The National Grief Centre's 25th anniversary

September 12, 2025

Queen Mary attended the 25th anniversary of the Children, Youth & Grief initiative by the National Grief Centre as guest of honor and as their patron. She was warmly welcomed at her arrived. The Queen was in a splendid mood. All smiles and heartwarming attention on her side.

The National Grief Centre offers free psychological support to bereaved families and their relatives. Especially their Children, Youth & Grief project has had the Queen's support. She had prepared a speech on the occasion. The Queen also met with some of the young people who have used the support offered by the National Grief Centre. They shared their stories with her.

How to spice a simple ultramarine suit? Just add a splash of pink accessories! I love Mary for her choice in color and accessory. Her matching set is from Max Mara. On a few previous occasion has she been seen wearing the trousers but it is the first time she wears the double-breasted blazer. It's kinda cool, right?

No doubt that I adore the pink flower brooch and reused Carlend Copenhagen clutch. Love it when she surprises us with details like these. The bespoke flower brooch is actually a removable pin worn as accessory on her hats. It is created by milliner Susanne Juul.

Mary also wore fine diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and an elegant golden necklace from Louise Grønlykke. I also see an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen ring.

Her chic glasses are Gucci and the navy blue suede pumps are from Jimmy Choo.

Officiel disembark from Dannebrog

September 10, 2025

King Frederik and Queen Mary have spend much time on sea during the summer visiting both Frederikshavn, Thisted, Læsø and Samsø. The couple have enjoyed many wonderful hours traveling with the royal yacht on their summer tour.

Today it was time to officially disembark and Dannebrog docked in Nordre Toldbold in Copenhagen around noon. The royal couple were warmly greeted at the dock by Danes who gathered to get a glimpse of the King and Queen.

Usually I'm not a huge fan of darker colors matched with soft colors like pastel pink, white, beige, etc. Somehow I think Mary did a good job with her colors-combo at the disembark on September 10. The balance is quite nice. The stunning lace dress from Temperley London and the simple black Prada jacket. Maybe it worked because she had chosen darker colored accessories.

Her hat is brand new from Canopy by Deborah Hutton. Similar to her other hats from the same designer. Kinda like the shape of the hat for her. The navy blue ribbon is a beautiful detail. Especially with her choice of blue Jimmy Choo pumps and clutch which is a much loved reuse from Quidam.

Mary wore earrings and a bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry such as a golden diamond bangle from Rebekka Notkin. Look closely and you'll see a diamond ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen as well.

Visit at the Faculty of Social Science & naming an electric tugboat

September 09, 2025

Queen Mary visited the Faculty of Social Science at University of Copenhagen as representative for Queen Mary's Center. The visit was focused on the faculty's impressive work to promote more welfare and innovation in the sectors of society. She also attended a lecture along with students of social science.

Her visit at the Faculty of Social Science at University of Copenhagen, she was given the honor of a naming ceremony. The naming of Denmark's very first electric tugboat 'Svitzer Ingrid'. The name is a gesture for Queen Ingrid.

Naming ceremony at the Ocean Dock in Copenhagen

I am truly a fan of prints, patterns and colors but never combined with black. I don't like the sharp contrast. Mary's outfit was indeed elegant but I wish she would have worn anything other than a black skirt and shoes.

Her beautiful flora printed blouse is from Zimmermann. It is the first time she wears it but my clever readers recognize it. Princess Josephine wore the blouse on her father's birthday in May of this year. White trousers are a way better match. What do you think? Mary styled the blouse with a brand new SKALL Studio skirt and black Prada belt.

Mary wore quite a few bracelets. Two of the golden ones are from talented Rebekka Notkin. They had company of two other Danish jewellery designer's: Dulong Fine Jewelry and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Love the choice of golden jewellery to golden buttons.

I'm not quite sure if her Malone Souliers heels are new or not. On a previous occasion she wore a pair of shoes identified as Souliers. I believe that is correct but due to blurry photos I'm not sure if these were indeed the model. At the naming ceremony Mary changed shoes to a pair of Chanel flats.

King Frederik and Queen Mary attended several events in Copenhagen on occasion of the annual Flag Day. By that they participated the honoring of soldiers who lost their lives in battle and their families.

First the couple attended a ceremony at Kastellet. They paid their respect with a moment of silence and a beautiful wreath placed at the Monument for Denmark's Internal Effort since 1948. After the official ceremony the royal couple attended a church service at Holmens Church. Followed by an official parade of the Danish Armed Forces at Christiansborg.

This event is much more than "the perfect outfit". I want us to stay a moment in silence and share a warm thought with those lost in battle, those soldiers who lost their lives and for those families left behind missing their loved ones.

Mary first wore this set back in 2017 when visiting Japan. Either you like it or you don't. What team are you on? I always liked the vibe but I see why somebody confused it with nightwear. The floral printed set is from Etro. She styled it with black mesh pumps from Gianvito Rossi and a reused glitter clutch from Sergio Rossi. Simply beautiful!

I'm pretty sure many of you noticed the stunning opal necklace. Magnificent, right? I'm 99.9% sure it is a gift from the JAA Opal Sector in 2006. This is its very first public appearance. Mary was gifted a pendant and Frederik received opal cufflinks.

As other jewellery Mary wore a colorful Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelet, a golden Rebekka Notkin cuff and a Cartier watch.

Board meeting with the Mary Foundation

September 03, 2025

Queen Mary hosted a board meeting with the Mary Foundation. The meeting focused on children and young people's leisure and how important this time is for them. How important it is for them to feel safe, learn something new and have fun at the same time.

Questions like these were discussed at the meeting: how can more children and young people become part of leisure activities? How are they meet when showing up - and what makes some to keep a distance to leisure activities.

Mary embraced a stunning and casual look when meeting with board members of the Mary Foundation. Looks like she was wearing a new white blouse and black trousers. I'm very fond of the blouse. The front part looks really interesting.

She accessorized her outfit with chic Gucci glasses. Her beautiful blue bag is a reuse from Paloroa. The braiding technique is dazzling. I guess she would have been wearing black pointed pumps.

As jewellery Mary had chosen a diamond necklace from Louise Grønlykke and a beloved golden watch from Cartier. She also wore a longer necklace. It looks new but I'm still not sure where it is from. Can't wait to identify it.

Opening of "Nature Week 2025"

September 01, 2025

Queen Mary participated the official opening of Nature Week 2025 at Ryvangen's Nature Park in Hellerup. 3rd grade students from Kildevæld School accompanied the Queen for a fun day in nature with a number of different activities honoring nature.

Nature Week last for a week and aim to encourage children and families to get out and enjoy nature. Nature Week was once called 'Nature Day' and is a nationwide event arranged by Danish Society for Nature Conservation.

I know this event was no fashionshow but her outfit was one messy thing. Practical trekking trousers, some casual denim and expensive diamond jewellery. It is a very strange combination. Nevertheless. Mary wore brand new Mountain Warehouse trousers, a matching dark green blouse and an iconic denim shirt from Ralph Lauren.

Her chic sunglasses are from Ray Ban. The hiking boots are classy ones from Salomon.

Mary accessorized the outfit with a diamond necklace from Louise Grønlykke, a golden Rebekka Notkin bangle and a colorful bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The ring is very likely from Oura.

Day 4. Summer tour with Dannebrog

Samsø

August 28, 2025

King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived with Dannebrog in Koldby Kås in the morning. They were warmly welcomed by the Mayor, Marcel Meijer.

Then they enjoyed a carriage ride from Koldby Kås to Tranebjerg were they were officially welcomed at Anton Rosen's House at Anton Rosen's Square. Around noon they royal couple visited ExamVision. They produce special magnifying glasses for dentists and surgeons worldwide.

Followed by a visit at Tranebjerg Church, and then lunch at the famous Brundby Rockhotel. They ended their day in Nordby.

This rather pale range of beige/brown colors actually look really good on her. Especially with her light brown hair and fair skin. I would look like I just fainted. Mary wore her elegant ME+EM dress and a reused linen blazer from Harris Wharf London. Love the mix of fabrics. The new Canopy Bay by Deborah Hutton straw hat was a perfect match with the outfit.

She always impressive when wearing this many pieces of jewellery and still make it look super casual. Her white pearl earrings are old custom-made ones from Dulong Fine Jewelry such as a couple of her bracelets and beautiful ring. Her other two golden bangles are from talented Rebekka Notkin.

I am still not sure about her Gianvito Rossi pumps. I'm not really a fan of kitten-heels - especially not pointed kitten-heels. But the textsure it marvelous.

Reception

In the evening the royal couple hosted their very last reception this summer tour at Dannebrog with invited guests from Samsø. The reception even triggered a new profile photo of the couple for social media. What a beautiful couple.

You know what I'm going to say: who do not like a good old colored dress! What a smashing green color. Love how the designer's at Zimmermann balanced it with a soft floral print. Almost watercolor-like. What a treat for our eyes this last day on their summer tour around Denmark.

I wish we had a fullbody photo to see what shoes she had chosen. I am curious. What do you think? - white, green, yellow..? We get a glimpse of her beloved golden diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and her stunning Louise Grønlykke necklace. I get why she loves it.

Day 3. Summer tour with Dannebrog

Læsø

August 27, 2025

King Frederik and Queen Mary have now arrived in Østerby Havn on Læsø. The couple were welcomed with a fine speech given by Mayor Tobias Birch Johansen. Present were representative from the municipal council of Læsø Municipality.

Part of their visit on Læsø was to visit Læsø Saltworks and Læsø Museum. Here they were given a guided tour by museum director Simon Kyhn-Madsen. First they enjoyed a 'nature safari' and lunch at Rønnerne.

I love that she has embraced the colours of September. The colors of Autumn. My favourite time a year. Like how she balanced the warm orange with brown, beige and white. Makes a great match. The stunning linen blazer is from Boglioli. Mary first wore it in December 2022. She also wore a beloved Athé Vanessa Bruno blouse and a chic By Malene Birger midi skirt. Later Mary added a brown knitted jumper (or best) to keep warm and her Scandinavian Edition coat.

She embraced the style with a reused Canopy Bay by Deborah Hutton hat and fine Prada ballet flats. When participating in the nature safari at Rønnerne she changed to a pair of NIKE sneakers. The sunglasses are Ray Ban. I learned the her new crossbody bag is from a brand called Guanabana.

Mary wore jewellery from a number of Danish designers - Dulong Fine Jewelry, Rebekka Notkin and Louise Grønlykke. Her old golden watch is from Cartier.

Afternoon tea

After a long day on Læsø the couple returned to Dannebrog getting ready to host an afternoon tea reception for invited guests from Læsø municipality.

The guests were served sandwiches, strawberry cake, scones, the and tea. The royal couple then have the opportunity to say thank you for their day on Læsø.

Hosting the afternoon reception on Dannebrog Mary wore a reused printed Vilshenko dress. Somehow I always loved this dusty pink floral print with a black background. That is usually not the case for me. We do not that that many photos of her from the event but I guess she would be wearing black suede pumps or soft rose pumps.

As jewellery Mary had chosen diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe, her elegant Louise Grønlykke necklace and bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry and Rebekka Notkin. Hair and makeup were also spot on!

Day 2. Summer tour with Dannebrog

Thisted

August 26, 2025

Arrival in Hanstholm

King Frederik and Queen Mary have now arrived in Hanstholm. The couple were welcomed by Mayor Niels Jørgen Pedersen at Hanstholm Harbour where Dannebrog docked. They were officially welcomed at The Old City Hall in Thisted. Mayor Pedersen and his spouse accompanied the King and Queen on the carriage ride from the harbour to the city hall.

The royal couple then visited Naturlandsbyen (the natur village) where they also enjoyed lunch. Followed a visit at Surf & Work and The landing site in Vorupør.

I love the idea of a summery outfit! That dusty-colored printed ME+EM dress is simply remarkable - especially for the event. The hat was a wonderful addition to match the softness of the dress. It goes way back in time to when she was pregnant with Crown Prince Christian in 2005. Mary also did a great job with the other accessories: stunning powder pink sling-back heels from Gianvito Rossi and later ballet flats from Prada. What is not to like? Even her Max Mara handbag matched perfect in color. BUT...

She lost me when choosing a black chopped jacket. Indeed I like the Prada jacket but not with this dress. I think it mix up the experience in an odd way. What was your first thoughts?

Mary also wore a number of different pieces of jewellery. Like the beautiful white south sea pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. A couple of bracelets (and her ring) from the same designer and Rebekka Notkin. Louise Grønlykke created her fine necklace. The sunglasses are from Thierry Lasry.

Reception

King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted an evening reception for invited guests from Thisted municipality. The reception took place at Dannebrog in Hanstholm Harbour.

Mary looked like a dream at the reception! She captured everybody in her brand new white ME+EM dress. It has such an elegant silhouette and the detailing is incredible. Just look at the sleeves. Can't wait to see when she is going to wear it again. I already imagine a fine dinner or evening event. The classy white coat is a reuse from BOSS.

What caught my eyes first is hair outstanding hairdo! Always loved when she is having these soft and curly hairstyles. Makes any outfit complete on a whole other level.

Pretty sure we have seen the diamond earrings before but I have never been able to identify the designer. Her beautiful Louise Grønlykke necklace and Rebekka Notkin bracelet are a wonderful match.
