It was a big day for Grønningen in Copenhagen when the Crown Princess attended the 100th anniversary exhibition. Grønningen is an art museum representing Danish artists since 1915. This was about to be celebrated with a special guest of honor. The museum's 40 members as well as a few artists were also invited to attend the anniversary, as well as Minister of Culture Marianne Jelved and CEO of Glyptoteket Flemming Friborg. Both of them gave each their speech at the opening. Afterwards, Mary and the other special invited guests had plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful pieces of art on the walls. I am not a painting fan but these really impressed my with all its colours and stunning motifs.

Mary also really also impressed me with what she was wearing at the opening of the anniversary exhibition. Different shades of blue! She both wore brand new pieces and some reused ones we haven't seen her wear for years. When she arrived to the exhibition she wore her reversible coat from Massimo Dutti featuring large pockets. The jacket has a navy blue coloured side and one checkered –we have seen both sides at two different occasions. About the blouse, then I am sure we have seen it before but I can't remember when nor who designed it. Do you remember it? No doubt that your trained eye noticed that pencil skirt as the first thing. The first designer that came to me, seemed to be right where to find it. At JOSEPH. Whether or nor you like it, then it's the latest trend and Mary makes it work perfectly. The navy suede pumps she has worn several times at different occasions, lots of people have talked about who the designer is – Alexander McQueen, Gianvito Rossi etc. But suddenly a new designer appeared, Pura Lopez, and by mail they confirmed that she is in fact wearing one of their models. She also carried one of her favourite clutches from Quidam in a matching colour which she has in grey, black and blue. You may remember that I started this post by claiming that she also was wearing something reused -that is the necklace. Actually she wore it the day her second child, Princess Isabella was christened in 2007, here. Now I managed to identify it as Marianne Dulong. The earrings are also new but I haven't been able to track them down. So, if you have any ideas, please let me know.
