Presentation of the annual Christmas Stamp 2019 + a workshop

28 October

For years and years has Crown Princess Mary attended the annual presentation of the Christmas Seal Homes' Christmas Stamps. So did she this year. The Christmas stamp goes back 115 years in time and was created to gather money to the children staying at one of the Christmas Seal Homes in Denmark. There are five homes around the country.

At this years presentation the Crown Princess was accompanied by Count Ingolf of Rosenborg and his wife, Countess Sussie. The couple have for many years been committed to support the Christmas Seal Homes such as the Crown Princess. Seems like the three of them had a wonderful time along with Per O. Jørgensen. He is the artist who designed the Christmas Stamp.

It was as patron she attended the presentation of the very fine stamp showing children, gnomes (in Danish these little men are all 'nisser') and some animal gathered at one of the Christmas Seal Homes. The jewellery designer Mads Ziegler also created something very unique to support the good cause. He designed a necklaces shaped as angles. The necklaces are available in both gold and silver and a part of the money goes to the Christmas Seal Foundation, here.

After attending the presentation with children from Christmas Seal Homes, she participated a workshop with the Mary Foundation. It focuses on children and young people in Greenland that are growing up in a home of violence, sexual abuse, alcohol abuse and other social problems. At the workshop Crown Princess Mary and all the other participants were given an overview of the situation, the different actors and what must be done to help the children who need a more safe environment to live in.

Mary was beautifully dressed in a cool figure-hugging leather skirt and a lovey printed (and colorful) new blouse. The navy blue leather skirt is a reuse and was first worn with a black knitted blouse and matching accessories. This time Mary had chosen to embrace the style of the chic pencil skirt with a brand new blouse. A little 80s vibe hit me when I first saw the blouse. Maybe it is the colors. Her skirt was told to be from JOSEPH, but the model is all wrong. So it is still unknown to me where the skirt is from. Any ideas? The blouse on the other hand was quickly found as Roksanda. The designer that always amazed me with their sleeves. I love the balance between silhouette, colors and movement of the blouse. Smashing. When leaving the event, she showed that her grey wool-blend Massimo Dutti coat was a perfect match.

She embraced the style by wearing reused navy blue Jimmy Choo pumps. Loves how they almost hug her foot all beautifully. Looks really good on her. Not all shoes do good with ones hight, figure, legs, etc. These does the job perfectly. I do not see a bag or clutch, but I do see lots of incredible jewellery.

The diamond earrings are a design by Sophie Bille Brahe. Since the first time wearing them, Mary has loved flashing these earrings both day and night. And they do look good, right? She matched the earrings with a golden Cartier bangle and other bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry. One of the two diamond rings are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The emerald beads necklace are created by Nadia Shelbaya. A great and outstanding outfit.

Reception for the Crown Princess Mary Scholarship winners

Thursday, October 5th

Crown Princess Mary hosted a reception taking pace at Amalienborg, Frederik VIIIs palace on occasion of the Crown Princess Mary Scholarship 2017. The reception was in honor of the six Danish students who received the royal scholarships, which are handed over to two Australian exchange students, such as Danish students, each year since 2004. The scholarship was a gift from University of Copenhagen on occasion of the Crown Prince couple's wedding in 2004 and gives the Crown Princess the opportunity to show her interest in the world's future. In May she attended the presentation of the two Australian winners -Avril Jane Francis and Thomas Patrick Lynch, here. Accompanied by Wayne Goninon from the Department of Community Engagement & Partnerships at the University of Tasmania, the Crown Princess warmly welcomed the six Danish winners of the scholarship one by one in the rooms of Frederik VIIIs palace. Making the day even more special, all six winners were photographed with the Crown Princess and Wayne Goninon.

It is October and colours have changed. It's time to embrace burgundy, mustard, navy blue, grey and emerald green. We rarely get to see Mary wear yellow/mustard, which is really a shame. I managed to find most of occasions,  here, here, here, here & here. Any of you who would love to see her wear this wonderful colour more often? At the reception she hosted on Thursday this wish came true. She was beautifully dressed in a brand new mustard silk-satin blouse and navy blue midi skirt. I learned form Heaven that both new pieces are from Roksanda. Mary has worn this designers clothes on one other occasion in 2016 when she attended another reception for the Danish Maritime Forum, here. I would really like to see more clothes on Mary from Roksanda -looks great on her. Can't wait to see how she is going to style each new piece with the rest of her wardrobe. She embraced a magnificent look by wearing a couple of golden bracelets from, among others, Cartier and new drop earrings. These earrings I haven't managed to identify just yet. So, please let me know if you have any ideas. We get a glimpse of her shoes as well. It is a pair of navy blue pointed pumps from... Gianvito Rossi.

Danish Maritime Forum

Tuesday, October 25th

Queen Margrethe hosted a reception at Amalienborg Palace on occasion of the Danish Maritime Forum. Crown Princess Mary and Prince Joachim were also present at the reception.

It was about to become a wonderful evening at Christian VIIs Palace, Amalienborg, when Queen Margrethe hosted a reception on occasion of the Danish Maritime Forum. The forum entitled The New Normal: What will tehe future of the global maritime indutry look like when the fundamentals are changing? is taking place from October 26-27th where leaders and decision makers meet. At the same time is representatives from all over the world is gathered in Denmark to attended several different events on the area the Danish Martime Days from October 24-28th. Crown Princess Mary and Prince Joachim joined the Queen for the reception. And from what I see I believe they all, including all the invited guests, were having a great evening in each others company. Big smiles and happy faces.

That one I didn't see come! Bell-shaped sleeves. Wauw. I was told that it's from Roksanda which I do not believe we have seen Mary wear before, but I'm sure it's not the last. Unfortunately we only have very few pictures from the reception which makes it hard to see every detail of the dress and her whole outfit. A reason why I hope to see her in the dress again -soon. Because from what I see, it almost looks like Mary 'dissapear' in all that fabric. When I take a look at the model, I really do not see the same. So it's probably because the pictures are taken from a bad angle. What was your first impressio when you saw her in the new dress? She embrace the style with one of her Carlend Copenhagen clutches in yellow as the sleeves, a pair of earrings from Dulong Fine Jewerly and her expensive golden Cartier bracelet. Love the way her makeup turned out; very classy and chick -berry lips and dark eyes. Not to forget that amazing wavy hairstyle. This is not something I normally do, but I really have to make a comment on the Queen's outfit because that red suit looks magnificent on her! Very, very lovely who she matched a longer red blouse with a pair of loose wide leg trouers. Denmark have both a stylish Queen and Crown Princess, no doubt about that.
