Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary during the first day in Copenhagen and Helsingør

Finally the time is here and the Mexican Presidential couple has now arrived to Denmark, actually they arrived yesterday at Copenhagen airport around dinner time, in one of the worlds most expensive plains. With music, Mexico's President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera were warmly welcomed by Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik and the rest of the Danish royal family -the Crown Prince couple, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte. Shortly after the welcoming ceremony and all had shaken hands, two crown cars drove to Fredensborg Palace -one with Queen Margrethe and President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and another car with Prince Henrik and Mrs Angélica Rivera, to officially welcome the couple. Like the welcoming ceremony at the airport, this has become a tradition. While the Presidential couple are in Denmark they are staying at Fredensborg Palace in one of the many rooms. In the meantime, Frederik and Mary drove to Kronborg castle in Helsingør and about an hour or so later, President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera arrived to Helsingør. All in a perfect mood the two couples were given a guided tour inside Kronborg to see among others the Banquet Hall, also called the Dancing Hall. Then a little something to drink and of to the M/S Museum of Maritime located close to the water just like the caste. Back in 2013 Frederik and Mary visited Mexico and have already met the Presidential couple once before. Both couples seemed to have had a really good day in each others company.

It was at 1:00 pm. local time the Mexican Presidential couple arrived to Copenhagen airport ready to spend two days in Denmark accompanied by the Danish royal family. In second raw was Mary standing, lightning up like a true royal lady in her ombre Missoni coat! Thrilled to see her wear it already again, I'm sure you remember it from their visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar only a few months ago. Finally I have to say, we saw it without any black trousers. This outfit, she wore at the airport is what I think is a modern princess: a simple, A-line coat and a pair of plane pumps. Always a winner and it works day and night. Because Mary likes to play with her clothes and style, she of course chooses a coat with a stylish colour and pattern. According to Royals & Fashion are Mary's sky high pointed pumps from Gianvito Rossi which I think is correct. Each year I think her pumps get higher and higher, unbelievable how she is actually able to walk in those heels but of course it is something learn. I really can't get enough of black pumps, they are super classy and elegant. With a pair of jeans or black trousers they looks so chic! Mary seems to have the same philosophy because of all the different pairs of black pumps. Then we have the little grey/black Naledi Copenhagen clutch which I really think is a great match to what she was wearing. It is one of her first Naledi Copenhagen purchases, now she has the model in several colours and sizes. At the arrival Mary had this beautiful hairdo wearing a hat as well, my guess would differently be a creation from milliner Susanne Juul. To loosen it up, which I think was both great and a shame, she appeared without hat and hairdo when she and Frederik welcomed the Mexican Presidential couple at Kronborg castle in Helsingør a few hours later. I love the length of her hair right now. She accessorized her look with a pair of black leather gloves, some diamond rings from among others Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and pink diamond studs from Hartmann's. Aesthetic, stylish and extremely polished. By the way, I believe she added a Céline belt to create the illusion of an hourglass shape. Can't wait to tell you about her gala dinner outfit, so keep on reading.

I also want to give my sincere compliment to Mrs Angélica Rivera because of her bright green dress, really beautiful!

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary attending the gala dinner at Fredensborg Palace

As a tradition, Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik hosted a gala dinner in the evening at Fredensborg Palace. As you know Prince Henrik retired in the beginning of 2016, despite that he attended both the welcoming ceremony and yesterday evenings gala dinner which I think was great of him to do. The arrival and the Queen's speech were broadcasted on Danish TV two hours after the actually arrival, which I of course watched. What else would a royalist do when she finds out it's all broadcasted? No, right. One by one did the special guests arrive, ladies in magnificent dresses and gentlemen's in black suits. All cameras were set and ready for the royal family to arrive. First came Princess Benedikte, one of the Queen's sisters, then Prince Joachim and his sweet wife Princess Marie who was dressed in a smashing red lace gown, they were followed by Frederik and Mary whose clothes I will talk much more about. The reason why we didn't see Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik such as the Presidential couple arrive, is because they are all staying at Fredensborg where the dinner is held. Before the dinner, the guests were serviced a glass of champagne then they are met by beautifully decorated tables and golden chairs. From another entrance, the royal family members and the guests of honor found their seats around the long, main table. With a remarkable speech, it was Queen Margrethe who opened the evening and warmly welcomed President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera.

It's not the first time Mary choose to wear something as colour and bright as this at a gala dinner and something a little more plain during the day. This we have seen at several state visits hosted by Denmark. She is truly queen of the night! I was so excited when I first saw what dress she was wearing because she is a master when it comes to wearing her gowns over and over again. It looks new every time we see it. The exact same I think about this bright, red, layer gown designed by Jesper Høvring (SS13) who by the way had to comment on his own dress at yesterdays broadcast. He was very humble and didn't even mention he was the designer. Funny to watch. Back to her dress. As you can read all over the internet, she wore the same dress in 2013 at a dinner on occasion of the coronation of King Wilhelm-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands. I'm sure you remember it but you all seems to have forgotten she actually wore the dress at one more occasion before last night; in 2012 when she attended a gala dinner for the wedding of Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg and Countess Stephanie de Lannoy in Luxembourg. Both dazzling outfit! And the third time was no exception. A think we saw a mature Crown Princess Mary wearing an outstanding red gown. She wore it, with her golden glitter pumps from Gianvito Rossi, and brand new golden clutch and her wonderful 'new' tiara -we now know she purchased on an Bruun Rasmussen auction along with a pair of earrings. Thanks to Pernille and Kate to share their discovery with me, because they are both absolutely right about her wearing glitter pumps. Those were not worn last night but a pair we have also seen before. The most incredible about the outfit has to be her hair! When I saw that, I lost my breath... the most beautiful 60s hairstyle. Notice that she's wearing the yellow Mexican order instead of the traditional blue Order of the Elephant, which perfectly matched the yellow flower decorations.
