The world premiere of Jaha’s Promise

Thursday, March 16th

Crown Princess Mary attended the world premiere of the international documentary Jaha's Promise at Grand Theatre, Copenhagen.

As one of the most prominent key note speakers of girls and women's right and health, this was the perfect event for the Crown Princess to attend. For many year Mary has been committed to improve rights and health solutions for girls and women all over the world. Then, on Thursday, she attended the world premiere of the international documentary Jaha's Promise at Grand Theatre in Copenhagen. The documentary deals with topics as circumcision and child marriages another area Mary has worked with on several occasions. Jaha Dukureh, another leading figure on this topic, also attended the premiere along with her daughter, such as the documentary's instructor did. The two women have met before on a previous occasions. Mary watch the documentary next to Jaha and her daughter.

Important events takes powerful outfit. At the international world premiere, Mary was dressed in a plain black suit. Long tight trousers and a rather long Zara blazer featuring some incredibly interesting seams. This new black blazer has been identified by Kate. At first I was not even sure if it was new or one of her old blazer. But now when it has been found at Zara it is clear that it's new. Another piece that is differently new, worn at the premiere, is the lace blouse underneath. The first designer that came to me was Heartmade Julie Fagerholt and now it has been found from their spring/summer 2014 collection, here. So far I haven't been able to track down a stock picture of the blouse and I really hope one of you are able to help me. I really look forward to hear about your findings! She accessorized her classy business look with black pearl earrings and a matching ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The grey Quidam clutch was a great way to make sure that everything about her outfit isn't just black -the same goes with the lace blouse. Ever though about the fact that Mary always wears blouses as this one, when she is wearing suits? Last but not least, she wore her black pointed SAND Copenhagen pumps.

  2. Henriette:

The new look of the blog is awesome. The lace blouse worn by the CP looks familiar to me: it's like I have seen her wear this before but I can't seem to find a photo.

I also think that the choice of black for the event directly relates to the passing of Prince Richard, as the Queen also wore black for her engagement directly after the announcement of his passing.

Prayers of comfort to the Danish Royal Family as they mourn the passing of a dear relative.

All the best and stay safe.

    Regards,

    RW.

    1. Thanks Royalwatcher! I'm glad you like the changes :)

Her new lace blouse indeed looks like one we have seen before. May has several black blouses in the same design. Although, I am pretty sure this is in fact the first time we see this one.

It is likely that the Crown Princess wore black because of the death of Prince Richard. A way for her to show sympathy to the family who just lost a loved one. It must be a very difficult time for the family these days.
