Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary during their last day in Australia

So this was the last day the couple was in Australia. Their last day was to me as amazing as all the other four. But we still have one day left to talk about and I think it has to be one of the best of course because of the award show in the evening. It was a special show and unique it took place abroad Denmark. Before we can talk about the award show I think we should take a look at how they send their last day. In the morning Frederik and Mary attended the presentation of the Export Association diploma and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik's Medal of Honour. It was the Crown Prince who handed over the medallion to General Manager at ECCO Shoes Pacific Pty, Morten Lauge. With the Crown Prince couple and the politician Marianne Jelved a picture was taken which you see above. Around 45 minutes after the presentation they were headed to attend  a business lunch hosted by Danish Industry (Dansk Industri) which took place in the Sydney Opera House. What a place to have lunch, right? I wouldn't mind trying that. Well, maybe one day.

You know I love to talk about Mary's outfits, she is always a source of inspiration to me which I think she is to you as well. It is not easy for me to describe why I like her style so much but I think it's because of her confidence, the sense of quality of her clothes and how she always 'plays' with her style. Sometimes it's classic and sometimes it's more minimalistic and edgy. No doubt that the day before yesterdays outfit was the perfect business-look. Simple and elegant in a brand new WILLOW dress identified by by Sarah. Thank you so much for your help with the dress! I just found out that Mary actually bought this dress at a shopping trip the same day in a WILLOW store in Sydney. And why wait? I love that she wears her newly purchased jacquard stretch dress. Styled with Marianne Dulong jewellery and Christian Louboutin pumps she could wear this any time, at any event. I wonder if the curry cardigan is the same as she wore last year at the gathering at Gråsten Castle? Worn with the colourful Free People maxi dress. And of course she wore her Carlend Copenhagen clutch matching the cardigan beautifully!

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary: The Crown Prince Couple’s Prizes 2013

Finally the time has arrived when Frederik and Mary attended The Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2013! Something I have been looking forward to since the last one, last year.  The Crown Princes Couple's Prizes was established in 2004 as a wedding gift to Frederik and Mary and was first presented in 2005. This was a gift from the Bikuben Foundation (Bikubenfonden). Until 2009 the award had another name: The Crown Prince Couple's Cultur Prize and then it was changed to the current name. At the same time, in 2009, the numbers of prizes was expanded from one to four, three different categories. The award show is always broadcasted live on the Australian TV station SBS 1 and the Danish DR1, which means both nationalities had the chance to watch the show -I did. But 2013 isn't just a normal year because this year it's the first time the show take place abroad Denmark. The award show is a window into a world of art, music and artistic work. Creative artists from a wide range of work. The purpose of the Royal Couple Pricing is to highlight and recognize the extraordinary
performance in the Danish culture and social work. During the evening over DKK 1,1 million were handed over to new talents on the stage in front of 1,000 evening-dressed guests. Four prizes were were presented by the royal couple on the stage. You see them all down below. I don't know if you watched the show last night but I was overwhelmed by the entertainment as well as the presentations, and the winners speeches. Such a wonderful show. One little funny thing to mention what happened during the evening: Mary was about the give her speech to one of the winners in English of course when she switched to Danish. Like everybody else Mary just laughed at switched to English again. This was a brilliant moment from the evening, watch it if you can find it.

I think I am in love with her look from the award show! I was so happy to see her in that stunning Ole Yde gown again. Makes me happy just to look at it. Frederik was looking very handsome in his classic black and white suit wearing a black bow tie. The perfect evening dress coat for a man and with Mary next to him, they balanced beautifully. Mary was so feminine in the layered dress featuring only one shoulder. I'm sure you remember this isn't the first time we have seen it because back in 2009, five years ago, when Frederik and Mary visited Vietnam accompanied by Queen Margrehte and Prince Henrik she wore her Ole Yde creation for the first time at a return dinner. At that time she wore it with a black sequin clutch, a side chignon done by the Queens hairdresser and white pearl earrings. The only thing similar was the clutch and the black Prada pumps. At this years award show Mary wore the gorgeous Ole Lynggaard earrings as well as other jewelry's from the same designer, here I need to mention that her new black bracelet was identified by What Crown Princess Mary Wore and Pernille. Thanks to both of you! Her hair was done beautifully in a low chignon with a twist on top. There are so many wonderful details to look at. She is like a real princess!

Well, this was the last event on the last day. Frederik and Mary have spend five days in Australia which we have followed closely. I really enjoyed the visit. They have experienced everything from gala events, business dinners, exhibitions and destroyed houses. Hope I was able to give you the best and most interesting news from the trip. Take care and have fun till next time!
