Meeting with Crown Princess Mary Center’s Advisory Committee

28 March 2023

Time to catch up. The Crown Princess already attended a meeting with the US Ambassador in Denmark (here) and climate ambassador's (here). Last but not least, she participated meeting's with the World Health Organization and the World Wild Fund for Nature (here). All within the last month.

On March 28th, Crown Princess Mary participated yet another meeting. This time she met with the Crown Princess Mary Center's Advisory Committee to discuss green transition and the climate. The advisory committee presented how the Crown Princess Mary Center will be able to create a more sustainable community with new and original partnerships. A sustainable community focusing on the individual citizen's commitment and role in the green transition.

Mary looked really good, when participating the meeting with the Crown Princess Mary Center's Advisory Committee. She chose a simple, yet elegant outfit. We have seen her wear that lovely green Massimo Dutti blazer before. One time when attending "Verdenstimen Live 2022" (here) and when celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child 2022 (here).

Mary matched it with a beautiful black unidentified blouse and stunning grey Celine trousers. The Celine trousers are also a reuse. Like when she visited UNESCO ASP School in 2020 (here).

We get a glimpse of some golden bracelets. Once again, I am troubled to identify them because the lack of photos. I guess we have seen them before. Meaning, they are not new. Her yellow diamond earrings are old as well.

Love when her hair is just a soft ponytail. Looks good with the rest of her look. The tortoise-like glasses are from Gucci.

Meeting with the World Health Organization and World Wild Fund for Nature

27 March 2023

It was a patron the World Health Organizations european region and as President of the World Wild Fund for Nature that Crown Princess Mary hosted two meeting's. One face-to-face and one online.

First, she participated a meeting with the World Health Organization's Regional CEO Dr Hans Kluge. He was accompanied by Robb Butler. The Crown Princess was informed about the current situation in Ukraine and the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

Later on, Crown Princess Mary participated an exclusive presidential meeting with the World Wild Fund for Nature. She has been President of World Wild Fund for Nature since 2020. A title she "inherited" from her late father-in-law Prince Henrik. Since then, the Crown Princess has been committed to, among others, create awareness about biodiversity and its impact on wild nature.

At both meeting's, Mary wore the same beautiful blush Reiss turtleneck. She has worn it a couple of times before like when she the "Gender Diversity Roundtable" in March 2022 (here) and at the opening of "The Day of Research 2021" (here). Looks like, she matched the stunning blouse with black trousers and a reused raffia belt (here).

We also get a glimpse of a couple of golden bracelets. My best guess is that one of them is her beloved Cartier bangle - but it is simply a guess because the quality of the photos are really not that good.

Her glasses are also old. They are from Tom Ford.

Help me out

Hello my beloved readers ♥

Back in the days, when I first started writing about the Crown Princess, I also loved writing about others thing - not just her style. I posted about their residences, christenings, fun facts, special days, etc. I even made a series of posts with your names on. You were so kind to share your stories and passion with me about the Crown Princess and royals in general. It was so much fun to me - and you I believe.

The Crown Princess is so much more than just designer dresses and fancy shoes. I would really like to bring back "the good old days" and include posts about other things about related to the Crown Princess, her family, the Danish royal house, etc. again. But I need your help. What would be an interesting post for you to read? Let me know what you have in mind and leave a comment or write to me on styleofmaryblog@gmail.com

Can't wait to hear from you!

Meeting with climate ambassador's

14 March 2023

Tomas A. Christensen is Denmark Climate Ambassador. He was accompanied by Denmark's climate control chief negotiator Maria Samuelsen, when invited to Amalienborg by the Crown Prince Couple.

Tomas and Maria informed the Crown Prince Couple about the global climate agenda. A perfect extension of the business promotion visit to India from which they have just returned (herehereherehere).

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary was also informed about Copenhagen Climate Ministerial taking place on March 20-21st. An event to warm up to COP28 in December.

The court shared only a few photos from the meeting at Amalienborg. Nevertheless, I got a clue on what Mary was wearing, when participating the informative meeting along with her husband. I learned from Royal Fashion Police (here) that Mary's brand new striped blouse are from Vanessa Bruno. A known designer in her wardrobe. Not sure it is a personal favorite, but I like the colors on her.

I love how she styled her new blouse with a simple and casual ponytail. The length of her hair is so much an inspiration to me. The ponytail also revealed shimmery golden diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and Gucci glasses.

Meeting with the US ambassador in Denmark

10 March 2023

His Excellency Alan Leventhal had invited Crown Princess Mary to visit ham at his residence Rydhave to discuss (among others) the activities of Crown Princess Mary Center at University of Copenhagen.

Alan Leventhal is the US ambassador in Denmark.

Former chancellor of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Dr Rafael Reif also participated the meeting along with the center manager of the Crown Princess Mary Center Simon Kjær Hansen. Representatives from the university also participated the meeting.

Mary is truly wearing some pretty amazing outfits these days. Don't you think? I really missed her wearing this bright blue set from Gucci. It goes back to 2013, when she attended the presentation of the Carlsberg Foundation's Research Awards at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek (here). Mary has worn the set twice. Also in 2017 at the Danish Swimming Award (here).

I really love how she wore the Gucci set in a more simple way. With only a few pieces of accessories. If you take a close look - a very close look. You will see that Mary accessorized her outfit with diamond earrings shaped as flowers once purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction.

Her OUTSTANDING shimmery lace pumps are masterpieces from Dolce & Gabbana. Mary first flashed them at the premiere of the Nutcracker in November 2022 (here).

It is all about figthing

08 March 2023

It was a day of great importance for Crown Princess Mary and all other women because it was the International Women's Day on March 08th. The Crown Princess has been committed to help girls and women across the globe to better living conditions, rights and health. She has attended the International Women's Day and many other events fighting for girls and women.

First, the Crown Princess participated a Gender Diversity Roundtable on occasion of the International Women's Day. The Gender Diversity Roundtable is an initiative by UN Women and Boston Consulting Group. At the roundtable meeting diversity, equality and digitization were discussed. It took place in the UN City in Copenhagen.

Later on, she attended the celebration of the International Women's Day. University of Aalborg hosted the event. The Crown Princess attended debats on among others the paradox of equality, the value of women and inequality in the labor market.

YES! Another wonderful suit. Look at her in that incredible Massimo Dutti suit. The dark green color looks amazing next to her fair skin and beautiful brown hair. Mary's has worn the suit before. Like, when she attended Verdenstimen Live 2022 (here) or at the 20th anniversary of Children, Youth & Grief in 2020 (here). At the celebration of the International Women's Day 2023, Mary had chosen a great green turtleneck to match the suit. Made a fine monochrome outfit. Do you like it?

Mary embraced the style by wearing outstanding leopard pumps from Gianvito Rossi. She has worn the pumps before. For instance, when attending the celebration of 200 years with schools in Denmark in 2014 (here) and in 2016, when attending Copenhagen Fashion Week (here). Somehow, I favor the shoes worn with the suit.

Her smashing brown leather handbag is a Max Mara creation (and not Massimo Dutti as some indicated). In my opinion, a design worthy to become an icon. Her golden earrings are from talented Rebekka Notkin and the Tiger Eye ring is from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Roundtable meeting with the Maternity Foundation and UNFPA

07 March 2023

Since 2008, Crown Princess Mary has been committed to combat maternal mortality. A couple of years later, she became patron of the Maternity Foundation. They work by the vision that "It should not cost life to give life".

Along with the Maternity Foundation, Crown Princess Mary has closely followed the global development - for better or worse.

On March 07, she participated a doubtable meeting with the Maternity Foundation and UNFPA. Representatives from both the public and private actors also participate the meeting. She was given an update and inside in the latest numbers on maternal mortality. The numbers have improved but far from enough.

The Crown Princess shared her thoughts on social media by saying that it is hard to understand that the number of maternal mortality are what they are because in many cases it can be prevented.

At the meeting, Mary had chosen a simple and causal outfit. She match a lovely dark blue turtleneck with black trousers. Somehow, I think she has worn the turtleneck before but at the moment I can't remember when.

I really like that she added a light colored Etro belt. Makes the outfit really eye-catching. Mary also embraced the look with some golden bracelets and her beloved Gucci glasses.

If she was wearing black suede boots or pumps are impossible to say. My guess with be ankle boots. The weather in Denmark is all about spring, summer, fall and winter at the same time.

Day 4. Business promotion visit in India

01 March 2023

For three days, the Crown Prince Couple have been accompanied by a business delegation of 36 Danish companies in India. They are attending a business promotion visit to promote the green transition with main focus on water and energy.

On their last day, they split up during the day and had jobs to do on their own. While Crown Prince Frederik visited IIT Madras Research Park, his wife visited the Larsen & Toubro - an Indian based engineering company that work with both industry, energy, electronics, IT, construction, etc. The Crown Princess also visited the Henning Holck-Larsen Museum located next to Larsen & Toubro's Headquarters in Chennai.

Crown Princess Mary also paid a visit to the Headquarters of Grundfos. The reason for her visit was a seminar on water sector cooperation between Denmark and India. The Crown Princess gave a speech at the opening of the seminar.

The couple accompanied each other when they were welcomed by Tamil Nadu's Governor H.E. R. N. Ravi.

In the evening, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a final reception to end the business promotion with style. The business delegation from Denmark also attended the reception. The commitment between Denmark and Tamil Nadu was celebrated. After the reception followed a dinner with Grundfos. They celebrate their 25th anniversary doing business in India.

During the day in Chennai, India

Those of you who have followed Style of Mary for some time will know that I am totally in love with suits. Especially, when Mary wears them. I get chills every time she chooses to wear one of her suits - or just color matching outfits. Looks good on her. This brown suit is no exception. Just look at her! Isn't that an incredible outfit? Actually, she has worn the trousers once before, when attending the launch of UNFPA's "State of World Population Report 2022" (here). But the blazer is never seen before. I learned that Mary's blazer is also from marvelous Max Mara. The same goes with her new white blouse as well. Can't get enough of this outfit. Wauw.

Mary embraced the look with some smashing pieces of jewellery. She repeated wearing necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. If the symbolism is what we have come to believe, then it is even more precious. We get a glimpse of a diamond bangle from Ole Lynggard Copenhagen and a beautifully crafted ring from Rebekka Notkin as well. Of course - the earrings. At the moment, I do not know a thing about them.

When Mary first wore the Malone Souliers heels, I was no fan (at all!). Thought they looked a bit odd and funny. I changed my mind. This is a perfect example of how much ones mind can change, when a piece of accessory is worn differently.

At the final reception and anniversary dinner

In the evening, Mary had changed to something a bit more glamorous. She had chosen an old custom-made dress made by Søren Le Schmidt. She first wore it for the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes award show in 2020 (here). I like it a bit more this time. Don't know why but I do.

Mary was wearing stunning diamond and Aquamarine blue earrings once purchased on an Bruun Rasmussen auction. They go way back. She has worn them on a number of different occasions. Like, when visiting New York in 2005 (here) and in 2013, when Denmark hosted an official visit from Finland (here). Once again, she also wore her Halberstadt og Julie Sandlau necklaces. The diamond bangle from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen is also the same as earlier. She added a golden piece from Dulong Fine Jewelry as well.

A couple of days prior to the final reception, Mary accessories a look with her pink satin box clutch from Bottega Veneta (here). She repeated that success. The magnificent light grey satin pumps are delicate creations from Manolo Blahnik.

Day 3. Business promotion visit in India

28 February 2023

A couple of days ago, the Crown Prince Couple arrived in India accompanied by a Danish business delegation of 36 Danish companies (here, here). The delegation are participating a business promotion visit with focus on the green transition centered around water and energy.

On their third day in India, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary first attended the opening of "Partners for Green and Sustainable Progress". The core of the business promotion visit. Crown Prince Frederik acted key note speaker and gave the official opening speech. "Partners for Green and Sustainable Progress" is a platform to gain insight in additional market opportunities and build knowledge of new partnerships and business opportunities in India.

Crown Prince Frederik then participated in different sessions at "Partners for Green and Sustainable Progress". Meanwhile, Crown Princess Mary paid a visit to All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences. She visited the hospital as patron of Maternity Foundation. She was given inside in the foundation's work in India, while visiting the hospital in New Delhi.

The royal couple also met with the participating Danish companies. All part of the Danish business delegation. Later on, India's President Droupadi Murma welcomed the Crown Prince Couple at the Presidential Residence.

I am not sure I had expected an outfit like this. Nothing wrong with it, I am just surprised she wore something so "casual". Maybe because she was to visit the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences hospital? Nevertheless, I really adore the match of her reused Etro coat with the plain black trousers and Hugo Boss blouse. Mary made it looks so elegant. Nothing overdressed about her. I am very curious to hear what you think about her outfit on day three.

Learned from UFO No More (here) that Mary's brand new black sling-back pumps are from Gianvito Rossi. It was love at first sight. I truly love these them Rossi shoes. Imagine them worn with a lighter dress or maybe some colors.

Somehow, we haven't been blessed with that many photos of her accessories from their time in India. So, we have to work with what we got. The delicate golden diamond earrings are stunning creations from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Have a faith of instinct that tells me that the long necklace is their design too. Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau are designers of her other two golden necklaces.

Look closely and you will see two Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen rings as well. In my dreams, I will one day own a leaf ring. Isn't it beautiful?

If you are lucky, you have seen a glimpse of a pink accessory in her hand - a clutch. It is a pink Vanessa Croco Clutch from Carlend Copenhagen. The same goes with her Thierry Lasry sunglasses. We only get a glimpse of them.

Day 2. Business promotion in India

27 February 2023

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary arrived in India the previous day on February 26h. The royal couple are in India to participate a business promotion visit along with 36 Danish companies. The visit forces on the green transition with special attention to water and energy. A number of Danish politicians will also participate the delegation.

On the second, the Crown Prince Couple accompanied each other all day. First, they visited India's Minister of Foreign Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar at ITC Maurya in New Delhi.

Later on, the couple visited Mahatma Gandhi's monument. They paid their respect with a beautiful wreath on occasion of his death 75 years ago. Then they enjoyed lunch hosted by Vice Prescient Jagdeep Dhankhar. It was part of the official welcoming ceremony. Before the Grand Dinner, the royal couple attended the opening of a silver exhibition at New Delhi's National Museum.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary visiting Mahatma Gandhi's monument

I truly had no idea what to "expect" from her, when it comes to outfits. Think I had something like this in mind. Summery, light and in powdered colors. Mary in that Olga Vilshenko dress is a dream come true. She looks absolute stunning. It is simple in color and silhouette, but yet elegant because of that delicate floral print.

Mary embraced it beautifully with custom-made earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Look how well their blue color match her dresses flowers! The earrings have replaceable pendants - some of them are here and here. We get a small glimpse of her magical necklaces from Halberstadt and the personalized Julie Sandlau creation. She also styled the outfit with a couple of diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

I am not sure I would have chosen the same Dior clutch to this look, but it could have been worse. I like the material with the flowly dress. She had chosen a pair of reused suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

The Crown Prince Couple attending Grand Dinner

In the evening, the couple attended Grand Dinner along with the rest of the Danish business delegation. Mary looked breathtaking! I feel the same goes for everyone else: Mary was indeed Queen of the Night. Right? The impressive asymmetric gown is a creation by Danish designer Søren Le Schmidt. Every single time she has worn it, Mary has impressed the world with her beauty.

The earrings are classy and traditional Portuguese design. Mary has worn hers before. Among others at Red Cross' 150th anniversary in 2014 (here). Think it was the first time she wore them. Incredible choice. Looked great with the golden Halberstadt necklace and Julie Sandlau creation.

Mary was also wearing quite a few bracelets. I am able to identify one of them as Rebekka Notkin. The blush pink knotted clutch is Bottega Veneta's iconic design.

... and - I am a HUGE fan of her "hairpiece". What a lovely accessory.

Day 1. Business promotion visit in India

26 February 2023

About fourteen days ago, it was announced that the Crown Prince Couple were going on a business promotion visit in India. That they would be accompanied by a larger business delegation of 36 Danish companies.

The main focus for this visit will be the green transition with special attention to water and energy. Several Danish politicians will also participate the delegation.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary arrived on February 26th. They were warmly welcomed (here).

First, they couple payed a visit to the famous marble monument, Taj Mahal. It is located close to the city of Agra. The monument was build from 1632 to 1653. It was the great mogul Shah Jahan who build Taj Mahal in honor of his late wife Mumtaz Mahal.

Followed was a visit to Agra Fort. The Fort is surrounded by a 2 kilometer wall. The Crown Prince Couple were given a guided tour around the Agra Fort. They were introduced to more than 1,000 years of history. Agra Fort is yet another great masterpiece by the great mogul Shah Jahan.

Usually, the couple arrive in silence. Often we see nothing from the arrival, but when they arrived in India they were warmly welcomed and a photo was taken - and later posted. It shows Mary wearing a wonderful and casual outfit. I truly adore these private outfits of hers. They make the greatest inspiration to me. She looked beautiful in a reused Imperial Fashion blazer and a beloved Athé by Vanessa Bruno blouse. The soft white linen trousers were an elegant match. Her tortoise-like glasses are from Gucci and the classy sling-back flats are the iconic design by Chanel.

When later visiting the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort, Mary changed outfit. She has worn the outfit before on a work visit in Ethiopia in 2019 (here). I am not sure, I was ever a true fan but for this visit it worked with perfection. The paisley printed skirt is from Etro. She paired it was a simple white button-down blouse and a raffia belt. I really want to be able to identify that belt, but I have not been lucky just yet.

Mary embraced the look with plenty of amazing golden jewellery. The main designer of her jewellery are from the Danish brand Dulong Fine Jewelry. They custom-made some of the pieces. Among others, the colorful beaded bracelet and the rather large golden ring.

For quite some time, I have been looking to identify some new necklaces of hers. I know you have all been loving her new 'F' necklace. Halberstadt turned out to be the creator. I was able to identify it a while ago. I learned about her medallion necklace from Heaven. The stunning (personalized) piece is from Julie Sandlau.

We already know about the Thierry Lasry shades. Seems to be one of her favourite pairs. A the moment, I have no idea where to find her brand new espadrille wedge sandals. Any ideas? They do a smashing combo with the rest of the outfit.

Church service for Ukraine

24 February 2023

Exactly a year ago, on February 24th 2022, Russia started the invasion of Ukraine. Much has happened since then, but Denmark's support has never changed. The Danish Parliament showed their full support and care for Ukraine and its people with a church service in Holmens Church in Copenhagen on the anniversary.

Along with Danish Parliament, the Ukrainian Ambassador in Denmark and the Danish Government, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary also showed their support and respect for the Ukrainian people by attending the church service on February 24th.
