Annual Meeting with the Mary Foundation

Wednesday, May 4th

Crown Princess Mary hosted the annual meeting with the Mary Foundation's presidium at Frederik VIII's Palace, Amalienborg in Copenhagen.

Every year Mary hosts a meeting with the Mary Foundation's presidium which often takes place in her own home at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg. This year was no excuse. Results in 2015 and future plans were on the agenda at the annual meeting. Including the Crown Princess herself, twenty people were gathered to discuss what everybody had in mind. All participants listened with great interest when CEO of the Mary Foundation Helle Østergaard told about last years amazing results for among others the Free of Bullying program which is developed to prevent bullying in daycare and pre-school age. To hear that this program is used by every other kindergarten and every third school in Denmark, I imagine amazed all of them who were sitting around the table. The meeting was also about future plans which caused lots of comments and of course questions also from Mary as the chairwomen of the foundation. She was the one to present the foundation's future plans, at the same time she thanked them all for supporting the Mary Foundations work. Around the same time the meeting took place, the Foundation published an annual report on their website with results, works and lots of photos from the past year.

What better way than showing of your bright red Hugo Boss (BOSS Black) dress at meeting? That is exactly what Mary did when she hosted the annual meeting with the Mary Foundation. No one else shone as much as she did, she completely rocked that red dress! If features 3/4 sleeves, pleating around the neck and that sophisticated knee-length which suits her so well. I think I remember we have seen her wear the same dress some years ago with a beige patent belt, this time she wore her Boss dress with a red belt perfectly matching the colour. Like the classy lady she is, Mary accessorized her look with Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings featuring the most lovely golden pearl pendant, a delicate diamond bracelet and rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Really beautiful. But honestly I love when she's wearing something new (just as much as when she reuses one of her old goodies!!) and at the meeting Mary wore a new pair of t-strap pumps which took me quite a while to identify but after all I found them at Sergio Rossi with some help from Heaven I can now show you a link to the right model and right colour. What would I do without your help? Can't wait to see her wear them again and get a better look at them!

  1. By the way, in the corporate world the color red denotes "power". It is therefore not a stretch to say this was a power meeting with all the main players in the Mary Foundation. It was apropos of the crown princess to wear red and in the photo one could not mistake what kind of image the crown princess wanted to portray- one of a very confident lady at the top of her game.

    1. Well spoken as usual RW! Red is differently a 'strong' colour, with a strong and powerful symbolism whether it's good or bad. In that red dress Mary lightened up the room, that was filled with important players for Mary and her foundation. She was really at the top of her game in her red dress!
