Glostrup's 825-year city anniversary

Saturday, August 27th

Crown Princess Mary attended Glostrup's 825-year city anniversary in Glostrup Hall.

What better way than celebrating a 825th anniversary than inviting the future Queen of Denmark. That is exactly what Glostrup municipality did; they invited Crown Princess Mary to attend their city anniversary. And 825 years are quite a lot and absolutely something to celebrate. A very special day;  perfect for special invited guests.

The Crown Princess was all smiles when she arrived to Glostrup and was welcomed by lots of happy people, who all wanted a glimpse of the Crown Princess. Also when she entered the stage to give her speech it was clear that she caught everyones attention. To me it seemed like she was in a extraordinary good mood at the celebration. The celebration also included gymnastic performances that clearly impressed her. No doubt that everybody was enjoying themselves celebration a 825th anniversary. So many wonderful pictures were taken at the event that I couldn't help myself from making two galleries this time.

I still do not know where her new lace skirt and jacket are from, but I am completely blown away by the suit. The second I first saw pictures of her I fell in love with it. I hardly believe I am the only one who drools right now. Everything looks just splendid. Just look at the details. Trying to identify her new lace pieces I searched at designers like Tory Burch and Isabel Marant without a single similar design. Any ideas?

Making her outfit even more dazzling, she wore nude accessories - a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps, a Prada clutch and that long lost hairpiece. You remember it? It goes back to 2005 when she was pregnant with her first child, here. Then we saw it again in 2010 when the royal family hosted a state visit from Russia, here. I was so sure she has worn it in between, but couldn't find info anywhere - Royal Hats Blog knew and share this with me, here. I recognized the creamy hairpiece right away. I also wondered if it could be made milliner by Susanne Juul. Then finally we get to see it again along with a wonderful updo. Left we only have to talk about what kind of jewellery she had chosen. Some quite interesting pieces actually. Frist, diamond earrings likely from Hartmann's, a couple of Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelets, two Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond rings, her Cartier bracelet and what I think could be a Charlotte Wæhrens bracelet. Looks like it with a little silver piece added, here.

'Marco Grob - Iconic Portraits'

Thursday, August 25th

Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of the exhibition 'Marco Grob - Iconic Portraits', here, at Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Castle.

It is a little unusual for her to attend two exhibitions this close to each other. It was just two days ago she was present at the official opening of Scandinavia's biggest Monet exhibition entitled 'Monet. Beyond Impression', here. Both journalists and participants were thrilled about her attending the exhibition.

My excitement was overwhelming when I found out that two new photographs had been published of the Crown Prince couple on exhibition. Have to admit that I had never heard of the photographer before but the photographies are truly remarkable, here. He understand working with his talent. Apparently the photos were taken back in April at Amalienborg palace and it took about one and a half hour to get these exact photos with the right atmosphere. According to the Crown Princess herself the whole process didn't take that long. Now the couple is exhibited at Frederiksborg castle. Hanging next to portraits of many other prominent people. The Crown Princess was in a great mood when arriving to Frederiksborg castle attending the opening of Marco Grob's exhibition. I think it was a very honored and proud photographer who showed his photographies to the Crown Princess.  Although I am impressed by his way of using light, I am also wondering. A good thing when you're looking at art. The photo of Crown Princess Mary is kinda unusual from what we use to see. I will let you decide what to like about it. The beautiful golden dress she is wearing is a Jesper Høvring design, here. I really hope it's a dress we'll see again one day. Maybe for New Years eve?

Impressing as the mysterious light in the photo, I was impressed to see her wear an old Dolce & Gabbana dress featuring a dazzling floral print. Sure you remember having seen her in it before. Marvelous dress. I love how she styled it with a nude Naledi Copenhagen clutch and a pair of patent Christian Louboutin pumps. Makes a great match to the black and red dress. Both dress and accessories gives one the opportunity to study every single detail. I can't hide my excitement about this outfit. So elegant without looking overdressed at all. Something Mary always manages. Even her dark eye makeup and berry lips matched perfectly with the rest of the outfit. Simply outstanding. Looking closely trying to find out what kind of jewellery she was wearing I think I noticed that she is also wearing a light purple nail polish. Back to the jewellery. We have designers as Dulong Fine JewelryCartier and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

'Quantum Black Holes' by Stephen Hawking

Wednesday, August 24th

Crown Princess Mary attended the lecture 'Quantum Black Holes', here, by Stephen W. Hawking which took place in DR Concert Hall, Copenhagen.

The event entitled 'Carlsberg foundation distinguished lecture' was arranged in collaboration with the Carlsberg Foundation, DR Concert Hall, Niels Bohr International Academy and the Royal Danish Academy of Science. Along with 1800 participants the Danish Crown Princess was among the audience when famous scientist Stephen W. Hawking gave a lecture in DR Concert Hall. The lecture was transmitted live in 27 cinemas because of massive interest for the scientists lecture on the universe and black holes. After the lecture it was a truly impressed Crown Princess Mary who got to meet Mr Hawking, which I believe was a great honor to both of them. She was accompanied by Carlsberg Foundation Chairman, Flemming Besenbacher while meeting Mr Hawking.

Well. This pink and grey combination of clothes is maybe not the most impressive we have seen Mary wear in a long time. Usually I see much good in her outfits, but this one makes it a hard time for me. Maybe it is the cardigan? I can not tell for sure why this look makes me feel misspleased.Would love to have seen the new bobble gum dress without the cardigan. Maybe we will one day. I would really like to hear your opinion on this one. Though the combo is not my favourite, I still fancy each piece separately - the new pleated dress, the rose quartz jewellery from Dulong Fine Jewelry and the stunning patent pumps from Gianvito Rossi. One of you even suggested a possible designer for her new dress. It was suggested to be ASOS. That would be the first time, but I see great similarities with the two dresses. Take a look and tell me what you think. Unfortunately the dress is already out of stock.

Seems like Mary loves wearing lots of bracelets these days. Something you could easily do too. It is a great way to make your outfit a bit more personal. By adding several bracelets makes it more casual. Lookning at those Mary are wearing I am only able to identify few of them. One from Dulong Fine Jewelry and one from Cartier. Then she embraced the style with two diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and another one of her favourite larger diamond rings. I am also sure noticed the suede Hugo Boss clutch. With a curly hairstyle, berry lips and a darker eye makeup makes me think this is a strange combo of day and night. Although, Mary makes it work,

'Monet. Beyond Impressionism'

Tuesday, August 23th

Crown Princess Mary attended the opening event for the exhibition 'Monet. Beyond Impressionismen', here, in Charlottenlund.

Ordrupgaard. Sure you have heard about it before if you have been following the blog for more than a year, because it's not the first time the Crown Princess has attended an opening of one of their incredible art exhibitions. This time she was present at Ordupsgaard in Charlottenlund to officially open Scandinavia's biggest Monet exhibition called 'Monet. Beyond Impression'. She got to see the exhibition for herself before the public. Both clearly overwhelmed and impressed by what she saw the Crown Princess took time to take a closer look at some of the incredible Monet paintings exhibited at Ordupsgaard. It is no secret that she loves art, especially colourful art. As you might know are almost every room at Frederik's VIIIs palace decorated with colourful and artistic paintings created by several famous artists. This was a personal wish from the Crown Prince couple. They are both art lovers. No doubt that this was a great experience for her. By cutting the red ribbon she officially opened the Monet exhibition in Charlottenlund.

This is  what 'perfect' means: matching your surroundings. I hardly believe that it is four years since we have seen her in that greenish Prada dress and white lace coat. Unbelievably. It was back in 2012 at an official visit to Brazil she wore the exact combination for the first time, here. Great to see how beautifully you can wear an entire outfit again by adding only a few new accessories. The last four years I was sure the magnificent white lace coat was a Miu Miu design. All because one of their collections features a similar creation. That turned out to be completely wrong. By confirmation from YDE Copenhagen, Heaven shared her findings with me about the coat, here. A unique design by one of the most talented Danish designers.

She had styled her sophisticated and elegant look with both a Prada clutch and matching beige pumps, Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelets (such as several other unidentified bracelets) and large golden Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings. Worth noticing is her curly hair. It looks way longer than I remembered. Maybe it is because I haven't seen her for a couple of weeks. Also the fact that I had a rather radical haircut myself. So I am not use to long hair. But it looks splendid. Hopefully it means we get to see some outstanding updo's from now on.
