Meeting with the French Minister of Education and Youth

22 September 2023

It was with great pleasure that Crown Princess Mary welcomed the French Minister of Education and Youth Gabriel Attal at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg in Copenhagen on Friday afternoon (here).

The French Minister has come to Denmark on a short visit to gather inspiration on how to combat bullying and create better welfare in French schools.

When meeting Gabriel Attal, Crown Princess Mary discussed how the Mary Foundation try to develop initiatives to combat bullying and solitude among children and young people in Denmark. On of these initiatives are the "Free of Bullying"-project established in collaboration with Save the Children Denmark. Today, more than half of all day care institutions have implemented the project as part of their everyday.

Please, tell me you know anything about her brand new bright blue trousers! I really want to know where they are from. Just look at that color. It is simply amazing. Why haven't she worn anything like this before. I adore them. Hope I will be able to identify them soon. Love that she matched it with a plain white The Fold London blouse. Looks very elegant and polished. Perfect for meeting with the French Minister of Education and Youth.

Mary embraced the style with a reused Etro belt and same-color pointed pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Blue and brown are damn good colors as a combo. Don't you think?

We also get a glimpse of golden earrings. I am positively sure that they are from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Look closer and you will see her beloved golden necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau.

Day 2. King Carl Gustaf's Golden Jubilee

15 September 2023

Kungl. Slottet, Stockholm

Queen Margrethe, Princess Anne-Marie and the Crown Prince Couple arrived in Stockholm the previous day to attend the grand celebration of Kin Carl Gustaf's Golden Jubilee. The Swedish king celebrate his 50th anniversary.

On Friday, they all accompanied that Swedish royal family and visited King Gustaf 6. Adolf of Sweden's memorial side in Hagaparken (here).

Later on, the Queen, Princess Anne-Marie and the Crown Prince Couple attended a church service in Te Deum. The service was then followed by changing of the guards. The royal family watched the changing from the balcony of the royal palace.

Wauw. Mary looked soooooo beautiful when attending activities on occasion of King Carl Gustaf's Golden Jubilee on September 15th. It is the second time she wears this amazing blue printed Erdem dress. First, was when Denmark hosted an official visit from Norway earlier this year (here). Mary embraced the delicate style of the dress with a matching fascinator.

I have never been able to identify it, but hopefully I will some day. It goes back to the coronation in the Netherlands in 2013 (here). Love its simple and elegant design.

As jewellery, Mary had chosen stunning diamond earrings once purchased at a Bruun Rasmussen auction back in 2022.

She matched the dress and fascinator with a beloved Quidam clutch, Gianvito Rossi leather pumps and what looks like a lovely blue cardigan.

Gala dinner

In the evening, friends and family were invited to attend a gala dinner at Riksalen at Kungl. Slottet (here). Both Queen Margrethe, Princess Anne-Marie, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the dinner.

King Carl Gustaf gave a welcome speech before the dinner, where he embraced his role a King of Sweden. How much it means to him to represent Sweden, his family and the Swedish people. He also took the opportunity to thank his beloved wife, Queen Silvia for spending her life with him.

If the midnight blue evening gown in fact is a reuse with alterations, I have not confirmed, but it looks a lot like another one of her gown (here). Nevertheless, her gown worn at the gala dinner in Stockholm is mastered by Danish designer Lasse Spangenberg. About now, he has created quite a few dresses for her.

Mary styled her evening look with a very special tiara. Her wedding tiara. It was given to her by Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik. Her new parents-in-law. The story goes that her aquamarine earrings are a gift from Crown Prince Frederik. But I do not know for sure. The story is the same with the HUGE ring.

The two diamond cuffs are made by Annikat. Love that she wore both of them. We get a glimpse of her wearing a diamond hairpin - which I believe is a brooch. I think it could be this one.

She also matched the outfit with a blue satin box clutch from Prada and satin pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

Day 1. King Carl Gustaf's Golden Jubilee

14 September 2023

Arrival

On September 14th, the Crown Prince Couple arrived in Stockholm, Sweden to attend King Carl Gustaf's Golden Jubilee (here). He celebrate his 50 years anniversary with family and friends.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary flew to Stockholm and are staying at the Royal Yacht Dannebrog along with Queen Margrethe and Princess Anne-Marie. The couple arrived around noon - a little after the Queen and her sister.

Mary looked amazing in what I believe is a brand new light brown (linen?) suit paired with an old Athé by Vanessa Bruno blouse. She first wore the blouse in Rio de Janeiro in 2026 (here). Mary styled the rather casual outfit with a brown leather belt, Gucci sunglasses, a beloved Ralph Lauren bag, Gianvito Rossi sandals and golden Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings.

Gala performance, Drottningsholm Slottsteater

In the evening, Queen Margrethe was accompanied by sister Princess Anne-Marie, son Crown Prince Frederik and daughter-in-law Crown Princess Mary at a gala performance at Drottningsholm Slottsteater in Stockholm (here).

After followed a dinner at Drottningsholm Slott.

To mention some who also attended the magical evening: Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. Princess Madeleine and husband Christopher. Prince Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson and wife Birgitta Kristersson. Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia. Queen Sonja and Prince Haakon of Norway. Presidential couples from both Finland and Iceland. And the l

Mary stunned in her custom-made Lasse Spangenberg evening gown. This is the third time she is wearing it. We first saw it at the celebration the Mary Foundations 10th anniversary in 2017 (here). Worn plain and simple. Mary repeated the success a year later, when Denmark hosted an official state visit from France (here). The gown was then added a fine black silk "sleeve". So far, my personal favorite version is from the gala performance in Stockholm.

She accessorized the magnificent outfit with a beloved birthday present from Queen Margrethe. The precious earrings. Matched with a turquoise ring. Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau are creators of her fine necklaces and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen mastered the diamond rings.

Look closer and you will see her reused black glitter clutch from Sergio Rossi and mesh pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

Presentation of the "National Teaching Award 2023"

11 September 2023

Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of The Ministry of Education and Research's "National Teaching Award 2023" (here). The ceremony took place in the beautiful Opera in Copenhagen.

She was accompanied by Minister of Education and Research Christina Egelund to present this years seven winners of the "National Teaching Award", which is given to honor teacher for, among others, their commitment and professional curiosity.

The seven award winners are:

● Lecturer Lise Dissing Møller from Copenhagen University of Applied Sciences

● Study lecturer Helle Graabæk from Design School Kolding

● Lecturer Lena Brogaard from Roskilde University

● Assistant Professor Bo Meier from UC Southern Denmark

● Lecturer Frits Giversen from Aarhus School of Mechanical Engineering

● Associate professor and deputy head of institute Mads Pagh Nielsen from Aalborg University

● Associate Professor Jonas Fannikke Holbech from the Copenhagen Business Academy

Mary looked incredibly beautiful in her reused printed Zimmermann blouse. The details are simply exquisite. Love the fact that all buttons are different. Easy way to upgrade an old dress or blouse. This time, she matched the stunning dusty colored top with old white Proenza Shoulder trousers. Dreamy!

The Crown Princess embraced the style by wearing lots of amazing jewellery. I have never been able to identify her white/yellow diamond earrings. Maybe one day. She has worn them a million times before. Such as with the two bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry - and the Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen rings.

As a morning gift on her wedding day, she was in 2004 given a diamond watch from Cartier. Over the years, Mary has added quite a few different wristbands. This light brown one is rather new. Looked great with the MaxMara handbag and old Prada pumps.

Gala premiere of "Ehrengard"

06 September 2023

Queen Margrethe was accompanied by her daughter-in-law when attending the grand gala premiere of "Ehrengard" (here). A film that is directed after the famous Danish writer Karen Blixen's novelle from 1962.

The gala premiere took place close to the two royal ladies homes - Moltkes Palace in Copenhagen.

Queen Margrethe has contributed to the film by creating more than 70 decoupages. A personal hobby of hers. She has also worked along with Director Bille August in the creative process.

Mary was truly a sight for sore eyes when she attended the gala premiere of "Ehrengard" at Moltkes Palace in Copenhagen. She looked stunning next to her beautiful mother-in-law. I was also very impressed by Queen Margrethe's outfit.

Mary wore an old coral lace dress from Collette Dinnigan. Originally, it is floor-length. Like we saw when she first wore it in 2013 at the wedding of Prince Madeleine and Chris O'Neill (here). In 2022, she had the dress altered (here). Now it is a bit shorter. Which length do you prefer?

At the gala premiere, Mary embraced the style by wearing Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces, a golden Rebekka Notkin bangle, Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelet and one from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Look closer and you will see that she also wore a couple of diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The earrings are brand new. They have been identified as Rosing.

I was never really a huge fan of either clutch or shoes, but she really made it work with the Collette Dinnigan dress. The soft gold looks amazing with the bright coral pink.

Presentation of the "Danish Business Award 2023"

06 September 2023

It was all about 'digital power of action', when Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of the "Danish Business Award 2023" (here). The award ceremony took place in Øksnehallen in Copenhagen.

Five different Danish companies competed to win this year. The winner was JN Data. Crown Princess Mary handed over the award herself. Congratulations to JN Data with the prestigious award and the title!

The Danish Business Award 2023 is presented on occasion of the Danish Business Anniversary.

It is just a simple black dress but I am in heaven! Mary looks amazing in her brand new GOAT Fashion dress. The silhouette is gorgeous on her and the details are exquisite. Delicate! She looks so comfortable in her new dress.

Mary accessorized it with plenty of beautiful jewellery. Like the golden Rebekka Notkin bangle; the custom-made rose-quarts earrings and bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry and expensive Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces. A wonderful combination. We also get a glimpse of some diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

She was also wearing yet another piece of jewellery. A brooch. In fact, her belt is actually an old brooch. Mary first wore it at the 67th WHO Regional Committee for Europe in 2017 (here). It is still to be identified. LOVE that she shows how to use a brooch nothing like a brooch. Magnificent!

I am not quite sure if I get why she chose her blue Quidam clutch with those snakeskin pumps from Gianvito Rossi. That is still a mystery to me. Do you like it?

Flag Day 2023

05 September 2023

Every day, thousands of Danish soldiers are send abroad on missions to fight for a better and more secure world. To help those in need who live in daily fear. Many of them because of war.

September 5th has become a day of celebrating these soldiers. To recognized their efforts, honor them and their families. Not least, to honor those we lost in a fight.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a parade at Kastellet in honor of the Danish soldiers. They also brought with them a very special wreath in memory of fallen soldiers.

Later on, they attended a church service in Holmens Church and a memorial ceremony at Christiansborg.

Mary had chosen a stunning outfit when celebrating Flag Day 2023. She wore an old black Hugo Boss blouse and a reused floral printed Andiata skirt styled with a Celine belt. I adore the silhouette of this look. So elegant. Casual, yet delicate.

She embraced her outfit of honor with a wide-brimmed Susanne Juul hat and matching dusty pink flower. The hat is also a reuse. The beautiful white pearl earrings I once identified as Christian Dior. Looked magnificent with her customized Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelet. Just look at those large white pearls! Actually, Mary was wearing two Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelets and a single diamond ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

As other accessoires, she wore dazzling Gianvito Rossi patent leather pumps and a beloved satin box clutch from Bottega Veneta. Think it is one of her most beloved clutches.

Gladsaxe Tennis Club

29 August 2023

Along with the Mary Foundation, the Crown Princess visited Gladsaxe Tennis Club in Søborg (here).

The Mary Foundation and Gladsaxe Tennis Club have worked together to focus on "Antibulli Tennis" - a project that tries to create strong relationships and better welfare amongst children doing tennisteams.

Crown Princess Mary joined the children in several different practicing games and later on a tennis match. From what I have seen, they all enjoyed it very much.

Oh.. I simply love when Mary is wearing these down-on-earth outfits. She does not hesitate to wear what everybody else is. She proved that when visiting Gladsaxe Tennis Club in Søborg.

Mary showed up wearing her very own "Antibulli Tennis" t-shirt. By that, she matched all the children from Gladsaxe Tennis Club. She then wore comfortable black trousers and a beloved FALKE running jacket. Mary has been wearing the jacket quite a few times before. Like, when participating Royal Run in 2018 (here).

A closer look revealed to me that Mary had chosen a few pieces of jewellery as well. Her beloved necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. The delicate diamond earrings and rings are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

With time, Mary are known to wear sneakers on all kinds of occasions. This time it makes perfect sense. These are from NIKE.
