Crown Princess Mary attended, as patron, Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2016 the world's largest event on sustainable fashion which took place at DR Concert House.

Copenhagen Fashion Summit
With over 1,200 participants is Copenhagen Fashion Summit the largest event on sustainable fashion in the world. The summit has been held in 2009, 2012 and 2014 and is a nonprofit event organized by Danish Fashion Institute on behalf of Nordic Fashion Association. You find more information on the summit here

It is now two years since Copenhagen Fashion Summit was held the last time. This year the theme was responsible innovation and features Mary as patron and one of the keynote speaker who opened the 4th edition of the summit with her speech in English. In her speech she, among others, talked about the importance of a sustainable fashion industry for the economic, environment and socially.  She arrived to DR Concert House at Amager, Copenhagen, in the morning to attend the official opening of Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2016 which is the world's largest event on sustainable fashion gathering representatives from all over the world in Denmark -journalists, CEO's and politicians etc. Over 1200 people take part in the summit this year. She was welcomed by Roberta at 4 who was that one lucky girl getting the chance to hand over a beautiful bouquet of flowers to the Crown Princess. Both in 2009, 2012 and 2014 has Mary attended the summit as representative for Denmark. She listed to several speakers and panel debates during her visit. Many of the attendances had enjoyed a dinner with the Crown Prince Couple the day before when the couple hosted a dinner on occasion of the Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2016 at Frederik VIII's Palace, Amalienborg.

Fashion with a purpose is what all this is about. The fashion industry is huge worldwide. Millions and millions are each year spend on the fashion industry, so why not be aware of the responsibility we all have. Sustainable fashion and in general sustainable solutions is a way to go. Sustainability is good for all of us. Fashion is about creativity, innovative solutions, having fun, with no words expressing who you are. By choosing the sustainable choices to me you show that you actually care about others, not just yourself. Maybe today it's expected for a royal woman like Mary to represent sustainability but still I admire her for taking action on something so important.

Before it gets to serious; we should talk about the outfit Mary wore at the conference. Because what to wear at a conference on sustainability? -well of course something from Hennez & Maurtiz's  Conscious Exclusive/Premium Quality collection! A new lovely off-white lace skirt. I do not know how was the one to identify the skirt first, but I'm glad they did. I am pretty sure this is not the last time we are going to see her wear it. I imagine it with maybe navy blue, powder pink or burgundy would do great along with this new skirt. As the skirt, has Kate found her new blouse at the same designer. What you can't see is that it's actually a long blouse, more like a tunic. To keep i feminine and classy she added Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings and a diamond bracelet to the outfit such as her latte beige clutch from Naledi Copenhagen and pumps from Prada -worn at several occasion with trousers and skirts. I love how she manage to look this dazzling with nothing else than a simply ponytail and natural makeup focusing on her eyes. One more stunning outfit to add to the list of smashing Mary outfits!
