Copenhagen Fashion Week 2015 has begun and all the best Danish designers participate with each and their new collection. One of them is the talented designer Ole Yde. He presented his latest collection for YDE Copenhagen at Hotel D'Angleterre in Copenhagen known as one of the the most exclusive hotels in Denmark. As the surroundings, exclusive guests were invited to watch the show. Two of them was Crown Princess Mary and her friend actress Ellen Hillingsø. The two women arrived in each others company and also enjoyed the evening together from first raw. The last couple of years we rarely see Mary at these fashion shows which may have something to do with her commitment to social work. I will leave the commenting to someone else. But the fact is that this is the second time this year we get to see her at CFW15. On Wednesday she attended Mark Kenly Domino Tan's fashion show taking place at the royal theatre in Copenhagen.

Unfortunately, not many pictures have been published from Ole Yde's show on Thursday, but I just have to make this update anyway because Mary showed up wearing the best outfit I have seen in a very long time. It's no secret that I admire the Crown Princess both for her work but also her sense of style. As Mary's style keeps inspiring me, fashion in general does too. Think we all have our favourite designers both when it comes to clothes but also accessories. At Thursdays fashion show at D' Angleterre, she wore some of my absolute favourite designers of them all! That stunning new checkered jacket is from YDE Copenhagen -of course she had to wear at least one thing from one of Ole Yde's collections. This is from his Spring/Summer 2015 ‘YDE’ collection. She paired it with black trousers and a black blouse. A super chic combo! She embraced a minimalistic style by wearing a brand silver Georg Jensen necklace as well as a diamond watch from the same designer. She also amazed me with her new shoes. A pair of black leather shoes from Gianvito Rossi. Since I first discovered Rossi's shoes, I've been overwhelmed by his creativity and unique way of expressing style through shoe-design. It is the first time we see her in this model, which by the way is characteristic for Gianvito Rossi, and I absolutely love every part of them. Here I can't hide my excitement! Wish they were on my feet. Last but not least she wore her black Quidam clutch.

Copenhagen Fashion Week 2015

Wednesday, January 28th

Unofficially Crown Princess Mary appeared at Mark Kenly Domino Tan’s fashion show on Wednesday on occasion of the Copenhagen Fashion Week 2015.

Crown Princess Mary had a seat at first raw right next to the runway when she, as a guest of honor, unoffcially attended at Mark Kenly Domino Tan’s fashion show taking place on occasion of CFW 2015 (Copenhagen Fashion Week). Since Mary came to Denmark in 2002, before she was married to the Crown Prince, the press quickly named her the fashion princess, mainly because she appeared at several fashion shows. Years later, in an interview, Mary told that she didn't just wanted to be known for her style. We have to admit that Mary has differently proven to be much more than just a fashion princess (though she indeed is one of the most well-dressed royal women we have). Still, I am glad we see her now and then at some of the many annual fashion shows. Recent years I have missed her but I think the reason might be her commitment to, among others, girls and women's rights and well-being. But now she is back, at least for a while we enjoy her present at Mark Kenly Domino Tan’s fashion show.

Is it just me or have Mary been up to more colourful clothes the last year years? What she wore at the fashion show is an excellent example. Though I know she likes colourful clothes, her choices keeps surprising me -in a good way. It is with help from Kate and Lurdes I learned that the new coat is a Baum und Pferdgarten creation. I am totally in love with everything about this coat! If you take a look at the designers Instagram, here, you will see many commenting on where to buy it. Although that many of you told me that a blogger has been seen wearing the exact same coat as Mary, it is confirmed by the designer that only one coat was made and it is now Mary's, here. Many other similar models are available. All the time she spend at the fashion she, she was wearing the coat therefor I can't tell much about the blouse underneath. To me it seems like a ruffle blouse in either dusty lilic or pink. Does any of you recognize it? She embrace the chic style by wearing black trousers, pointed grey ankle boots from Gianvito Rossi and a pair of flower earrings from Jewlscph -and of course her golden Shamballa Jewels bracelet. That amazing cross-body bag is a Quidam creation and not Mulberry as I first suggested. So, tell me your thoughts about this look. I'm completely in love with it!

Want to get your own post on Style of Mary?

It is no secret that I am a huge fan of Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary. I have been following her the last 10 years of my life. Since her first child Prince Christian was born back in 2005. My ‘obsession’ with her started after I, in a magazine, saw a women who had made a whole wall with pictures of the royal family. I told my mom that I really really wanted to make a wall like this and my mom simply answered: "Then you need start collecting all the pictures you can find in your magazines". That’s what I did and after 10 years I still haven’t made the wall with pictures, but I have 5 or 6 folders with categorized with paper clippings from any kind of magazines. Beside my folders I have one more box with uncategorized papers, about 15 books, some of her clothes and accessories and more important my precious blog!

Now I need your help because I would like to make a series of posts with YOUR Mary obsessions. So, if you have a special way to express your addiction of her, this is your opportunity to share it with me and the rest of my readers. Meeting with the Psychiatry Foundation

Thursday, February 22nd

Crown Princess Mary attended a meeting with the Psychiatry Foundation's CEO Anne Lindhardt, Director Marianne Skjold Larsen and Communication Manager Niels Adler.

The Crown Princess has been patron of the Psychiatry Foundation since 2004. Among others, this was one of the reasons why she attended a meeting with CEO Anne Lindhardt, Director Marianne Skjold Larsen and Communication Manager Niels Adler of the Psychiatry Foundation. The foundation aim to create a society with less people having a mental illness and more people get well and live a good life with the illness they have. The Crown Princess was informed of the Psychiatry Foundation's development and ongoing key projects. During her visit she was also given the chance to meet some of the children who have parents with a mental illness.

Not many pictures have been published, but it was an incredible smiling Crown Princess who attended the meeting. She looked terrific in a dark gray turtleneck blouse featuring long sleeves. Perfectly to the cold Danish weather we have right now. She also wore, what I believe is a new grey skirt but it is hard for me to tell you more about it, because of the lack of pictures. When arriving Mary was wearing a really amazing grey coat from Massimo Dutti. It was identified by Lurdes. The length of the skirt made it possible for us to see the long Prada boots in suede. On her right arm she had the golden Shamballa Jewels bracelet and on the other hand, as usual, her wedding- and engagement ring. Her earrings have been a mystery to me since the first time we saw them. They feature a little floral pendant and is in two different colours -pink and blue. I have had Queen Margrethe in mind all the time. That she inherited the earrings from her mother-in-law wasn't unlikely at all. And ti wasn't. These once belonged to the Queen and now Mary is giving them a new life, here. It may be a little hard to tell from this picture but I have a few close-ups saved on my computer for those of you who would like to get a closer look.

2nd New Year reception at Christiansborg

Wednesday, January 7th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the 2nd New Year reception for the Danish Defence and Emergency Management from first, second and third rank such as national organizations and royal patronage, taking place at Christiansborg. The reception was hosted by Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik.

Tomorrowscrownedheads.blogspot.dk

The second and last New Year reception. I've really enjoyed the last couple of days in company with the royal family. A shame we have to wait for a year for it to happen again. But then we have something to look forward to. The second reception also took place at Christiansborg. Guests from the Danish Defence and Emergency Management from first, second and third rank such as national organizations and royal patronage were invited by the Queen and her husband. The Crown Prince couple arrived shortly before the Queen and Prince Henrik who, by the way, arrived by golden carriage as they always do. As the day before all attending guests were welcomed by the four members of the royal family. Each and every one. Maybe the part the royals hate the most about these receptions.

… And then she is back! At the second reception Mary arrived in a outfit we have seen before, down to the last detail -almost. One little thing had changed. A brown belt had been added on the jacket to show of her small waist and made the skirt look even more gorgeous. If the alteration was a good or bad idea I can't say for sure.  In a way I like the idea to add a belt but maybe it’s not the best material to a velvet jacket? Now, on to the dreamy pink tulle skirt. This is what we imagine a real princess is wearing when we are kids and some of us also when we are a bit older. Unfortunately today's princesse's do not have the opportunity to wear such tulle skirt's very often anymore. When we talk about it, you properly also want to know who have made it. Well, she has worn the skirt with a pink lace blouse at a previous dinner where it was identified as Jayson Brunsdon, here. Mary is a perfectionist and everything must fit together, so of course jewellery and clutch is in the same colour as the jacket and skirt. You've probably already recognized the clutch comes from. It is her dusty pink clutch from Bottega Veneta.I was pretty sure she was wearing her powder pink Gianvito Rossi pumps but I was not right. With some help from Heaven I learned that Mary is in fact wearing a pair of suede Pura Lopez pumps featuring a lovely bow. Differently the first time we see them. And then with a simple bun and stunning makeup she impressed me once again.

1st New Year reception at Christiansborg

Tuesday, January 6th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a New Year reception at Christiansborg with Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik as hosts. The diplomatic corps were invited to the reception.

New Year is all about celebrating the past, present and what is coming. As tradition Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik hosts a few New Year receptions for, first the diplomatic corps and tomorrow the Danish defence and Emergency Management. Around noon the Crown Prince couple arrived at Christiansborg Palace, just before the Queen and her husband. You might know that Christiansborg is also the Danish Parliament. The reception took place in the Knight Hall with the magnificent checkered floors and colourful tapestries on the walls telling the story of Denmark. When all four royal members had arrived, it was time for them to welcome each any every one of the special invited guests with a handshake. While the Crown Prince couple were standing, the Queen and Prince Henrik had each their chair to sit on during the welcoming ceremony. Well, they are that young anymore. All of them seemed to be in a good mood; ready for a wonderful reception with good wine and food.

The past several years Mary has worn the same reused the gown at this reception, so I expected the same thing would happen this year. But no. When you least expect it, Mary surprise us. At the New Year reception she was dressed in the most amazing new midnight blue gown featuring a silver rhinestone collar and hemline! The gown is floor-length with three quarter length sleeves and a slit at the front of the skirt it was possible to see that she was wearing a pair of navy blue Pura Lopez pumps. According Billed-Bladet the gown is from Prada. I haven't been able to confirm that. Still it is a possibility though I doubt it.  To match the colour of the gown she had chosen her blue leather clutch form Quidam. As rules prescribe the Order of Elephant must worn with a blue ribbon from the left to right. The colour of the ribbon and the earrings had the same beautiful blue color. The big star on the left side of her upper body comes with the Order of Elephant. The white gloves made the outfit was even more glamorous! I'm simply blown away by her beauty. So, if you have not seen the pictures from the reception; the hurry up! I promise, you will not be disappointed.

New Year Banquet at Amalienborg

Thursday, January 1st

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the traditional New Year's banquet on January 1st with Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik as hosts. The banquet took place at Amalienborg.

Bt.dk

For me there is always great excitement associated with the arrival of the royals for the biggest evening of them all: the New Year's eve banquet. As usually Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik hosted the overwhelmingly gala dinner at Amalienborg. Members of the Danish Parliament attended and arrived before the royal family members. The parliament members arrived one by one on the red carpet before they entered the grand castle to wait for the royal guests to arrive. At this evening several national and international photographers and journalists are gathered to get all the best pictures and interviews with the guests. Also many Danish people had found their way to the castle to get a glimpse of the many guests. With camera lights everywhere, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie arrived first, followed by the Crown Prince couple and last but not least the hosts - Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik. The arrival is almost iconic. When I think about I am not sure why, maybe I'm just the only one with that thought. Think it is because of all the pretty dressed and shiny jewellery as well as the fact that we are celebrating a new year to come. But I just have to watch the arrival, especially when the Crown Prince couple show up (of course). Do you have such traditions too on January 1st?

As mentioned above I believe the dresses is one of the reasons why this is the biggest evenings of them all. I’m looking forward to see what they are wearing. The men are wearing a traditional uniform and the women have a little more ‘freedom’ to choose what they want to wear though it has to be a floor-length gown. This is also where all the valuable jewellery, such as tiaras, must be shown. Mary had chosen the beautiful ruby parure from Queen Ingrid as she has been given by Frederik who inherited it from his grandmother. On her head she wore the tiara which showed the best of her wonderful hairstyle

Now, lets talk about what we all have been waiting for, the dress! I was sure we would see her wear the burgundy dress Birgit Hallstein as previously. Over the years there has been several changes that makes it possible for her to wear in new ways over and over again. But as a big surprise for me and many of you, she arrived in a brand new white floor-length gown. The gown has three-quarter length sleeves and a slightly different detail consisting of a piece of cloth attached to the belt at the waist that covers the left side, across the body. Though Mary did not wear the burgundy gown, this is made by the same tailor, Birtgit Hallstein. Over her shoulders she wore a dark velvet cape. Simplicity wins! As accessories she wore a satin clutch from Prada (I’m pretty sure it's purple) and a pair of golden pointed pumps from Manolo Blahnik. No doubt that Mary looks incredibly stunning in her new ivory/golden evening gown. I hope we get to see it one day without the cape, though I think it makes her look very royal.

On the occasion of the New Year's eve I have made a post on Royalist, showing what she has been wearing previously at this major and fantastic evening, here.
