Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2016 - Dinner

Wednesday, May 11th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary hosted a dinner for representatives of sustainable fashion on occasion of Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2016. The dinner took place at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg Castle.

Copenhagen Fashion Summit
With over 1,200 participants is Copenhagen Fashion Summit the largest event on sustainable fashion in the world. The summit has been held in 2009, 2012 and 2014 and is a nonprofit event organized by Danish Fashion Institute on behalf of Nordic Fashion Association. You find more information on the summit here

Around the same time as two year ago, it was now time for the royal couple to host a dinner for representatives of sustainable fashion on occasion of the annual Copenhagen Fashion Summit, Mary will attend the following day. It was around dinner time, with the evening sun covering them, welcomed Frederik and Mary their guests in the rooms of their own home at Frederik VIII's Palace, Amalienborg, which was decorated with beautiful pink flowers. All the guest which were invited to attend the dinner are somehow players in the question of sustainable fashion. The guests arrived one by one to Amalienborg ready to enjoy a dinner with the Crown Prince couple. Among others attended Honduras' Presidential couple, H.E. Juan Orlando Hernández Alvarado and his wife Mrs. Ana Garcia de Hernandez, model and actress Amber Valletta, the French Ambassador H.E. François Zimeray such as Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen and CEO of Danish Fashion Institute Eva Kruse who has met with Mary at several occasions. Eva Kruse also attended the dinner in 2014 with politician Margrethe Vestager.

Like the evening sun, Mary looked dazzling in her new navy jacquard dress featuring an asymmetric skirt!! This signature evening dress is from the Swedish brand Hennez & Mauritz, or just H&M, from their sustainable Conscious Exclusive 2014. The collection is made of sustainable and organic material with Amber Valletta as model, who was on the guest list. A 50s inspired dress you can't anything but love and Mary is not the only royal woman who have fallen in love with it because both Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway have been seen wearing it. All three women wore it beautifully, each their way. Mary was so gracious and absolutely stunning in her dress. Because of her hight, it looks good on her that it's asymmetric. Is it something you like? In a way I'm not surprised to see that she was wearing her yellow suede Gianvito Rossi pumps at yesterday's dinner and it just looks great. The pointed pumps and the new dress is really a lovely match. My eyes also stumbled across the beautifully done hairstyle, one I adore. She embraced the style and wore jewellery from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Especially the earrings is worth taking a look at; differently new and I believe they are from their new Magic Circus collection featuring a little star. My guess is that they are custom made to match Mary's personal wishes. What can I say other than: adorable!
