Crown Princess Mary visiting Qatar Academy & Qatar Foundation

A busy week was most over but the couple had one more day left in Qatar before leaving for Denmark. I bet their children have missed their parents and look forward to get them home again. Mary's day started way earlier than the day before. Her last day in Qatar was used to visit Qatar Academy as the guest of honor which is five schools in one place. It was true pleasure when she arrived to the local school, as happy she was to met some of the schools pupils, as thrilled were they to met the future Queen of Denmark. The children proudly shared drawings with Mary where one of them imagined the Crown Princess wearing a pretty white dress and crown on her head. Usually Mary is not wearing crowns with dolphins but one of the children had made a special silver crown to Mary, which she immediately tried on. She also tried on the beautiful flower wreath, with red and white flowers, she was given. A wonderful moment that gave a smile all over her face. Within that half an hour Mary visited the local school she also practiced reading on the floor. A down on earth Crown Princess with lots of time to talk to the pupils as well as their teachers. While Frederik visited the port area Ras Laffan were he also visited Oryx GTL factory (Gas to Liquid) Mary visited the Qatar Foundation where you met with her Highness Sheikha Mozah Al Missned which whom she had a really good conversation with during the visit. On her way to meet Frederik she gave an interview to Billed Bladet where she told how great an experience it had been to visit the two countries and see how well all the Danish companies are doing in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. That it had been an educational trip with many new impressions.

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary meeting with Emir of Qatar

One last thing before the couple could take the 9 hours long flight back home; a meeting with the Emir of Qatar, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani. He was the one to welcome the couple, kindly he asked Frederik how their trip had been. He reply it had been quite a busy week but good. The Emir of Qatar shook hands with Mary who took his hand and greeted him back. Then they all had some time to talk about this and that, probably more about what the couple experiences during their five days in both Saudi Arabia and now Qatar. This was the final event they attended before return journey to Denmark. I think it has been a really nice trip and I think Frederik and Mary enjoyed the time visiting a new culture. They are both curious to visit new places in the world which is why I believe especially this has been a one in a lifetime experiences. I had the thoughts not to write about the trip because it already has generated so much negative attention before they had left Denmark and I was afraid it might generate criticism on the blog as well. But I have heard nothing and it shows me you understand what situation they were in. Thank you for making it possible to write about the trip so it gets treated like every other official state visit, which was what I wanted.

Before I start talking about clothes worn on the last day in Qatar, I want to congratulate Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel with their newborn little prince! What a precious gift. He has already been named: Prince Oscar Carl Olof. Hip hip hurra! Mary expressed her joy when she heard about the birth and told they already had congratulated the couple.

It ended as it started; with black trousers. I read somewhere that she was wearing a black jumpsuit, but that I doubt. She almost never wear jumpsuits and I see two types of fabrics. I have no idea where any of these two piece are from, actually I really had so much trouble finding anything new she wore during this trip. My guess is that the black trousers is the same as she has worn the first days in Saudi Arabia and that the blouse could be new. I wonder if that scarf is a part of the blouse? Do you see what I mean? One of the things we see Mary wear pretty often is these long coats which she also wore on her last visits. A long white coat featuring black details, seen plenty of times before at all kinds of occasions. In the beginning I think it featured a collar. I'm sure you remember it. Another items worn at countless events is the white pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry (Marianne Dulong). So if you need just one pair of essential earrings; a pair of white pearl earrings are what you are looking for. One great accessory for day and night. Then she accessorized her outfit with a diamond bracelet and once again her Georg Jensen bracelet worn almost every day the last week, such as the black Carlend Copenhagen clutch. The large pearl ring is from Dulong Fine Jewelry as the earrings. Four accessories we know all about. What I see, she's wearing the bicolor Prada pumps with a black heel and burgundy toe. Her makeup was naturally as always. Really beautiful with the pale pink lipgloss. A really nice last-day-outfit.

Tip: DR has made a program about the couple's trip to Saudi Arabia and Qatar. You will find the broadcast here. There are many good footage from the trip which is differently worth watching.
