Opening of Generation Equality Forum 2021

30 June

With a clear calendar, Crown Princess Mary had time to fly to Paris and attending the opening of the Generation Equality Forum. Prior to the opening, she met with Phumzile Mlambo-Ngucka the UN Women Executive Director and Anita Bhatia the UN Women Deputy Executive Director. The meeting took place ahead of the opening ceremony at the Danish Embassy in France.

Later that day, she arrived to the big opening of the Generation Equality Forum - an international summit that focuses on gender equality. Crown Princess Mary attended the summit as Honorary Advocate for Leaders for Generation Equality. She was accompanied by the Danish Minister of Development Aid Flemming Møller Mortensen. They two of them arrived at the same time.

The French President Emmanuel Macron hosted the opening ceremony at Carrousel du Louvre. Gender Equality Forum is organized between France, Mexico and UN Women. It gathered Ministers, international organizations, businesses from all over the world, etc. as a common platform to discuss issues and possible solutions for more equality. But the summit also marked the 25th anniversary of the Beijing-declaration constituted in 1995 as part of the UN's 4th World Conference.

I guess she arrival a day prior to the opening or earlier that Wednesday morning. Ahead of the opening ceremony of the summit Generation Equality Forum, Mary participated a meeting with Phumzile Mlambo-Ngucka and Anita Bhatia. For that meeting, she had chosen to wear a brand new blue suit. A comfortable and stylish linen blazer with matching trousers. Hope we get a close look some day soon. I feel in my bones that I will love it even more. She kept her outfit very simple. Suit, white t-shirt and brown leather belt but it works! Keep it simple, right? Mary really made that clear with this look.

Later that day, she changed to another stunning outfit. Arriving with Flemming Møller Mortensen, Mary wore a new black dress from Prada. I learned about the dress from Heaven. It features a pleated skirt, white dots and rather large gold buttons. In a way it features many retro vibe. Do you like her new dress? As Jennifer noticed, Mary has decided to make a few adjustments. A few golden buttons have been removed, some part of the satin ribbon has also been cut off and originally it comes with a little black bow on the neckline. In a second, I thought about something was different about the two dresses, but nothing I payed attention to. Maybe because the adjustments are so natural and well-made.

She accessorized her look with white pearl earrings and a golden bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry, such as a diamond ring from the same creator. Her other golden bangle is from Cartier. One of her most beloved pieces of jewellery. A close look revealed a diamond ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and two diamond bracelets from the same talented designer. Love this combo of bracelets.

The beautiful light brown leather tote is a Prada handbag. Mary has worn it on several occasions, but I was never able to find the right color. Apparently, it is hard to find this model in brown. Now I hit the jackpot. I found her brown Prada bag in the lovely brown color. She matched the bag with beige python pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Her face mask is from Kartó - a reusable mask. What an outfit!

Inauguration of Herlev's new Emergency Room and Woman-Child Center

02nd June

The last week, the weather has been phenomenal. Warm with lots of sunshine. The perfect weather for an inauguration. That is exactly what Crown Princess Mary attended. She visited Herlev to inaugurate the new emergency room and woman-child center at Herlev Hospital. It includes around 300 new rooms for patinas, special designed green areas and a new Emergency Room. The two new wards are connected with a main entrance.

Crown Princess Mary arrived in a splendid mood. She was one big smile. Many were gathered close to the main entrance to get a glimpse of the Crown Princess. She took her time greeting them. Minister of Health, Magnus Heunicke and President of the Regional Council, Sophie Hæstorp Andersen gladly welcomed the her and followed her at a guided tour around the brand new facilities in Herlev.

For the official inauguration, Crown Princess Mary cut the iconic red ribbon with a (very) golden scissors. She was given a clear view of what these new facilities have in advance - several new rooms for patients, a brand new emergency room, among others a trauma department. Many of the rooms have a view of the outdoor green areas that should function recreationally and as sensory areas for patients and their families.

I think we can agree on at least one thing: Mary's outfit at the inauguration of the new emergency room and women-child center in Herlev, was absolutely stunning! She was so radiant with the warm smile and summer chic outfit. Her look was really well put together. That light blue Victoria Beckham blouse and floral printed white midi skirt from Paul & Joe are a magnificent combination. Don't you think? She has worn the blouse on quite a few previous events, but the skirt is now only seen for the second time. Mary first wore the skirt, when she attended the grand opening of Holmegaard Værk in Fensmark back in June 2020 (here).

She embraced the style by wearing lovely blue earrings and a matching ring both from Pomellato. I am impressed how well they match the blouse in color. It is almost the same shade of blue. Mary is a tru fan of golden jewellery. I get it: gold looks beautiful to her fair skin, brown eyes and dark brown hair. At the inauguration, she wore her golden bangle from Cartier and two other bracelets from talented Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Another accessory that complimented her look with true perfection, is the burgundy leather handbag from Hugo Boss. I wish these handbags would be highest fashion again. I simply love the shape and color. I still need to track down the model in the right burgundy color, but it also looks splendid in green leather as the link shows. Her beige python pumps are from Gianvito Rossi. The exact same as those from Prince Christian's confirmation on May 15th (here).

Since she started wearing a face mask, I was wondering where it could be from. Mary is not wearing the one-time-face-masks, but instead she wears reusable masks. Finally, I was able to find them at Kartó.

Visiting Jonstruplejren

03th May

Yesterday, Crown Princess Mary made a more unofficial visit to Jonstruplejren in Ballerup. At the moment, Jonstruplejren houses soldiers from the Danish Home Guard and personnel from the Danish Emergency Management Agency. It has become a "headoffice" for a COVID-19 hotline, where people can call and get some answers for whatever question they may have about the pandemic. It also works to help track down phone numbers on people infected with the virus.

Around 300 people, both from the Danish Home Guard and civilians, work at the contact tracking unit and Crown Princess Mary met some of them. What the unit does, is to track down Danes infected with the virus and find out more about their close relations. With this knowledge, they are able to track a network on how the virus has spread out.

Paying a visit to the hotline, she was even given the opportunity to follow a call from a citizen reaching out to the hotline.

Visiting Jonstruplejren in Ballerup, Mary really amazed me with what she was wearing. That navy blue colour is one of my personal favourites. She wears it with such grace and elegance, even thought it is the most relaxed everyday outfit. A closer look made me aware that she wore quite a few brand new pieces of clothes. From Heaven, I learned that her new jumper is a creation from Chloe. Look once again. Did you notice the cuffs? - they have small 'Cs' embroidered. Incredible and beautiful detail. Mary matched her blouse jumper with wide legged trousers and a navy blue wool-blend coat. I really like the different layers of clothes.

She embraced the look with white pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. These earrings goes way back in time and as time goes by I think this is her most beloved piece of jewelry. The golden bangle is also a creation from talented Dulong Fine Jewelry and the matching diamond band is from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I have also been able to identify her black face mask. It showed up at Kartó.

I would like to get a better look at her pointed boots. I strongly believe they are ankle boots in a dark blue color or black. With what we have seen so far, I think they are old but I cannot tell more about them at the moment. One day, I need to know the technique to create this hairstyle. It is the most classic "Mary hairstyle" and even after 11-12 years of following her moves, I am still not able to copy it. Any hairdressers out there who can help me?

Launching "State of World Population report 2021"

22nd April

Happy. One big smile. Great mood. That is the perfect combination to make it a wonderful day and Crown Princess Mary was indeed in a smily mood, when she arrived to Gerlev Idrætshøjskole in Slagelse. She was about the attend the launch of The State of World Population report 2021.

The state report an annual report made by UNPFA, which Crown Princess Mary is patron of - for almost eleven years now. The report includes both world populations developments and trends.

At the arrival, she was kindly welcomed by Flemming Møller Mortensen. He is the Minister of Development Corporation and Minister of Nordic Collaboration. He welcomed her with a kind and friendly smile.

This year, the State of World Population report focuses on owning your own body. More specifically the event was entitled "My Body is My Own". We have the right to decide over one's own body. In a speech, Crown Princess Mary made it clear that this is a very important topic to give attention. You find her speech here.

I was thrilled to se that Mary had chosen a grey pants suits for the launch of The State of World Population report at Gerlev Idrætshøjskole in Slagelse. I always loved a good old suit and Mary makes it look splendid and marvelous every single time. This included. A really lovely and well-tailored suits from Alexander McQueen. I learned about it at UFO No More. Mary matched her new grey suits with a simple white blouse. At the moment, I cannot tell if we have seen it before or if this is also brand new.

She also accessorized her look with the most incredible jewelleries. First thing I noticed was the golden ankle bracelet. Did you see that too? A closer look makes me believe that it is from Dulong Fine Jewelry - and of course new. We have never seen her wear any kind of ankle bracelets because and especially not at an official event. Do you like it as much as I do?

Mary embraced the outfit with yellow diamond earrings as well as her golden Cartier bangle and another one from Dulong Fine Jewelry. I am sure you also noticed that lovely grey necklace. To me it looks like her old necklace as worn in, among others, 2010 (here). I still need to confirmed it, but I strongly believe that her necklace is from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

The black handbag is an old goodie from Bottega Veneta and the grey suede pumps are from Gianvito Rossi. I kinda like how she matched her shoes with the color of her outfit. Grey can be a difficult color to wear, but Mary rocked it. Grey suit. New grey scarf. Grey pumps. A really beautiful outfit completed with her Kartó face mask.

Briefing at WHO's office

24th February

For several months, her calendar has not been fully packed - it still isn't. The pandemic is still a reality in Denmark as in many other countries. After a 2-3 months lockdown, Denmark is now ready to open up some stores and businesses again. Maybe, within a month or two, Crown Princess Mary will also be back at work with a few jobs in the calendar.

Nevertheless, the Crown Princess has attended quite a few meeting's with several organizations and foundations. She has done everything in her power to support those children and young people, who suffers from solitude due to the pandemic.

On Wednesday, she participated a meeting with Dr Hans Kluge, Regional Director of WHO. The Crown Princess herself took part in the meeting as patron of the WHO's office for the European Region. It took place at WHO's office in Copenhagen.

She was given a briefing and a status que on the fight against the world spread pandemic COVID-19. The meeting included a status on both the in the region and worldwide. Dr Hans Kluge also shared his view on the region's health challenges and the importance of ensuring that the health systems adapt to the post-pandemic crisis.

I feel so inspired by Mary's outfits these days. Both new and old looks. This new outfit from meeting with the WHO yesterday is really great. Very professional and still relaxed. Mary embraced the style by wearing her old Hugo Boss silk blouse. This powder pink color makes me look forward to spring. More light and bright colors. She has already worn it quite a few times and at the meeting she matched it with simple black trousers and a brand new tweed jacket.

Heaven managed to identify Mary's new tweed as Sandro. According to the webside, the jacket is navy blue. It features golden buttons and beautiful hemline details. I spot a thing belt as well, but I cannot recognize it at the moment. Her face mask is from reusable face mask is from Kartó.

She topped of this incredible outfit with her most beloved golden necklace from Orit Elhanati and a reused navy blue leather bag from Prada. I have never found the exact same model with the blue center only the red one. Did you notice that Mary has her nails painted in the most amazing purple color? She also wore black pointed shoes, which could be from either Pura Lopez or Gianvito Rossi. She topped of her outfit with her Gucci glasses.
