Gala Performance at The Royal Theatre

Wednesday, June 25th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended, on occasion of the consul meeting taking place in Copenhagen these days, a gala performance at the Royal Theatre, Copenhagen, along with Queen Margrethe, Prince Henrik, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte.

In occasion of the consul meeting the Royal Family attended a Gala Performance at the Royal Theatre. Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte attended the performance. They all seemed to look forward to an evening with both ballet and opera. Frederik and Mary were warmly welcomed, as the rest of the royal family members, especially by the attendance who all got a glimpse of Denmark's future King and Queen who, by the way, seemed to enjoy spending the evening together. I always think it is a pleasure seeing them going somewhere together, not just the Crown Prince couple but also the rest of the family. Always thought they were getting along so well as a family. At the gala performance several politicians and other prominent people, among others workers for the royal family, attended this very special evening event.

Mary in that brand new white dress is simply explained by one word: dazzling! She looked so elegant and sophisticated wearing a white lace dress from Bøgelund-Jensen (collection 2012). It is from Kate I have the information on the dress; this overwhelmingly beautiful dress. Can't stop staring at it, I keep noticing details making the dress even more splendid. So timeless. She paired it with a rather large white pearl bracelet from Marianne Dulong and of course that huge aquamarine blue earrings! The credit goes to Pernille and Kate who actually managed to identify her new earrings as Annikat. I must say, I'm impressed by this masterpieces shaped as earrings. Keeping the look clean and polished Mary wore a white pair of pointed pumps but so far I have not been able to ID them. My thoughts goes to Gianvito Rossi or perhaps Prada. Take a look at the two models below and please tell me if you think it could be one of them. I'm still not sure. What I know of, she has a pair of white Prada pumps and these could be the same. The beige suede clutch is differently new and I was able to find it at Hugo Boss. Rare we see any clutches designed by Hugo Boss but here we have one. Think they should make more clutches and bags, don't you? As one last thing I have to mention her hairstyle! Something we have never seen before and it looks magnificent. Maybe even a little edgy. She just nailed it!

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attend a dinner on occasion of the Consul meeting at the House of Industry, Copenhagen.

It was on occasion of a Consul meeting taking place in Copenhagen these day the Crown Prince couple arrived to the House of Industry, Copenhagen, to attend a dinner on Tuesday evening. At the arrival Frederik and Mary were met by the evening's hosts who warmly welcomed the couple. I only have very little information about their evening at the House of Industry. Besides what I have already told you I only know that Minister for development Cooperation, Mogens Jensen also attended the dinner arriving only shortly before the royal couple (apparently because of a troubled glass door according to Billed Bladet) who, of course, have to arrive as the last guests. What royal "rules" prescribe. If the couple, and other invited guests, was in the same mood all evening, I think it has been a pleasure for all of them.

Is it just me or does Mary know exactly how to rock a printed dress like this?! If you ask me; a dress like this is one of the most difficult yo wear. But Mary stunned me as always in her silver lake printed dress from Mary Katrantzou. Crazy about that print featuring pink cherry blossoms, tree branches and a beautiful lake. It was with help from Lurdes, Boryana and Pernille I learned about the dress and its designer. Checked out some other dresses designed by Mary Katrantzou and I have to say I'm impressed by the colour, prints and patterns she uses. Very impressive! By the way, Mary's new dress is made of 100 % silk if it's in anyone's interest. So how to style such a (gorgeous) printed dress? -Well do like our lovely Crown Princess and wear nude accessories. Both her Christian Louboutin pumps and clutch draw your eyes back to the dress. About the clutch, then it looks like her suede Hugo Boss clutch though this one, worn at the dinner, looks more like patent leather. What do you see? Keeping everything classy and super stylish she wore golden jewellery from Orit Elhanati and Marianne Dulong. Something that crossed my mind today was: how on earth does Mary manage to look both casual and very elegant at the same time? -think I got the answer. Hairstyle. Often at such events she wears sky high pumps and dazzling dresses, but keeping her hair all loose gives a softer look. Right? Very very beautiful evening outfit.

The Reumert Award / Årets Reumert 2014

Sunday, June 22nd
Photo @Agnés Colbert
Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the annual Reumert Award 2014 taking place at the Royal Theatre, Copenhagen.

The Reumert Award / Årets Reumert 2016
... goes back to 1998 where it was established by Bikubenfonden. The Reumert Award / Årets Reumert aims to focus on live performing art in Denmark, to honor some of the talented Danish artists and arouse the interest for theater. Every year 22 various awards are presented and given to among others actors, singers, dancers, stage designers all live broadcast. This year, 2014, the Reumert Awards are given for the 16th time. You find more information here

One of the many times I'm glued to the TV is when the Reumert Award show is live broadcasted. It's something I really look forward to every year. For quite many years I've watched the show and truly enjoy it -of course some years are better then others. Wish I managed to watch more live performing art, unfortunately I don't. This one night I get to see and hear everything from the world of singers, dancers, actors etc. Within two hours you have seen a little bit of everything  from the past years cultural arts performances whether it's a provocative performance on stage or classic music. Just brilliant for someone like me. Prominent guests such as the Crown Prince couple were all invited to watch the show which was broadcasted live on Sunday evening taken place in the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen. The royal couple arrived, in a great mood, shortly before the Reumert Award show was about to begin. During the broadcast we got to see Frederik and Mary and it seemed like they truly enjoyed the evening together watching the show from the theaters balcony. 22 awards were handed over during the evening. You find all of them here, along with the ten talent award winners and the winner of this years honorary award. Each and everyone of the prizewinners were given a statue made of glass designed by painter John Kørner. Congratulations to all of them!!

OMG! Look at that figure. Not many women are able to fit in a ten years old dress as beautifully as Mary is. It's her ten years old Céline (RTW Fall 2004lace dress. Recognize it? Believe the first time she it was at a gala performance on occasion of the 200th anniversary of Danish writer H.C. Andersen in 2005, here, at the Royal Theatre -yes, exactly the same place as where this years Reumert Award took place. And then again at a visit to Budapest in 2010, here. One dress = three outfits representing three different stages of her life. Good purchases always stay fashionable! Amazed as I was of the dress, I can't stop starring at her new black pointed lace pumps. Simply gorgeous. They have been found by Kate at Gianvito Rossi. Thanks! Know I have already said this probably a million times before, but Gianvito Rossi's shoes are just incredibly stunning. Who would not like to have that pair of shoes in their wardrobe? Think most of us would. For sure you also noticed her curly hairstyle, right? She looks like a 40's movie star, especially because of the red lipstick. I'm a sucker for both red lips and red nail polish, so this is makeup my style. Makes her outfit incredibly glamours. As in 2005 Mary wore her rather rage pink pendant in a necklace, matched with a pair of Cenius & Bach earrings. The clutch is reused as well, still not ID'd, but I think it could be from Bottega Veneta.

Campaign: Sommerbogen in Roskilde

Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of Sommerbogen in Roskilde; a campaign encourages children to read.

Sommerbogen 2014
... is a campaign developed to encourages children spending more time on reading books both to broaden their horizons, excite their imagination and at the same time help to develop their language skills. Crown Princess Mary attended the big opening.

Books have always been an important thing in my life. It's something I truly enjoy and find it very important to spend time reading books. To have the ability to read is a gift. At the time I was about to learn how to read I told my mom: that reading was not necessary. It was not important to learn how to read, now I see it as a precious gift. So thanks mom. With the pleasure I have for books, I can't imagine a world without. It was one big day, a tribute to book readings, when Mary attended the opening of Sommerbogen 2014 at the local library in Roskilde. She arrived in the most amazing mood, laughing and smiling, especially when she was welcomed with flowers handed over by one of the kids. No doubt that the children were the focal point of her day in Roskilde. With a countdown from 10 and a short speech, the Sommerbog campaign was officially launched. In her speech she among other things talked about her own passion for books when she was their age, a passion I believe she has encouraged her own children to find as well. In several previous interviews, her and Frederik have told how much the children loves reading and that they both enjoy reading along with their kids. When visiting the local library all her time was spent talking to children; asking them about favourite books and see some of their book reviews. Think it was a great day for all of them.

Totally in love with her outfit from when she attended the Sommerbogen 2014 opening in Roskilde! Though it's quite windy and cold in Denmark right now, Mary didn't even wore a coat at the visit. Wonder if she ever feels cold? -never mind. Well composed, like a good book or good music, Mary was dressed in a brand new knee length floral skirt from Dolce & Gabbana (pre-spring 2013). It was found by Lurdes. Thanks! The new skirt she'd matched with a navy blue shirt which I have not been able to identify yet. Any ideas? I thought about designers like Prada or maybe Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. But nothing I have found, indicates I'm right. In my opinion, a match made in heaven! And a pair of nude patent pumps from Christian Louboutin, she was really good looking. Quite a long time since we have seen her in these pumps, lovely to see them again. No complete outfit without a few accessories. Mary had chosen a couple of golden Marianne Dulong bracelets, and one from Shamballa Jewels, a pair of Louise Grønlykke earrings (last seen when she attended a concert in Copenhagen, here), then a twisted golden Orit Elhanati necklace, diamond bands from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and last but not least the suede clutch is from Hugo Boss. Guess it's new? Can't remember having seen it before. With a glimpse in the car, I noticed her brown Ralph Lauren bag as well. Crazy in love right now!

Young Global Leaders’ Seminar

Thursday, June 19th
Photo @Agnés Colbert
Crown Princess Mary attended the Young Global Leaders' Seminar on Efficient Energy Development at Eigtveds Pakhus in Copenhagen.

The Forum of Young Global Leaders
It all began back in 1971 where the first European Management Symposium was launched, based in Geneva, Switzerland. The founder is Professor Schwab. He invited European business leaders to Switzerland each January to the Annual Meeting. Gathered to focus on how European companies could catch up with US management practices. Today this meeting has developed to have more than 13 communities, one of them is Young Global Leaders with around 900 exceptional young leaders. Read more about YGL here.

Now it is two years since the Crown Princess was announced member of Young Global Leaders by World Economic Forum because of her outstanding leadership, successful performance and commitment to the community. Along with 192 other members from 59 countries around the globe, she has discussed the global economy with the world's political and business leaders. In Denmark royals ain't allowed to express themselves political, despite that Mary managed to enter this world of law, rules, ethic and political issues. But every time she's keynote speaker, it's important for her to find the balance as member of the royal family and member of Young Global Leaders. This is why I, among others, think Mary is truly admired for her commitment in the global debate -because although she can't speak freely, does not mean she do not speak at all. Mary has found her way to the podium and now speaks on behalf a millions of people.

Then yesterday Mary attended a seminar with other members of the Young Global Leaders. She arrived in a great mood along with her lady-in-waiting, where she was warmly welcomed. This was indeed an official event, but only a few photographers and journalists showed up. Luckily Agnés Colbert showed up and got these wonderful photos she have given me permission to share with you. (Please remember to ask for permission if you also want to share her photos). Shortly after the arrival she entered the building to attend the seminar. Couple of hours later she drove back home, hopefully with lots of new information.

As previously told, only very few photos have been published from her presence at the Young Global Leaders’ Seminar at Eigtveds Pakhus, Copenhagen, which made it so difficult in details to see what Mary was wearing. Now I have Agnés' photos and it's clear to me she wore many wonderful accessories. She matched an old Parker blouse with a black pencil skirt. Looks great! Perfect way to look smashing at work. Quite some years ago she wore this blouse for the first time, also with a pencil skirt I think. Looking dazzling her outfit was styled with the year old Bottega Veneta bag, the most incredible Gianvito Rossi pumps and jewellery from both Shamballa JewelsOle Lynggaard Copenhagen and Orit Elhanati. The short golden necklace cause me lot of trouble trying to identify where it's from. And I'm not the reason why it was found, you are! Close up photos also showed me that Mary wore both earrings and a lovely long necklace from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Normally I do not like mixing up gold and silver jewellery, but somehow Mary manages to do it with perfection. I have come to like it after all, especially after this.

'One Direction' Concert in Copenhagen

Monday, June 16th

Crown Princess Mary attended a One Direction concert in Copenhagen along with Prince Christian and Princess Isabella.

I never went to a concert with neither my mother or father, or both but I clearly imagine what I great experience that must be. That's exactly what Mary did couple of days ago along with her two oldest children Prince Christian and Princess Isabella. The band One Direction gave a concert in Copenhagen. All three royal members arrived shortly before the concert was about to begin, looking like they were more than ready to enjoy the evening together. Wonder if the boys from One Direction knew about the royal guests attending their concert? They probably did, maybe not before but for sure after because pictures are all over the internet of the Crown Princess and two children. Both Prince Christian and Princess Isabella were in a great mood at the arrival, surely all excited about the concert they were about to join.

Dressed in black from head to toe. Not often we get to see Mary dressed in that much black clothes as she did attending the concert couple of days ago in Copenhagen. But nothing bad about that, looks just great! She was wearing, what looks like her Hugo Boss peplum without cap sleeves. I still haven't figured out where this, sleeveless, peplum is from. Any ideas? Way more interesting is the new printed trousers. Think it's the first time we see something like this. These new trousers have been found a BOSS Hugo Boss (FW 2013-14) by the amazing Kate. Maybe you remember it from one of her pencil skirts featuring the same interesting print. Can't stop staring at her look. Very edgy. Styled with a black leather bag, which has finally been identified as Dolce & Gabbana, a pair of black SAND Copenhagen and brand new earrings from Louise Grønlykke. Love the understated way of accessorizing an outfit. It's an quite easy outfit to try yourself. Mary also added a diamond band from Ole Lynggaard and her Shamballa Jewels bracelet. Perfect for a girls-night-out!

Children's Relay 2014

Saturday, June 14th

Crown Princess Mary attended the Children's Relay 2014 in Fælledparken, Copenhagen as patron of the Mary Foundation who arranged the relay along with Save the children.

Børnestafet 2014 / Children's Relay 2014
... was founded in 2008. It has been an upcoming event every year since. The project is made in collaboration with The Mary Foundation and Save The Children (Red Barnet) focuses on bullying among children. The relay is a way to reach out to children and teach them how to be a good friend, respect each other and have the courage to act. Read more about the relay here.

Along with Free of Bullying's mascot, the purple teddy bear Mary handed over golden medals to all the children who crossed the finish line after participating in the Children's relay 2014 in Fælledparken, Copenhagen. It has become a tradition for her, as patron of the Mary Foundation, to attend the relay which has taken place since 2008, so this is the 7th Children's relay. This is differently something I look forward to every year because Mary is always having so much fun. Makes me smile to see how happy the kids are to get a medal from a real princess. Priceless moments. She arrived shortly before the relay was just about to begin, where she was welcomed by among others director Helle Østergaard of the Mary Foundation, their mascot and some of the prominent people who also attended. To me it feels like something Mary sincerely enjoy; meeting children, see their commitment and how much they enjoy participating. That would make any mother happy. She and all the participating children, before the relay began, worked out to good music. Love she does not hesitate and do exactly what everybody else is doing all surround by kids. Wonderful day for all of them wonderfully captured in pictures by Agnés Colbert.

Few days ago, Mary celebrated her father-in-law in France wearing a new bright green maxi dress from Ilse Jacobsen which instantly became popular! When Mary showed up yesterday at the Children’s relay 2014 in Fælledparken she also wore a brand new outfit. Seems like it’s time for her to add some new pieces to her wardrobe. Pretty sure we get to see many new pieces we haven't seen before. A few things she wore are reused, as the old aquamarine blue Marianne Dulong earrings, the golden Shamballa Jewels bracelet, the lovely tanned bag from Chloé and the tiny diamonds band from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Then of course you have already noticed that Mary was wearing brand new sunglasses. Here I can't hide my excitement; I simply love them! Everything about them is perfect -the 50's cat eye shape, brown leopard print, everything is so stylish. Who designed them? Well the great Madonna did for Dolce & Gabbana. Unfortunately I haven’t found anything similar to the blue blouse nor trousers she wore but from the photos I have, I know the black jacket is from Prada, of course (take a look at the pic below). Mary also wore these new ballet flats featuring a laser-cut pattern and rivets. Maybe you recognize the style? If not, then maybe if I tell you that these are from Alaïa. I had a little trouble finding out where her rather new golden necklace is from. At first I thought Marianne Dulong but then Pernille told be to look at Orit Elhanati. Bingo!

A big and laud congratulations from me to Prince Henrik on his 80th birthday! Last week was all about celebration: on Sunday a gala performance in DR's concert hall followed by a reception at Fredensborg castle hosted by the Prince himself and his lovely wife, Queen Margrethe. All along, friends and family from near and far have been there to celebrate the Prince on his big day but now it was time for the close family to celebrate him. So they were all gathered at Château de Cayx in France enjoying the day together. Both Frederik, Mary, their four children, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and all four children spend the day in France celebrating Prince Henrik. Usually a huge gala dinner is planned but not this year. Everything was way more relaxed and private. But for a moment the world was able to congratulate the Prince and get a glimpse of the whole family gathered. The atmosphere was really relaxed and I think everybody just enjoyed the moment for a family photo with Château de Cay in the background.

For sure you all right away noticed Mary in her brand new pleated maxi dress. That bright green colour can't be overlooked. Actually Mary and her mother-in-law were the only two wearing bright colours at the photo call. The colour makes me so happy, what about you? Immediately I fell in love with everything about that dress. Where is it from you ask? -I found it among several colourful models from Ilse Jacobsen. A designers I don not believe we have ever seen Mary wear before. Wouldn't mind have it as part of my own wardrobe. Loves how the dress makes her almost fly above ground. Stunning summer dress! No doubt that Mary's favourite material for jewellery is gold and that's exactly how she had styles her casual birthday look; with golden earrings from Marianne Dulong featuring diamonds, another new piece from Orit Elhanati and a Shamballa Jewels bracelet. The length of the dress makes it a bit difficult for me to ID what pair of shoes she was wearing, but then I stumbled across a photo that clearly shows braided sandals (and that she is wearing red nail polish on her toes -my favourite nail polish colour of them all!). Took the time to search for braided sandals and found out that Mary's are from a label called DB. I can't find it again but I saved the picture on my computer to you who want evidence of what I claim. She radiated with wavy hair and a natural makeup.

80th Birthday: Reception at Fredensborg

Monday, June 2nd

Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik hosted a reception in the orangery at Fredensborg castle on occasion of the Prince's 80th birthday on June 11th. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary also attended the reception.

Bt.dk

It takes more than one day of celebration to celebrate when Denmark's Prince Henrik is turing 80 on June 11th. And really, it's not everyday you turn 80 so friends and family are invited to take part in the celebration. On Sunday he was accompanied by Queen Margrethe, his oldest son and his family (among others) at a gala performance in DR's grand concert hall which, by the way, was transmitted live on Danish TV. A wonderful evening with lots of music, entertaining and a walk down back memory lane. Now it was time again because the Queen and Prince hosted a reception in the orangery at Fredensborg castle, where close friends and family were invited all to celebrate the Prince before his big day. Just as the weather, the Prince was in an excellent mood really enjoying the evening. To me it seems like all of them really had a wonderful evening. Frederik and Mary also attended the reception. Both relaxed and enjoying themselves. With the opportunity to meet old friends, I think it was a memorable evening.

Immediately I fell in love with Mary's outfit from yesterdays gala performance and I was even more amazed by what she wore on Monday at the reception taking place at Fredensborg castle. I am crazy in love with this floral evening outfit! The black and red floral dress is a brand new silk dress from Dolce & Gabbana and is absolutely amazing. Sorry, can't hide my excitement. And the way she styled it with new and old accessories, is simply perfection in my opinion. The beautiful diamond earrings featuring that huge red ruby, is part of the Ruby parure inherited from Queen Ingrid -Frederik's grandmother. The earrings were originally not part of the parure but created by Marianne Dulong and her team when the rest of the parure were restored around 2010. Despite they are fairy new, the design matches the almost 100 year old Ruby parure. In the same magnificent red/pink colour as on her new dress and red earrings, she wore a Carlend Copenhagen clutch. The black bracelet you see on her wrist is a little more special because it was given to her by Frederik on heir 10th anniversary last month. The day was celebrated in Poland, here, which I'm quite sure you clearly remember. It is created by Ragnar R. Jørgensen. Perfectly from head to toe. Dazzling hairstyle, red berry lips and her beige Christian Louboutin pumps. Seriously, what's not to love?

Gala Performance: Prince Henrik Turns 80!

Sunday, June 1st
Photo @Agnés Colbert
Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik attended on occasion of Prince Henrik's 80th birthday, a gala performance in DR's concert hall, Copenhagen, along with the Crown Prince couple, Prince Christian and Princess Isabella, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix. The Queens sister Queen Anne-Marie and her husband King Konstantin of Greece and Princess Elisabeth were also invited.

June 11th 2014, it is a very special for Prince Henrik because he turns 80! What better why to celebrate the Prince than gathering the whole family for a gala performance in DR's concert hall, Copenhagen. And what a night! Shortly before 7 pm. local time, the royal family arrived ready to attend a wonderful evening hosted by Nikolaj Koppel (pianist, musical director and journalist) and Cecilie Stenspil (actress). Right before Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik arrived, the Crown Prince couple and their two oldest children arrived to the concert hall in Copenhagen, part of the DR city at Amager. Prince Christian and Princess Isabella stole my heart! A little shy in front of the cameras, who wouldn't be? Both Frederik and Mary seemed extremely proud of their kids. Again, who wouldn't be? Prince Joachim and Princess Marie also attend along with his two oldest sons -Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix, such as King Constantine of Greece and Queen Anne-Marie and Princess Elisabeth did. The William Blakes, pianist Bent Fabricius-Bjerre and comedian Andreas Bo entertained as part of the gala performance. All of it was broadcasted live on Danish TV, which I of course watched with great pleasure! Pictures can tell a story but a live footage gives a much better impression of what was actually going on.

It was a sea of tiny light balls when Mary stepped out of the car arriving to the concert hall accompanied by Frederik, Prince Christian and Princess Isabella. She was wearing the most magnificent Tony Maticevski (Spring/Summer 2013) evening gown featuring golden details dazzling in the flashlights of cameras! Actually it's not the first time we see the dress but feels like it. Do you remember it? -When she gave an interview to Women's Weekly in 2013, here. Perfectly matching the golden details on the dress, Mary had chosen golden jewelleries from Danish jeweller Marianne Dulong; a pair of large loop earrings featuring a gold/diamond pendant, such as a couple of bracelets. And then there is a ring on her finger. First I told you it was a silver ring from Georg Jensen from their Fusion collection -I was completely wrong (I make mistakes as everybody else). With a few more photos I have come to the conclusion it is a design by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. A winter frost ring or a spring ring. Make up your mind and let me know. If you find a clearer photo of her hand wearing the ring, please feel free to share it with me. As the jewellery match everything stunningly, the Judith Leiber clutch and metallic Manolo Blahnik pumps did too. I learned about the pumps from Pernille who shared the ID with me earlier. Dazzling as the rest, her hairstyle is worth noticing. A rather simple, yet very elegant, chignon created with a gold hairband. And of course I have to mention the adorable Princess Isabella in her ice blue dress and curly hair! Isn't she just the sweetest thing you have ever seen? Handsome dressed as his father, we Prince Christian wearing a black suit.

70th Birthday Party at Rosendal Manor

Friday, May 30th

Count Ditlev Knuth-Winterfeldt celebrated his 70th birthday which took place at Rosendal Manor. Queen Margrethe, Prince Henrik and the Crown Prince couple were invited.

A couple of hundreds guest were invited, including the Queen, her husband and the Crown Prince couple, to take part in the celebration of Count Ditlev Knuth-Winterfeldt who celebrated his 70th birthday at Rosendal Manor in Fakse. Arriving shortly before the Queen and Prince Henrik, were Frederik and Mary warmly welcomed by Count Ditlev and his daughter. All four members of the royal family were relaxed at the arrival and seemed to have been looking forward to this evening. With Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik arriving as the last guests, the celebration was about to begin. It was an evening with a great planned menu, several guests had prepared speeches given during the party and music enjoyed by everyone. I can't imagine anything else than the royal couple have had a wonderful evening. It was a private celebration and only a few photographers such as journalists showed up to catch a glimpse of all those who had been invited.

About the evening gown Mary had chosen to wear at the birthday celebration, then finally after a loooong time I am now aware of who the designer it. Heaven is the one to identify Nina Ricci (Fall 2006) as the creator of her evening gown. Really this is a dress you either love or hate. I am differently the first; I simply adore it. Bu the way, do you remember the dress? All the way back in 2008, here, she wore it during an official visit to Island along with Frederik. Think it's great how she managed to keep her look a bit more casual this time with her hair down. Matching the black details on the dress, she was wearing a black leather bracelet which I strongly believe is from Naledi Copenhagen, a pair of satin Prada pumps and an old (lost) favourite of hers, a black beaded clutch never identified. When we talk about Prada I want to mention that once a fellow share her thoughts with me that Prada could be the designer of this dress, but so far I haven't been able to prove it. Now you know. Not everything was black because she had chosen a pair of diamond earrings custom made by Marianne Dulong featuring rose quartz pendants. I could differently see Mary wear this outfit again someday with some kind of elegant hairdo.

Meeting with Children, Youth and Grief

Tuesday, May 27th

Crown Princess Mary attended a meeting, as patron, with the organization Children, Youth and Grief which took place in Copenhagen.

Children, Youth and Grief / Børn, Unge og Sorg
... an organization offering free support and treatment for children and young people, under the age of 28, with a parent or sibling who is seriously ill or died. Children, Youth and Grief also educates professionals to handle these different and emotional situations that might occur for children and young people with a seriously ill family member. Read and support their work here

In a fairy young age, 25, when Mary was just about to start a life on her own, she lost her mother - Henrietta Donaldson. A tragic experience for every child and young person, so for her to become patron for Children, Youth and Grief is ideal. She knows about their situation and how difficult it sometimes can be to have a parent or sibling who is seriously ill or died from a seriously disease. This and much more she discussed on a meeting she attended in Copenhagen along with representatives from the organization. She arrived in a great mood; the sun was shining and it was about to become a good day. She was kindly welcomed and given a beautiful bouquet of flowers at the arrival before she entered the building to hear more about her work as patron for the organization. During the several hours long meeting she met volunteer and participate in a therapy group for young people with complicated grief. It all happened behind closed doors, in private. When she was about to leaves, she, as usual, gave the time to say hallo to people and greet them before she entered her car and drove back to Amalienborg. Looking at her face and what I have read, she has had a really good day. Humble as she is, I guess that she was very observant and took the time to listen to everybody during the meeting. Later a photo was published on their Facebook page, here, describing what a wonderful day it had been.

Because of the fantastic sunny and warm weather it was when Mary attended the meeting with Children, Youth and Grief in Copenhagen, she had chosen the best outfit: a lovely creamy white lace peplum, printed pink trousers and beige accessories, which by the way perfectly matched her lady-in-waiting. It was with help from Royal outfits of Crown Princess Mary I learned that her new (I assume it's new because I can't recall having seen it before) lace peplum, which I truly love, is from the Danish brand Rosemunde Copenhagen. Really some fabulous details on that blouse! I wouldn't mind wearing it myself. Combined with the pink trousers the blouse looks stunning. I wasn't sure about the blouse, but I know we have seen her wear the trousers more than once -in 2012, here, when she attended the circus along with Prince Christian and Princess Isabella and then in 2013, here, at an official visit to Chile accompanied by her husband. Still I do not know where they are from. They feature the most incredible pattern. Do you happen to know where they are from? If so, then I would love to hear from you about your findings. With earrings from Marianne Dulong and a single diamond band from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen she had chosen a discreet way of accessorizing this outfit. Despite I see the logo of her new Prada bag I haven't been able to find the right model yet. Maybe you can help. A bit more interesting is her shoes. I can't tell if her beige pointed pumps are new I do not recognize them. The style could be Prada but I am not sure, but I would so much like to find out where they are from. This is differently and outfit I would wear at work.
