Day 3: International Conference on Population and Development, New York

Tuesday, September 29th

This was the last day Crown Princess Mary attended meetings and other activities in New York in addition to the International Conference on Population and Development. Crown Princess Mary has been present since September 27th.

  • 9:10 am. Crown Princess Mary attended the Women Deliver: The Road to Copenhagen 2016 a meeting organized by Women Deliver, UNWomen and the Danish UN Mission.

September 29th was her finial day in New York after a three-day visit and participation the in the International Conference on Population and Development different activities. The third day Mary attended Women Delivers: The Road to Copenhagen 2016 together with Executive directors of UN Women and Women Deliver, Kristian Jensen the Danish foreign minister, ministers for gender equality as well as young people from around the world to discuss who investment in girls' and women's health, rights and well-being which will create prosperity worldwide. You might know that next year the Women Deliver Conference take place in May in Denmark. Mary was selected the patron of this conference to make the best experience to all the participates.

During the one and a half hour meeting with Women Deliver talking about next years conference and what's it's all about: fighting to help girls and women to a better life. Everyone participating were in a extremely great mood as well was the Crown Princess. In her speech she also mentioned how much she look forward to 2016 and to be able to host Women Deliver Conference in Denmark. Everyone was enthusiastic about the project. Because of the fifth goal of the UN 17th world goals about gender equality was brought up at the meeting all the participant members were ready to take the chance to fight for the rights of girls and women.

In her blue Signe Bøgelund-Jensen dress featuring a wonderful pattern, in my eyes Mary was dressed properly to spend the last day in New York speaking on behalf of those who aren't able to. The dress itself has a perfect sophisticated look and accessorized with electric blue Gianvito Rossi pumps worn last year when she visited Home on occasion of the Child Welfare Day (Børnehjælpsdagen) which Mary is patron of. No surprise she once again wore the golden Orit Elhanati necklace and her two pretty new Marianne Dulong bracelets. The earrings we already know are form Pomellato. She rocked my world and with this outfit she was ready to rock the rest of the world.
