'European Development Days' in Brussel

Thursday, June 6th

As just one of many, the Danish Crown Princess attended the European Development Days in Brussel, as guest of honor. The European Development Days takes place over two days every 12th year. This year the event theme was "Women and Girls at the Forefront of Sustainable Development: protect, empower, invest". Almost everything the Crown Princess has worked for in several years. She was not the only royal attending. Also Queen Mathilde of Belgium and Queen Letizia of Spain took part in the summit. The event gathered more than 8,000 participants from governments, civil society, universities and international organizations from 140 countries around the world. The Crown Princess attended several different events during the conference. Among others things, she met with UN Secretary-General Young Missionary, Jayathma Wickramanayake and visited the EDD Global Village and its UN Area. She also entered the stage and gave a speech, where she shared a messages in accordance to the theme. Eloquent as always. End of the days in Brussel the Crown Princess participated a meeting with the EU Commissioner for International Work and Development, Neven Mimica.

During her day in Brussel, Mary was dressed in a splendid bright blue dress. To me it looks brand new but reminds me of another red one (nevertheless, that was not the case). It turns out that she in 2016 wore at remarkably similar dress in a darker blue color, here. None of the dresses are yet identified. Therefor I would love to hear your ideas about designers. To me it could be anyone from Prada to Hugo Boss. Talking about Hugo Boss, I need to mention her new white tweed jacket because this new piece has been found at this specific designer. I learned about its identity from Heaven, who have it from Samantha. Thanks to both of you. The combo of a blue dress and white jacket looks really great, don't you think? Makes me wanna try something similar. Maybe a figure hugging dress and a white blazer would do.

Mary embraced a polished and sophisticated outfit by wearing diamond earrings, her snakeskin belt from Balenciaga, matching Gianvito Rossi pumps and one of her Prada handbags. I also see her Orit Elhanati necklace and a dragonfly brooch. She even wore a bright colored nail polish. I always love when she wears nail polished and especially when she chooses these pink colors. What is you favorite color to wear on your nails?

Jacket  Hugo Boss Tweed Fringe Collarless Jacket
Belt ● Balenciaga Snakeskin Skinny Belt
Necklace  Orit Elhanati  The Abyss Necklace
Bag  Prada Saffiano Cuir Double Bag, Tan
Shoes  Gianvito Rossi Snakeskin Pointy Pumps

    1. Thanks for sharing your findings with me. The two dresses look indeed similar and could even be the same model, but the blue color is not the same. One dress is dark blue; the other one light blue. Still, I strongly believe the two dresses look very much alike.

  2. I think that it's same dress but the clear or dark accesoiries (jacket, shoes ,clutch) change the perception the color of dress.
It would be amazing that Mary buy the same colors for a same dress.

Sorry my english is low !

    1. It is likely that it's the same one. To me the colors just look different. Maybe someone out there has an opinion to share, for us to get closer to the right answer.
