Opening of the conference 'Child in the City'

Monday, September 29th

Crown Princess Mary attended the official opening of the conference Child in the City at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense.

It was on occasion of the conference Child in the City that Crown Princess Mary visited the University of Southern Denmark in Odense. Before officially opening the conference, she inaugurated a new children's playground. Arriving to the University of Southern Denmark Mary was warmly welcomed by a flower girl and four ballerina dancers. All five were so sweet. Mary couldn't hold a wide smile back. Everywhere she walked plenty of people tried to get her attention and it worked. She was everywhere. Receiving flowers, greetings, paintings, handshakes etc. I was a wonderful day and Mary was in a splendid mood. Wish I had been there to feel the atmosphere myself. She is present in a very special way.

Mary was dressed in a mix of new and reused clothes when she attended opening of both the new playground and conference in Odense. She wore a new creamy white blouse featuring lace on front and long sleeves. It has been identified Rosemunde Copenhagen. Over, we have a black reused blazer which is from Helmut Lang. What makes this a bit more special that others, is the leather trim. Smashing detail! The blazer was matched by a pair of The black capri trousers, that could be Elise Gug. The beautiful white pearl earrings are from the Marianne Dulong such as the rather large pearl ring. As the great owner of Tesouras & Tiaras made me aware of a the pink bracelet which is quite popular among Danish children. This was given to her as a gift from one of the children. Last, but not least we have her Christian Louboutin pumps, making a great statement along with the minimalistic outfit. Still, her smile is the absolute best part.

The Crown Prince Couple’s Prizes 2014

Saturday, September 27th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of the Crown Prince Couple’s Prizes 2014. It took place in the Music House in Aalborg.

Bt.dk

It is now ten year since the Crown Prince Couple’s Prizes were founded on this annual event. The Crown Prince couple's awards are given in collaboration with the Bikuben Foundation who plays a significant role because this was their gift to the couple on behalf of their weeding back in 2004. This is the couple's way to honor Danish artists of all kinds and I am sure it is something they really look forward to. Looking at their faces at the arrival I believe they were more than ready to enjoy the evening together with the rest of Denmark -the show was broadcasted live on Danish television which I of course had to watch. And what a show! The couple handed over DKK 50,000 to the Stardust winners actor Johanne Louise Schmidt and photographer Lærke Posselt. The Crown Prince Couple’s Culture Prize was given, along with DKK 500,000, to furniture designer Cecilie Manz. Last, but not least DKK 500,000 given TUBA who received the Social Prize. Congratulations to all the winners!! You do a great job.

I thought you might be interested in all her previous outfit during the last ten years. Because of this little "anniversary" I think it's time to share pictures of her other outfits from previous awards: 2006200720082009201020112012 & 2013.

This year Mary was dressed in a reused pink Prada dress, similar to a coat of hers which she had chosen not to wear yesterday evening. 2004 is the first time we saw it, when Frederik and her visited Aarhus. Then again in 2009 on occasion of Prince Henrik turing 75 years old, and again in 2012 on occasion of Queen Margrethe’s 40 years as Queen of Denmark. Everything from the dress to the accessories was a perfect fit. She wore earrings, a bracelet, a ring and two of three hair pins made from the leafs on her ruby tiara. As you know was the red ruby parure something the Crown Princess inherited from his grandmother Queen Ingrid. The little clutch, which of course also matched the rest of the outfit, is handmade by Naledi Copenhagen (AW11-12). I will not hide that I have had some trouble figuring out where exactly her glitter leopard pumps are from. At first I thought Gianvito Rossi. Then I was convinced Rupert Sanderson was the designer, but I keep coming back to Gianvito Rossi. Now I finally have the proof; a close up of the shoes and now there is no doubt in my mind. I really can't get enough of Mary's evening outfit. The pink colours looks incredibly on her especially because of her dark brown hair. As always, her makeup was flawless!

4 years with Style of Mary!

I can't believe 'Style of Mary' turns 4 years old today!! It is now four years since I started the and from the beginning it has been a pleasure to write about my great passion – Crown Princess Mary and her amazing sense of style. Within a very short time it became clear to me that there were many others who shared the same interest as me and many of those who have been there from the start are still a big part of the work I do today. It always makes me so happy when someone writes to me and want to be part of the community I have tried to create here on the blog. Everyone should try to be a part of a royal community, it is simply wonderful! I enjoy every day. I have met so many great, nice, sweet, cool, amazing people that have come to mean a lot to me. I want you to try that. Although I have been lucky to get on the team behind Royalista, my first priority will always be Style of Mary and I hope you will continue to follow me. Is there a better way to celebrate such a day than with the Royal Couple Awards 2014 as they will presented tonight?! I don't think so. Thanks for all the joy you bring into my life on a daily basis and let's keep on sharing our passion about the incredible Crown Princess Mary of Denmark!

400th anniversary concert for the Army

Wednesday, September 24th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a gala concert on the occasion of the Army's 400th anniversary of the Opera, Copenhagen. Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik, Prince Joachim and Princess Benedikte also attended from the Danish royal family.

It was along with over 300 special invited guests, that five members of the Danish royal family were invited to attend the celebration of the Army's 400th anniversary. On this occasion a gala concert was held in the Opera, Copenhagen. One by one, arrived the royal guests to the Opera and were warmly welcomed. It was a rather cold evening, so a warm welcoming ceremony was differently needed. Still, they all seemed in a splendid mood at the arrival. You may wonder why Prince Joachim was going on his own without his wife, but the fact is that Princess Marie was on official visit in New York. The concert lasted over three hours and I'm sure they all had a great evening.

Although it was a windy and cold evening when the royal family arrived, Mary had decided to wear a knee-length floral Dolce & Gabbana dress featuring beautiful red and white flowers. We have seen it once before, here, at a 80th birthday. No way better then matching the dress with red ruby jewellery from Queen Ingrid's ruby parure -a rudy red bracelet and earrings also featuring diamonds. Don't you think it looks just incredible with the floral dress? It is not often we see Mary wearing nail polish, but in honor of the occasion she had chosen a love burgundy colour. Because of the weather, she kept warm in rather large black shawl over the shoulders and in her hand she wore a little black clutch. Still not identified. Then of course we have the black pointed pumps which are from Rupert Sanderson. The shape is simply smashing! I truly understand if the Crown Prince was proud of his wife, because she looked outstanding next to him who was in his green uniform.

World Health Organization reception in Copenhagen

Wednesday, September 24th

Crown Princess Mary attended a reception on occasion of the WHO European Region 64 Regional Committee meeting taking place in the European WHO office in Copenhagen.

Gossiprocks.com
Frederiketmary.centerblog.net

The Crown Princess has plenty of events to attend these days. Only about a week ago, she and Frederik were on a official visit to Canada. A couple of days later Mary was back in America attending a conference in New York on well-being and healthcare issues. Now she is back again attending a reception on occasion of the WHO European Region 64 Regional Committee meeting. It took place in the European WHO office in Copenhagen. Mary was present as patron of WHO -the World Health Organization. I have not been able to find much information about the meeting, nor have many pictures been published which is quite a shame. I wonder why? To me it seems like any other visit. But now you now what I know.

At the reception Mary was wearing one of the most beautiful dresses in the most incredible pastel pink colour! Makes her face radiate like a shining star. The colour is just by almost every Danish designer right now, but looking at her new dress I was in no doubt where to find it: at Heartmade. Which was indeed correct. The colour, shape and length looks just great on her. Don't you think? Apparently Mary can't get enough of that colour and wore a pair of matching Cenius & Bach earrings, custom made for her. The earrings even features her monogram on the back. The story also goes that the designers have placed a blue stones somewhere, representing her royalty. Oh... I just love this idea. As on the third day in Canada Mary embrace the style by wearing a pair of snake pumps from Christian Louboutin. Not sure I will ever be able to afford a pair on my own, but I'd love to find something similar to hers. Her makeup was gorgeous, hairstyle flawless and smile beautiful. So, I would really like to her how would you style this dress and at what occasion would you wear it? I imagine a summer day with my friend and maybe a pair of brown sandals.

Conference in New York

  • 6:00 pm. The Crown Princess gave a speech at the Carriage House Centre.
  • 7:00 The Crown Princess gave a speech at the Women Deliver reception called Nothing About Us Without Us: Youth Driving Progress for Girls and Women

The Crown Prince couple have just arrived to Denmark after having visited Canada for three days on occasion of a official state visit. Now Mary is already on the go again and back in America. The reason is a conference in New York. Whether or not the Crown Princess stayed in America to attend this conference, I haven not been able to find out, but I think that would be the most practical. It is not the first time, and for sure not the last, she has been visiting New York to attend conference on healthcare issues. Now she is back to participate in meeting with among others High-Level Task Force and the UN 69th General Assembly, such as Women Deliver where she gave the opening speech. To me it seems like Mary was in a splendid mood during the day and committed as always, closely following everything that was doing on around her. Multiple times she also participated the discussions.

We really saw some incredible outfits during the official state visit in Canada just a couple of days ago. No complaining at all. Nor today, though Mary was wearing a quite simple outfit it looks polished and sophisticated as always. She matched a black Prada jacket and skirt (from the same designer) with a pair of nude Christian Louboutin pumps. Both jacket and skirt was seen back in 2007, on a trip to New York along with Frederik, here. From the beginning I had the feeling that Prada was the designer, but it has taken me a really long time proving it. Now I can. Unfortunately, it is no longer available online and I can't share any link with you, but I have some pictures on my computer if you would like to see them. Once again we got to see her magnificent 'Saffinao Cuir' handbag from Prada, which seems to be a favourite these days and I truly understand why. A stunning bag! No doubt that nude/beige looks great along with black, but the same does white. As in white pearl earrings from Marianne Dulong. Wauw! Another lovely accessory are the golden Orit Elhanati necklace and the Shamballa Jewels bracelet. Even for a meeting Mary, looks gorgeous.

Unbelievable how fast three days go by when you are having fun! Can't believe that Frederik and Mary have already been in Canada for three days and are soon leaving to go back to Denmark. Wish we had at least a couple more days. I really enjoy following the royal couple when they are on state visits. Enough about all the complaining. We have to get the best out of this last day that started with the opening of Danish Fashion and Food Week. Most day the Crown Prince couple spend their day in each others company, but they also had a few events on their own. Among other did Frederik attend a seminar on green building and sustainable and his wife attend her own seminar on mental healthcare. A really great day with lots of smiles and laughing. Every time the couple are on one of their official state visits, I always get so proud of them. They are doing really great and we have every reason to be proud of them.

On the last day she had chosen a simple and classic outfit in minimalistic colours - black and white with a twist of snake print on the pumps and the little Balenciaga belt emphasizes her beautiful, narrow waist. The white blouse featuring long sleeves and a white pearl as button, is by Elise Gug (2013 collection) design. Often when she is abroad on visits like this, she wears Danish brands. Makes me even more proud. It is the same case with the black pleated skirt that are from Signe Bøgelund-Jensen. This we saw the first time on a visit to Australia, maybe you remember it.

Embracing the classy style Mary had accessorized her outfit with a golden Shamballa Jewels bracelet, earrings and yet another bracelet both from Marianne Dulong. Then we have two diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The black shiny clutch is a design by Danish Carlend Copenhagen seen at countless occasions already and I am sure we will see it much more in the future. Last, but not least we have the most clever detail of them all: the snake print Christian Louboutin pumps. Can't get enough of these and I love the way she matched them to this rather simple outfit. What a beautiful Crown Princess we have!

It has been a pleasure following the couple on their trip to Canada with you. I hope you had as much fun as I did writing about it.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary during their day in Toronto

We are now on the second day and already half way through the official state visit to Canada. Today was just great and I really enjoyed seeing the couple together. Most of today they also spend in each others company. The day started with the opening of Danish Business Delegation in Canada. Couple of hours later, Frederik and Mary attended the award ceremony of HRH Prince Henrik's medal which was handed over to the winner by the Crown Prince himself. Their second day in Toronto mostly focused on topics like healthcare and fashion, all though these two things has not much in common. For example, Around noon Mary visited the Danish Style -Sneak Peak 2015. Here she was presented to several jewellery, clothes and shoe companies, which were more than delighted to show Mary their designs. The royal couple also payed a visit to the Art Gallery of Ontario, such as the Crown Prince visited the Canadian and Danish Design Collaboration.

At their second day, now in Toronto, Mary showed up in a navy blue outfit were most of it are reused. The figure hugging dress is from the Danish brand SAND Copenhagen (Fall 2012) such as the short navy blue jacket. Really a beautiful colour next to her fair skin and brownish hair colour. On her right arm, she was wearing a fantastic black pearl bracelet made by the talented Marianne Dulong. Right next to it, we have the gold Shamballa Jewels bracelet featuring a pink diamond ball. It is and looks very expensive. One thing made me completely thrilled, the silver Georg Jensen watch featuring shiny diamonds! I know I will never be able to pay that myself, but a girl is allowed to dream. So far we have only seen her wear it on state visits like these, never on an occasion in Denmark. Wonder why? She also wore some other jewellery from among others Marianne Dulong, Hartmanns and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The last time Mary wore these navy blue suede pumps, I tried to make it clear that I was mistaken when I assumed they are from Gianvito Rossi. I started to question it when I was not able to find the right model. Now, after quite some time, I know I was wrong about Rossi. In fact her pumps are from Pura Lopez. She beautifully embraced the style by wearing her grey Quidam clutch which has finally been identified once and for all. What makes this outfit even more magnificent is her hairstyle, isn't that absolutely stunning?!

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attending dinner

A couple of hours after the Crown Prince couple had their last event attending the presentation of Danish Active Houses, it was time for dinner which took place in the most beautiful decorated rooms at the Royal Ontario Museum. Everyone invited to the dinner, held on occasion of the Danish Royal couple's state visit in Canada, were warmly welcomed by Frederik and Mary at the arrival. The couple were also kindly welcomed when they arrived to the Royal Ontario Museum. Only a few pictures have been published from the dinner. I think it took place more or less behind closed doors, which is why the press weren't allowed during the dinner. Makes great sense to me. I hope they all enjoyed the evening with great food and good entertainment.

I really love that Mary had chosen to wear anything else than a little black dress. They are indeed appropriate, but can also be a bit boring when you know Mary. Like a true movie star, Mary was wearing her YDE Copenhagen creation made of the most incredible fabric. And yes, the identity of the dress has been confirmed. Her beautiful hairstyle, gave us the opportunity to get a very good view of the drop earrings featuring two colour stones and diamonds. We first saw them when the couple visited Poland. At that time I was so sure they came from Jewlscph, but that has been proven to be wrong. I have not always been a huge fan of two colour earrings, but I love the way these matched the rest of the outfit. Mary embrace the style with a yellow Yves Saint Laurent clutch and her golden Shamballa Jewels bracelet. When I noticed the shoes I was really surprised to see that she wore glitter leopard pumps from Gianvito Rossi (pre AW12). Smashing detail! Wauw. This is way better than any little black dress.

  • 2:35 pm. The Crown Prince couple attended a reception at the Danish Ambassador Niels Abrahamsen.
Crown Princess Mary's program
  • 2:00 pm. Crown Princess Mary attended a meeting about Skin Cancer Prevention

This visit is something I have been looking forward to for weeks! Since the day I found out that Frederik and Mary were going to Canada. And now the time is up, we do not have to wait any longer. I assume the couple arrived the day before, because their first event at the National War Memorial of Canada was a 9:15 am. local time. Showing their honor to those we lost in war, the couple placed a wreath with their initials on. The ceremony included a moment of pure silence. After a short boat trip on Ottawa river they visited the Canadian Museum of History. Before Mary on her own attended a meeting on skin cancer prevention, the royal couple met with the Canadian Governor and his wife. The atmosphere was incredible. Visiting the Centennial Public School was such an experience to followed. Mary just lighted up like the sun when she was around the children. I couldn't do anything, but smile. During the visit they took plenty of time talking with each and every one. The Crown Princess also read a story for kids; love the pictures!

Can't hide that I always have certain expectations of Mary when they are going on a state visit like this. First day is over and I am differently not disappointed. A magnificent outfit, kinda Jackie Kennedy-like especially because of the black Prada coat. Not new at all, but a piece like this you never get tired of. She once wore it when she was pregnant with the twins, here. Love how the pastel coloured (new, by the way) Hugo Boss dress is the diametrically opposed of the edgy coat. Simply love the idea! Oh... and thanks to all of you who shared the identity of her new floral printed dress with me. It is very much appreciated. Later I learned that the beautiful Queen Letizia has worn the exact same dress, very recently. Another thing that reminded me of J. Kennedy is the hat, a Susanne Juul creation similar to this, here. Very impressive piece. I kinda wanna... explore it. Earrings and bracelet are from Marianne Dulong. We also have a golden bracelet from Shamballa Jewels featuring a pink diamond ball. In the most amazing light grey colour Mary wore a pair of leather gloves, matching Quidam clutch and of course her Gianvito Rossi pumps. If the next couple of days turn out like this, then I'm sure I will pass out more than once, that's for sure! Absolutely lovely how she managed to keep everything classic and fresh at the same time.

"European Region 64 Regional Committee" meeting

Monday, September 15th

Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of the European Region 64 Regional Committee meeting as patron of the World Health Organization.

On a windy Monday, the Crown Princess arrived to UN town, Copenhagen, to attend the opening of European Region 64 Regional Committee meeting. Mary attended the opening of the conference as patron of the World Health Organization (WHO). At the arrival she was warmly welcomed with several handshakes and of course a beautiful bouquet with white and blue flowers. As guest of honor it was Mary's job to open the conference with a speech, which clearly caught everybody's attention. During the meeting the Crown Princess had found her seat next to Director-General of WHO Margaret Chan.

As always, Mary was really well-dressed! Very sophisticated and chic at the same time. Love how she turned classic pieces into this smashing outfit. A real business woman, exactly what it takes to be the representative for the World Health Organization. What she did was matching a black belted jacket, beautifully shapes and a printed Hugo Boss pencil skirt. Don't know if you own a pencil skirt, but I am convinced every woman can wear them. I am so inspired by what she wore at the meeting. Really lovely. She embrace the classy style by wearing her black pointed SAND Copenhagen pumps, diamond earrings and a couple of rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and a golden Shamballa Jewls bracelet. Simple, but stunning. Think like most women have something with shoes and handbags. I certainly do. Never can never get enough. Not sure I will ever be able to buy bags as expensive as Mary, but it is allow to dream -isn't it? Especially this Prada handbag is on my wish list. Amazing design, wonderful details; just so luxurious.

Celebrating Red Cross' 150th anniversary

Thursday, September 11th

Crown Princess Mary attended the celebrating of Red Cross' 150th anniversary which took place at Fredensborg palace. Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie were also invited to take part in the celebration.

150 years are quite some time. First I most congratulate Red Cross on behalf of their anniversary and everything they have achieved the last 150 years. Danish singers and actors were among the special invited guests taking part in the celebration, as well as five members of the royal family. The anniversary took place in the orangery at the beautiful and old Fredensborg castle. From what I now, no press was allowed to follow the festivity. Fair enough. Luckily there are lots of pictures from when the Crown Princess and the rest of the royal members arrived. These pictures were taken outside, in the garden, and from what I see I believe Mary, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie had a great time sipping a glass of champagne before attending dinner.

Special clothes are needed for a special occasion like this. That's probably who Mary showed up in this new curry gown which turns out to be from Hugo Boss (BOSS Black, RTW SS12). The dress was id'd by one of you, my lovely readers. I have the feeling that you have mixed emotions about the dress, am I right? A reason why I absolutely love it, is because it's unexpected. Rarely we see her wear a yellow dress, but this fits so perfectly the late summer weather! The beautiful gold earrings are traditional Portuguese earrings and the model is called ‘Queen earrings’. Very appropriate for a future queen. It’s the second time we see her wear them. Embracing her beautiful slim figure, she wore a black laser cut belt which I still do not know where is from, but could be Boss as well. Also in black Mary was wearing a leather bracelet, possibly from Naledi Copenhagen, a feather clutch from Jayson Brunsdon and lace pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Since we saw the clutch the first time, I was so sure it was a Club Monaco design (admit it, they look very similar!), but at Brunsdon's Facebook page it has been confirmed that he is in fact the designer. Love how chic and edgy her look turned out, especially because of the eye makeup and black details. So, have I been able to convince those of you who didn't like the dress at first?

Loneliness on the agenda

Thursday, September 11th

Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of Community as a National Cause organized by Ældre Sagen.

With the opening of Community as a National Cause, it is time to talk about loneliness among elderly people, especially those who are on their own. Aiming to fight agains loneliness and social isolation, the same as the Mary Foundation work for among children and young people, Ældre Sagen has organized this conference. It was Bjarne Hastrup, CEO of Ældre Sagen, and the sweetest flower girl who kindly welcomed the Crown Princess at the arrival.

What I have managed to find out about her participations, is that she gave a very strong and emotional opening speech talking about some of the consequences of loneliness and social isolation. Another one attending and who gave a speech was the Danish Social Minister Manu Sareen. Just like Mary, he was given a laud and long applause. As Mary has talked about consequences in her speech a little earlier, was the topic discussed later on. I really hope a conference like this will be able to find solutions, at least some, that will work in real life to reduce the numbers of lonely elderly.

Even though sun has returned to Denmark and it feels more like summer than soon autumn, Mary had chosen to wear the most incredible fall colours. The black jacket from MaxMara is a reuse and we have seen her in it countless times on many different occasions before this one. In fact it goes all the way back to 2004, but we have not seen it for quite some years, until now. Previous times she has worn the jacket could be here, here and here. When did she wear it better? The skirt, however, is brand new and is from Heartmade (Pre-autumn 2014). Absolutely love the rusty colour and the fact that it's lace. The combo with the plain black jacket and a more feminine skirt, simply looks great!

Mary accessorized her fall outfit with a black Carlend Copenhagen, a pair of black leather SAND Copenhagen pumps and ball earrings from Jewlscph. Another thing I noticed is the new brooch. Kate managed to find it on Ebay, but with no real designer on it. Keeping everything absolutely beautiful her hair looked all stunning. So simple, yet smashing! Unbelievable who much one single bobby pen can do.

The Psychiatry Foundation’s Conference & Foundation meeting

Wednesday, September 10th

Crown Princess Mary attended, as patron, the Psychiatry Foundation’s Conference on psychologically vulnerable young people. The conference took place at Crowne Plaza, Copenhagen.

Crown Princess Mary also attended a meeting with the Mary Foundation taking place at Frederik VIIIs palace, Amalienborg.

Crown Princess Mary at the Psychiatry Foundation’s Conference

With a huge smile on her face, Mary arrived to Hotel Crowne Plaza in Copenhagen to attend the opening of Psychiatry Foundation’s Conference focusing on psychologically vulnerable young people. Mary attended as one of many. She was there as patron of the Psychiatry Foundation, a role she has had for quite many years so far. Being committed to the Psychiatry Foundation work, I think Mary has been able to learn much, especially for her work with the Mary Foundation. No doubt that her presents at the conference created a very special and warm atmosphere. Something I have heard people say over and over again, is that Mary has a unique way of letting everybody feel welcome and relaxed.

Crown Princess Mary attending a meeting with the Mary Foundation

These meetings are annual and what I know of, we have been invited inside to get a few glimpse, every year. The Mary Foundation's Presidium are gathered to share experiences and of course results from the past year. Plans for the next were presented by both the Crown Princess herself and CEO of the Mary Foundation Helle Østergaard, later to be discussed at the meeting. Sitting on golden chairs in a room where the lamps are huge chandeliers and the walls are covered by tapestries, was the meeting taking place. On this occasion a large screen was place in the other end of the room, so that everybody could see it.

As well as I completely feel in love with her smile, that new two tone Baum und Pferdgarten (High Summer 2014) dress impressed me! The dress really features some magnificent details. It was quite windy when she arrived to Hotel Crowne Plaza, still she had chosen not to wear any coat. Not that it's unusual at all. Actually the only new thing we saw was the dress. Everything else are reused. It is great to see our fashionable Crown Princess reuse her clothes and accessories. Mary proves with this outfit that reused fashion is never outdated. It only becomes better and better, just like old whine, over time. Once again she was dressed in navy blue. Both dress, Quidam clutch and Pura Lopez pumps are in that incredible colour. Mary embraced the classy style by wearing white pearl earrings from Marianne Dulong, a golden Shamballa Jewels bracelet and her golden Cartier watch -seen multiple times before. I can't hide how overwhelmed I am of this outfit, nor how dazzling her hair looks. Love how it's all wavy and gorgeous. That brown colour makes her look young and fresh! Because the meeting at Frederik VIIIs place took place following the conference at Crowne Plaza, there was no time to change clothes. Oh... can't wait to hear what you have to say about her outfit.

The Carlsberg Foundation's Research Award 2014

Tuesday, September 9th

Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of the Carlsberg Foundation's Research Awards 2014 at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Copenhagen.

To receive an award is one thing, but to receive it from the Crown Princess of Denmark herself has to be one big honor. Don't know if I will ever get the change, maybe one day it is me you see on the stage next to Mary. Well, that's not what this is all about, though it has something to do with an award because Mary attended the presentation of Carlsberg Foundation's Research Awards 2014. In a great mood the Crown Princess arrived to Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen. One day I have to see the place on my own, the building i just beautiful. Almost magical. A few speeches were given and then it was time for Mary and Carlsberg Foundation Chairman Flemming Besenbacher to enter the stage and hand over the awards. The winner were found: Professor Gitte Mood Knudsen, from Copenhagen University Hospital and Professor, Doctor of Philosophy Jesper Ryberg from Roskilde University. Congratulations to them both! After the presentation, some more speeches and a few pictures a dinner took place which Mary also attended. Music was played during the dinner. Certainly a day to remember.

Seems like blue is her favourite colours these days, but I love it. Always adored that navy blue colour and it looks so beautiful with her porcelain skin and dark brown hair. A trendy colour used by almost every designer right now. At the presentation she was dressed in a brilliant floral printed dress from Erdem, first seen in 2013. At that time worn with blue earrings and blue pumps, just like this time. She matched her outfit with stunning aquamarine earrings from Annitkat. The navy Rupert Sanderson pumps completed the look in a great way. In their own stylish way because of the classic design and shape. A match made in heaven with that red Carlend Copenhagen clutch! Immediately my eyes were drawn to the clutch when I first noticed it. Somehow Mary always manages to surprise me, one way or another and she certainly did with this outfit. She is never afraid of trying something new, wear colours and prints. Really, who does not love that clutch with that dress? I also love how the dress is all figure hugging and then her hair looks so voluminous and curly. Looks just great!

Within fourteen days the Crown Prince couple are going to Canada on an official visit. On occasion os this visit Frederik and Mary hosted a reception at Frederik VIIIs palace, Amalienborg, along with Canadian ambassador H.E. André Francois Giroux. The royal couple welcomed all the special invited guest in the Fanegemakket. To it seems like they all were in a really great mood at the welcoming ceremony. The actual reception took place behind closed doors, so we only have some pictures from the arrival.

The first thing I noticed right away, is the fact that Mary was dressed in the exact same colour as the colour on the walls. That's style! For quite some years I have been waiting to see her in that specific dress again because it's not new. You remember it, right? The first time we saw her wearing the blue Hugo Boss (BOSS Black) dress was in 2010, here. At that time she styled with a stunning updo and a pair of earrings featuring coral pendants. Then in 2012, here, we saw it again now with curly hair and burgundy accessories. Now two years has pasted, again, and here we have her in the dress one more time. Dazzling as the first time Mary embrace the style wearing her Marianne Dulong earrings featuring the coral drop pendants. What's great about these earrings, then it's the fact that the pendants are changeable. She has been wearing the golden Shamballa Jewels bracelet quite a lot lately, and it is indeed magnificent, which she also did at the reception along with a couple of other golden bracelets. The diamond rings are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. When she attended a concert in Tivoli, here, a few weeks ago she wore the exact same navy blue suede pumps as yesterday. At first I was sure they were designed by Gianvito Rossi, but with much extra research they have been found at Pura Lopez.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attending Flag Day 2014

The national Flag Day goes back to 2004. The initiative comes from constable Kim Eg Thygesen. But since 2009, September 5th has been devoted to Flag Day. The day is held to honor those lost in battle, those who died during war and for those soldiers who are stationed. Think almost every year since have Frederik and Mary attended the ceremony and placed a wreath in honor to the soldiers. So they did this year. Side by side did the couple arrive to Kastellet in Copenhagen. This ceremony was only one of three held that day. The couple also attended a church service in Holmen's church and a parade on occasion of the Flag Day 2014. On a day like this, the atmosphere is slightly depressed and it was clear how everybody attending were having the same feelings. I think it is very strong to see the royal couple there; showing their support and sympathy. Both Frederik and Mary have at several occasions payed a visit to the Danish soldiers stationed and are also familiar with the military -Frederik as every from Captain of the reserve army and Captain of the Air Force Reserve and Mary as lieutenant in the Homeguard. Because of that they both know what it takes to serve their duty.

Crown Princess Mary attending How to House! -architecture, welfare and innovation in Bella Centre

Between the first and third and fourth event on occasion of the national Flag Day, the Crown princess had somewhere else to go. Here she attended the opening of How to House! -architecture, welfare and innovation which is a part of the conference entitled Almindelige Boligdage 2014 taking place in Bella Centre, Copenhagen. Mary was warmly welcomed by the sweetest flower girl who handed over a beautiful bouquet of flowers to her. Of course Mary gave a speech as part of the opening ceremony which was followed by a guided tour around the exhibition.

Mary's always well-dressed no matter where she is going, but it takes a real woman to find an outfit that shows elegance, modernity and at the same time is respectable for a task like this. I'm sure many of you noticed the beautiful floral skirt from Hennes & Mauritz (Conscious Collection Fall 2011) worn a few times before. Mary matched her midi skirt with a black Hugo Boss peplum. Very classy she had chosen a Susanne Juul creation, which we have seen at several occasions for instance when the couple visited the United States back in 2010, here. The enamel earrings shaped as flowers is differently new, unfortunately I have not been able to find out about anything. What I do know, is that the black pearl bracelet is from Marianne Dulong. As many times before it is her brown Carlend Copenhagen clutch she had chosen to wear with today's outfit. A lovely match with both the beige gloves, hat and shoes of course -a pair of old goodies from Christian Louboutin. The beige leather gloves hid the fact that she was also wearing her golden Cartier watch. Nothing other than a gorgeous look.
