The Childen's Day 2017

Monday, November 20th

The Crown Princess was in a splendid mood when she, around noon, arrived to UNICEF in Copenhagen to attend the Children's Day. She was warmly welcomed with smiles, greetings and flowers. Despite the cold, everyone were in a great mood already from when the Crown Princess arrived. As part of her attendance, the Crown Princess gave a speech as key note speaker at the event. I have not read it yet, but I am quite she mentioned things from this years theme -education; national and globally.

Attending the Children's Day in Copenhagen, Mary was beautifully dressed in a bright blue dress and red coat. Both pieces are reused at previous occasions. The dress goes back to 2015 when she attended the Danish Home Guard's painting exhibition, here. It has never been identified. I have always had Prada in mind, but never really been able to confirm that. What thoughts have you had? When it comes to the magnificent red coat, it is completely different. First time she wore it, it was quickly identified as Diane von Furstenberg. Which means that this is the fourth time we see her wear it, herehere & here. She beautifully accessorized her look with several pieces from both Dulong Fine Jewelry, Orit Elhanati, Cartier and that little brooch from Women Deliver. At the arrival she showed us one of her latests new piece -a bright blue Prada bag perfectly matching the rest of her outfit. The two colours looks just great. She embraced a complete and polished look by wearing reused patent pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Anything you would like to change? -I can't mention a thing. I really like her hairstyle as well. Love the fact that it's a bit curly.

  1. Henriette:

This has nothing to do with fashion, however; I am really curious as to who is that lady that is always with the crown princess at events having to do with the Mary Foundation. At this event she is wearing navy blue pants suit with a black top. Further, wasn't she formerly a member of the Danish government, namely, a minister at one time?

I really love the red coat: it looks so warm and cozy!!!

Have a great rest of the week. We are celebrating Thanksgiving this Thursday, November 23rd in the US. Big feast day with family and friends.

    1. You know all kind of questions are welcome, also if they have nothing to do with fashion. The woman pictures with the Crown Princess on occasions with the Mary Foundation is called Helle Østergaard. She is CEO of the foundation. I think they two women have been working together right from the establishment of the foundation back in 2007 with Østergaard as CEO and Mary as chairwoman. From what I know she has never been member os the government. Maybe you confused her with Mary's lady-in-waiting, Chrstine Pii Hansen? -she was once Deputy Governor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, your family and friends! A lovely tradition you have.

    2. Henriette:

Thanks again for going above and beyond. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I must gave thanks for your lovely and informative blog! It is because of your blog that I have come to know about and, admire the crown princess well beyond her style--her passion for her role is evident and is to be admired.

      Best regards,

    3. You are very welcome. I hope I managed to answer your question satisfactorily -it seems so.

RW; thank you for being who you are. Everything you say is way too much. I just have a passion for the Crown Princess and I truly enjoy sharing it with all you. Every day is a pleasure.

  2. I have to give credit for her choice of designers!
