Day 2. The 66th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe

Tuesday, September 13th

Crown Princess Mary attended a reception in the Opera House on occasion of The 66th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe in Copenhagen from September 12-13th. The Crown Princess was attending as patron of the WHO Regional Office for Europe.

Representatives from 53 different countries around the world have been gathered in Copenhagen to participate in The 66th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe meeting. Crown Princess Mary has, as patron of WHO Regional Office for Europe, also been present on September 12th among others she was the one to officially open the conference with a speech. A proper way to end two great days with lots on the agenda, everybody were invited to a reception taking place in the Opera located at Holmens channel. On the other side of the channel we have Amalienborg castle where the Crown Prince couple and their four children live in Frederik VIII's palace, right next to the Queen and her husband -something you already know. The location of the two gave Mary an opportunity to arrive by boat. As anywhere else Mary goes, she caught everybody's attention on each side of the channel. Glamorously she both entered and got off the boat again. No doubt that it was a great evening. Leaving later in the evening Mary captured the atmosphere from the Opera house in the photo you see below. Just love that we get these photos taken by and of the royal family members!

I truly understand why she caught so much attention, not only because she is Mary (Crown Princess of Denmark) but because of what she was wearing. Something I wish I lived near by to get a glimpse of her. Unfortunately I don't. Back to her insane incredible outfit! Not to boast but the first time she wore this beauty of a dress I was actually able to identify it, although she had never worn anything (I know of) from Zimmermann. Had the impression that it was adored by almost everyone. The dress still amazes me! Love how it moves when she walks. Think she was wearing the same thin belt as the first time, a thing I haven't been able to ID but I do not believe the dress comes with a belt. Dressed up with a pair of powder pink Gianvito Rossi pointed pumps and a few other jewellery from among others Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen I find her look very nice. Great how she manages to wear something like snake print this classy. She knows hot to make it look chic and elegant without looking over dressed at all. Lovely detail with the blue pendant in the earrings. Would really like to hear what you have to say about this one; go or no go? Because I think it's either an outfit you really like or just dislike. As always, I'm a fan!

  1. Hi:

From the very first time the crown princess wore this dress I have liked it! It has a romantic vibe because of the sheer silk and its flowy nature allows lots of movement. One could not have scripted a better and more fitting entrance, than arriving by boat which to me added to the romantic vibe. I think the addition of the belt is a plus--it cinches the waist nicely. If the crown princess had worn a flower in her hair, it would not have been a surprise as this outfit seem to scream--flower in the hair, please!

At first, I thought this was a midi dress, but I think it is more maxi than midi and with high heels it does give it that midi feel--sort of. The crown princess wore baby blue satiny shoes the previous occasion and the first time we saw her in this dress which I prefer; however, pink looks good too.

Henriette, you called it. This was definitely a winner!

    1. Romantic vibe, differently! Missing a flower in her hair, differently! -a flower pin would differently do. Something to match the powder pink pumps would also be great, so maybe some kind of powder pink hair pin shaped as a flower? ;) As you, I can't get enough of this dress. Fabric, colour, print, shape, length... everything makes this dress look incredible stylish. Doubt it's the last time we get to see her wear it.

... and just to correct you; she wore silver glitter pumps from Gianvito Rossi the first time :) I think both do great.
