mary wore her black croco clutch from Carlend Copenhagen. A dreamy look that makes her my favourite.

Copenhagen TV-Festival 2017

Wednesday, August 16th

In the evening the Crown Princess attended the opening of Copenhagen TV-Festival taking place in Skuespilhuset in Copenhagen. As guest of honor she was warmly welcomed by CEO of the festival Mette Sig and CEO of Copenhagen Film Fund Thomas Gammeltoft at the arrival. She was in a great mood with a large smile on her face. Every year the festival is taken place in Copenhagen where national- and international people are gathered, among others, to get new inspiration. The festival is one of the biggest in the industry. The evening was a little more special this year because Oscar winner Jane Campion was the one to present the two first episodes of the Australian series Top of the Late: China Girl as a Northern European premiere. The Crown Princess seemed to has enjoyed her evening in Skuespilhuset along with all the other attendances. Not that many pictures have been published, but from what I see she had a great evening.

I does not come as a surprise to me that she had chosen a black dress for the Copenhagen TV-Festival event. Quickly it was identified by Kate as a BA&SH design. It features a V-neckline, a stretch waist and a slit at front which seems a little miss-placed. Nevertheless, she looks great wearing her new black dress. Mary had accessorized her evening look with several colourful jewellery. Necklace and matching ring have been more before in February when she attended the Danish Swimming Award 2017, here. At that time she was wearing the jewellery as a match to her bright blue suit. Have to say, my eyes enjoyed that previous outfit a... bit more than this. Not that I don't like her outfit from the festival because I really do. But much is needed to outdo that other look. I still haven't found out exactly who is the designer, but a similar one has been found, here. For both necklace and ring I have had Amrita Singh in mind all the time. Well, now you know my thoughts about it. What is yours? Other than the colourful necklace and matching ring, she also wore golden jewellery from Dulong Fine Jewelry, Cartier and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Once again I am amazed by how she manages to combine silver and gold jewellery. Never been a fan, but a few years back I discovered how beautiful it is. As with the dress Mary wore a brand new black clutch featuring... bells. I haven't found anything similar yet. Last, but not least she stunned wearing her Alexandre Birman sandals. First seen in 2013 when she attended Copenhagen International Fashion Fair, here. A wonderful pair of shoes.

Weekly meeting with the Mary Foundation

Wednesday, August 16th

The Crown Princess attended a weekly meeting with the Mary Foundation, after having enjoyed a long holiday in both Gråsten, Greece and on board Dannebrog along with her family. According to the foundation this was the first meeting (of many I'm sure) after the holiday, here. The Mary Foundation's 10th anniversary was discussed during the meeting which will be celebrated in September. A photo was taken showing the Crown Princess, CEO of the Mary Foundation Helle Østergaard and Carsten Michelsen from Moto Agency. The meeting took place at Frederik VIIIs palace, Amalienborg. This room has more than once been used for similar meetings.

It is not the first time we get a little sneak-peak of what is going on behind closed doors at Amalienborg. Actually, we have got quite a few pictures the last couple of years from meeting where the Crown Princess has attended as chairwoman of the Mary Foundation. She is always casual dressed, but nothing is random when it comes to her outfits. Neither did it at this meeting. Mary had chosen one of her old Baum und Pferdgarten dresses first worn in 2015, here. I loved it at that time and still does, very much indeed. She embrace the style in a polished and sophisticated way by wearing coral nail polish and... glasses. Like a viral hurricane it spread across the internet that: Mary dazzled wearing glasses. And they look great on her. Can't tell where they are from, but maybe one day we will get a close-up of her wearing them. A beautiful outfit for a "quiet" day at work.

...and of course, it is great to be back. Can't wait to update you on everything that has happened while I was on holiday.

Finally time is up for Prince Vincent and his twin sister Princess Josephine to begin school. As their two older siblings, Prince Christian and Princess Isabella, the twins started at Tranegaard School in Hellerup on Tuesday August 15th. Also Princess Athena, daughter of Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, has also started school the following day. Yes, all of them are growing up so fast. Think their parents feel the same way. As with Prince Christian and Princess Isabella, the Crown Prince couple joined the twins on their first day. The prince and princess met the national- and international press in front on Frederik VIIIs palace, Amalienborg, accompanied by their very proud parents. Crown Prince Frederik followed his lively daughter, while the Prince Vincent closely followed his mother a little more shy and uncomfortable. And who wouldn't be? -it is your first day at school with new faces everywhere and then you even have to face a crowed of journalists and photographers. But the Crown Princess was aware of her sons uncertainty and made sure he was all right before leaving the square in front of Amalienborg. Moments later, everything was back to normal and we even got a smile from the little prince. For sure it is an emotional day, where much is going on. I clearly remember when Prince Christian and Princess Isabella had their first day in 2011, here, and 2013, here. It was two exciting days for all of us. Proves that the kids are growing up and are ready to get older along with the rest of us. It is a big step for a child to go from kindergarden to begin school.

An event like this even gives us the opportunity to take a look at previous outfits, which I know many of you loves just as much as I do. In 2011 when Christian began school, Mary was casual dressed in a printed dress and ballet flats. Two years later on her daughters big day she dazzled in snake pumps and black trousers. Because of these rather casual outfit I was surprise to see that her outfit was way more formal (if that is even the right word to describe her look?). Heaven is the one to identify her dress as Isabel Marant Étoile. Think it will look great with a pair of pointed pumps and/or maybe a blazer. Don't you think? Meeting the press she was wearing her brown leather sandals from Yvonne Knoé seen at previous occasions and a matching belt. If you ask me, then the colour combo is simply perfect. Mary embrace her "first-day-at-school" with couple of bracelets, a necklace and golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, a golden one from Orit Elhanati, her Cartier bracelet and (of course) her Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond rings. I have always been in love with the way she wears several bracelets and necklaces at the same time. Makes a great look. I have come to enjoy this very much myself. You should try it.

Crown Prince Frederik matched his wife by wearing a brown blazer and kerosene colored trousers. First day at school also takes the right outfit for the twins. Prince Vincent was dressed in comfortable green shorts and a light blue button-down, while his sister stunned in a blue dress featuring a bow and pleated skirt. And of course, brand new backpacks -Josephine's with horses and Vincent's is LEGO.

Vacation on board Dannebrog

After the Crown Prince couple and all four children spend a few weeks at Gråsten castle along with Queen Margrethe, here, they enjoyed some time at Kos in Greece. Now the Crown Prince couple is on an unofficial travel on board the royal yacht Dannebrog along with their children. They will be visiting several different places in Denmark.

August 7th
On Monday the royal family payed a visit to Møns Klint on the island of Møn. Three pictures have been published on Facebook from the visit with caption telling that they looked at fossils on the beach and visited GeoCenter at Møn. Nothing tells for how long the trip will last, but all kids are going back to school within the next week or so.

Tuesday 8th
On board Dannebrog the Crown Prince couple and their four children payed a visit to Faaborg. Among others, the royal family visited the art museum Faaborg Museum during their day. They were also spotted walking in the streets of Faaborg. Crown Prince Frederik was the one handling the boat from Dannebrog to Faaborg harbor.

August 9th
On their third day on board Dannebrog crossing the seas across Denmark, the Crown Princes couple visited Vejle along with all four children. Among others they visited the exploratorium Kongernes Jelling and watched the famous Jellinge stone which goes back to year 965.

August 10th
On August 10 the Crown Princess enjoyed the day along with her four children by visiting Den Gamle By in Aarhus, here, and Fregatten Jylland, an long sailing boat from 1860, in Ebeltoft. Back in February the Crown Princess visited Den Gamle by in Aarhus to attend the inauguration of the jewellery exhibition by the name "The Jewellery Box". Later on I visited the exhibition myself, here. Maybe the exhibition also caught her girl's attention during the visit?

A few days later the Crown Prince family ended up in Copenhagen again and went for a little walk from Dannebrog to Frederik VIIIs palace, Amalienborg, here.
